One's family is the soul of his/her soul. Is there a life without a soul?

I would never wish for my worst enemies to be in my situation (being far away in safety while every member of my family is dodging the bullets, missiles, and shrapnel daily. They live in fear and are deprived of all the necessities for a humane normal life.

I do NOT buy the manipulative misleading news about a ceasefire to be signed soon because we had heard such news countless times in the past year. Unfortunately, the genocide, chaos, loss, and killing will continue in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The atmosphere where I am in Ireland is filled with joy, gratefulness, Christmas songs and decorations, and the streets, cafes, and shops are filled with happy families. However, I look down into my heart and all I see is a broken heart filled with fear and agony. No words in the English language properly and aptly describes the fear that strikes my heart and spreads with blood through my body when my mother said: "The bombing never stops in our area and the quad copters fire their bullets at people walking in the street." Even the most gory and bloody horror movies can not reflect a portion of the terror and fear the has overtaken and consumed people.

When I hear the work Nusairat, the area in central Gaza where my family is, I get a panic attack and suddenly lose sense of my surrounding. I hear news everyday about entire families including women and children being targeted by Israeli missiles made in American and Europe, and I fear for my family. Would not you, too? Me and you are not so different after all. We are made of flesh, bones and blood. We have dreams, ambitions and aspirations. We care and fear for our families and loved ones. So, what made our blood in Gaza so cheap? When did we turn into less of human beings?

I can tell you without equivocation that we are damaged and broken beyond what you could possibly think. Entire cities in the Gaza Strip were flattened. My family's house in the north of Gaza was severely damaged and our city has turned into an unlivable ghost city.

From our family to all the families out there that care for Gaza and Gazans, please boost our campaign in whatever way you can and help us reach our final goal. Help my family evacuate and reunite in Ireland. While enjoying this Christmas break with your family and loved ones, please do not forget your brothers and sisters in Gaza who go through horrors you cannot begin to imagine.

My family is in a place where a missile can fall and tear them to pieces. We deserve to be together in a safe place away from the chaos, death, terror, and bullets. Jawed , a Voice Reflecting the Struggles of an Entire Generation😭😭

I am Jouad, 60 years old, living under harsh conditions imposed by the war. Though I have carried many hopes and dreams within me, a weak heart suffering from illnesses has made my life a challenging journey of survival.

I suffer from heart diseases and need medication regularly to maintain my health. But due to the war, life has become much harder. The war has prevented me from getting the medication I need. And when I am able to find it, its high price makes it almost impossible for me to afford. Every day, I face a new challenge, not only on the health front but also in securing medication to ensure a normal life.

I have 7 children whom I care for, and they are my source of strength. Despite my struggles, I hold onto them with all I have. I wish I could provide them with everything they need, but the harsh circumstances make that more difficult.

I hope that my story reaches the ears of those who care about providing medication to heart patients in times of crisis, because I am not the only one suffering. Many others face the same situation and dream of having the strength to keep going.

In a corner of this world filled with dreams and hope, there was a young girl named Shahad, born with a powerful dream in her heart: to become a doctor. I know you can’t say much, believe me, I understand classified, but I’m desperate man! I just need a contact in SAR and I’m sure with my certs and experience I can convince them I’d be an asset. I’ve been keeping up with all my training just in case so all I need to do is rent out my loft and I’m all set to go. Anyway, hopefully you’ll have some news for me in thurdays email. 🙏🏻

David Parrish pushed his desk chair back and turned to the wall of windows and the sea glittering in the sun while trying to decide how he wanted to handle this situation. He smirked as he imagined the chaos Buck would bring to Atlantis. And maybe another pilot for Sheppard to play with. Of course, that’s a big if, it’s getting less and less common to find someone with the gene the last few years and Carson has been scratching his head over the why of it. With a sigh, he got to his feet and waved their suite door open. “Now to find someone with some actual authority,” he muttered to himself as he turned the corner to the nearest transporter.

He emerged in the main SCIENCE! corridor, almost positive he would find Major General John Sheppard hiding in Dr. Rodney McKay’s lab. Sure enough, when he entered the main lab, John was sprawled in an oversized chair, engaged in their version of flirting which consisted of snark and Rodney calling John, Colonel, instead of General, while they also solved complex math problems for fun. Weirdos. Dave plopped into a nearby chair and observed the chaos while he debated who to approach first.

