oh man. werewolf kiri my GREATLY beloved. i have this idea in my head of him being like. having been turned when he was young and has, for the most part, sort of forgotten how to be a man ??? lives in a little cabin in the forest, doesn't interact with humans much, does things for his human self here and there, like hunt and cook meat and sleep in a big pile of furs and blankets and pillows 🥺

and our tiny lil village is so PARANOID !! thinks they have to sacrifice someone every now and then to keep the village safe 🥺 and they tie us up to some tree out in the forest even though we're kicking and screaming 🥺 and it's winter 🥺

and then out of the shadows comes this big hulking monster !!!!! to eat us !!!! we....think.....?

Question, does Leo planning to evolve to Blastoise or is he avoiding that? If so then why? (Also yikes since forcing to not evolve can be exhausting, Bulbasaur and Piplup can confirm that)

Nope! Leo is too happy being a wartortle. His reasoning is solely based on appearances. As cool as water canons on his back sounds, leo would never give up his tail (itd be like rise leo willinging giving up his stripes). Or his little wings.

The way Im treating evolution in this au is that since the turtles are pokemon/human hybrids, they dont experience evolution quickly like normal pokemon. Its a slow and gradual process. For example, when leo was young there was a moment when he looked like a cross between a squirtle and a wartortle. By the time he was 13 he loses all squirtle traits.

I never considered leo not evolving would put stress on him. In this au with all the mutants, Im taking the headcanon that evolution is tied more to experience then it is to age. Which means there WOULD be a moment when leo reaches that level but chooses not too. Hmm this is giving me thoughts. Chronic fatigue leo until someone gives this man an everstone?

Spoilers, draxum doesnt get his way. Because of splinters involvment, thats not leos moveset nor his nature.

This does have me thinking of the bad future. I can see him finally giving into evolution thinking that itd help fight against tmnp's version of the krang, esp after raph dies. Sacrifices who he wants to be for the greater good. Similtaneously i can see the other way around where hes an older wartortle with A BIG FLOWY TAIL
