Jimmy: My character, is mentally struggling, manipulative, and a leech. So lots of therapy needed for the thought process with him. Its honestly annoying seeing people idolize him, sure the empathy makes sense because he represents a struggling class but, if I saw him. I’m calling the cops, him hurting the medic and then trying to kill her, don’t even get me started on the statue. What was the reason? He represents how some of these kinds of people aren’t just already gross and disgusting, they could be people who are your close friends.

Anya: Jeez, you’re so self aware about him. More than, some of the fans….

Jimmy: Look hate him and like him but don’t justify his actions.

Daisuke: Damn son! My character was sorta naive but he’s smart too! He just doesn’t see it because he’s so busy following orders. Sorta like the demographic of kids, we seek leadership and want to make our parents proud!

Anya: You also cheat at games.

Daisuke: Put cho paws up girl!

Anya: My character, she’s an amazing representation of what victims go through, the loneliness, the devastation, I simply hope everyone who sees her doesn’t water her down but understand that she is brave, jubilant, mindful and super smart. Maybe in another universe everyone is happy. I hope so, I wouldn’t want Anya to remain in a world where she’s stuck in devastation.

Curly: *sniffle* Its so beautiful.

Swansea: Eh, my character and Curly’s are sorta parallels. He knew Jimmy but not fully and didn’t do much to stop em, meanwhile Swansea did and yet he still couldn’t/didn’t do much. Thats why their eyes are gone, symbolism is at play. Just like when Swansea had to mercy kill Daisuke, tough decisions for folks like that. Especially when neither of them took Anya’s job seriously. Its a lot of circumstances and damned if ya do or damned if ya don’t for Curly and Swansea.

Curly: Oh yea I forgot! Man, they are just naive.

Swansea: Yep

Jimmy: Agreed.

Curly: The word enabling gets thrown at him too much, in the wrong conjunction. Curly enables everyone and everyone enables each other, he fails at being Captain when he first let Jimmy on the ship, sure everything was nice but at some point the mental distress, mental deterioration, it got to them. They didn’t take the psych evaluation seriously, Pony Express didn’t take them seriously. In the end Curly as a Captain failed, he failed as a friend for Anya specifically. Sure he’d be a safe person but he doesn’t take Anya’s words into consideration. It’s a lot to take in, honestly.

Anya: In the sequel, Curly hates himself to the core. He wasn’t perfect, or a good man. But he definitely isn’t a bad person, he like everyone is flawed.

Jimmy: *patting his back* Well said pal, therapy for everyone though. Because that shit was horrifying.

Crasona: Sir you can’t just be cursing!

Jimmy: My fault.

Crasona: Now, would ya’ll like it better if Jimmy didn’t exist in this game.

y/n kept her eye on the volley ball - she and her friends were on the beach, as usual, the Australian sun setting over them, the temperature perfect in the sense of they could play without sweating but it was still warm.

"Spike!" Jake called and y/n jumped, pushing the ball with a harsh slap, the ball landing at Sally's feet who groans.

"I couldn't get my hand out in time ya cu-" Sally begins, but Jamie shoves her, the boy chuckling.

"Rotate." y/n adds, skipping from the court to umpire so her friend Melanie could have a go, they were an odd number today, with Sally, Jake, Mikey, Jamie and y/n.

y/n was watching the game when she saw her, a girl walking in shorts, her shoes in her hand watching them play, watching y/n shout out suggestions as they did.

The two met eyes, both blushing slightly as they did so. y/n chocked on her own spit, turning to bend and grab her water to take a long swig.

The girl was beautiful, she was stunning, and she was walking toward y/n. The panic that flooded through y/n's body was instant when she noticed the girl coming over.

"Hi." The girl smiled.

"Gd'evening." y/n hummed, watching as Mikey tried to spike but Sally manages to block it.

"Looks like fun." the girl says, tucking a strand of dark hair behind her ear.

"Oh, it is, but we're an uneven amount today - so I'm sat out for now." y/n explains.

"Well, if you guys can teach me, I can play?" The girl offers and y/n grins, she offers her hand to the beautiful girl.

"y/n." She introduces and the girl smiles.

"Mary." The girl smiles, shaking y/n's hand.