“I got some news from my friend in Los Angeles,” he stated, when he noticed John looking at him. “Oh, yeah?” John prodded.

“Remember the ex-boyfriend that we advised to give him a little time, then go full Buck on him?” Dave asked.

“Is this the firefighter friend that makes ancient tech sit up and beg?” Rodney asked, smirking at John. John rolled his eyes at Rodney then nudged Dave’s arm, “What happened?”

“The ex-boyfriend ran away to McMurdo for six months. Buck wants to chase after him, he asked for my help with an introduction to someone in SAR down there,” Dave shared.

John’s eyes lit up with excitement. “Are you going to lure him into the program?” he asked. “Thinking about it,” Dave responded with a smirk.

Tommy was running through his preflight checks when he flinched reaching for the clipboard. Pathetic. Multiple memories of Evan grinning mischievously with a clipboard in hand ran through his mind. He shakes his head sharply and stuffed the thoughts and pain back in the steel chest in the back of his brain. He was here to work where no one knew him, where he could just breathe without someone tiptoeing around his feelings, and where he could hopefully learn how to let go of the pain of his imploded relationship. Maybe if he hadn’t done the imploding himself, it would be easier but of course he panicked and the next thing he knew, he was walking out of Evan’s loft having destroyed everything. Before Evan could ruin him. Jokes on Tommy though, turns out he can ruin himself without any help. With a deep breath, Tommy shoves the self-loathing aside and returns to his checklist with a huff.

He was running the last checks when he heard the crunch of boots on the frosted pavement, his VIP passenger was right on time.

Buck put his laptop on the coffee table and sat staring blankly at the wall, his mind racing in a million different directions at all the possibilities. Did he want to explore this opportunity that is now much more than SAR in Antarctica for a few months? Not only for him, but is it fair that he dragged Tommy into this? What if Tommy hates him for indirectly bringing him to the attention of these people? At this point, Buck is pacing the floor of his kitchen. Is he ready to leave his life here in LA for what could be a life-changing new job? Eddie was leaving next week to be with Christopher. Maddie, Chim, Hen, and Karen are settled in their families and happy. Bobby and Athena have both mentioned thoughts of retirement as a not so far into the future potential. What does he want next? I SHALL RETURN!!!

This is the key to my home in northern Gaza 🗝, and here I am, taking this picture as a displaced person in southern Gaza 💔.

I often wondered why my grandparents, over 76 years ago, took the keys to their homes with them when they left.

Now, history is repeating itself, and I finally understand why I couldn’t leave my house without taking its key. It’s simply my love, my sense of belonging, and my hope of returning to the place that means so much to me. All that remains of it now is this key.

I wish I could have taken my home with me 💔. I wish I had taken one last picture with it, or given its walls and doors a deep embrace 😭. When I left on Saturday, October 14, 2023, I didn’t know it would be the last time. I can never forget that date—it’s engraved in my memory until my dying day. We thought we would be gone for just two weeks, but now it’s nearly a year, and we still haven’t returned.

The wait to go back is exhausting and painful 💔😭. I can't imagine the joy I will feel when I return, even if it’s only to rubble. I hope my return is near, and that we don't suffer the same fate as my grandparents, who never made it back. I hope you will keep your eyes on Gaza—we still need you and your help, especially in securing food.

Name: What does your twst OC's name mean? Why does Rook/Floyd call them [insert nickname]?

OH i have- lots of lil lore tidbits for this

Jocia, according to my research waaaay back when I finally looked into her name (I deadass thought I just made it up at first), is typically associated with "joy!" Though Im sure that was obvious from the almost constant glare on her face /sar. It is also a different form of the name Jocelyn, a German name. I always pronounced it Jo-sha til I learned it was supposed to be- well, exactly as its spelled, Jo-see-ah.

Floyd calls her Barracuda! Initially I was going to have that be what he called Yuu, but the "catfish" pun was too good for me to pass on. So- what else could I do but hand over the title to Jo? Plus I think it fits her better :P Primarily due to how the barracuda is more known for how they hunt and fight.

They are known to be ferocious, attacking quickly and using ambush techniques (similar to a certain pair of tweels). They are also known to just straight up take fish from other species, even human divers- besides that, they don't really attack humans unprovoked. Barracudas also compete with moray eels for food/prey.

