The confirmation that Lucanis is demisexual (and a virgin) has opened my eyes further. When Lucanis flirts and leans in for the almost-kiss, he's not only panicking because of his concerns for growing close to someone while being possessed and working to stop the apocalypse... BUT HE IS ALSO panicking because if he's starting to feel that physical attraction, that's a major confirmation of his feelings. AND when we add that to his inexperience...
Majorly scary "oh fuck" moment. Too much is going on and he's reached a point where he can't really fool himself. I'd go stare blankly at the Fade-sky too.

Holy Ghosts plotline where the two go back to Harper’s Hill and Noel has to confront the life and people he left behind and come to terms with the fact that the only person Charlie Dowd is dead to is himself????
In other words- PotatoLord Lily designed just dropped
also some ramblings + some doodles about this plotline under cut
OK SO - for the sake of the holy ghosts lore, Anna lived outside of Harper’s Hill for longer than in her canon lore, and she kept in touch with the group after leaving for Arkham. Lily, Noel, and Charlie were all childhood best friends, with Anna joining their group in their early teens. As fresh new adults Noel and Charlie became law enforcement, Lily became a nurse, and Anna moved out of town. Charlie and Noel were drafted, only Charlie came back, and he didn’t stay for long. After establishing himself in Arkham with Roland, he wrote Lily often, and visited Anna when he could.
I still gotta get my head straight around the like. canon happenings after that. but just know I’m cooking ok-
for the holy ghosts plot, I’m thinking that after Charlie’s dad passed when he was still in the dreamlands, all of Charlie’s old belongings (that were moved out of the office in Arkham) were given to Lily. Oscar suggested they needed more information about these supernatural creatures, and suggested they look for Charlie and Roland’s old notes and the like. Charlie catches wind of their whereabouts, and the two plan to get his stuff and leave without drawing any attention.
From there I’m not entirely sure how I want things to unfold, but just know Lily definitely finds out he’s alive and hadn’t bothered to tell her. Between Charlie having to explain where he’s been the past decade, why he never reached out even when he did make it back, and Anna unfairly blaming him for Sarah dying- our man is not having a good time. and Oscar’s over there like man you used to live here???
anyway ty for hearing me out here’s a Noel Finley and the gang as youngsters :3

ANYWAYS Idiyuu is Hades and Persephone conspiracy:
Persephone is not from the Underworld. She is called back to the Mortal Realm eventually because she has to return. Yuu is literally from another world. They are not suited to Twisted Wonderland, and are nothing like Idia has ever seen. They have to go back eventually.
Hades is probably one of the few TWST boys to have a “canon” spouse (at least in Greek mythology, which Hercules’ Hades is obviously based on). On top of that, Hades and Persephone is the love story between death and life, isolation and abundance, ending and rebirth. Idia is a gloomy, pessimistic boy who has been condemned to be the keeper of the Underworld. Yuu is a kind, gentle prefect who has been there to help and has helped everyone they know, again and again.
Night Raven College has been in a ‘winter’ for all of its history. Everyone is hostile to everyone, no one wants to cooperate or work together, and every single person there has some ulterior motive. In comes Yuu, who is a breath of fresh air. A new perspective. A new season. They bring ‘spring,’ showing people that they can bloom. They can harbor feelings that aren’t cruel. They can do things that aren’t harsh. And slowly, they start to thaw. Flowers of friendship and something gentler bloom. Yuu is there to help pull the boys from their darkest moments to see the light again. Idia is no exception.
I think that the way Book 6 was set up makes Idia and Yuu seem a lot more meaningful honestly, though I'm probably reading way too into things lol. Yuu originally goes to the Island of Woe to save Grim. They don’t particularly care much about what’s going on with Idia—they just want to get Grim back. But then later, once they realize what’s going on, they do. There isn’t much, if any, personal connection to Idia’s overblot like there was with all the others. Yuu doesn’t have to do anything to help. And yet, they still do. Even after Idia basically kidnapped Grim, they still help him. They still try to end his winter.
Persephone, in many forms of the myth, didn't originally go to the Underworld willingly. But eventually, she came to love Hades, and they were happy together. Idia and Yuu have no reason to care about the other at first. But they eventually do, after everything that happens and everything that brings them together.
Hades and Persephone are in a constant push and pull. Persephone has to leave because if she stays, winter will never end. She does not want to leave, because she loves Hades. Yuu has to leave Twisted Wonderland, because they have a home beyond it that they need to return to. And yet, they don't want to leave because they love Idia. Idia doesn't want them to go, because it finally feels like spring again. But the seasons have to continue in their cycle, so what can they do?
Also, I think it’s really funny and really beautiful how Idia and Yuu’s first meeting was probably the Ghost Marriage event. This guy who thinks he has 0 rizz ends up having to be saved by some strange new isekai'd student and their gang of potential suitors before he gets his first kiss and promptly dies afterwards. Idia, the boy surrounded by death, is saved by the prefect who seems to be giving everyone a new chance at life. Imagine how poetic it’d be if Yuu and Idia end up getting married in the end, except now neither of them are going to die and they have the rest of their new lives together. There will be winter, but there will also be spring. The cycle of seasons will continue, but flowers will always bloom. They will always return to each other.
#sorry if this is totally incoherent#the last paragraph does not flow with the rest at ALL but i wanted to get that thought out there too#idia shroud has taken over my brain like a random event and he does not seem to be leaving#ohhh this man deserves the world and i hope he gets it#there is so little idiyuu content out there it makes me sad#or maybe i'm just not looking in the right places and if that's the case someone please send me things#i will love you forever#twisted wonderland#twst#disney twst#twisted wonderland x reader#twisted wonderland x yuu#twisted wonderland x mc#yuu#twst yuu#idia shroud#idia shroud x reader#idia shroud x yuu#idia shroud x mc#cloudedrambles#cloudedgalaxies