"Right listen up dick-heads." y/n calls, stopping the game but Jamie does roll his eyes at her. "If we can teach Mary how to play, she'll join in." y/n explains, Mary smiling sheepishly.

"Awesome." Jamie nods.

"Yeah great!" Mikey grins kindly.

"Sounds good." Sally adds.

"Let's do this!" Jake finishes and the group start.

They first dissect the game, Mary smiling as they explain what happens and the different type of hits. Then once they had done that, they taught her the positions of the court.

Mary was funny, she had a really pretty smile and y/n couldn't help but have to shut her eyes every few minutes to try and fight the thoughts about Mary's body.

Sally kept looking over at y/n, smirking with a knowing look in her eyes as she tried to focus on Mary and helping her play. Once Mary had warmed up a bit, y/n was teaching her how to serve.

"You want to keep your hands strong, pushing from the shoulder not the wrist." y/n explains.

"Okay." Mary nods. "Like this?" She then asks and y/n hums, moving behind her to guide her hands.

"Like this." y/n continues, not noticing the way her lips brushed Mary's ear, or the way the girl had stopped completely, trying not to sink into the warmth of y/n's chest.

"Okay." Mary breathed, Sally and Jake both sent each other a look, rolling their eyes as y/n stepped away, Mary looking back slightly with red cheeks.

Mary pushed the ball in the air, keeping her hand hard and pushing through it with her shoulder, the serve going over the net easily which caused the group to cheer.

"You got it." y/n grins and Mary smiles.

"Team time!" Sally yells. She then looks around. "Oh it is so girls vs boys." Sally then says and Jake laughs jokingly.

"Oh this will be so easy. You hit like a girl." He teases his girlfriend.

"And you whine like a boy." Sally teases him back making Jake pause and look at her confused.

"I'm not whining." Jake begins, but y/n lightly throws the ball at his face, it bouncing off his forehead and top of his nose and back into y/n's arms, causing Jake to whine and rub his head.

Jamie sighs at him and Jake pauses, realising he had fallen for Sally and y/n's trap, they high five without looking toward each other and Mary giggles behind them.

"Okay, let's play!" Mikey says, jumping up and down excitedly.

Over the next hour it was obvious the teams were very well matched, they were neck and neck in terms of victorious games and as they played the decider, they were once again a point in difference.

Mary was good, she was quick and seemed to have very good stamina, she was athletic and strong, y/n could see that in the way her muscles tensed when she jumped for a ball or hit one.

Ten minutes before their final game, Mary had taken her top off so she was wearing her swimsuit, and while y/n and her friends were already like that, y/n's mouth dropped.

Sally snorted as y/n looked away from Mary's toned arms and exposed back, she tried to ignore the giggles coming from Sally as y/n internally panicked.

Now, they were on the last game and y/n just knocked the ball over the net, Jamie running forward to hit it up and trying to get it over, y/n tipped it over again, Jake running forward to get it.

Then as it came back over, Mary spiked it into the back of the court, the ball bouncing as Mikey squealed in the hope it would help him get it.

y/n and Sally cheer, y/n moving over to pull Mary into a hug, ignoring the way Mary's hands feel on the bottom of her exposed back. Sally joins in on the hug, the three girls cheering.

"Yeah, yeah, we get it you won." Jake says and y/n laughs flipping him off as she grabs her bag.

"Whose up for drinks?" She asks and everyone's hands go up other than Mary. "You coming?" y/n asks, offering her hand.

"That okay?" Mary asks and the loud sound of 'yes; and 'of course' comes from the group.

"Come on, first round on me." y/n adds with a smile and Mary grins.

"Okay." She chuckles and takes y/n's hand, blushing as y/n squeezes it slightly, but Mary keeps their fingers looped as they walk away.

The evening had now faded into very early morning, Mary and y/n were the only ones left, walking along the beach, talking about everything.

Mary explained to the group what she did and they were all mightily impressed. Sally and Jake went on to explain they were in university with y/n which was how they met and that Mikey ran a parkour park with his family.

"I just like being with kids, and I love beach sports." y/n shrugs, Mary smiling softly as y/n got bashful about what she wanted to do.

y/n had always loved the beach, she assumed it was because she was Australian through and through, but really she just loved the beach.

