HYDRATION STATION!
As the warmer months are nearing, we notice we sweat more, it's noticeably warmer earlier in the day, the sunscreen bottles start making their appearance, and so should extra water bottles!
Hydration is crucial to your performance and well being! Some know just how much they need to drink per hour, in combination with an electrolyte or fuel mix, other's simply drink to thirst, while many suffer with not drinking enough paying a toll at the end (or worse, during!)
Having good hydration strategies means you're maintaining the engine that is your body. Fueling and nutrition go together in combination to keep your body at a state of well being. Dehydration can happen easier than you think, leading to your body over heating, completely stressed out, at risk.
Building hydration strategies can be a simple task, that means so much to your performance. Assessments to measure your sweat loss can be done with a coach to assure you're consuming the right amount of liquids in the hotter months (or even indoor training where it can be warmer). From there you'll also be able to establish what electrolyte and/or liquid fuel sources work best for you and your training.

Este post de @miketrees.nrg me pareció interesante porque muestra lo distinto que es la natación del trote. En el post Mike responde a la pregunta, “cómo corro más rápido? Existen 3 respuestas . 1. Incrementar la zancada y mantener la cadencia. . 2. Incrementar cadencia y mantener longitud de zancada. 3. Incrementar zancada y cadencia. Hasta acá coincide con la natación -solo reemplaza zancada por brazada- y otórgate 1000 puntos si te caiste en cuenta. La diferencia va a estar en como se maneja esto en las diferentes distancias. 5km y más corriendo: Enfócate en incrementar cadencia (pasos más pequeños). 1500m o más (natación) Incrementar longitud de brazadas -deslizar más. Sería nadar como @adamoceanwalker. 800m to 5km (correr) Incrementar longitud de zancada. 200m a 1500m (cadencia) Incrementar cadencia, pero no dejar de deslizar. Un poco más de brazadas que en las distancias anteriores. Por debajo se 800m Incrementar cadencia y longitud de zancada. 50 a 200m (natación) Aumentar cadencia Por qué las diferencias? Cuando corres dar pasos pequeños economiza más energía, ya que no se desliza como en la natación, y puedes recorrer largas distancias. En distancias cortas puedes mantener una zancada más potente y por ende la cadencia puede aumentar mientras la zancada también es larga. La natación termina siendo como el patinaje, ya que el deslizar nos permite recorrer mas distancia sin mayor movimiento (lujo q no se tiene corriendo). On this day April 21st 1985 i ran my personal best for the @londonmarathon averaging 3:26 km including stopping to ❤️ kiss @ironmatewife at 22 miles🏃‍♂️ i averaged 17:09 for all eight 5km splits!