i am fucking Thinking about how death is handled in destiny 2 once again.
in regards to guardians it’s almost treated as like a joke or something deeply unserious? possibly even alien in a way due to how we kill and destroy and wreck havoc against our alien foes, but we ourselves never die. it’s really interesting to me cause there really isn’t a lot that can permanently kill a guardian so it makes sense we’d have this perception. like off the top of my head you have weapons of sorrow, hive rituals where the light is drained from a guardian, and paracausal beings which ofc includes other guardians. but that isn’t a lot, most deaths are not permanent and so this perception of death among guardians seems like death really isnt that big of a deal.
we jump off the tower and then get resurrected and have a little laugh about it. guardians constantly kill each other for fun in crucible. we are always doing incredibly stupid shit but we are rewarded because our enemies do not share in our immortality. it’s fascinating bc this not only makes us become riskier as time goes on due to being rewarded (enemies defeated) for our lack of self preservation, but this also makes guardians as a whole uniquely unsuited to handle grief and loss. if you spend your whole unlife winning and thinking that if a friend dies they’ll just come right back, it’s such a shock if (or rather when) they actually do die permanently. and then that guardian has to spend the rest of their immortal, undying life remembering. they have to live with that while they watch the newer guardians flood into the tower with the same naive disposition as they once had.
i’m sure guardians know theoretically they could die permanently at any point, especially because of those like dredgen yor, but i feel like for most it’s one of those things that most would say “well that would never happen to me” until it does happen. guardians seem to just have this inability to let go and it makes me want to bite drywall because i think abt it too long and start going feral. like!! the past may be the past but it sure doesn’t feel like it when you’re immortal and you remember that shit clear as day!!! aghhhh pacing around my room in circles and eating ROCKS
#chat i’m back in the fucking building (being obsessed with how games deal with death)#so sorry if this is incoherent or rambley it’s like 2am and i got hit with the most intense case of brain worms#i’m simply feeling extra silly tonight ig#also sorry if the breaks in text are weird. tumblr formatting wants me dead but also i didn’t want just a wall of text#destiny 2#destiny the game#whispers from the garden