I feel like this relates back to how Jocia "handles" her anger- or- howshetakesitout on people around her who wrong her/those she cares about. She is ruthless and fearsome at times, but for the most part she prefers to just... chill. She doesn't purposefully go seeking out trouble when she's in the right place mentally.

Rook calls her "Reine des épices" (pls excuse any mistakes, blame the translator), which translates to "Queen of Spice!" This is honestly more of a personal reference. Me and my partner always used to joke that Jocia was kinda like a pepper- and would often use 🌶️ when joking about her. It's mostly due to her fiery, hot-tempered nature.

Yuu- is- well, yuu. I didnt come up with that, i just snatched it JFNDJDJ. HOWEVER. "Shi" can have many different meanings! I tried my best to go for something vague. I like the thought of having something that leaves you guessing what applies and what doesnt. However! It can actually also mean "you." Yuushi as a whole can translate to "hero!" (Another ironic take, I know)

Floyd calls her catfish bc. It's funny. I think it's funny and I'd bet $20 that he'd think it's funny. So it's catfish KFNDJDK

Besides the obvious- (pretending to be someone she isnt), catfish can live in almost any aquatic climate, making them rather adaptable. They have a large range of size and behavior, and are most well known for their stinging "whiskers." (Glances at shi's taser) They ALSO compete with eels for prey- as long as they arent a small enough species, then theyd become the prey.

Rook calls her "Reine du Rock", which means "Queen of Rock"- this one is just simple. She loves rock music. She plays it all the time, and it is what she most enjoys performing. Again i am not a good translator trust me i tried to learn another languagemybrainjustcant

Another fact, the twin's parents switched them around at birth on accident, and forgot who they named what initially. It's entirely possible that Yuu was supposed to be named Jocia, but they don't know :P they fight over who is older bc of this too.

Yuu Shi is partial to suggesting treats to Trey- whether he actually makes Bungeoppang or just uses Doodle Suit, it is currently her easiest means of getting it when she only had it a few times prior. So, sure, she'll share... sometimes.

Jocia- given she is partial to a barbequed dish, she could share it with Leona given his love for meat... but WOULD she? No.

Yuu Shi would never subject anyone else to caffeine even if they really enjoyed it, unless that someone is the sink drain.

As for Jocia... really, she didnt have too much against olives. They were bad, yeah, but not horrible. She hated the way they made her tongue itch, though... and then she figured out that they weren't supposed to do that. She's allergic. Yuu Shi used to take them for her, but there isn't really anyone who enthusiastically WANTS them either.

When he turned you into a demon you lost all your memories, but you knew you loved birds. While you don't really have many bird-like features, just some feathers that you could control as your demon blood art, it was something hard to miss.

You can remeber having some singing for you at your arm-reach at sunrise, maybe you owned some as pets, but that is your only human memory. But look what you found as a demon.

Your feathers are not weapons, it's more a sensoring type of ability, so the buddha's damn second you found a Hashira that managed to get near you unnoticed even with the feathers spread to sense threats, you should have died. But the Upper Moon Four was around, deemed a bigger thread, and decapitated. The Hashira was talented, thank heavens you didn't got to face him, and managed to decapitate the anger clone, Sekido, after he came out, and the pleasure clone, Kakaru, let himself being decapitated for fun, bringing out Aizetsu, the sorrow clone, and Urogi, the joy clone. It seems you were the first demon with feathers he has seen for a while, since he, who has wings and talons, took a big interest for you instantly.

You remember wanting to grab his wings, they looked so majestic and soft that it made your insticts to take and touch clash with the ones that told you to fear Upper Moon Four. Urogi did not share those reservations and instantly grabbed your feathers without even asking, and caressimg his face with them. "They are even softer than mine! I'm going to keep some, ok?" You did not tell him that you could locate him if he did, or that you could feel his touch through the feathers.

You can always feel and find him, whenever he separates from the other clones, you know. And you chase.

"Oh, you've come to see me again!" He doesn't worry about this, he knows he can destroy you easily, and he enjoys your presence (the pun intended, he adores bad puns). "What you got there? Gimme!" To rush up here you had to eat, to not waste time you just grabbed a random human in your way. What was this guy doing just standing in front of his house (was it even his, at this point) beyond midnight is not of your business, just that he was around and you needed to eat to gain speed. Urogi takes the body off your hands and sits crooked over it to start eating, tearing the flesh with his talons and fangs.

