So going into the Twisted Wonderland world you had your phone and in your phone you had photos of your old life. Some photos were recent, some not that far in time, and then some reaching your childhood. ďżźďżź
When showing off these photos to your very good friend Malleus one night, he comes across your old childhood photos. You were wearing an adorable costume. Malleus loves it! He canât get over how cute you were in the tiara and poofy ball gown. Itâs a little embarrassing, but itâs also nice to know that heâs not finding you ugly and teasing you about it, unlike somebody you know⌠Ace, that dick. Anyway! Malleus is just gushing over your photos and comments on how you look like a princess and you respond back with a âOh yeah thatâs right. I wanted to be a princess when I was a kidâ Malleus nods his head and swipes to the next photos of you drawing. He asks you about the drawings and you explain that as a child, you were obsessed with finding your True Love. You would imagine that Prince Charming would come to your rescue and sweep you off your feet. Together you would both ride off into the sunset and live happily ever after. Or something like that.
Malleus pauses and puts the phone down. He turns to you and ask
Malleus: âWhat if you did become a princess?â
You: âHow would I be a princess? What, Is there some royal family out there, looking for their long last daughter?â
Malleus laughs and looks deep into your eyes
Malleus: âWhat if I made you a princess?â
You: âHow would you do thaaaaaaaaâŚ.. OH WAIT! PAUSE!âďżź

"He's behind you!"
This festive season, Archibald Haddock has partnered with Narwhal Theatre to bring over a beloved British holiday tradition - the pantomime! Expect ridiculous antics, magic, high camp and of course, live musical numbers. This year, Cinderella, played by Martine Vanderzande, will be rushing off to the hottest event of the decade - the Royal Ball! The Fairy Godmother shall be played by the stunning Bianca Castafiore. Book your tickets now, and hurry before the strike of midnight!
After returning from a disastrous stay in China, Tintin wonders if he has finally bitten off more than he can chew. In an effort to save a struggling theatre, Haddock and Ramo Nash have produced a panto of Cinderella to raise funds. Tintin accepts the offer to be stage manager, hoping that staying busy during the holiday would keep his mind off the heartbreak from Chang's family drama back in Shanghai.
Not only has he underestimated how difficult stage management is, he has to deal with friction between the cast members, his own relationship issues with Chang, and a mounting pile of violent threats from far right groups who are deeply offended with the production...
The show must go on!
Haddock wrote the script, and Ramo Nash is overseeing set, prop and costume designs. Casting Chang as Prince Charming and Martine as Cinderella was an easy choice for Haddock - as Chang and Martine used to go dancing all the time, they've become excellent dance partners. Martine could also really do with the extra income, as the museum is closed for a part of the holiday.
Filling the other roles was more challenging. Haddock reluctantly casts Castafiore as he hopes her star power will draw crowds. Nobody auditioned for the role of the evil stepmother, other than irritating insurance salesman Jolyon Wagg. Surprisingly to Haddock, Wagg is a powerful presence on stage, being very capable of camping it up for the audience. Ignorant to Haddock's seething hatred of him, Wagg wants to do this to entertain his large family!
After receiving death threats from local fascists, the actors playing the ugly stepsisters drop out, fearing for their own safety. The Thompsons are sent in to monitor the situation, deciding the best course of action is to play a part in the pantomime themselves.
Calculus and a couple of trainees are brought on as stage technicians, joining Tintin backstage. Tintin finds it difficult watching Chang dance with Martine, as it constantly reminds him of how his relationship with Chang must remain secret.
also yes, this poster is a reference to the poster for Tintin and the Blue Oranges

Hi hi. Hope your taking care of yourself. I just want to ask on the grid kids series can i request the drivers being mistaken as grid baby's parents... like shes out with them where people dont know who they are and they get mistaken for being her parents. (you can choose any two drivers if u wanna write it)
Grid Kids: Mistaken Identities
Sebastian Vettel x wife!Reader x platonic!drivers
Summary: the grid kids learn that sometimes seeing two men with a baby can make people draw the wrong conclusions
Series Masterlist
Max and Charles: Disney Princes
âWhy do I feel like weâve bitten off more than we can chew?â Charles groans, adjusting the collar of his prince costume as they step into the magical world of Tokyo Disneyland.
Max smirks, tugging at his own princely garb. âBecause you were easily swayed by a toddler. But why did I let the two of you drag me into this too?â
Your daughter skips ahead, twirling in her Cinderella dress, utterly delighted. âPrincess!â She chirps, pointing to herself, and then at them, âPrinces!â
Charles laughs, ruffling her hair. âYes, yes, but remember, you owe me big time.â
Suddenly, a small horde of children swarm around Charles, their eyes wide with awe. âPrince Charming!â One of them squeals, reaching out to touch the hem of his outfit.
Max canât help but chuckle. âLook at you, a hit with the kiddos already.â
Charles, looking mildly panicked but trying to keep his composure, kneels down, offering his best princely smile. âHello, little ones. Are you enjoying your day at the castle?â
While Charles is surrounded, a couple approaches Max, eyes flickering between him, Charles, and your daughter. âYou three make such a cute family! How long have you and your husband been together?â
Max chokes on his spit. âOh, no, weâre not â I mean, heâs not â weâre her brothers, not fathers. And weâre definitely not together.â
The womanâs cheeks turn a bright shade of red. âOh! Iâm so sorry. My mistake.â
Charles, now free from the throng of kids, joins in, âItâs alright. Happens a lot more than you would think.â He winks at your daughter, âThis princess has a way of wrapping everyone around her finger so I can see the confusion.â
Max and Charles immerse themselves in the Disneyland experience, fully embracing their roles as makeshift royalty. They take pictures, go on rides, and even join your daughter for a tea party at Cinderellaâs Royal Table.
While leaving, a staff member waves, âGoodbye, Prince Charming!â
Charles raises an eyebrow, âWhich one?â
Max smirks, âClearly, they meant me.â
Your daughter grins cheekily. âBoth Princes. My Princes.â
Mick and Lance: Horsing Around
âWhy is she covered in hay?â Lance looks down at your giggling daughter who has a spot of dirt on her nose and straw in her hair.
Mick picks her up, attempting to brush it off without much success. âBecause someone wanted to roll around with the bunnies.â
She claps her hands together. âBunny soft! And pony! I want pony!â
A farmer passing by overhears their conversation, a knowing smile on his face. âThat's how it starts, you know?â He nods towards Mick and Lance, âMy daughter wanted just one pony and now look around you â turned into this whole farm.â He chuckles, looking at your daughter with fondness, âSeems history is repeating with your little one. Sheâs clearly got her daddies wrapped around her finger already.â
Mick chuckles, scratching the back of his neck, âOh, weâre not her dads. Weâre her brothers. Just trying to spoil her a bit while we can.â
The farmer looks slightly surprised but grins, âAh, my bad! You looked so domestic and I assumed. But a word of advice from someone whoâs been through it ⌠those little eyes? Theyâll have a whole farm following you home if youâre not careful."
