Apologies to my followers because I will begin liveblogging my AGOS experience starting with under the cut
They haven't even interacted in the book yet and the tension between Rhy and Alucard is already driving me insane (positive). If Rhy is the one who got Alucard that cat I'm gonna lose my entire mind

I recently finished rereading the Shades of Magic series by VE Schwab and I forgot how much I love that series. It's definitely one of my all time favorite fantasy series because it's the type that everytime I reread it, I fall in love with it all over again. I could not be more excited for The Fragile Threads of Power to come out now and I cannot express how happy I am the the author decided to revisit this world in a spin off series.

A Conjuring of Light - V.E. Schwab
I have waited six years to read A Conjuring of Light. And it was damn worth it. Let me tell you why. I first read A Darker Shade of Magic back in 2016, the year it was published in Portuguese in Brazil, and a year after its original pub date in English. In 2017 the second book came out in PT and I also read it. I expected, eagerly might I say given the massive cliffhanger at the end, for the…

No one gets nemesis and hate-based relationships like V. E. Schwab. Nobody.
It's about the intimacy. It's about the knowing one another even if you don't like one another. It's about how respect doesn't necessarily soften into affection or friendliness. Or conversely, how the deeper the friendship, the more twisted the hate once it's corrupted. It's about your reflection being the most like you but also your polar opposite. It's about having someone who fits the negative space in your life like you fit theirs.

Alucard: I only ever see you awake, do you ever shut down or stop running? Lila: Oh, I’m always running. Lila: The question is from what.

I've loved so many books by V. E. Schwab (adsom, tftop, villains, monsters of verity) that sometimes, I have this strong urge to re-read The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue (because it was my first book by the author and I hated it despite loving the writing, premise, and vibes/aesthetic), thinking I might love it now, but then my brain goes ‘what if you despise it even more?’ and of course, all urges go *poof* 💀

okay guys, can i get your recommendations for media to check out if you’re missing lockwood and co? can be because the vibes, the characters, the ships, the worldbuilding, anything about it gives you the same feel as l&co! i want to put together a little master post of things people can check out to fill the l&co hole in their lives while we keep fighting for s2 and it’s always fun to find new books/films/shows!