So, y/n had been at university for business studies and sports science, hoping to run a beach sports club for children once she got out, teaching surfing, volleyball, body boarding, the works.

"I think it sounds like a great idea." Mary promises. "You could even teach soccer." She adds, nudging y/n's shoulder and making her laugh.

"I don't know about that, I'm no Matilda." She teases Mary who rolls her eyes. "I hope you have enjoyed today, I'm sure being on Christmas break means you're meant to relax, so I hope we helped." y/n tells Mary who smiles.

Mary had come home during the break in the WSL, wanting to be with her family for Christmas and New Years, but she would soon be heading back off to the UK.

"You did. I really enjoyed today." Mary smiles.

"Good." y/n nods. Mary looks over at her, the two now back in their tops and watching the sea as the clock neared 2 am.

"You're really pretty." Mary said quietly, a soft smile on her face as she admired y/n's side profile, the girl turning to face Mary.

"Could we maybe spend some more time together?" Mary asks. "Just us, before I go?" She then asks and y/n smiles holding out her hand for Mary to take, which she does.

"I'd really like that." y/n nods and Mary grins, blushing slightly as she moves to put her head on y/n's shoulder.

"I'd really like it too." Mary says and y/n smiles out at the ocean.

"I'm really glad you decided to walk down the beach today Fowler." y/n chuckled and Mary giggled.

"So am I." Mary agreed.

The two sat there for a bit longer, sharing whispers and giggles before they got up and started to walk back to Mary's, hands linked as they moved through the quiet streets around them.

Once they got to Mary's door, the two stood talking softly for a moment, longer, eyes drinking each other in as much as they could, despite having already exchanged numbers and arranged to meet tomorrow.

You’re tweaking out. Never have you been so stressed for a simple frat party in your life, and you’ve been to almost every single one since you started college. “Calm down, or else I'll burn your scalp.” Jen warns? Threatens? You don’t know, but you try to breathe. “You look so pretty, babes!” Chaewon squeals as she applies the lip gloss to your lips, finishing your look. “Really?” You pout at her, wanting and needing her confirmation. “Of course! You’re always pretty! I’d never lie to you!” She assures you. “You lied to me this morning when you said there were no more croissants, you gave the last one to Kazuha.” You remind her. She freezes, then shakes her head. 

“That’s different. You look so beautiful, Soobin will fall in love with you.” Chaewon nods. “I still have not seen the man in person, so I’m taking this opportunity to see if he’s actually cute.” Jen comments and you look at her confused through the mirror in front of you. “I thought you said you knew him?” You ask. She rolls her eyes as she curls the last lock of hair. “I knew him as in I was thirsty in the middle of the night so I went to grab me water, and when I went to the kitchen I was greeted by a gremlin chugging orange juice.” She argues, before brushing out your curls. “There, gorgeous as ever.” You smile as you look over your done up appearance. 

It’s not that you didn’t wear makeup or refused to do your hair, you definitely had a hygiene routine every morning. But you liked the fact that you could dramatize your features with a false lash, lip liner, and contour. You’re lucky to have friends to help you, it sped up the time getting ready by tenfold. “So what are you wearing?” Jen plops onto your bed, laying against your pillows. “Wear something sexy!” Chaewon giggles. You begin to dig through your closet, quickly realizing you own more ugly and memeable shirts than you had imagined. 

Usually when there was a party, you just showed up in something presentable: a cropped top and a cute pair of jeans. It wasn’t like you were trying to impress anyone anyways, usually your skills in beer pong did that. But this time you had someone to impress, a very important and attractive person. “What about this?” You pull out a cropped top to show the girls. “You wear that all the time, no.” Jen waves you off. “Wait! I’ll be right back.” Chaewon runs out of your room to her own. She comes back quickly, holding a garment. “Do you still have that white tube top? Wear that with this!” 

She presents you a green lace ruffled mini skirt, something simple yet sexy. Before you can say anything, she throws it at you, forcing you to try it on. “Oh my gawd it’s perfect! This with a nice boot, your fake Tiffany necklace Sunoo got you and some hoops-” Chaewon suddenly gasps. “I should become a fashion major.” She suddenly declares. “Yeah no, you’re already too deep into your degree.” Jen reminds her. You quickly change into Chaewon’s suggestions, and give the girls a spin, showing your whole outfit. “You look drop dead gorgeous,” Jen grins. “You’re so hot!” Chaewon squeals.