Lance nods in agreement, âShe gets her charm from our mom.â
Your daughter, however, is undeterred. âPony! Please, please, pony!â
Lance tries to be stern, âI donât think Mom and Dad will let us get a pony.â
But her big eyes and pout should be illegal.
They cave instantly. âOkay, okay! Weâll see what we can do,â Mick promises.
As they head home, Mick turns to Lance, âYou realize we canât actually get her a pony, right?â
But Lance just smirks. âWatch me.â
***
Later that evening, youâre sipping tea when a rather unexpected sound catches your attention.
Neighhh.
You rush to the window, eyes widening at the sight in front of you.
Lance meets your eyes sheepishly, âSo ... we mightâve made a tiny impulsive decision ...â
Mick is holding a bedazzled harness belonging to the animal in question, âTiny? Itâs not exactly a chihuahua.â
Your daughter rushes to you, grinning from ear to ear. âLook, Mommy! Pony!â
You sigh deeply, âI leave you two in charge for a few hours and apparently we now own a pony?â
Mick shrugs, âIt seemed like a good idea at the time?â
Lance adds, âWe just couldnât say no to her!â
You laugh, pulling them both into a hug with your daughter sandwiched between. âYou boys are impossible. When did you become such softies?â
âJust following in your footsteps,â Mick smirks. âYou know, spoiling the ones we love."
Lance nods, âGuess it runs in the family.â
Lando and George: Busy Bees
âIs she ready?â Lando asks while leaning over to check his face paint in the mirror.
George adjusts his fake antennae headband. âI still canât believe you convinced me to wear this.â
Your daughter runs in from behind them, flapping her tiny bee wings with a big smile on her face. âBzzz! Bzzz!â
Lando laughs, âLook at you, the cutest little bee in the hive!â
He then whispers to George, âAt least we match.â
George groans, âYeah but did we really have to be flowers? Itâs bad enough that sheâs got me trick-or-treating for the first time in twenty years.â
As they set out, the trio attracts many admiring glances, especially when your daughter toddles up to houses, holding out her little bucket and adorably attempting a âTrick or treat!â
At one house, an older lady opens the door, gasping with delight. âOh my! What a beautiful little family! You and your husband have done such a wonderful job. Your daughterâs costume is simply adorable!â
Georgeâs cheeks flush under his floral face paint, âOh, uh, weâre not a couple. Weâre her brothers!â
Lando waves his hands, âYeah! No couple here, just brothers. Heâs too annoying to date anyway.â
The lady looks slightly taken aback but quickly recovers. âOh, my apologies! Itâs just so rare to see two young dads out and about. Anyways, here you go, little bumblebee.â She drops a handful of candy into your daughterâs bucket.
The night continues with more misidentifications, George and Lando taking it in stride but also bickering about who gives off more of a dad vibe.
George pokes Lando, âI told you, dressing as matching flowers makes it look like weâre together.â
Lando rolls his eyes, âYouâre just embarrassed because Mrs. Thompson from three houses down thought we were a couple.â
George grins, âWell, maybe if someone didnât m insist on holding my hand to guide me ...â
Lando splutters, âThat was to stop you from tripping over a pumpkin in the dark! Besides, look, sheâs having the time of her life.â
Your daughter just continues her âbzzing,â happily collecting candies and compliments.
When they return home, a mountain of treats in tow, your daughter shows off her loot with pride.
Sebastian greets them at the door, laughing as he sees their costumes. âLooking good there!â
George mumbles, âAt least weâre on brand.â
Lando grins, âExactly! Team Bee for the win!â
Your daughter, energy not even slightly dimmed, runs up and hugs Sebastian, âDaddy! Bzzz!â
Sebastian chuckles, âMy little bee. Did you have fun with your brothers?â
She nods vigorously, âBzzz!â
You shake your head in amusement. âAlright, my buzzing bee, time for bed. And you two,â you point at George and Lando, âthanks for being such good sports. Even if you did look ridiculous.â
George and Lando are already on their way to raid your vanity for makeup wipes. âAnything for our little bee,â Lando says with a wink.
The Parents and the âParentsâ
Charles runs a hand through his hair, âSo, Y/N, Seb ... you wonât believe how many times Max and I have been mistaken for a couple when weâre out and about.â
âYeah,â Max chimes in, âapparently we give off strong young dads in love vibes.â
Lance sighs dramatically, âDonât even get me started! Mick and I took her to the park a few days ago and this lady actually asked how long weâve been married and when we adopted her.â
Mick nods, âShe even recommended a couplesâ yoga class for us. Said it helped her and her wife reconnect for personal time during parenthood.â
Lando, trying to stifle a giggle, pipes up, âGeorge and I were given a book called The Ultimate Guide for Gay Dads by our new neighbor. She said it really helped her son and his husband.â
George gestures wildly, âWe even got invited to the local dadsâ weekly barbecue. I think weâre honorary members now.â
You burst out laughing, âOh my god, I canât breathe! This is priceless.â
Sebastian chuckles, âI think itâs sweet that our daughter has so many loving dads. Weâre setting a new norm here.â
Max grins, âI always knew I had a paternal side.â
Charles nudges him, âMore like you just canât bring yourself to say no to her.â
Lance admits, âThatâs true. Is this a good time to apologize for the pony in your backyard again?â
Everyone turns to look at Mick, who shrugs, âShe has the best puppy eyes, okay?â
âItâs a gift really,â George agrees. âI tried to do the same face to Lando to get the last slice of pizza but all he did was laugh at me.â
Lando retorts, âThatâs because your puppy eyes looked more like you were constipated.â
Suddenly, the laughter is interrupted by a small voice. Your daughter toddles into the room, holding a toy race car in one hand and a doll in the other. âWhy do you all have funny faces?â She asks, her innocent eyes widening.
Sebastian picks her up and sits her on his knee, âWell, little racer, we were just talking about how sometimes people think that your brothers are your dads.â
She scrunches her face in confusion, âBut thatâs silly! Theyâre still your babies too. How can they be dads?â
You laugh, âYouâre absolutely right, sweetheart. They definitely still act like children sometimes.â
The six indignant whines of âwe do notâ you get in return donât really do much to help their case.
But you love your kids anyway. All seven of them.

The Wedding of Charles, Prince of the Isle & Infanta Maria Christina of Selvadorada
read about their wedding below!
The wedding of the Prince of the Isle, heir to the Windenburg Throne, was destined to be one of the largest royal events of the century. The arrival of the beautiful Infanta attracted a crowd of thousands at the San Myshuno docks. The Infanta was escorted by the Prince of the Isle and her family including the King and Queen of Selvadorada. The Earl and Countess of Blythe, Charles' uncle, and aunt, hosted a banquet at Ely House that night in honor of the Selvadoradian Royal Family.
The next day, the Selvadorian Royal Family was escorted in a royal procession to San Myshuno Palace by the Prince of the Isle. The Infanta met Queen Mary II for the first time at the Palace and was instantly charmed by her kindness. While at the San Myshuno Palace, the bride and groom were given wedding gifts by the Lord Mayor of San Myshuno and other senior government officials. Later that night, the Queen hosted a banquet at the Palace. Following the banquet, the guests went into the gardens where they watched fireworks being displayed. The fireworks were green and gold, and red and white, which represented the flags of Selvadorada and Windenburg.
