The Monstrous 18 litre V8 Ford GAA
The Monstrous 18 litre V8 Ford GAA: The Biggest Petrol V8 Ever Built That Powered The Sherman Tank The Ford GAA engine is an American all-aluminum 32-valve DOHC 60-degree liquid-cooled V8 internal combustion engine with a flat-plane crank designed and produced by the Ford Motor Company before and during World War II. It displaces 1,100 cu in (18 L) and puts out well over 1,000 pound-feet (1,400 N⋅m) of torque from idle to 2,200 rpm. The factory-rated net output was 500 hp (370 kW) at 2,600 rpm. And one in a mustang for size reference. What a beast!

23-year-old John Parks from Mill Town, Indiana was in the 4th Armored Division and was voted "Man of the Year" by his fellow soldiers. This picture appeared in the Dec. 22, 1944, issue of Stars and Stripes, a daily newspaper published for the U.S. military. The next day Sgt. Parks was killed by an explosion in Luxembourg.

I was building a new texturing workbench and made this sherman tank to test this tileable rusty paint material. I figure I should use this as an asset for Isla En Moratoria to serve as a lend-lease tank.

I had no idea I allready made 12 Shermans the last 11 years. I am now working on nr.13! These Shermans leave me as fast as I can make them so it's no wonder I forgot most of them, luckily I still have some pictures.