Law is a lovable character. But I think it blinds people to his flaws.
If Kidd's defeat is considered karma for his bad decisions and bad leadership, the same applies to Law. In fact, in some ways, Law did worse than Kidd. Heart pirates were the least prepared for the race to claim One Piece.
Without Law, Heart pirates had no name and no face. It wasn't because they worked as a team, I think there was an intention to keep them under a veil of protection. Law's appearance contrasted the rest of his crew mates. He pulled the world's attention towards solely himself, perhaps so his friends could mix within the crowd as civilians when he's gone..
Similar to Luffy, Law wasn't particularly looking for strong people. Now take Usopp as an example. He was a regular village boy with great sharpshooting skills. Roughly, he had the same starting point as Penguin and Shachi, but now he's leagues above them bounty and achievement-wise. Straw hats' journey had a clear aim to be the very best, each of them faced the worst adversaries and grew as the crews of the future Pirate king. Penguin and Sachi, on the other hand, spent over a decade with a Captain who they believed was aiming for a great treasure, when in reality, the Captain was stuck in his own world. He was fighting a lone battle with his friends completely left in the dark.
The lack of transparent communication weakened the crew's foundation. They were sheltered by an overprotective captain, it stunted their growth. In fact, it was simply dishonest of Law to lie about his ambition.
Law's detailed background wasn't decided back then, I think we can overlook this one. When Oda drew the panel above, I'm pretty sure Law in his mind was a much more grey character.
Kidd pirates knew what Kidd wanted. They joined their Captain's reckless adventures willingly and gleefully, Kidd never let them feel like a burden. Zoro and Killer could fight beside their captains on the rooftop, but Bepo - a polar bear mink with a great potential - wasn't ready to be there.
Law realized his goal to claim One Piece only a few days prior to leaving wano, and instead of taking time to grow as a team, he marched ahead to join the flow. I don't think he had many options, but it doesn't hurt to acknowledge his shortcomings.
At the end of day, Blackbeard can't be blamed for playing the game like a pirate. The fault was Law's. His crew was trained to tame the depth of the northern sea, not to find their place in a titan's battle royale.
#im sorry if the ramble is incoherent - I think I'm on a writer's block;;#had to ramble a bit bc I'm seeing a lot of comments comparing kidd and law#I think it's an unpopular opinion so feel free to share your thoughts#one piece meta#one piece#trafalgar law#eustass captain kidd#eustass kid#one piece Bepo#heart pirates#kid pirates#straw hat pirates#monkey d. luffy#usopp#roronoa zoro#one piece killer#mine#op meta

i swear sometimes i think people forget that Jon's s1 skeptic act was just that—an act. it was an act!!! he believes the statements!! he's believed them since episode one! do we so soon forget that he denied the statements were real because he knew the Eye something wanted him to be scared, and he knew that was bad, so he decided to act like the statements just didn't scare him? remember, he was working with extremely limited information ("when i record the tape statements, i feel watched, like something knows i'm afraid, and i don't want it to know that"), and came up with a genuinely solid solution with what he had! not his fault that the thing watching him was a literal unknowable eldritch entity that feeds on fear, and he was just some underqualified archivist.
#sorry. saw a post and got a little angry about it#like bro! he literally tells martin in a fan-favorite conversation that it! was! an! act!#we KNOW he's believed in the supernatural since age eight!#i'm so tired of the ''lol haha jon didn't believe the OBVIOUSLY real statements but they still spooked him'' posts#i will not take this blorbo slander#leave my guy alone he tried his best. and was scared out of his mind while doing it#the magnus archives#jonathan sims#friday chats#it's like 1:30 am if this is moderately incoherent don't come at me