On August 8th, 1863, Charles and Maria Christina were wed at the St.Bartholomew Cathedral. The bride was attended by seven bridesmaids, all being members of her husband's family, including Princess Francesca of Tartosa, Princess Maria Anna of Tartosa, Princess Helene of Brindleton, Princess Feodora of Brindleton, Lady Henriette Penrose, Lady Georgiana Penrose, and Lady Beatrice Statford. The public Peteran wedding ceremony was performed by the Archbishop of San Myshuno, while a private Jacoban ceremony was held at the San Myshuno Palace. The ceremony at the Cathedral was a grand affair, with over 700 guests in attendance. The wedding was mostly attended by courtiers and members of the bride and groom's family, with little foreign royalty invited.
The Queen hosted a large wedding breakfast at San Myshuno Palace followed by a ball held in the evening. Selvadoradian flags decorated the streets of San Myshuno and Windenburg, and free bread was distributed to the masses in celebration. Following the wedding, banquets and balls were held every night for a week straight to honor the royal couple. In particular, the Duke and Duchess of Montclair hosted a Georgian-themed costume ball which the entire court attended. Infanta Maria Christina dressed up as her husband's ancestor, Leilani, Princess of the Isle. Unfortunately, the costume would prove to be a good fit as Leilani and Maria Christina would both die in childbirth before ever becoming queen.
After a week of festivities, the couple left San Myshuno and spent their honeymoon at Witham Castle. The couple remained at the castle for two weeks before returning to San Myshuno where they would set up residence at Honey House.

Thoughts on The Rise of Red
Okay, these are just my thoughts that I wrote down in my note app as I watched the movie.
SPOILERS if you haven't watched "Descendants: The Rise of Red" yet:
Uma crying talking about Carlos is definitely China crying for real. Itâs definitely a plot inconsistency because as far as we know Uma and Carlos didnât have any type of relationship outside of Mal but for China and the audience, I thought it was a touching nod to Cam.
Maybe itâs just me but I feel like over the past three movies we had gotten better with the wig situations and this movie felt like a bit of a step back for some of these wigs
The special effects in Redâs first song were pretty neat for a DCOM-adjacent movieÂ
Maddox is kinda cuteâŚThis man is 44!?!?! đ
Paolo Montalbano đ My first crush! Honestly he and Brandy and China are the only reason why Iâm watching this.
Still not a total fan of Cinderellaâs dress. Itâs giving royal moo-mooÂ
Brandy and Paolo are still cute together. Like not even in a romantic way but they are definitely co-actors that have great chemistry on screen together. Like it feels like they slipped back into their characters effortless.
Iâm sorry Brandy but those shoes are ugly
OMG! Chad is their son!!! They really was like, the Prince Charming had a White dad and a Black mom so of course he and Cindy can have a White son đ¤Ł
Is it me or are there already more songs in this movie than the previous?Â
Maybe itâs because itâs the only second song but I definitely expected that they would have given Rita and Brandy more to work with
I know Dylan and Thomas probably have grown out of working with Disney but I at least wish they gave a throw away line about where Harry and Gil are. Like we know at least where Mal and the others are and that Carlos apparently died. Idk, the lack of Harryâs line in Umaâs song made me miss them.
You know, for all of the fuss they made about the magic wand, the fact that the Queen of Hearts can easily cut it in half is funny to me
Is this Aladdin and Jasmin they keep cutting back to? I didnât keep up with the movie production before it came out so maybe them being in this movie shouldnât be surprisingÂ
âNow make me proud, for once,â is such a hard comment to hear from a parent.
Not Chloeâs wig changing randomly đ¤Ł
The actress playing young Fairy G definitely looks like a younger actress of the original one. Good casting.
I feel like a lot of these songs are just sing talking. Like not really singing but just them talking and like I know they did that sometimes in the previous movies but it just feelsâŚodd
âŚ.did Chloeâs wig changeâŚagainâŚ???
It didâŚ.
Did both of their wigs change???
Honestly, Iâm underwhelmed by the costumes. I know the same designer wasnât on this movie but eh
Ella is like⌠âMom? Who you calling mom?!??!â đ¤Ł
I forgot that since this was before Auradon they probably would take classes about magicÂ
Bridgetâs and Redâs outfits are so far my faves
Jaladdin đ¤Ł
âIf you wanna roll together we can be a vibeâ đ¤Ł
âŚ..Chloeâs hair changed againâŚ.Is this just her face hair or something because itâs not the hair she had in the previous scene
Morgannaâs son!?!? Didnât expect that. Again, I have been so far removed from keeping up-to-date about the production of this movie
Oh I forgot Maleficent and Hades were together at some point. Guess I just thought that was an Isle boredom fling thing
I love how this movie totally negates anything that has happened in the original movies, at least in terms of how they happened. I honestly like to think of the OG movies as royal propaganda đ¤Ł
Okay so I think thereâs three wigs that Chloe has had, a regular, a slightly more volumized one, and then what my friend calls the âchia petâ one đ
ChloeâŚNO! đŤ
Honestly, this portrayal of Cinderella is kinda my fave. Sheâs been through a lot
Okay, should have known the VK songs would be a bop
Maybe itâs just me but every time I see Hades in this, I think he looks like Chris Colfer
I feel like this movie has so many special effects which isnât bad, itâs just interesting because I feel like big special effects were saved until the last half/battle
WIG CHANGE AGAIN!
Paolo acting his butt off to the pay the bills
Oooo that was too far RedâŚ
Wig change
Yeah, this movie definitely has a lot more songsâŚđŹ
AlsoâŚwhy is her wig longer when theyâre gardening?Â
Are thereâŚare there FOUR wigs?!?!?!?!
Me snorting at the captions reading -hero music playing-
Morgannaâs son is missing a few brain cells. Love him.
Thereâs 7 minutes leftâŚ.what are they gonna do in 7 minutes!
Not the Queen of Heartâs hair blowing in the wind! đ
I know itâs not that serious in this movie, but I wonder whatâs the reasoning for Red never going to Auradon now that things have changed
Iâm glad the Queen of Hearts is nice and all but there should definitely be a fanfic about how Red is trying to distinguish her old reality with her new. And no, it wonât be from me. I wipe my hands clean of this series. I mean it! Iâm so serious! I totally donât have any plot bunnies in my head now! Nope! None. At. All!
Wait! Uma! Are you implying thereâs going to be some - GASPS- ramifications to the time traveling!?!?!?
Final thoughts:
Maybe itâs because Iâm OFFICIALLY not part of the target demographic anymore but I kind of felt underwhelmed. Like the last three movies had things I wasnât a fan of but there were at least songs, aspects, characters, that I was a fan of. Honestly, the only person I LOVED in this one was Maddox. If you liked this movie, thatâs totally fine and I hope my thoughts donât stop you from enjoying it. I hope you have all the head cannons and fanfic ideas and amazing energizing conversations with others in the fan. If they come up with more stuff with this series (which they probably will) I might tune in but I think this, plus that Pt.2 outline of WLTF that I still owe folks will probably be my last active contribution to this particular fandom.Â
Anyway, my faves of Descendants: The Rise of Red:
Uma, even if she was just serving the purpose of narrator/handing the torch from one generation to the next
The nod to Cameron
Brandy and Paolo. I LOVE them on screen together.
