Sometimes, human beings need to hear the words (followed by action... naturally. ;)

raising an eyebrow at the post that goes “please read anti-colonial sci-fi from marginalized perspectives” and directly contrasting that against books by “white women” as if being a woman in general and a queer and mentally ill woman in particular (because I’m 80% sure they’re vaguing The Locked Tomb among others) isn’t a marginalized perspective.
like if you want to say “please read sci-fi by authors of color” or “please read sci-fi by authors whose cultures have in fact been subject to colonialism and oppression from an imperial force” then absolutely yeah I support this but just goddamn Say So

Part of me is glad that Mirio became the #1 instead of Bakugou. But the other part is wondering what the fuck was the point of claiming everyone would be the #1 then putting one person who wasn't even part of that group at the top

the thing where you just want to talk about your ocs with your friend, but those ocs are characters in a play-by-post game for which you've only just sent the first letter and you Know that the anticipation will only make the blorbofication of your ocs all the sweeter

i lose my mind when rp blogs have "dni proshippers" because it doesn't narrow down what you actually mean. if you mean "people who ship adult x minor" or "incest shippers" then SAY THAT
or better yet, say "I will not interact with [blank]", it gives you more oomph.
but if you just say "dni proshippers" literally most people have zero idea what you mean. just say what you MEAN. YOU DON'T NEED SHORTHAND

i hate the word “pretty” i never use it. it should be gone from the english language.
just say beautiful, cute, interesting, gorgeous, stunning, divine, breathtaking, mystifying, dazzling, mesmerizing, majestic, or lovely.
like… “pretty”??? what the hell does that mean it’s such a nonword

I say what I mean or feel, especially during arguments. I don't deny what I said. I own the shit I say.
Saying the phrase 'It was taken out of context' is just trying to look like the good person in the situation.

And here we go with the “Black romance is always about oppression” takes again🙄. Like at this point no amount of recommendations are gonna help. Neither is telling these ppl that Black romance spans genres. Like most of the Black romance I’ve read has been cozy romance so where are y’all getting this idea that most Black romance books include something about oppression??? I even enjoy the street/hood romances like…please be so fr and just say what you wanna say at this point. White romance is better to you cuz it’s easier to digest. Yes you will be called out for your antiblackness but it will make things much easier for all of us.