You laugh it off. "Try to swallow your food, Birdie. It's not like you're going to feed chicks with that." He finally swallows before grining at you, taunting, he opens his wings as he stands up, with them he looks a lot bigger. The intimidating gesture doesn't let you move as he gets closer, his face just a breath away from yours.

"Why, would you like to see me feeding lil' chicks? Don't lie, I have seen the way you look at me, as if you wanted to have mine." Your face heats up as he wounds your pride with that confession, so you feel the need to answer something. That is the reason you came with a comeback you didn't even think through. "Oh no, if anything you would be the one laying eggs, Bird Boy." You both paralyze the second you finish that sentence. What the FUCK did you just said to one of the fifth strongest demons?

Again, you are very lucky, maybe you have a second demon blood art that gives you that much luck, because Urogi just laughs with a blushing face and uncomfortable smile, looking around without making eye contact. "I-I think Sekido is calling, so...... yeah. Good egg- I mean TALK! GOOD TALK!" He basically yeets himself into the sky, he flies really fast he got out of your sight in 7 seconds, only to come back and pass over you, that is where the rest of the clones are. But you survived.

And, the next time you meet Urogi, he's the one that reaches for you. You don't really know what to expect, he is not looking at you, just standing besides you and playing with his hands, blushing. "Hey.... so.... what was your name again?" You tell him, but Urogi still evades your eyes as he blushes harder and scratched the back of his neck. "Y/N.... ok. Yeah, um- about last time.... I kept thinking about it and.... it was hot." What?

He takes a deep breath to gain confidence before grining at you. "And, I know, you like me. A lot. So how about you do me a favor~?" He lunges at you grabbing your shoulders, digging your talons in, making you bleed. Just like that one time, your mouthes are one breath away from each other. He giggles as he lets his tongue out, letting it touch your mouth.

You have no idea if you used to catch birds as human or if your demon insticts are stimulating it, but you can only obey the urge to TAKE. Without thinking you grab Urogi's waist and slam him against a tree. He wraps his legs and wings around you before the impact, making his back recieve fully the hit as your pelvis meets his. This makes him moan as he tears your shoulders as he groans, sounding very close to a moan, and arches his neck. It takes you only seconds to heal as he moves his head over your shoulder "Breed me~".

The blatant lies in plagues (@/blood.plagues) "explanation" and more allegations. (Part 2)

Welcome back to the series of us sharing what we love about plague /sar. In the time period between this post and the one before it, we've found out more things that are either insane or just questionable.

1) Ableism.

This made me laugh when I first saw it as literally one simple google search and maybe 15 minutes of research could easily disprove this. According to this article by Mclean Hospital,

"BPD is a personality disorder that has historically been diagnosed in adults. However, despite the common misconception that BPD does not occur in those younger than 18, a significant body of evidence suggests it is possible for children and adolescents to begin to develop BPD before age 18.

Neither the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) nor the older versions of the DSM prohibit the diagnosis of BPD in young people.

According to BPD expert Blaise Aguirre, MD, “It is outrageous to think a clinician would not diagnose BPD when a person is seventeen years and 364 days old and then diagnose it the next day when the teen turns eighteen.”

Because teen personalities are still forming, young people may undergo many changes before they’re considered an adult. Mood swings, instability, and other symptoms may be a sign of hormonal fluctuations, stress, or anxiety.

Those who are experiencing symptoms of borderline personality disorder need help—don’t wait to seek care in the hopes that a behavior is “just a phase” or “they’ll grow out of it.”"

And that's just the first thing that comes up on google. Even if plague didn't know about this, it's reckless behaviour to fake claim someone who you aren't even in contact with, and double down on it when a simple google search would've told you that getting a diagnosis at 12 is in fact, possible.

This screenshot is even more disturbing than the last ones, he's straight-up mocking someone with down syndrome for literally no reason. There is no way to justify this, and the only way you could try to is if he was "ignorant" which would be a disgusting excuse, and mean nothing at the same time.