“I’m so nervous,” You suddenly admit. Your stomach has been queasy this entire time. “What? What’s wrong?” Jen and Chaewon pull you to sit with them on your bed. “This is gonna be the first time we go out together and there’s gonna be people we know.” You explain. “Am I doing too much? Should I not go? What if he ignores me the entire time?” You begin to reveal your worries to your friends. “Oh baby don’t say that.” Jen gives you a hug. “From what you tell us, Soobin is a great guy, he would never do anything to hurt you.” You nod along, despite your thoughts. 

“Yeah and if he does, Jen and Keeho will beat him up.” Chaewon offers, making you laugh. “I don’t think I’ll need you to, I can handle myself,” You joke. “Not gonna lie, I’m kinda mad Jay didn’t record you choking Sunghoon. You literally beat up a whole ass man who’s nearly six feet tall.” Jen chuckles. “I feel bad I didn’t mean to actually hurt him, I just couldn’t let him text Soobin.” You try to explain yourself. “No I get it, you’ve got that thing- what do they call it? Women’s intuition?” Chaewon tries to remember. “A mother’s strength? I don’t know, that thing where a woman gets stronger when there’s a crisis.” 

“Well safe to assume Sunghoon and the boys will never betray you again. Me neither, I’m here for life.” Jen crosses her fingers, making you laugh. But your laughter soon falls short when there’s a knock on your door. “Oh my gawd I’m gonna hurl.” You wince. “No! You’ll get my skirt dirty.” Chaewon warns as she goes to get the door. You hear her open it, greeting Soobin warmly. “Come on, let’s go say hi to dream boat Soobin.” Jen teases, lugging you up. You force yourself to smile as she guides you down the hall. You catch sight of him immediately. Instead of his usual hoodie or large shirt, Soobin dressed in a loose black button up, tucked into a pair of black pants.

When he turns around, you’re pleasantly surprised to find he’s pushed his hair back a little, revealing his forehead. “Wow,” He gapes eyes traveling up and down your figure, and for once you’re not upset at a man doing so. “You look really pretty.” He smiles. “Thank you,” You blush, letting go of Jen to stand beside him. “I mean you always look pretty, promise. But right now, you look extra pretty. But that doesn’t mean I think you should wear this all the time-” “Thank you Soobin, I appreciate the compliment,” You chuckle, nudging his arm. “Ahem.” Your attention jumps to your two best friends who stand together arms crossed.

You notice Soobin stands straighter. “Soobin,” Jen’s voice is chilling. “Y-Yes?” He stutters. “What do you do?” She asks that question as if she were your father interrogating their daughter’s date to prom. “Huh? Oh, I’m a Language/Literature major here at Hybe, and I work at the coffee shop on campus.” He answers diligently. Jen nods, though doesn’t look impressed. “Do you know who I am?” Jennifer suddenly asks and you immediately hold back a sigh. “Okay! Time to go!” You clap your hands and begin to push Soobin towards the door. “Hey! He hasn’t answered my question!” Jen argues. 

As if Soobin couldn't make the situation worse, he turns around to speak. “Uh- you’re Yeonjun’s ex, right? You got scared when I would snack in the middle of the night-” "Soobin, let's go!” You shout, before shutting the door behind you. You finally release your sigh, escaping the madness. “They were nice.” Soobin tries to reassure you. You shoot him a smile and nod. “Yeah, they are. Ready to go?” You ask. Soobin answers by taking your hand and leading you downstairs to his car. 

“Usually Keeho picks us up,” You explain as Soobin drives down the street. He has one hand on the wheel, the other has not detached from your hand since you two sat down. “He’ll be there too? Your other friends?” He asks. “Yeah, why? You nervous?” You tease. He scoffs. “I am.” He admits shyly. “I mean I’m nervous to meet your friends too.” You try to appease him. “Yeah, but you already know all of them,” He counters. That was true. You’ve gotten drunk with Yeonjun many times, studied with Taehyun, argued with Beomgyu, and even hung out with Kai once. “I don’t really know any of your friends.” Soobin mumbles. Deciding to distract him, you change the subject. 