I actually really liked Ella and hope to see the actress, Morgan Dudley in more things
Maddox was cute but I honestly always seem to have a thing for movie/TV mad hatters (points to OUAT and the SyFy mini series Alice)Â
Things Iâm âehâ about:
The WIGS!!!! And the costumes but the WIGS!!! Like, if this series continues they need to fix stat!
The songs were kinda forgettable. Ulianaâs song at her hideout was kinda a bop and Redâs intro song is good too but everything else was kinda âblehâ
I also feel like we didnât really get to know Red that well or maybe I was just too distracted by Chloeâs wig.
The plot and pacing. I mean, the OG Descendants movies werenât perfect but I feel like they typically hit certain plot beats where, as much as you can with these type of movies, it feels like the stakes are high. I guess Merlinâs office being the scene of the last âbattleâ and then going back to their time just felt a little anti-climatic for me.
But anywho, those are my thoughts. If you donât agree, thatâs fine, just be polite, okay?Â

In a wheedling, praise-hungry tone, Prince Charming describes what he saw while searching for the foot that fit the slipper.Â
Women with their toes mutilated just like the stepsisters, straining to smile, while their mothers loomed steely-eyed in the background. Maids with bruises burnishing their faces. Girls who flinched when their fathers or brothers came near.
Some were even bold enough to whisper in his ear, to beg him to pretend the shoe fit.
Royals cannot overemphathize, wallowing in othersâ misfortune. At my most rundown and helpless, neither could I.
Now, things are perfect. Why risk changing?
âPoor you,â I purr into his ear, pulling him on top of me.
Heâs big where men shouldnât be. He batters my insides. I feign ecstacy.
After, he goes to bathe. I adjust the skin Iâm wearing, since his pawing misaligned it. I check the seam down the back of me, none of the tiny white stitches have pulled free.
The ghost of the real Ella appears, perched on the bed.
I was her householdâs last remaining servant, I worked for room and board, unable to find another position. (I had a magpie habit as a child, and could never shake my tainted reputation.)
I attended the ball. The prince and I danced. But I suffered twenty years of abjection to her two.Â
Twenty years to degrade my skin and teeth, to rash my hands and wrists.Â
When I spoke, I had no memories of the south coast in the summertime. I hadnât read the books he referenced. I hadnât ridden a horse, only walked my swaybacked donkey to the market.
His eyes glazed over. I saw him decide that I was simpleminded as well as ugly.
He left mid-waltz to snatch up her hand again.
I held back a scream.Â
I stood in the corner watching how the chandelier light rippled over their laughing faces. Whenever the prince wasnât looking, Ella glanced at the door.
So, I waited just outside.
She ran like the priss she was and fought like it too.Â
I skinned her corpse and kept it. It felt fair. She donned the costume of servitude. I hung her in my closet.
Her skin failed to rot, too pure and delicate for the worms and bacteria to desecrate.Â
The announcement came that the prince would marry the woman who ran from the ball, the woman who fit the slipper.Â
Could I wear her skin to win him? No, it was too small. She was petite, childlike.
But her pelt was too refined to do something as crass as tear because the wrong person wore it.
I slipped it on and impossibly, it fit like a glove. I looked in the mirror and saw a tiny thing, with curls too golden for malnutrition to tarnish.
I saw matchstick ankles, and toddler feet. I smiled.
âHeâll catch youâ Ellaâs taunts. âHeâll have you beheaded.â
He wonât. Men donât admit theyâve been tricked. Royals donât either.
Weâll live happily ever after.

Okay, I watched Descendants: The Rise of Red yesterday and I have thoughts.
I enjoyed it very much.
This instalment has a bigger production value, most of the songs are bangers, the costumes are amazing, and I loved the leads.
Rita Ora as the Queen of Hearts steals the show for me. No joking, I think it's one of the best incarnations of the character.
Brandy is close behind, showing us an older and wiser Cinderella
The only problem was that the ending was too anticlimactic. It feels less like a conclusion and more like there's a half missing. I hope they flesh out these plot threads in the sequel.
But overall I loved this movie. I think it's now my favorite from the Descendants franchise.
And to end my review I have to talk about an interesting idea that the movie introduced.
Here we get to see when Cinderella, the Queen of Hearts, Maleficent, Hades, Captain Hook, Ursula'd baby sister, and Hades were all teenagers and studied in the same school.
Don't ask questions. This timeline is freaking bonkers. đ
But it lead me into thinking: Why don't we just put the fairy tale characters into high school?
Since Ever After High we had a wave of several tween stories about the teenage children of fairy tale characters going to a magical school. Descendants itself and School of Good and Evil were other examples of this trend.
But what if instead of creating characters whose entire personality is being related to some iconic character, why not just put them into high school?
For example: Let's say you want a teenage version of Captain Hook. Isn't it easier just making a younger version of him and putting him into a magical school? Why create random children that will be just his clones with unnamed, never mentioned mothers?
As another example: This movie does something interesting with Cinderella.
It goes for your typical Cinderella in high school tropes, with Stepmother and all, but it doesn't erase the magic of the fairy tale. The Prince Charming is a skater boy, but he's still a prince. The royal ball is the school prom, but the royalty still will attend. The fairy godmother is just Cinderella's classmate, but she's still learning how to use magic.
Teen Cinderella lives in a world where there is pop music, emo fashion, headphones, skates, cars, but her dress is still literally rags sewed together. Her stepmother is an Asian woman dressed like 19th century Europe. She still has to deal with people of the school making fun of her for being a peasant. Her classmates are a Greek God, a dark fairy, a clumsy fairy, a pirate, and Aladdin and Jasmine who are already totally smitten with each other. Her principal is Merlin himself.
I would gladly watch a movie of only these guys.
Why can't we just do that?
Fairy tales in high school but there's still magic, spells, and anachronistic tech in the fantasy kingdoms.
At this point, if you are going to ignore so many timelines and original settings, just make them teenagers in a anachronistic setting.

Roman, Virgil, and Janus for the character ask game? :)
Hey neon â¨
First, Roman :]
Favorite thing about them: it's Roman. My beloved. I really enjoy the prince gimmick, I always have. I think the moment he updated his costume is what solidified him to blorbo status for me.
Least favorite thing about them: he's perfect there ISNT a least favorite thing about him. I can't even come up with something for the game.
Favorite line: "time out for thee, time out for thee, focus on issues or focus on me," comes to mind. But any bit he's talking like a college frat boy is also fantastic. OH! or that spin he does in Can Lying Be Good and he squeals "MEEEEEE?" Amazing. 10 gold stars.
"I thought I was your hero."
brOTP: ooooh how could I pick one... prinxiety has got the best platonic dynamic over time and they really are so great in any font... but I do like Roman and Patton's bromance a lot.
Roman and Virgil, final answer!