He cannot keep blaming everything on his "ignorance", his "dark and sexual humor", or the fact that he asked for permission. These need ACTUAL explanations describing exactly what was going on through his head while saying these. It doesn't matter if these were private conversations either-- it's still sickening to look at. Again, there's literally no way you could explain or defend this screenshot, it's actually heinous.

2) Plague's ignorance/Our statements.

In response to the screenshot of plague saying a slur he cannot reclaim, @/twproxy made a post addressing it. In the post, they shared this screenshot:

And I just wanted to offer my thoughts on this since this seems to be a very common pattern with Plague.

Even if these were private dms and that according to @/twproxy, people (lesbians) can't feel offended (even if the slur is offensive) because it wasn't directed at them, it's still reckless behaviour. Just the idea that he said a slur and had to be educated by people a decade younger than him is ridiculous. He's not a kid, he should know better. He could easily blame all of these screenshots, and this ENTIRE situation on him being ignorant, but we all know that's not true.

The slur was clearly said in a manner that meant it to be derogatory, anyone who can critically think can see that. Also like... it's clearly referring to lesbians (meaning that bisexual people can't reclaim it). Unless he's actually dumb and dense, he would realize that "hey! maybe that's a slur, let me search it up first to make sure!" but no, instead, he called a minor a slur that he cannot reclaim. What I'm trying to say is that he could easily be lying about this and just say "that he didn't know" to get them off of his back.

I'm not involved with this situation, nor do I know anyone who is, so maybe, just maybe there is in fact context I am missing. Maybe they said that he can call them slurs, which would be fine I guess. But to a regular person, this entire situation is just insane. From calling a 15 year old a derogatory slur he cannot reclaim, to pretending that he didn't know what it meant.

I wanted to talk about this in the post about him replying to his racism allegations, but I let Laila handle that one first. What I wanted to mention was how absurd it was that Plague saw a video of someone crying their eyes out about racism, and saw how clearly it affected them personally, and instead of apologizing like a normal person, he decided to "defend" himself by lying through his teeth.

I can't even find a word to describe that behaviour other than UNREAL. You SAW how your words affected people. and you wanted to double down on it and defend yourself instead of just admitting that you made a mistake and apologizing????

3) Plague using minors to defend himself.

It's also ridiculous how plague has minors writing posts defending him on tumblr instead of just addressing the allegations himself. It's pathetic and predatory to have minors do your dirty work. We won't share the screenshots unless we absolutely need to, to keep the people involved safe; but we were sent a pretty alarming piece of information. Plague has allegedly repeatedly asked one of his moderators to make a video about the situation to defend him.

I'll state it again, this is predatory behaviour. Minors shouldn't be fighting his battles and deal with the backlash. The longer Plague stays silent about this, the worse it's gonna get.

honestly? it could've been worse.

lots of things happened in 2023, both good and bad, in real life and on this hellsite. i feel like i've started to hone in on my voice as a writer this year, and my creativity and motivation just seemed to skyrocket for absolutely no reason. it's been fun sharing my work with you guys, and i'm forever grateful for all the love and support i have received <3 furthermore, thank you so so much for 4k followers!!!!! i never thought i would reach such a milestone, so it truly means a lot :')

Are you just tired of these kinds of posts coming from G@za strip that ask you not to skip and to read the whole post, interact with it, and help in sharing/reblogging it? Well, maybe you are right, but guess what? We are also tired of living in this reality for a whole 11 months.💔 And you know what? You have no idea how mentally and emotionally trying this is. Asking for help is not easy at all, but when I think that the price will be staying alive, getting our basic needs and rebuilding our lives, it pushes me more and more to do this until we reach our goal.

This is Nura, A sister who is trying to help her family. For a year until now, we have been struggling to get proper food after prices increased by 15 to 20 times, struggling to have clean water for use and drinking and now we're out of them all. We are trying to survive under starvation, thirst, and poverty.

Living in tents becomes more difficult as temperatures drop, it gets colder and there is fear of rain, Even the fear of bombing becomes more terrible in the tent with the blackness and terror of the night.

Even clothes and blankets are no longer of any use to us because they are worn out and buying replacements is extremely difficult with the high prices and scarcity of goods.

So please, if you can give help to our campaign, don't hesitate very simple thing makes a difference in changing the situation we are in. You can help us either by giving direct help to our campaign or simply by reblogging this post. We would be very thankful if you could share our campaign with families and friends.