“When was the last time you’ve been to a party? I know you said it’s been a while,” You ask him. Instantly you notice the tension in the air thicken. Soobin’s grip on your hand tightens just slightly. “I haven’t been to one in about a year I think.” He starts to explain. “Ever since my ex and I broke up.” Oh crap. You’ve hit a mine. “Oh, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have asked.” You apologize. “No, it’s fine, it’s been a while like you said.” He shakes his head. “I just was scared I’d run into her, you know? Especially right after the breakup.” You nod understandingly. Before you can offer words of comfort, Soobin clears his throat. “Looks like we’re here.” And the two of you gaze up at the brightly lit house filled with drunk adults at the end of the street.

One thing about the Eta Theta Eta Nu Fraternity house was that it wasn’t your luxurious mansion the movies depicted. Instead it was a mediterranean style home with six bedrooms and four bathrooms, a garage and basement, a pool in the back and it was actually owned by former Frat President turned sponsor Choi Siwon. Because of the limited housing, only the council lived inside the house, and usually they didn’t even stay there. You and Soobin walk inside hand in hand, you try your best to ignore his clammy fingers, because you could understand his nerves. But secretly you were just as anxious. 

As soon as you walk in, you’re met with loud music and chatter, hoards of people socializing and drinking like there was no tomorrow. “Yo what up girl?” A familiar voice catches your attention, and from the crowd emerges Keeho. “Kee!” You release Soobin to give one of your best friends a hug. “Hey! You look sexy, girl! Damn, I actually gotta give it to Jen. Don’t tell her I said that.” He points at you, making you laugh. “Thank you! Oh, um Keeho, this is Soobin,” You tug the poor boy closer to you, introducing him. “He’s my… friend.” You decide to land on. Keeho’s demeanor immediately switches.

“Hey, nice to meet you finally.” Keeho offers Soobin a hand shake. “You as well.” Is all he’s able to squeak out. “...Well we’re going to find Sunoo, see you around.” You quickly pull Soobin with you past Keeho, hoping the awkward interaction would take care of itself. “He’s with Won and Ni-ki,” Keeho shouts as he goes down the hall. “He’s so scary,” Soobin leans down to whisper in your ear as you guide him through the bustling house. “I promise he’s not, I’m so sorry,” You plead. You eventually find Sunoo and the others at your usual hang out, outside in the backyard by the pool chairs. 

“Sunoo!” You shout, once again letting go of Soobin to hug your best friend. As you and Sunoo excitedly exchange a few words, Soobin can’t help but feel a bit neglected. He knows he shouldn’t. You’re a popular girl who has so many loving friends. But as you’re giving hugs to the two other boys, he not only feels jealous, but lonely. “This is Soobin!” You pull him back to reality, beaming up at him with that beautiful smile of yours. “Your boyfriend?” One of the boys teases you, and you immediately shoot him a look. He shuts up and quickly mumbles an apology. Taking the opportunity to be cheeky, Soobin shakes his hand and smiles. “I hope to be.” 

So far your night has been going well. Chaewon and Jen rejoined you, and Soobin finally tracks down his own friends to finally have some proper introductions. Yeonjun is already tipsy when you meet him, and he keeps mumbling something about losing a bet. Taehyun and Kai are friendly as always and Beomgyu, well he’s Beomgyu. You’re sitting next to Soobin chatting with your friends when Jake arrives. “Hey! Are you finally ready to lose, cheater?” He slurs, already drunk. You stand up, grinning at Soobin. “Stay here, I’ll be back in a bit,” You quickly press a kiss to his cheek, which has Ni-ki gagging like a child. “Okay,” He nods, watching you depart with a dreamy smile.

Despite your order, Soobin ventures back inside to get another drink- and maybe a water. He’s pouring himself a glass when he suddenly hears her voice. “Soobin?” He freezes, blood running cold. “Oh my God it is you. It’s been so long!” Haewon is smiling at him like they were on good terms. “H-Hey Haewon.” He clears his throat, and sets his drink down on the counter. She just had to approach him when the kitchen was empty. “Wow, you’re looking good. Really good.” She’s drunk, he noticed. Not terribly so, but just enough for her to see him in a good light. “Thanks.” He mumbles, before sighing and grabbing his drink to leave.