OPT: HOW CAN I CHOOSE, FUCK-
I gotta name my top three, Prinxiety, Roceit, Logince.
nOPT: do I even have to say it...
Other than that, not the biggest fan of romantic Royality as of late. They have the potential to be very sweet with each other and I used to really love it, but to me theres very little you can do with them and it makes writing and consuming a bit one note for me. It makes even writing LAMP fics difficult and it's one of the reasons I have a fic of mine shelved.
Random headcanon: he's the biggest drama prince about the small things, but if something shakes him to his core, you won't see him for a week. Until he gets his spark back, there's nothing you can do to get him to leave his room. He'll be fine, eventually. (Side note: Patton had the best luck with getting him to come out and take care of him but now, Roman mostly ignores him.)
Unpopular opinion: I like that Roman is an asshole. Refer back to my "least favorite thing about him" Bit. He's mean but it's part of his charm.
Song I associate with them: ooof I don't listen to a lot of music so I'm gonna have to refer to the undertale track list: Death By Glamor (and it's associated songs before it shows up in the game) comes to mind, and For The Fans
Favorite picture of them: I dunno... I like the glam look a lot...
Next: VIRGIL
Favorite thing about them: Possibly one of my bigger fashion inspirations, I've been rocking the same fashion style since the 7th grade, the only difference is I have a credit card and I'm not limited to the stores in my dying mall.
Least favorite thing about them: refer to my unpopular opinion
Favorite line: "I usually go and sit on a surface that isnât meant to be sat on. Because when tomorrow comes, I will be faced with even more challenges, and I am too overwhelmed to be worrying about what is, and is not, a chair."
brOTP: Prinxiety, Analogical
OPT: Prinxiety my beloved...
nOPT: I dunno... I'm a multi-shipper at heart. If I absolutely had to name something, I get weird about Moxiety. Its cute, but most of it has a tendency to boil down to uwu-ification, on both sides. They're really interesting characters and I wish I could see more content that fleshed them out as such. (I'm not saying it doesn't exist, I just find it rarely and don't seek it out often)
Random headcanon: Virgil has a second or third set of eyes as part of his animal trait, it being a spider. With all the spider webs in his room, I think it checks out. I want to re-make his emblem with this in mind, I think it has the potential to be really cool.
Unpopular opinion: He's overrated. Everyone's favorite is Virgil. And I *UNDERSTAND* why, but I do think it gets annoying how much content is focused on him ("they say, as if they don't have a bunch of projects where Virgil is of main focus"). I've had this thought for awhile, but if any side was a "main character" for the series, it would be Virgil.
Song I associate with them: once again, back to the Undertale soundtrack: SpiderDance, Spookwave, and It's Raining Somewhere Else have Virgil energy.
Favorite picture of them: I think the skirt look, but the E-Boy look, as however disliked it was at the time, was really great too.
Lastly, Janus "Classy" Sanders
Favorite thing about them: He's charming, very similarly to how Roman is charming. I think it's the accent, really. Both Roman and Janus have that going for them.
Least favorite thing about them: :( he's too mean to Roman and that makes me sad. He can be mean to everyone else tho, I don't care.
Favorite line: Too many good ones good gosh. The weird noise he makes in one of the episodes, I can't remember which one. It's just so funny.
brOTP: Demus (or whatever the Janus x Remus ship name is)
OPT: Roceit. Go back and rewatch SVS. Bro was SHAMELESSLY flirting with Roman.
nOPT: once again, I'm a multi-shipper, but I can live without ever knowing Anxciet exists. You CAN have an interesting dynamic without it leaning TOO heavy into... *gestures vaguely*
I've seen far too many odd tropes with them, and while I can't deny I don't envision them having the healthiest of relationships, some people out here are romanticizing actual abuse and that stresses me out. this isn't even a dead dove- don't eat thing, I mean it's going into bad YA smut shit and that's objectively weird
Random headcanon: Janus needs the crook/cane to walk because snakes don't have legs and therefore, cannot walk.
Unpopular opinion: Less of an unpopular opinion and more of a general, quiet, less talked about opinion. Janus and Virgil are incredibly similar and cannot do their job without the other. I know this can be really said for all the sides, but for some reason I feel like Janus's and Virgil's is underused, overlooked, and underappreciated.
Song I associate with them: It's raining somewhere else (again), Waterfall, An Ending, Don't give up
Favorite picture of them: Uhhhhh just pick a frame from the sections of SVS where he's dressed as a lawyer.
#this took a long time.#i hope my music selections resonate with some of yall I highly recommend looking at them and telling me ur thoughts#sanders sides

My favorite writer taking requests! I have to ask for Carlo and kiss 8 - dying to see what you come up with!
A/N: Here you go, anon! This took some time but I hope you enjoy it! đ
Carlo x f! Reader
Word Count: 3106
Today:
How did I get here?
You stare at yourself in the floor-length mirror, taking in the fitted, shimmering green skirt that is supposed to represent a mermaidâs tale, the filmy pale pink and yellow of the material wrapped around your midsection and chest. Your bare shoulders and upper arms have been dusted with pearlescent white powder, your hair held out of your face by small hair pins in the shape of seashells. You look every inch the siren, foreign and mystical and not at all like yourself.Â
Behind you, you hear footsteps across the wooden platform, soft muttering in the language of Benitoite and you turn to see Carlo, Prince Silvioâs aide, followed by the twittering costume designer as he approaches to get a look at himself in the mirror. Gone is the solemn man in the plain clothing that skirted the border of being shabby but saved itself through quality of material. His ebony curls have been freshly washed and brushed away from his angular face, his dark blue eyes, the color of the sea at midnight, lined with black kohl. His usual fitted shirt has been replaced by a swashbucklerâs billowy tunic, wide open to reveal a surprising amount of well-muscled chest. Carlo used to work down at the docks before Prince Silvio found him, recognized the flame of intelligence that burned in those dark eyes and plucked him out of one life stained with hardship and into another one of research and service. Fitted black trousers hug shockingly well-formed legs, the calves of which are also covered by knee-high black leather boots. A sword hangs loosely about his hips, drawing far more attention to that area than it should.
He looks up from fussing with the scabbard, seeing you and he stops walking, nearly causing the costume designer to crash into him. With a few chirps she flits from here to there, making minute adjustments now that he is finally standing still, not noticing the way your gazes have locked with one another, the way his throat works as he swallows, trying to fight the sudden dryness. You have stolen his capacity to breathe, to think. How, how will he ever even remember his lines when he has to see you.....looking like that?
You turn away, hand pressed against the thunder of your heartbeat.
How did I get here?Â
Yesterday:
In your role as Rhodolite diplomat, King Leon has sent you to many places. You had proven yourself during your time as Belle and he valued your judgment in many matters. He had been especially impressed with the way you had won over his brothers, each and every one of them coming to, if not exactly like you, at the very least respect you. There was no one else he would have been happier to see take on a representative role, your intelligence and kindness and charm qualities befitting an exemplary ambassador.Â
You had chosen the gift for the Benitoite royals with care: a first-edition copy of a play by one of Rhodoliteâs most famous writers, a tragic love story between a sailor and a mermaid who fell madly in love with one another but whose families were locked in a centuries-long feud that would ultimately lead the sailor to drown in the arms of his lover rather than be apart from her. Leon had chosen this gift as the story is set in what is now Benitoite and hoped it would please the royals.