Part of the reason I find Wyll to be such a compelling character is that he is such a good person, but in what I think is a kinda unique way.
I've seen a few criticisms of how quickly Wyll seems to switch sides in his initial confrontation with Karlach; how fast he goes from convinced he must kill her to letting her live. For me though, this makes perfect sense.
The decision Wyll makes in that confrontation not actually whether or not to kill her; he has to decide whether or not Karlach is innocent, but once he's confirmed that, it's not a question.
He commits so quickly to Karlach because he doesn't have to choose whether or not to kill her in that moment; he already decided seven years ago.
Because at seventeen years old, he decided he would sacrifice anything for the safety of others.
At seventeen years old he decided that his own life, comfort and happiness was never worth the cost of someone else's.
And so at twenty-four, he learns the devil he's been chasing is a person, and a victim, and an innocent, and the decision is already made up.
Because Wyll Ravenguard at twenty-four is who he was at seventeen, and twenty, and ten.
And to me that's one of the coolest things about him.
There's a separate post I'd like to make about how Wyll never loses his childhood wonder of the world- and I think there's a very similar principle here. Wyll grew up hearing stories of knights who slay monsters and heros in shining armor, and he took those stories and loved them and held them close to his chest.
And then he's seventeen and a devil asked him if he wants to be a hero, and he's not an idiot; he understands the price of saviourhood so he says yes.
And so when he meets Karlach, it's never really a question of if he'll kill her. It's just a matter of him finding the courage.
Because he says "you don't know what you're asking of me" and he's absolutely right, we don't. But Wyll understands the cost; he's understood it for seven years. I'll bet anything that when Wyll Ravenguard made his pact with a devil to save tens of thousands of souls, he promised himself and his city and his father who wouldn't listen that he'd only ever use his pact to help and be good, and when it comes down to it, he sticks to his word.
Because above all, Wyll Ravenguard is a man who knows who his is and what he beliefs, and who sticks to his principles no matter what, and for me that's incredibly compelling.
#it's thinking about Wyll Ravenguard hours again#Sorry if this is a bit incoherent it felt rambling but like#Do you get it? Do you understand?#Wyll fucking commits#He knows who he is and what he believes and what hand he's been dealt and he sticks with it#It's about the commitment#There's another post I want to make about how fricking good Wyll's judgment is#The way he decides between man and monster is just so beautiful#But another day#The point is Wyll Ravenguard is a man who has thought deeply about who he is and what he believes and strives every day to fulfill it#I love you Wyll the haters could never separate me#wyll ravengard#wyll bg3#bg3 character analysis#the blade of Frontiers#Baldur's Gate 3#bg3 Wyll

WHAT IS UP WITH THE HOGWARTS LEGACY FANDOM?????????????
I am so fucking fed up with this fandom & honestly it makes me lose any desire to post anything here anymore.
So many people here look at EVERYTHING as a damn competition and it’s NOT. It should be a place for people to brainrot together, talk about theories, and enjoy seeing what other people draw and write etc. Have I sometimes felt insecure bc I don’t get as many notes as other people?! Yes of course…but I always focus on the connections and the lovely people I’ve met and like talking to bc that’s why I post in the first place. I didn’t spend 4 months posting my fic to 10 kudos and 1 comment with basically no feedback bc I care about popularity😆😆
I’ve never been part of a fandom before this one but honestly everything feels so immature here, especially lately. Is it NORMAL to send hate to people who interpret the characters differently than you?! Or send hate to people who ship something you don’t like???? Is it NORMAL to start a confessions blog that’s for people to vague post about others & give everyone reading it anxiety??? (And NO, it’s not “leveling the playing field” wtf). Is it NORMAL to be so close minded, that you’re always trying to start shit with other people?!!??
It is SO FUCKING EXHAUSTING & honestly I try my hardest to NOT feed into any negativity and I’ve never posted the hate I’ve gotten because quite frankly, it’s ridiculous.
I genuinely love seeing what all of you post and always try to comment when I have the mental energy, because I love having a sense of community and you’re all very talented.
#also if anyone is in contact with asallowgrave please tell him#I have a gigantic monster comment I was about to post when I found out he deleted everything😭😭😭😭😭😭#genuinely the best writer I came across in FOREVER & it makes me so sad#anyways most of you are absolutely lovely & I love that I’ve met you and that we talk#but some of you need a huge check on your attitude#like wtf is up with all of this#hogwarts legacy#hogwarts legacy fandom#sorry this is incoherent probably but like#I woke up and I saw so much shit in my 10 min scrolling this morning#and this isn’t about anyone in particular bc I don’t know who’s sending and spreading all of this hate#this is supposed to be a fun space for a hobby damn

Literally no thoughts just Gojo after your wedding carrying you over the threshold of your hotel room. You’re not leaving for your honeymoon until the morning but he nearly trips on the doorframe in his haste.
“You really don’t need to carry me—”
“But it’s tradition, we need to consummate the marriage!” he insists. Within seconds his lips are against yours and he’s fumbling with the light switch, and you finally swat his hand away and just beg him to take you to the bed.
He works the zipper of your dress down, part of him sad that he’s not going to see you in this gorgeous gown again, but then it reveals your white lace lingerie and the groan he lets out is broken and guttural and desperate.
This is far from the first time he’s seen you like this, but there’s something about this moment here and now that makes it so much more intense, so much more intimate and he just never wants to let you go.
“Satoru,” you whisper, and his breath hitches.
He leans down to capture your lips in a kiss. “Shh, I know. Just lemme take care of you, like I promised.”
And when he sees the gold band on his fourth finger pressing into the skin of your hips as he sheaths himself inside of you, he nearly loses himself, sending up a prayer to whatever gods are listening that he can keep his promise to keep you safe and happy forever.

