But my question might be silly and borning but I am curious when did you realize you started to ship Naruto and Sasuke? Do you happen to remember the moment or reason?

And not gonna lie, i have never come across such a question before. I had to think for a few minutes before answering this. So yep I will try to explain in a quick summary, if i can x)

Well actually, when I first started watching the naruto anime, I didn't even like or care about Naruto …i was just here to learn the story of Sasuke and Itachi (also i read the manga a lot later). But everything changed after I started watching. And I was able to see the bond between these two more clearly, especially thanks to Sakura. So one of the reasons might be Sakura. I can hear you say "what" now x) but yes！In the first part, Sakura was being incredibly rude to Naruto, and it bothered me immensely that she fell in love with Sasuke while not even understand Sasuke's pain. So the relationship between Naruto and Sasuke caught my attention more since Sasuke is the first character who understands Naruto's loneliness and feelings. But I think i didn't pay much attention to this feeling until Sasuke died in their battle with Haku. I mean, how many people can give up their dreams/future and die without hesitation just for their friend? So, from that moment I realized that it was more than just a friend. And after the feelings Sasuke gave me in the last part of their first battle (I mean that last look when it was raining) i started shipping them officially i guess. So the main reason is Sasuke. Sasuke was my favorite character from the very beginning and still is. And I started shipping them so i could see more of the happiness i saw in his eyes when he was with Naruto. That's why I keep telling him "you deserve to be happy" in my pieces. And if I remember correctly i watched the anime in 2014, but started drawing them in 2016. So the main reason for this too is thanks to some of the artists that I chose as my teacher！I mean, if they didn't exist I probably wouldn't even be here right now, so thank you ^^！

You're right this is a reflection of colonialism, but then again if you use "sh" from an english point of view, is it going to work for every country or any other language? This is interesting because unless you have a standard way to translate from arabic you have to make that choice basically...

(Anon apologies this turned out long). The thing is even the idea of romanisation is colonialist itself. Even the fact we commonly write darija in latin alphabet. So automatically moroccans use "ch" because they are familiar with french and they pronounce it in the same way french do, which is merely the reason why we write Inchallah and not Inshallah for instance. That's simply a cultural thing.

I would have to say if you have to transliterate names into actual official documents it's vital that you have a standard transliteration system. in the case of hakim's his parents have migrated when morocco wasn't a french colony anymore obviously, but the transliteration itself happened through census under french governance. so dutch authorities issued their papers just re-copying it. That's the reason why his name is written ziyech, cause as I said from a french perspective you pronunce ch as in cheval etc.

Now apologies for being a little linguistics nerd but the thing is the french pronunciation of "ch" is very specific to french phonetic system. Like "cheval" comes from the medieval latin "caballum" with "ca"pronounced as in a ka sound right? in other languages coming from latin you still have the K sound: italian "cavallo", spanish "caballo", portuguese "cavalo", romanian "cal" ... I say this because you can see K > CH only happened in french, and it's called palatalisation in linguistics. So you take a very specific diagraph (ch) that will only make sense in one language and transliterate a name with it: that's colonialism you know? Because if there was an actual consideration, an attention to phonetics, his name would have been ziyesh on official documents. I'm not talking about the way moroccans commonly write, so we type inchallah and chokran, that's normal for a country who had to speak french, but official documents have to be a different thing and it's important your name - your own identity - works in at least the most spoken western languages. You're right when you say "sh" is also another western point of view because you have the sound in many languages but not every language is going to write that sound with a "sh" diagraph (as in actual words written with "sh" like in english, or I can think of albanian for instance). But the diagraph "sh" for ش still makes sense even if you don't have it in your language, "ch" pronounced /sh/ no unless you speak french, and that's what I mean when I say this is a reflection of french colonialism.

i'd love to own a house, too. and i'm glad you said about not feeling silly - childlike wonder is a must in this life. i'd been thinking just yesterday about fitting a toy train track around the edge of a room, with a little train to loop round in circles. there was a store i used to visit as a child which had one, this little toy steam train that would run around the edge of the store and it always mesmerized me. you sorta had the real life version of that, i think it's pretty cool. i hope you get a house of your own too, where you can put your own big adult glow in the dark stars wherever you want

I really like your theory about Spamton basically haunting a mannequin after death. Have you ever touched upon the reaction from Jevil (or anyone, really) upon seeing the new Spamton? Especially considering Spamton isn't even aware he 'died'.