And it had. Perhaps too much. Silvio, mercurial as he is, had decided he wanted to not just read the play, but actually watch it be performed. When he had been informed that the national thespian troupe was on tour, traveling throughout the Ruby kingdom, he had turned those sharp ocean eyes onto you.
âIâm sure the ambassador is willinâ ta do just about anythinâ to please us. Ainât that right?â
Alarm bells began tinkling in the back of your mind but you found yourself sitting up straighter at the table, head tilting to one side as you regarded the haughty prince. A smile, much calmer than you felt, touched your lips.
âOf course Prince Silvio.â
He leaned back in his plush chair, necklaces jangling softly as he crossed his arms. Something about the expression on his face made those alarm bells begin chiming even louder.
âThen I say you do it. You can be the mermaid princess and uh....â His gaze scanned the room and landed on the man standing by the doorway, half in a shadow, quietly reading from a small, black leather-bound book. âCarlo!â The man looked up, startled.Â
âYes, your Highness?â
Silvio smiled broadly. âYou will play the lovestruck sailor.â He nodded once, pleased with himself. âArrange for costumes, music, and all that shit. I wanna see the play tomorrow.â
Carlo blinked as he looked around the room, his expression one of bewilderment. The leap from whatever he had been reading to his new reality seemed to have clogged the mechanisms of his brain as he comprehended what had just happened.
âGo on.â Silvio waved a jangly hand carelessly in your direction. âGo meet your lover.â
His gaze jumped from Silvio to you and the question he was asking himself was written plain as day on his face:
How did I get here?
Several hours later you found yourself in the library, which normally would have thrilled you to no end. Except instead of foraging for new literary treasures, you stared at the gift you had brought like it was to blame, while Carlo stared at you, looking a bit like an owl that had been awoken far too early from its slumber and wasnât quite sure if it was night or day.
Silence filled the room, snaking its way around bookshelves and wrapping you both up in its tendrils, leaving you awkwardly stiff and unable to form words. You had introduced yourselves, fumbling over each otherâs sentences, words clumsily knocking into each other, and then you had placed the book on the desk with a loud thump.Â
Since then, there was no sound.
Finally you cleared your throat. âStaring at it isnât going to help us. It seems Prince Silvio really is expecting us toâŚ.perform this.â
Your voice cut the strings that the roomâs silence had been holding him hostage with and he sank into the chair across from you, a frown on his surprisingly handsome face.
âI would try and speak to him but I fear if he knew how much neither of us wanted to do this, he would dig his heels in even more and perhaps invite outsiders to witness ourâŚ.production.â
You found yourself regarding him a moment as he ran a hand through his dark curls. âYou really know him well.â Silvio Ricci was not a man that let people close to him. Clearly Carlo was one of the exceptions.
A smile, ephemeral as quicksilver, touched his lips. âSi. He is trulyâŚ.exceptional in many ways.â
You sensed how there was more underlying his words, an entire iceberg under that small sentiment that poked out from the ocean of his experience with Silvio. But now was not the timeâŚ.you tore your gaze away from him, clearing your throat as you placed your hands on either side of the book.
âI can edit thisâŚwrite out the lines of the most important scenes. That way we donât have to worry about the entire play.â
He nodded, encouraged by your brilliant idea. âExcellent thinking, Signora.â
You glanced at him. âYou can use my name.â You added a warm smile, lifting one shoulder with a shrug. âAfter all, weâre going to be scene partners, arenât we?â
You didnât expect the flustered way he ran a hand through his dark curls, a faint dusting of warmth falling across his slanted cheekbones.Â
âIfâŚif you insist.âÂ
Tilting your head, you searched for and caught his gaze, your warm smile still in place. âI do.â
He nodded, rising from his seat to walk over to a desk across the room, kneeling to open a drawer. That smile was fogging his brain and he needed a moment away from its radiant light. You werenât aware of the effect you were having on him. You were suddenly far more aware of the broad expanse of his shoulders as he crouched, rifling through that drawer and the narrow taper of his waist as he rose back up to full height. Quickly you forced your attention back to the play, opening up to the list of characters, blinking against the swift barrel roll your blood was doing inside your veins. A moment later, Carlo returned, setting several sheets of blank paper and a fountain pen of marbled blue and silver next to you.Â
âYou can write out our lines here?â
âYes, perfect. Thank you.â And you got to work, forcing yourself to focus on the familiar play rather than the man who was smiling so openly it made you literally ache to touch his cheek, close to that smile.
Another hour had passed. Outside the sky was readying itself for the night, painting itself in the most striking orange and pink. You were writing madly, lost in your work as you read over the famous play, picking out the most important scenes and transcribing key lines that would keep the story intact but trim away any extras. Carlo peeked over the top of his notebook, his mind distracted from nautical calculations and oceanography notes byâŚ..you. You, lost in the play, mouthing certain lines as you copied them out diligently. And in beautiful handwriting, no less. Especially when compared to his own chicken scratch. You, so focused, trimming the play like a master butcher, carving out the heart of the story from within the many words. He understands that kind of concentration, that singular mindset as you navigate work like a skiff on the water. That was what he told himself anyway, that he was interested in watching you work and not in the way the evening light, spilling in through the library windows, blanketed you in its softness, catching highlights in your hair, the rose of your lips, the brightness of your eyes.
He didnât know how much time had passed, only that the sound of the fountain pen dropping to the wooden table startled him, his dark sapphire eyes blinking rapidly as he brought his gaze quickly back down to the notebook he had been happy to ignore.Â
âThere.âÂ
You slumped back in your chair, shaking out your hand, a grin on your lips. You actually did it and the pride in your accomplishment hung on the curve of your smile. Standing just as suddenly as you let the pen fall, you shoved back your chair and walked around the table to set yourself down next to Carlo. âLet me show you.â
His notebook disappeared into his pocket and he leaned in to where you began explaining the play and the scenes you chose. You spoke quickly, excitedly, as if making up for all the previous silence.
âThis scene is where they meet, the handsome, adventurous sailor and the innocent mermaidâŚ..â You went on to explain their instant connection, the fascination they have with one another. But their relationship is dangerous, forbidden by their differences, and when the sailor tries to tell the mermaid they shouldnât see each other anymore, she responds with a desperate kiss, one of the most romantic, most famous kisses in any drama throughout the lands.Â
When you got to this part, he noticed the way you paused, lifting your gaze to meet his and suddenly you were both imagining the same thing: kissing the other person.Â
Your gaze dropped to his lips, tracing their shape. He has such a beautiful mouthâŚ.He found himself wondering if your lips would feel as soft as they looked. The moment stretched out, the only sounds in the room the knocking of your heart against your breastbone, the audible inhale and shaky exhale of Carloâs breath.
And then the doors to the library swung open, scattering the moment like sand in a violent breeze.
