I know much is (rightfully) made of David Holliday's singing voice, but can I for a moment draw your attention to Shane Rimmer's singing voice?

The time traveling alien known as the Doctor (Doctor 1) and his companions arrived in Tombstone in the old West of America in October of 1881. The Doctor had a toothache and sought out the local dentist who turned out to be Doc Holliday. Soon the Doctor and his companions found themselves intertwined in the events accumulating in the famous gunfight at the OK Corral. ("The Gunfighters", Doctor Who, vlm 1, TV)

OUT OF AFRICA 1985
I'm with you because I choose to be with you. I don't want to live someone else's idea of how to live. Don't ask me to do that. I don't want to find out one day that I'm at the end of someone else's life.

Thunderbirds Are Go (1966) Thunderbird Six (1968). Alan For One, and One For Alan | Stam Fine Reviews
Stam Fine Reviews takes a look the the 1960's feature films based on the Thunderbirds TV series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson. Thunderbirds Are Go sees International Rescue prevent a sabotage attempt on a manned mission to Mars, and later rescue the crew of the mission. Thunderbird 6 sees an attempt to take over Brain's Skyship One while Jeff Tracy wears Brains down to a nub in looking for a new Thunderbird craft.
Neither is the pinnacle of Thunderbirds, but for many it would have been the first opportunity to see the show in colour, and in widescreen. Well, Techniscope. And Alan Tracy, well, there's a lot of Alan Tracy. Is Alan your favourite? Then these films are for you!
Both films are Directed by David Lane and are written by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson.

David Graham (1925- 2024): Daleks, Rolls Royce Machine Guns, and a Couple of Submarines…
David Graham (1925- 2024): #DoctorWho Daleks, Rolls Royce Machine Guns, and a Couple of Submarines…
I was away on holiday when I discovered that David Graham had passed away at the grand age of 99. It took the shine off my vacation a little as I was vividly reminded that I have gotten to a stage in life where the generation that entertained me in my formative years – be it music, films, or television – are now very old or are disappearing. It won’t be long until that entire generation will only…

Donald Sutherland guest stars as the appropriately named Philip Guest, a less appropriately unbalanced kidnapper, in Gideon's Way: The Millionaire's Daughter (1.21, ITC, 1966)
#donald sutherland#fave spotting#gideon's way#the millionaire's daughter#1966#itc#classic tv#:(#I've had this rattling around in my drafts‚ with a whole heap of other Gideon's Way posts‚ for months now#just waiting for me to get around to tagging them and getting a few final quotes etc (moving abroad did not help in that regard)#a sad reason to be dragging this out from drafts but it felt fitting somehow to mark Don's passing with one of his earliest and#most obscure roles. anyone who has followed my fave spottings at all (follow the tag for more early Sutherland) will know i have always#championed Donald's status as surely the most successful rentayank on the scene; they were an (unofficial) group of actors‚ mostly from#Australia or (like Don) Canada‚ who'd moved to the UK for work and found themselves filling just about any American role on classic tv or#in minor Brit films. Don was far from the most prolific‚ spending just a few years in the uk where others (eg Paul Maxwell‚ Shane Rimmer#Charles Tingwell and more) ended up staying for most of their long careers. but Don did the rounds‚ turning up in shows like this and#The Avengers‚ The Saint and The Champions. he even managed to fit in a couple of films‚ including Hammer's Die Die My#Darling (aka Fanatic) and the wonderful Dr Terror's House of Horrors for Amicus. then it was on to bigger and better things...#i can't think of many legitimate Hollywood leading men (and he absolutely was that) to show such incredible range#to work so diversely across genre and across style and to jump so readily from trashy blockbuster fare to genuine art film#in many ways he was a jobbing character actor somehow caught in the career of a full blown movie star; those films were all the better#for that fact and for his sheer dedication to his craft‚ to having fun‚ to doing the kind of stuff he wanted to do#truly a one off. we don't get many Donald Sutherlands. we should cherish the ones that we do#rip

