Endless Thirst
In Khan Younis refugee camp, the struggle for drinkable water is a harsh reality we face every day. This video captures the heart-wrenching scenes of our daily life, where lining up for hours just to get a basic necessity like water is the norm.
Imagine waking up every morning knowing that the day's main challenge is securing enough water for your family. Picture mothers, fathers, and children waiting under the scorching sun, desperate for a few liters of clean water. This is not just our story; it's the story of countless others in our community.
Yesterday, my youngest brother Khaled fainted while waiting in line under the relentless sun. The sight of him collapsing from exhaustion and dehydration is a memory that will haunt me forever. It is a stark reminder of the dire conditions we endure daily.
Water is life, and yet, it’s something we have to fight for. As you watch this video, I urge you to think about the impact of this daily struggle on our health, our dignity, and our hope for a better future.
Your support can make a difference. Share our story, raise awareness, and help us bring attention to the urgent need for clean water in Khan Younis. Together, we can work towards a future where no one has to endure such hardship for a basic human right.

I SHALL RETURN!!!
This is the key to my home in northern Gaza 🗝, and here I am, taking this picture as a displaced person in southern Gaza 💔.
I often wondered why my grandparents, over 76 years ago, took the keys to their homes with them when they left.
Now, history is repeating itself, and I finally understand why I couldn’t leave my house without taking its key. It’s simply my love, my sense of belonging, and my hope of returning to the place that means so much to me. All that remains of it now is this key.
I wish I could have taken my home with me 💔. I wish I had taken one last picture with it, or given its walls and doors a deep embrace 😭. When I left on Saturday, October 14, 2023, I didn’t know it would be the last time. I can never forget that date—it’s engraved in my memory until my dying day. We thought we would be gone for just two weeks, but now it’s nearly a year, and we still haven’t returned.
The wait to go back is exhausting and painful 💔😭. I can't imagine the joy I will feel when I return, even if it’s only to rubble. I hope my return is near, and that we don't suffer the same fate as my grandparents, who never made it back. I hope you will keep your eyes on Gaza—we still need you and your help, especially in securing food.