“Wait, Soobin?” She catches his sleeve, stopping him. He’d be a liar if he didn’t admit the way she looked up at him made his heart ache. But instead of aching with passion, it was with pain. Even now he could hear her nasty accusations. “I miss you.” What. “I miss you so much, I’m so sorry for cheating on you. I never meant for it to happen.” It takes a second for Soobin to process her words, but in the end he just scoffs and shrugs her off. “Haewon, you cheated on me for six months, half of our relationship. I think you did mean for it to happen.” He counters, and tries to walk away, but the girl throws herself onto him. 

“No, I didn’t! You can’t blame me! It wasn’t even my fault! He made me cheat! I promise!” She’s crying now, her makeup smearing down her face. Even though she hurt him so much more than she thought she did, the tiniest part of Soobin still felt bad for Haewon. Not because he missed her or that he still loved her, but because it was pathetic to see his ex act this way in public. “Haewon, I don’t want you-” “I miss you so much, I need you, I love you Soobin!” Suddenly she lunges at him, and Soobin regrets not trying harder in P.E. class as his reflexes are slow. Forcing herself onto him, Haewon hungrily kisses Soobin. 

Instantly he pushes her off of him. “Haewon what the fuck-” He wipes his mouth in disgust. “What the hell is wrong with you?!” He spits at her. “Soobin I-“ “No! I don’t fucking love you anymore Haewon! You cheated on me with multiple guys for six months! Don’t you get that you hurt me?! I’ve moved on, I’ve been happy without you! And now you have to go and fuck everything up and tell me you miss me, that you love me! Get it in your fucking head that I don’t care anymore, we’re done!”

It seems as if his screams have finally gotten to her, as Haewon begins to sob, she quickly storms off cursing him.

Bonus:

Haewon was Soobin's first serious relationship

She and Soobin met as classmates

Haewon is the type of person who likes to go out often, and with Soobin being an introvert he never suspected she'd cheat

Beomgyu arguably hates Haewon the most, having never got along with her from the start of their relationship

Haewon is a frequenter at the frat parties, Yeonjun originally wanted her banned but the frat informed him they can't actually ban people so he and Kai ignore her when she's there

Want to give some rambles about Epithet Erased or any of your other fandoms (summary, top ten great things, etc.) for some totally other people (not me ofc) who want to get into the fandoms their friends love?

Other people (who are totally not you) want to get to know my current fandom????!! 💖

Personally, I think it’s more fun if you dive into the episodes blind but I can give you a quick run through of what to expect for Epithet Erased.

Quick Summary:

In this world, 1 in 5 people are born with rare powers called “Epithets.” A word inscribed into their soul that allows them to use magic they associate with that word. The only limit here is your creativity.

The main character, Molly Blyndeff, is one of those gifted people. Unluckily, she accidentally finds herself in the middle of a scuffle for the “Arsene Amulet” that has the ability to steal anyone’s epithet. As multiple people race for the artefact, would Molly escape? Or would she get her epithet…erased?

*ahem* may have gotten dramatic there-

Now my thoughts:

First off, the artstyle and character design is SOO pretty and just overall SOO fun to draw! I love how much you can so much as glance at a character and have some idea of who they are instantly.

The animation in here has a unique sort of tabletop style that I personally instantly found creative and charming. And GAWD, don’t even get me started on the legendary voice-acting. Along with the music, these all make up for the lack of smooth animation that you’d typically find in other indie shows. (Pls pls pls pls don’t immediately judge it for its animation style-)

But in certain special scenarios (fight scenes) where it DOES get animated, it’s just entertaining to watch again and again. Especially the Redwood Run Arc. My favourite :)) The special effects used are utilised heavily to make for just beautiful cinematography.

The story is mostly comedic but knows when to dial it down for wholesome and touching scenes. The characters all have strong distinct personalities (which I adore) that bounce off of others in many entertaining ways. It’s very likely to find multiple dynamics you grow to get fond of.

Though, this may just be me and my personal thoughts. You might have different taste but I do highly recommend checking it out! Currently, the animated series has a playlist here on YT and its sequel is a book that I think you can find on a pdf for free somewhere.