With Season 10 finished, here are five Death Battles MUs I'd like to see
I don't think it is surprising to anyone who follows me that I'm a fan of the Rooster Teeth acquired series Death Battle. It's probably my big guilty pleasure series, and I've talked multiple times before about Death Battle MUs that I've wanted to see, but this time, I'm taking this a bit more seriously.
So, what are the likelihoods of any of these match-ups making full episodes? Probably not very, but it's not like they're not possible to do. I'm going to make it so not all of these picks have obscure characters, but I will have a couple more obscure characters on here.
Also to make things more clean, I will be disqualifying any match-ups that have been part of my Disney Duels Polls, so these are five of the many match-ups I would like to see Death Battle tackle.
#5. Lister & Rimmer vs Grif & Simmons (Red Dwarf vs Red vs Blue)
This one is at the bottom of the list because, I've already talked to death about this one, straight up even writing my own battle between these guys, which you can read here if you're interested.
This is a really good idea though because Grif and Lister are both underachieving, slobby, kind of in a position they really don't want to be in, and Rimmer and Simmons are both uptight, arrogant, rule-following, pseudo-human smeg heads. I think this would be a really fun battle between them both, and it's about time Red vs Blue got an episode with an opponent from a different franchise.
#4. Odo vs Shane Gooseman (Star Trek: Deep Space 9 vs Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers)
Okay, I'll be honest, I know next to nothing about The Galaxy Rangers, that was not something that aired on Teletoon Retro when I was a kid, in fact I really struggled to find a good MU for Odo, so this is more of my Dad's suggestion.
Can you believe that ten seasons have gone by, and not a single Star Trek MU? No, Kirk, Spock, Picard, Q, Sisko, Bashir, Garrak, Odo, Dax, not a single MU, well I think season 11 should have one, and while I'm gonna bet they'll probably have Captain Kirk, I can hope that they make this duel between the shapeshifters of space.
#3. Cybersix vs Jack (Cybersix vs BioShock)
Okay, this one would just be awesome. These two are genetically engineered who ultimately rebel against their creators. Oh this one would be so good, I wanted to write this as a battle, but I just... never felt like it. Writing is weird, don't take it up as a hobby.
I think this would be good too because BioShock could really use an MU, it is a franchise that is fading into irrelevancy a little, which sucks because the first game was so good, but I think it still has some interest that this battle could be done. Hey, if people can still be asking for Cole MacGrath vs Alex Mercer or Travis Touchdown vs Jack Cayman, I don't see why I can't ask for this one.
#2. Katara vs Lapis Lazuli (Avatar vs Steven Universe)
Straight up, Steven Universe needs another MU, and the Crystal Gems are so full of potential for match-ups, like Garnet vs The Meta, Jasper vs Luke Cage, Pearl vs Undyne (Though I'd personally prefer Pearl vs Zuko), and one I've been hoping for for ages, Katara vs Lapis Lazuli.
Two absurdly powerful water-benders pushing each other to their limits, this one would be so good. Plus. correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they've done a full on Aquamancer themed match-up, I think the closest may be Aquaman vs SpongeBob? But that was a joke... and kinda sucked.
Anyway, number 1!
#1. Lief vs Bilbo Baggins (Deltora Quest vs Lord of the Rings)
This is the Match-up I've been wanting since season one... Okay well more specifically I was asking for Lief vs Frodo, but my brother is more of a Tolkien fan than I am and he told me that Lief vs Bilbo was a better idea, so I'll go with that one.
However, the characters don't matter too much, because the real battle I'm curious about is between the Belt of Deltora and the One Ring.
Okay, bear with me, The Belt of Deltora is a magical belt, it can only be worn by the true king and it has several gemstones on each piece, gem has a magical ability, like the Topaz which can strengthen a clean ones mind, and the Lapis Lazuli that protects from evil.
I want to know if the Belt of Deltora can protect Lief from the One Ring, and if Bilbo could use the ring's corruption to his advantage.
I was a big Deltora Quest fan in middle school, I even found the anime adaptation on YouTube, so I really want more people to get into the series and pull it from obscurity, because I really want people to talk about this with.
Anyway, these were five Death Battle Match-ups I'm itching to see, here's hoping they eventually happen.

So... I kinda fell into the rabbit hole of Donald Gray's (the VA of og Colonel White, Captain Black and the Mysterons) filmography. Watching The Vice: Mark Saber show where he's the main character, some audio dramas and shows where he's featured.
Much like Shane Rimmer, Peter Dyneley, Matt Zimmerman and Ed Bishop he's so recognizable! You could pretty much tell by the way he talks and his accent. Now everytime I hear a character who's played/voiced by him, I can't help but to imagine Colonel White doings things as the characters does. Mostly doing detective work. 😂
Help me and my silly brain :'D

Watched Dr. Strangelove because of Shane Rimmer, even though I only hear his voice in the film.
I didn't read the synopsis before I started watching, so I didn't know it was actually comedy.
Funny line I'd like to share: "Gentlemen, you can't fight in here. This is the War Room!"

Season 3
The Gunfighters
The TARDIS arrives in Tombstone in the Old West, the Doctor seeking a dentist for a painful toothache. Unfortunately a band of gunmen are in town seeking revenge against drunken gambler Doc Holliday, and the Doctor fits the description they've been given.
We take our first, but not last, trip to the wild west, and, oh dear, it's really not good. Remember those really dodgy accents in New York in The Chase? They're even worse here. At least in The Chase they were consistent. Here they slip all over the place. With Dodo and Steven's attempts to mingle, it's generally played for laughs, but the others that are trying seriously generally don't land. Some don't even really try to hide that they're actually English. Not even the presence of Thunderbirds alumni Shane Rimmer and David Graham, in a rare physical performance and sounding a lot like one of his previous roles as Fireball XL5's Matt Matic, can do enough to prop up the others.
In addition, it's so generally dull. It's only 4 episodes long, but feels more like 8. And by the time you've heard that Last Chance Saloon song for the 4th time, because they insist on using it for almost every scene transition, it becomes very annoying. Especially when they start using it to narrate what's happening or to try and teach us something far too late. Were we supposed to just already know about Wyatt Earp in advance, like with the Reign of Terror?
Boring and annoying, and not even silly in a fun way. Don't bother with this one. I want those two hours back.
The next story, The Savages, is gone. Just as well, I don't think I could face another historical one. So next time: The War Machines.
