The new Gremlins cartoon looks so good!

Gremlins has always been something I thought would be perfect to get an animated series, but it just never happened for some reason.

And now it's FINALLY happening with "Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai"!

What's interesting about this show is that it's a prequel to the movies, with a young Sam Wing as the protagonist.

Yup, the elderly shop owner from the movies, and Gizmo's original owner/caretaker, is getting an origin story!

(Seriously though, lil Sam is just so adorable! ^^)

And it looks like they'll be going deeper into the lore, like the nature of the mogwai!

Look, a whole village of the critters! ^^

Speaking of, I love how perfectly they captured the chaotic energy of the gremlins! These guys are just gonna frikkin rampage, and I'm all here for it! lol

And we also get a new antagonist too! I'm curious to learn what this guy's deal is!

But yeah, it took them literal decades, but they finally made a Gremlins animated series, and I'm really looking forward to it! I can't wait! :D

I really enjoy, Gremlins: Secrets Of The Mogwai

Is it just me or does Elle reminds me of Jack Spicer and Sam Wing kind of remind me of Omi, are at least how they interact reminds me of how Omi and Jack interact? Elle is one of my favorite characters, and of course, Gizmo too because Gremlins is like my childhood. It was interesting seeing Sam's backstory as well as how he became the protector of Gizmo. Oh, and another thing that reminds me of Xiaolin Showdown and the villain eating Gremlins for immortality reminds me of Lao Mang Lone Soup, just with Gremlins. I love Gremlins: Secret of the Mogwai so far! I don't know if I'm the only one who thinks this or not, but I love when I find things I like.

Now Jason would like it known that there was no mpreg situation going on. He isn’t even sure where people got that idea in the first place. Sure, he had taken a few Cores from the goons-in-white who had dared to set up in his turf. 

And sure maybe the excess energy from the pit (no wonder he’d been so irritable) was what said baby halfas (Okay, so they’re half human? Alright) had used to reform. And maybe the oldest is visibly less than a year old. 

But there Was No Mpreg Situation! He is this close to shooting someone! It was annoying (and slightly amusing) when it was just his goons, but now the Bats have seemingly got it in their heads! Dear Gotham it’s a good thing he’s not planning on like, ever revealing who he is because he would never be able to live this rumor down.

Although, I don't think the dating thing would mater for her to recommend marriage. I also noticed that the farmer is not often shown actually EATING in front of people in cutscenes, just staring in front of it ... wonder why? 🤔

They canonically chug everything that's liquid in one go so do they just swallow food?

A lot of people think you eat the whole plate but I think it be funny if Mask eats the food and shatters the plate somewhere on the ground, boom! No dishes and no glass in your stomach! :D

Femm would swallow the food but would put the plates in her backpack to wash later.... like a "normal" person.

One of the things I love about Secrets of the Mogwai is the clear sibling energy between Elle and Sam. They are always getting in each other nerves and fighting even though they clearly care about each other.

Oh yeah absolutely! I also liked how in the beginning they didn't get along super well because they were opposites in so many ways. But I think it was good for Sam, Elle really helped push him to become a much stronger and braver kid by the end of season 1. It was nice to see their relationship grow over the course of their journey and have Elle end up as Sam's sister in the end.

As much as I post about the gremlins on this blog I really should make a post dedicated to some of the human and non gremlin characters because I like them a lot too! I just have a soft spot for monsters lol.