Though, if you really grew to love it, I suggest buying the sequel’s audiobook as well for an immersive experience (and to support future books incoming!).

You catch yourself staring at Megumi from the second floor of the school building. God that man is beautiful. Just as fast as the thought entered your head, it was quickly ruined by a loud moan in your ear resonating through out the halls. You whipped your head around, your face bright red, to find your best friend Emma clutching her stomach laughing tears spilling out her eyes. "What the hell Emma!" you hissed. "That was really loud! What if some students or even, Lord forbid, teachers heard that shit!?"

"I was just narrating what's going through your head."

"Bitch! Not everything is about sex."

"But the way you're staring at him is."

"No it's not," you mumbled. "Oh yeah?," Emma challenged. "If not sex, what were you thinking about watching Mr. Fushiguro pass by."

"How beautiful he is," you shyly mumbled.

"Come again?" Emma teased.

"I said how beautiful-"

"I'm sorry Miss L/N, you're going to have to use your big girl voice."

"I said how beautiful he is!" Emma scoffed when you heard the clearing of a throat. Both your heads turned to see Megumi standing there with a stack of books and binders in his hand. Oh how you wished that the earth would swallow you whole. How mortifying. "Hello Mr. Fushiguro." you quickly bowed hoping that it would hide your face.

"Hello Miss Johnson. Miss L/N."

"Heeeyyy Megumi," Emma teased. You shot her a glare earning a stifled laughter. "Are you going to the teacher's outing this weekend?"

"I'm not sure yet."

"You should come. I heard it's going to be really exciting."

"Ugh I don't know, I'm not much of a party person, let alone a get together with coworkers type of person." You felt your face drop a little, your emotions sinking lower. So he only sees me as a coworker? You gave Emma a pained, grateful smile. You knew what she was attempting to do: she was trying to play wingman for you both but it was failing epically.

"Mr. Fushiguro, I beg to differ. I feel like this outing would be worth your time. You should give it a shot. It's not often we get to see each other outside of work."

"We'll see. I'll catch up with you later, have to run to class. Miss Johnson. Miss L/N." You both watched his slender back and broad shoulders. "Gawd he's so polite."

"Welp, I tried."

"Thanks Em. I know. Listen I gotta run too. My class starts in 15. See you Saturday?"

"See you Saturday."

The rest of the week went by in a blur; you found yourself surrounded by mountains of clothes, hangers askew, having a hard time trying to pick out an outfit. You didn't want to overdress but you also didn't want to show up in sweats or slacks. You finalized on high-waisted black jeans, a red hoodie, black and white plaid fannel, red and white Jordan 1's retro; your hair in a high bun, two parts hanging loosely to frame your face. Oh shit! It's almost 7:30PM! You ran out the house and called for a taxi.

Arriving at the pub 30 minutes later, you rushed inside and was escorted to an already rowdy, loud room. The sliding door slid open and cheers and whoops greeted your arrival. Emma rushed over to you saying, "Ohmygod bitch finally! You're here!" before leading you to sit beside her. Scanning the room, you were disappointed to not see Megumi there, even after he warned you both that he wasn't the "party type". You sighed as Emma complimented you on your outfit pouring you a shot.

The first shot was pure fire but shot after shot it was becoming easier to knock back. "Oh my god! It's Megumi!" Emma yelled. You all turned towards the door and there he was, in all his angelic glory. Everyone cheered and clapped as Megumi rushed to sit across from you.

You took in his tattered black jeans, black t-shirt, and silver wristwatch. You could smell his cologne but couldn't put your finger on what brand it was. "Megumiiiiii, I'm so glad to see you." He chuckled and asked, "Are you drunk already Miss L/N?" you crossed your arms in a shape of an x and said in Korean, "Andwae (No)." He laughed and by gawd that was the warmest laugh you have ever witnessed and you wanted to bathe in it again, bottle it up for yourself. "You know Korean Miss L/N?"

You playfully put your finger to your chin imitating a thinking emoji and replied, "Jogeumyo (A little)."

"I'm a little sad Miss L/N, I would've loved to hear you speaking Japanese." he knocked his shot back and you swear you heard his voice grow lower with that last sentiment.