âThere ya are. Iâve been lookinâ all over for you.â Silvio sauntered in, shaking his head, golden earrings swinging with the movement. âYouâre still my aide, ya know, Carlo. I ainât got all night to wait while you two practice your little show.â He stopped walking, taking in the blush spreading across your cheeks and the way Carlo had immediately shoved his chair away from yours. Blue eyes snapped from you to him like taunt sails in the wind and then a slow, wicked smile claimed the princeâs handsome face.
âLooks like I'm interrupted somethinâ.â
You sprang to your feet, dipping into a quick curtsy.Â
âPrince Silvio. We were just going over the edits to the play I made.â
Silvio cocked his head, moonlight-colored hair falling to one side as he continued to grin. âYeah I saw.â He paused, considering his next words. âWell I hate to break up yaâ little rehearsal or whatever but I need my man here.â
Carlo nodded, brushing down the front of his shirt. âOf course, your Highness.â He turned to you, not meeting your gaze as he pointed to the papers on the table. âMay I borrow these in preparation for tomorrow?â
âOf course,â you answered, the words coming out a touch too fast, stumbling on each otherâs heels. âI remember which lines I transcribed. I can study them from the original.â
Amusement has Silvioâs eyes gleaming like coins in the sunlight. The sardonic curve of his mouth told you both how much he was looking forward to whatever happened tomorrow. He turned on his heel, jewelry jangling and snapped his fingers as he strode out of the library, but whether the motion was a signal for Carlo to hurry up or simply a sign of his glee at the situation he had forced you into was unclear.
Carlo started after him, holding the papers you painstakingly wrote carefully to his chest. Suddenly he stopped mid-step, turning to look your way one last time. Your eyes locked and then he gave you a quick bow.
âUntil tomorrow.â He glanced up quickly, and then in a softer tone, added your name to the thought. The sound of it coming from his lips, rounded by that accent, sent a flare of warmth from your stomach up through your face. Every nerve in your body felt incandescent and alive. You managed to incline your head in return, hoping he didnât notice the flush you knew was rolling across your skin.
When the library door closed behind him, you found your legs too shaky to support your weight and you sank back down into the wooden chair, drawing in several deep breaths.Â
How did I get here, you wondered, hand pressed against your midsection as if calming the tornado of butterflies that had taken residence within.
And what am I going to do?
Today:
Carlo is a marvel. Never would you have expected the quiet, seemingly shy attendant to step out from behind the red velvet curtains and become the witty, bold sailor who enchants the mermaid princess. He strides across the stage, a new man, shoulders wide as if challenging the world to even try and burden them. Sometimes, as he delivers his lines, you recognize shades of Silvio in the lilt of his voice, the swagger in his movements. Carlo mirrors the Benitoite prince as he brazenly proclaims his love for you, swearing to fight the seven seas themselves if it means he is allowed to be yours. He makes it easy, so very easy, to slip into your role as the lovestruck siren, completely taken by this man, wondering if she could risk everything to be with him.
Youâve arrived at the turning point of the play, the moment when the mermaid princess has had enough of denying her feelings and makes the decision to follow her heart. How does she do this? By interrupting a passionate rant, grabbing handfuls of his shirt and yanking him towards her, stopping the flow of words with a kiss.
Carlo is pacing, his lines flying from his lips, memorized with the same perfection he uses to calculate wind rates and ship speeds. His hands, glinting with golden rings under the bright stage lighting, are as active as his mouth, punctuating his words with gestures, emphasizing his embattled state of being in love and never wanting to wonder what could have been.
And then it feels like a dream, like you really are swimming underwater as you cross the stage to where he is standing, roughly gathering the soft white cloth of his tunic in both hands. You pull him to you, leaning up to press your lips against his.
The ocean roars in your ears the moment they touch. The stage, the gathered audience of royals and nobles, the cavernous ballroom where the performance is taking place, the dazzling stage lights. All of it is swept away, like the sea raking its fingernails over the shore and pulling sand along with it. All you know now is the shape of his mouth as it fits against yours, the feel of his arms as they wrap around you and pull you tightly against the safeguard of his body. It is both electrifyingly new and astonishingly familiar, as if your body already knows something your mind doesn't. His lips part and he seeks entrance to your mouth, brazen as the wind when it plucks at a shipâs sails, snapping them to and fro. There is no resistance. You yield, softening in his arms, relinquishing your hold on his shirt to run your hands down his sides, around his body, palms pressing possessively against the small of his back. You are sinking, down, down, into the taste of his mouth, the heat of his embrace. Still waters run not only deep but hot, full of unexpected fervor and heart-stirring excitement.Â
You have no idea how long you kissed, the time it takes a wave to caress the shore once, twice, fifty times. What you do know is when you finally break apart, the audience is motionless, breathless, hanging on the edge of their seats, and in Carloâs midnight gaze you see truth, burning like the fire of a thousand stars.
In the front row, arms loosely crossed, Silvio Ricci smiles slowly. Knowingly. His instincts had been right and he practically glows with the satisfaction of it all. Benitoite will likely be seeing much more of the Rhodolite ambassador. Che bello.

Phantom Thief outfit breakdown: pt 4
This is a continuation of my previous post and series regarding my opinions on the phantom thieves' metaverse costumes, prompted by a poll by @waywardsalt. I will like all of these together as they're finished.
Akechi - Ann - Makoto - Futaba - Yusuke - Akechi 2
Next on the docket is Sumire, as her outfit is another I have very strong opinions on.
My main gripe with Sumire's outfit is that, by and large, its NOT her costume, as thus her idea of justice personified, its JOKER'S. The real-world reasoning for this is because she's the mascot and marketing character for Persona 5 Royal specifically and thus must match the promotional material, which is the thematic black and red, but it does drive me up the wall that this character, whose entire arc is learning to be and embrace herself and not cling to idealized versions of the people she loves as things to mimic and mold herself into, has a costume based entirely on another character's costume. This outfit tells me nothing about her except that she admires Joker and is probably romanceble.
Firstly, I would make efforts to incorporate an additional motif to her overall design inspiration. Her design is largely lacking them as it follows Joker's theme but lets go of many of his gentleman thief and Arsene Lupin inspirations in its desire to be more feminine. My preference is either for more fairytale/Cinderella motifs, to match her persona, or to add an element of the black swan from swan lake, as it would be a nice bit of foreshadowing to the way she's pretending to be Kasumi for confidence and validation, like how Odile impersonates Odette to charm the prince.
I would change up the leotard a bit. As it is, it's very basic, which I think is a disservice since we see her prettier leotards for competitions. I would add the skirt and some of the filigree decorations of her competition leotard, which only appears very briefly as Sumire mostly wears Kasumi's pink one instead of her own blue, and which provides some delicacy and a nod to her status as a gymnast to the outfit, as well as tying her to Cendrillon stylistically.
If you wanted to lean into the black swan motif, you could instead have the leotard incorporate feather embroidery or an edge that looks like primary feathers (the stiff ones, not loose like down).
I would also make the stockings a lighter color and make the ribbons on her shoes more obvious and climb higher on her legs. They are an interesting detail that gets lost against the similar color of the tights, which is really a shame, as they tie in nicely to her position as a rhythmic gymnastic specifically, which we can tell she is because her of her dance-like routines and the involvement of the ribbon over elements such as the bar or trampoline. Again, it would also play nicely into a ballet and specifically a swan lake theme. I also don't love the heels but I don't have anything specific in mind to replace them, so they can stay for now.