^ how i think jevil's first sight of Spamton would go. i love this ask. this is referring to some headcanons I made a while back, I'll link it here for the one post and the general ghost spamton theory is linked in that one as well. Going to elaborate on it more under the cut for those interested + more art.

In general I think that people from Spamton's past wouldn't really care if they notice at all, since he wasn't in the business of making close friends with anyone. With the Addisons, in my interpretation he had a "weird co-worker" relationship with them, and while Addisons in general treated each other like potential business competitors that they had to make-nice with, Spamton is especially easy to single out for being visibly and temperamentally different. His altered, current state is something they'd feel at least uncomfortable by, but many wouldn't have been too close with him to begin with for them to talk about it with him directly. Would get whispered about between each other for sure, like we saw with them talking about Spamton after the NEO fight. It moves him from the "disgraced guy I used to know" category to the "actually unpleasant to look at or think about" territory. This goes for Swatch, Queen, and Seam (less so), who seem to buy heavily into the Lightner and Darkner dynamic, with Spamton corrupting the Lightner's dream being a strong taboo against what it means to be a Darkner.

As for what Jevil thinks, Spamton during the NEO fight is both a beautiful and horrifying display. Jevil at this point hasn't seen him in years since his imprisonment, and in their time apart Jevil has grown to find novelty in the cage that everyone else besides him is in since he's created huge emotional distance between him and the reality he lives in. Seeing the fact that Spamton had corrupted an abandoned dream of a Lightner and was causing so much chaos to the established order of the world would be exhilarating, but at the same time seeing that Spamton had accomplished this and still had his strings visible (and changed to a marionette puppet with no symbolic agency), it'd be a painful confirmation of his worldview that even Spamton, who deep down he still cares for, could never have been free.

Jevil would think at first he'd just gone through some nebulous situation to change what he looks like, since ofc he himself has toy-like traits (arguable if that happened with Gasterfication or not), Seam is a plushie cat, and other Card Castle Darkners are based on toys, but feeling the lack of life combined with the symbolic body of Spamton would mean to him something bigger had went wrong. He wouldn't dare to bring it up in an empathetic way, stuck in his mindset that it doesn't matter, but it'd still hit a part of him he doesn't like to think still exists. It's something he gets over quickly, almost performatively going back to fucking with him and taking advantage of his fear for entertainment, but it didn't sit well at first.

To me, the fact Spamton "died" isn't really a huge deal, kind of like with the ghosts in Undertale where no one really cares they're just ghosts. They're just doing their thing. To me it'd be fine if neither of them find out what happened for certain, but it's something that adds Flavor to his character.

This is still a fairly recent development so the current needed-SOME-foundation lore is:

talon and al were as together as talon would allow at the time (so not really) but he liked Al most even amidst his anxieties about men. He leaves for a long while with no contact once he realizes he's getting toooooo comfortable with al, comes back for another round of comfort and gets attached again to both the guy he knew AND the guy's boyfriend

I dont think Talon actually likes being referred to as boyfriend by either of them, nor would he refer to them as his boyfriends, but the attachment and "role" is still there and that's what they loosely consider him (i have to explore this further, theres still a lot i dont know abt him) while also knowing he could just decide to leave again if he so wishes

This is mildly off topic but I watched the ContraPoints Twilight video and yes it is 3 hours long but oh my god I couldn’t stop thinking about your fics. The video isn’t entirely about twilight, but rather uses it as a frame for talking about female fantasies in erotica.

And it's not even like I could block them. The moment I blocked 5 accounts there would be, no exaggeration, hundreds of others popping out of nowhere. It got to a point where it was bad for my mental health. If it weren't for HB and HH posting on Twitter, I would have no problem deactivating my account. It's so bad.

Don't even get me started on TikTok, even some of the fans there can be a bit much 😮‍💨

While Tumblr has hateful shit, it's not nearly as bogged down as Twitter is. Plus, I find so much more love here than I ever have on Twitter. (Not to say no one was nice to me. It just was a lot of hate that it was hard to separate the good from the bad.)

I'm not saying that they can't dislike Vivzie or anyone. It's just mind-boggling how antis/crits will literally HARASS ppl for watching a cartoon, even if that person also has misgivings for Viv.