Honestly, there's something about the sheer horror on Spock's face when he thinks he's killed Kirk in amok time that always hits me like a fucking truck.
Now, I know this discussion probably isn't anything new to the spirk community, but jesus christ. Every time I watch that scene, I go from "Oh my god this is so gay. How the hell did the writers and production team not look at shatner and nimoy rolling around in the sand together and go 'yeah seems totally heterosexual' " to "Oh my god. This is so fucking sad."
The pure horror and shock on Spock's face when he snaps out of the fever and realises what he's done (or what he thinks he's done) is so....AAAA
I can't even put into words how it makes me feel, it just makes me so not normal about the show and those two as a whole all over again.
He thought he'd KILLED HIM. BY HIS OWN HAND. DURING A PROCESS HE SEEMED TO BE VERY ASHAMED TO TALK ABOUT AND HE SMILED WHEN HE SAW KIRK ALIVE AND AJAJSJ-

can't get over how fucked up and weird nahyuta is... like i don't mean in the surface-level haha "what's crack-a-lackin homie" way, i mean this kid who grew up on the run as essentially a wanted criminal, who got separated from his brother in the middle of his childhood, throwing himself into monk training and religion to find some semblance of peace and meaning to his suffering, only to end up tortured and held hostage by his own aunt and having years worth of blood on his hands from all the people he sent to their deaths... helpless and drowning with his sole hope being that dhurke would save him, then finding out that dhurke was already dead and he'd lost his chance to ever reconcile... and not wanting to lose apollo on top of it too, but not able to bring himself to sacrifice rayfa for it!! watching his mother get shot in front of his eyes!! his family members all being used against each other as chess pieces to control him!!! and there's nothing he can do!!!!
and like even just as a person the way he's so down to just infodump about whatever he's been researching and how his interest in science alongside his deep spirituality complements his partnership with ema, who he is way nicer to than literally any other prosecutor ever treats their detective, he's so weird and curious and genuinely sweet under the cruel façade... he is so much. can't get over how he's a prosecutor AND a monk and even a prince. he's literally the actual prince regent of a country. he's THE androgynous icon. and he's hot!!!
#sorry this is meandering and incoherent. yuty lives in my brain#can't stop thinking about this sad monk#ace attorney#aa6 spoilers#nahyuta sahdmadhi#random stuff#this is an appreciation post btw. in this house we love and appreciate yuty. no slander allowed#makes me sad when people call him boring or flat or badly written or whatever excuse#you don't have to like him or anything but he's pretty clearly as deep and complex as the other prosecutors#but the khura'in stuff is ~weird~ and ~foreign~ so suddenly people can't read#and they miss all this 😔 you guys are missing out!! open your heart to nahyuta he's worth it 💕

Also yelling bc in treasure island it says that flint drank himself to death in Savannah except the entire ending of black sails emphasizes stories and how you can never know what is true or what is untrue even if you were there to see it and so we as viewers only know what we are told--we never see silver kill flint, we never know if he retired, we dont know where he went, we learn about flint reuniting with thomas through a story silver tells, we learn that he drank himself to death because the words on a page tell us so and in the end you cant even find comfort in the ending treasure island gives flint because there is perhaps one man that knows the truth of it all except the truth has been warped and marred by time until it is completely unrecognizable even to himself and we're left with the ghosts of stories that are littered with truths but filled to the brim with lies and uncertainty and so maybe flint still haunts skeleton island or maybe flint haunts the sea or maybe flint haunts Savannah or maybe flint haunts silver or maybe the reality of it is that flint haunts everything because no matter which story you chose to believe and take as the truth they're all stories and in each and every one of them flint is a man that met his end by the hand of john silver
#IM ACTUALLY INCOHERENT RIGHT NOW SO SORRY#IM AWARE WERE ALL ON THIS PAGE ALREADY HOWEVER I WATCHED THE FINALE LAST NIGHT AND IM NOT DOING WELL#black sails
