She gets crushes easily, and just as easily she forgets one to focus on the next if her attention isn't instantly reciprocated. Can be stiff in a conversation with someone she's not familiar with, and is often much more relaxed when she can move while she talks, which is why dinner like first dates are certainly not for her.

She's more sentimental than she cares to admit and often struggles with her feelings when she knows that they don't respond to a logical behaviour, which often leads her to close off and avoid important conversations.

Confident, master of the innuendo. Loves good (and bad) wordplays and puns. She'd be the intersection in a Venn diagram between Witticism and Self Awareness. Her ability to both fill silences and end discussions in an entertaining manner make her an invaluable asset for any TV show.

Her bold nature lead many to mistake her openness for invitations to go further, which can end badly if anyone dares put a hand on her without her explicit permission.

Openly queer, Dawn is a big fish in the little pond of reality dating shows. Her newcomer label didn't stop her from making a splash from her very first episode. Now a coveted host in the reality world, she turned now the chance to renew her contract with the show that saw her become famous in favour of the upcoming Soul Sister.

The old-fashioned nature of TheGreat British Baking Show — watch these bakers of varying skills finagle their way through traditional English recipes with bits of flair — once felt like a perk rather than a flaw, but the show’s dedicated audience is growing frustrated with the judges’ dated tastes. . . . A disastrous “Vegan Week”–themed episode from series nine had both judges confused about the taste of nutritional yeast, though neither balked at the tofu-and-soy-milk ice cream Giuseppe Dell’Anno fed them in the “Free-From Week”–themed episode of series 12. While the show seems to sneak in challenges that celebrate alternative ways of eating and cooking, watching the judges engage and evaluate those foods feels a bit like watching them eat a plate of broccoli: They chew and swallow, brows furrowed, with little enjoyment. . . . For one, the Baking Show participants and audience have come to know these judges’ flavor preferences like the back of their hand —Leith likes booze, Hollywood doesn’t like peanut butter, and both show disinterest in the “grassy” flavor of matcha — and adjust their recipes accordingly. When Georgie Grasso cooked a rather traditional Bakewell tart in Pastry Week’s signature challenge this season, the judges fawned over her adherence to convention. What this piece should say and doesn't, is that all of this is because Bake Off is inherently British in its structure and approach. Where other cooking shows require judges to have diverse palettes and wide ranging experience with ingredients in order to be able to judge dishes based on ingenuity, creativity, and an understanding of flavors and textures, the judges on Bake Off are there to be paternalistic authorities to be catered to. They and their judgment are at the center of the show, not the food, or the bakers themselves. It's very telling that when the show moved to Channel 4, the language around judging changed from "the bakers will now be judged on their bakes" to "the bakers will now face the judgment of Prue and Paul" with the onus being on the judge's opinions, not the bakers' skill.

It's inherent to the Britishness of the show that there's a constantly reinforced social hierarchy in which the judges are at the top and the bakers must vie for their approval in an almost servile way; it's even more inherently British that the judges' approach to their job is to expect the bakers to cater to their personal tastes, not to expand their own palates - and that if they ever do, like when Paul went to Mexico to try new foods and brought ideas back for Mexican week, they still don't understand basic flavors let alone how to pronounce the names of ingredients and dishes correctly, and use their experience to lob condescending remarks to working class contestants who've never had the same opportunities, instead of offering knowledge and insight.

The same mindset of paternalistic classism that informed British colonialism for centuries is clearly apparent in Bake Off: this is why what sets it apart from other cooking competition shows is the judges' limited palate being forced on a group of middle and working class contestants who vie for the Hollywood Handshake and gear their recipes towards the judges' taste instead of their own creative impetus. Bake Off used to be a nice, innocuous show that set itself apart from the rest because it was about learning and support. It changed not just because Channel 4 wanted to imbue it with more tension (by tightening task schedules and extending the tension soundtrack to meet the needs of extended sequences in which bakers are panicking). When the show began to venture outside the confines of traditional British baking to more modern and international ingredients and flavors, it pulled back the curtain on how out of their depth the judges were, and what resulted was the current dynamics because of an unwillingness to learn and an insistence on enforcing class dyanmics.