The liquor kept coming and each time you would catch Megumi staring at you. You looked around the room to see that most of the patrons had either went to the restroom, caught a taxi home/to a hotel, or were laying down on the floor of the establishment. It was you, Megumi, Emma, and a few of the other teachers that were still sitting upright. You excused yourself to go to the restroom, hoping that if you look at Megumi, it'll telepathically tell him to follow you. You washed your hands with cold water staring at your red face in the mirror. Tonight I'm going to tell him! You splashed cold water on your face a few times determined to tell Megumi your feelings.

You slid the doors of the room open and panicked to see an absent Megumi. No, no, no. Did he leave?!?! "Em?"

"Yeah?"

"Where's Megumi?"

"Oh, he left."

"He left?! How long ago did he leave?"

"30 minutes ago?"

"I wasn't in the bathroom that long!" you groaned.

"Yeah you were. I was about to come and check on you but you came through the doors." Fucking hell. You grabbed your glass, poured, and continued drinking. "Whoa there buddy. I think you need to slow down."

"No, it's just-I'm so frustrated."

"Why are you frustrated?" in the midst of your drunken rant you failed to see your phone vibrating with Megumi's name popping up on your screen. With a mischievous grin on Emma's face, she slid to answer and continued. "Why are you frustrated Y/N?"

"Because I really weally weally wanted to talk to Gumi."

"Gumi? You have a nickname for him already?"

"Yeeeeah," you giggled.

"So what's stopping you?"

"Because he aweady leave...and I didn't get to shay goodbyyyyeeee." you pouted before you dropped your head on the table. Emma grabbed your phone saying, "You heard that Mr. Fushiguro? Are you coming to pick her up?"

"I'll be right there."

Waking up, you found yourself on Megumi's back. This is a nice dream. I think I can die in peace now. You began to nibble on his ear, making your way to his neck lightly blowing air, licking and sucking. "Y/N," he groaned. "Please stop. You're making this very hard for me." Eh? Your head shot up to see a blushing Megumi. One of your hands pinched your cheeks and pulled his hair emitting a gasp from him. "Megumi? How-"

"You called my phone."

"Ohmygawd I'm so sorry."

"It's ok Y/N. I'm just glad I got to you before anyone else got to you." You hummed in response and went back to laying your head on his back. "You know Megumi, whoever your partner will be is going to be one lucky person."

"Why do you say that?"

"Because because you're so kiiiiiind, and smaaaart, and really really weally good looking. You're a gentle soul but not like you get bullied around you know. You stand for justice and that's what I like about you. Yup, I said it. I really really like you and you have no idea of it." He paused noting that you had fallen asleep causing him to chuckle and shake his head.

The rays of sun pierced through your eyes, you groaning and rolling into the warmth-warmth? Your eyes shot open and Megumi continued laying there blushing with his arms wrapped around you. "Megumi?" you croaked. You noticed that he was wearing a simple white t-shirt trying to dissuade yourself from nuzzling into his chest and scent. "I'm sorry did I-"

"Emma told me to come get you."

"I'm so sorry. I hope I wasn't disturbing or annoying you."

"You've never disturbed or annoyed me Y/N." You like this: waking up on a Sunday morning with Megumi's arms wrapped around you. You sighed at the realization that he was only taking care of you from a coworker's point of view. "Well I better get going. I don't want to take up too much of your Sunday." You turned trying to scoot off the bed when Megumi enveloped you into a back hug, your back pressed firmly against his chest. "Did you mean what you said last night?" Shit. What did I say last night???!!! Before you could answer, Megumi replied, "You probably don't remember much but I came to that get together for you." You could feel yourself blushing when the events of last night finally dawned on you. You gasped turning to stare at his neck seeing the small hickey you left, his blush deepening. "I thought you only saw me as a coworker." you whispered. He caressed your face saying, "From the moment I saw you, I've always wanted to talk to you. It took me a lot of courage to try and work up something but then you said hi first and it was game over for me. I wanted to keep talking to you and was happy that you would let me be near you. I'm sorry I'm not great at conveying my feelings but just I know I like you too."

"You do?" you excitedly ask. "Like more than a coworker?"

"Well you wouldn't be laying in my bed if I saw you as just a coworker." you blushed and pecked his nose. He leaned back to stare at you before leaning forward to capture your lips. "Beautiful."
