update now that i’m back home

my dad and i flew back home today and i keep expecting my dog to greet me. sitting at the top of the stairs as i walk up, lying in his favourite spot under the coffee table, hearing his nails clack on the floor when he walked, sitting and staring through the glass doors when we sit in the backyard.

even when there’s five humans, two cats and another dog in our house, it feels empty without him.

when my dad and i were gone, i kept thinking i’d get to go home and see him. we’d get home from the airport and he’d be all over me, so excited that we were home.

when i talk about my pets, i keep going to say “my dogs” then stopping myself to say “my dog” and it just feels fucking terrible.

and i know that im gonna keep expecting him to show up for a long time. that next time i see him, im gonna hug and kiss the crap out of him. it happened with my childhood dog. it happened with my papa jack. it’s happening with my dads uncle. and now it’s happening with my baby james.

we had only just celebrated his 8th birthday in may (that post is up on here somewhere) and he’s gone way too soon

hey besties! quick update;

my dads uncle passed at the beginning of september, i’ve joined my dad on the trip to attend all the family gatherings etc.

my mom was supposed to join us on this trip but the day we left, our dog had to be put down. he was suffering a lot and deteriorating very fast so my mom stayed behind to be with him in his final moments.

besides those two tragedies, there’s been some more practical issues in our household and it’s all either irritating or devastating

anyways, this is why i’ve been inactive recently

so sorry for the rant right now but i really need to LOL. so last night i decided at 12:20 to open my notes app and write a letter to that man that i had a crush on, basically what i should have told him LOL. tell me why it took me an hour to do that. but then i told my friend that i needed to talk to her abt it and we talked for an hr. and i was crying and it was so rough and i have so much to study for, so overwhelmed idk what im doing -<3

no because that is such a cathartic experience and i hope your heart is doing well after that. i’m happy to hear you have people you trust and can talk to about this, it makes it a bit easier. shoutout to your friend for the venting sesh i’m sure you definitely needed that! aww i’m sorry to hear your overwhelmed, finals season really is diabolical idk if this’ll help but i’ve found the pomodoro studying technique to be so effective, maybe it’ll help you? i have faith that you’ll do great on your finals and once they’re over with all the stress will just melt away.

Sorry for the massive amount of inactivity. Ya boy gets super busy when it comes to cleaning toilets, gaming, and tiring my right hand. What can I say?