And cue escapism.

She sees this and most likely got reminded of the game back home.

She literally recoils.

But then she shakes it off because in this reality she doesn’t have to worry about that. She’s willing to stay here forever. The lyric “I’m finally feeling free” insinuates that this is the first time she feels not trapped in her role.. Maybe doing this challenge 2 seasons in a row, with growing tension and emotions makes Lightbulb feel trapped within her persona of “the silly one”.

More escapism!

This entire song just talks about how Lightbulb is finally happy with the reality she made. It was her escape from the stressful life of competing. Here she no longer is the only one thats impulsive and unserious. Unlike how in the reality she's in where she is surround so many different personalities, where she clashes with her friends and fails to connect with others due to her "oddness"

But here she won't ever fail at a relationship, not if they are all like her.

After the song we cut to Lightbulb talking to the Inanimate Insanity Infinity. We see Lightbulb attempting to confide in them.

This is first time (to my knowledge) that we rlly see Lightbulb vent to others. She probably never wanted to vent to the others because she didn’t want to show her more sad side. Maybe she doesn’t think they can cheer her up? But these people are just like her, so maybe they’ll know how to?

Until they start spewing nonsense to her.. mirroring how Lightbulb usually attempts to help. This shows her directly how her methods are percieved by others.

Yk how I said they’re just like lightbulb? Well.. they do miss one thing.

Testtube can also symbolize Lightbulbs own logic and emotional side (and vice versa, the arc’s parallel).

Eliminating the logical, emotional ones can possibly symbolize exactly what Lightbulb does to her own negative emotions. She purges them only allowing the silly ones to stay and be present.

They get snapped to Elimination, the thing Lightbulb hates.

As much as she wishes to stay in this ideal world. She sees Testtube in danger and she goes to put a stop. This is when Lightbulb tries to gently and lightheartedly stop them because that’s what she’s used to. This can also be her actually trying to be serious but struggles to do so.

This is the best place to talk about what I mean when the contestants miss one thing..

They miss Lightbulbs negative human feelings. The ones Lightbulb doesn’t want to have. But remaining 2 dimensional and unemotional make the contestants off and inhuman. Did she really want to be like that? So positive all the time to the point shes inhuman? This is how she is seen by the other contestants, overly happy, unserious.

She then realizes.. sometimes goofiness needs a balance and gets serious (in her own way). She tries to be serious-

-But they keep laughing.

LOOK AT THAT FACE- anyways I feel like another problem Lightbulb has is the fear of not being taken seriously due to her abnormal nature. And this is apparent in this one frame. The face shows as if she was proven right. They won’t take her seriously.

Testtube begins to get angry at lightbulb for her nonsense just like Paintbrush.

She begins to feel a negative emotion and instantly redirects it to something funny, because she probably now thinks that Testtube won’t take her seriously like everyone in here. That and

Another instance of people thinking she’s just nonsensical idiot that stumbles into solutions.

Ok so a bit to unpack. So it’s shown that Testtube struggles socially but we see that she’s better at emotional connection (shown in future episodes more of and later in this episode) Meanwhile Lightbulb tends to be social but struggle with emotionality. Lightbulb tries hard to understand and comfort others when in need but tends to not be good at it.. She does try. And contrary to Testubes belief, she fails, a lot. Evident in her relationship with Paintbrush. People find her insufferable, and she knows it. Another reason to escape to this future.

Onto the solution! This entire solution is a projection of how lightbulb began to see herself with paintbrush.

Paintbrush was the one that tried the hardest and “took care” of competition for the team (like how they say salt does to anger pepper)

Lightbulb sat back and goofed off.

Paintbrush was the evident leader of the group even though Lightbulb was the designated leader.

And in lightbulbs point of view that’s what she thinks others viewed her as, a parasite that latches on.
