the old memories don't matter, however, what matters is this moment where lydia needs her now.

sitting bedside with lydia, robin squeezes her hand softly as she laments her predicament. although both stark girls are fairly decent problem solvers, even in times of pressure . . . it's safe to say they had never really prepared for a situation such as this. leave it to the hair of the enforcer training academy to throw them both for a loop.

she nods as lydia lays out the potential situation brewing downstairs, wanting to reassure her of otherwise but knowing that would be a lie. ❝ that is . . . all too true, i'm sorry. ❞ she agrees, shifting closer as lydia drops back onto her pillow. ❝ call in sick for two years? ❞ robin can't help but tease, just a little teeny tiny bit. ❝ that sounds like a good plan to me. ❞

but enough of that. ❝ all right. i'm coming in. ❞ she announces gently before dipping under the covers to join lydia at last, pulling the blanket over both their heads for full privacy. faces pressed into plush pillows, light speckling through the threads like stars; they can be in their own universe for these few minutes.

❝ we haven't done this since we broke dad's anti-gravity prototype. ❞ and it's funny, but -- robin never thought she would feel so grateful to chrissy roberts.