If you want a really big change, I would go with a color palette overhaul. If you incorporate more blues or pinks over the red, or the violet that's her literally code name, I think it would freshen her up and make her stand out a little more. Maybe you could even lighten her base color to a grey or a very dark purple if you really want to drift from game colors. I'd say go all the way and make the black elements white, but that wouldn't contrast well enough against Maruki's palace enough to stand out and would make her monochromatic in a way equally bad to the monochromatic she is now.
Overall, most of my problems with this outfit stem from the fact that it has so little of her personality (or even Kasumi's) and so much of Joker's for branding reasons, and think that the incorporation of another theme or a change in color palette would really do it some justice. If they had acknowledged that her outfit was modeled after Joker's and tweaked it during her second (true) awakening, I would have been happy with that, but they didn't. I rank her 9th place out of 10 outfits and a score of 2/10 overall.

ELEANORE'S A BLONDE NO MORE! THE HARVELLES ATTEND NEIGHBOURHOOD PARTY IN COSTUME!
It's officially Spooky Fest and that typically means trick or treating and costume parties galore, and The Earl and Countess of Harvelle, with their little darling Lady Ella, were spotted attending one yesterday!
The entire family donned costumes for the neighbourhood bash, with Eleanore dressing up as a popular fairytale princess (complete with a black wig), while her real-life (former) Crown Prince dressed up as... well... Prince Charming. A little on the nose, yes, but it's also kind of adorable, especially if you add little Ella into the mix, who also came as a "princess" complete with a "golden" plastic tiara!
The family of three walked to the party, held a couple of houses down their country home. The party was a fun time for the neighbourhood kids to play, have fun, and indulge in sweets! One source shared:
"It was really for the kids, but the parents had loads of fun, too. There was good food and even greater company. There were about 20 adults and just as many kids. They had a clown and a bouncy house set up, too. There was a face painting booth and a photo booth. Everyone had a blast."
When asked about the Harvelle's attendance, the source further revealed:
"They've become part of the community. They know everyone and everyone knows them, of course. There were no curtseys or formalities - they came as Eleanore and Ibrahim and everyone adores little Ella. That girl is such a sweetheart. I think that's a huge part of why they love it here and they decided to settle here. We leave them be, give them their privacy, but at the same time we've let them know that they're welcome here."
However, not everyone is as "welcoming" to the family's choice of costume. Some commenters online have poked fun at the family's choice of outfits for the soiree. One person wrote:
"This is kinda sad and a lot hilarious. Ibrahim, in particular, should've thought twice about wearing that. This is a man who would've been a KING of a d*mn country. A REAL LIFE KING. And now here he is parading in a §10 costume, looking like a loon. Pathetic."
Another wrote:
"Eleanore's trying really, really hard to stay relevant and remind everyone that she's a princess. Yeah. You were. Once. And now you aren't. Because you were a massive spoiled brat and because you wanted to compete with your sister. But you'll never be Anya. This is so cringe. And the kid... I feel bad for her for being born into that mess of a family. Someone tell Eleanore her kid's no princess coz the queen didn't make her one. I give the whole "marriage" 5 years, tops. Their (sic) both narcissists and you just know that they're getting tired of each others (sic) crap. This is very desperate and so low even for them."
Well, you just can't please everybody, so it seems. For what it's worth, we think Lady Ella looks adorable, and we're 100% convinced every little girl deserves to be treated like a princess - royal or not.
Happy Spooky Fest to the Harvelles! đ

Vesuviella: Part 15
Rehearsals continue even more smoothly than you expected them to. Portia, Asra, and Lucio are well on their way to being a perfectly dysfunctional family. Muriel, bolstered by Nadiaâs tact and gentle coaching, is now capable of projecting his voice across an empty community theatre. Valerius has learned all of his lines and can pretend to tolerate you for more than thirty seconds at a time. Needless to say, Julian is in his element.
Youâre back at the Palace one golden afternoon to meet with Nadia concerning the props and costumes. Julian is busy coaching Asra and Lucio on how to wear Portiaâs cat hair-covered skirts, so he canât attend. The Countess pours you a second cup of tea, settling into the cushions beside you on the veranda overlooking the gardens.
âWell, Charming?â
âHm?â You look over to meet her gaze. Has she been sitting this close to you the whole time?
âCharming. Thatâs your name, isnât it? As your father I doubt I would feel the need to constantly address you as âPrince.ââ
âI guess youâre right, family doesnât call each other by titles." You pause and sip the perfectly brewed blend. "I donât have any to begin with though.â
âPerhaps not, but you are Charming all the same.â She pauses, watching your expression, and then rises from her seat. âCome. We have costumes to approve.â
Thereâs a heap of fabric nearby, as well as a sketchbook of designs and plans in a familiarly elegant script. You rest your fingers next to a carefully detailed sketch of your form, draped in royal robes that look distinctly Prakran. âDid you design these, Nadia?â
She turns back to you, finery dripping from her fingers as she holds out a particularly opulent cape. âOf course. I wouldnât dress you in any less.â Before you can take the garment from her, sheâs stepping in closer and sweeping it around your shoulders. You can feel the backs of her knuckles graze your throat as she fastens it, deftly adjusting the way it falls and drapes around your arms and chest. âWhat do you think, Charming? Is it Princely enough to suit you?â
The mirror nearby gives you the perfect view of your new look, Nadia smiling softly at you over your shoulder. Oddly enough, it's not the design from the sketchbook. âItâs stunning.â
âI could say the same for you, MC.â She laughs and places a crown of glass jewels on your head. âThere will be no doubt among the audience that you are a Prince worthy of a ball in your honor. I expect thereâll be no end to your admirers.â
You flush as she continues to cover you with all manner of spectacular costume pieces. âIâm not actually a Prince, you know.â
She pauses, one of your hands in her own as she fastens a wrist piece. âPerhaps not a Prince, but you could easily be nobility if you desired. It seems you donât realize it, but,â she slowly slides a ring onto your finger, âI know of at least one person with a title whoâd be very happy to share it with you.â
Youâre about to respond when you hear a loud crash and squawk, causing Nadia to drop your hand and you to startle. You barely recognize the indignant white bird that screeches by as Portia trips onto the veranda. Her face flushes and she drops the broom. âIâm so sorry milady, but that idiot bird got out again!â
Nadia steps away from you, serene smile in place. âYou have nothing to apologize for, Portia. I trust youâll see to Camioâs consequences?â You watch as Portia nods and strides into the garden, broom clutched like a spear in one determined hand. Nadia turns to the pile of costumes and lifts a torn brown dress. âMC, could you approve these designs on the doctorâs behalf so I may finalize them?â
You nod and scurry over, placing your jewelry by the sketchbook so the pieces donât get lost.

EAH Dorm Rooms Headcanon pt 12
Hunter & Dexter
What do you get when one roommate is a prince & the other is a huntsman? Two epic roommates!
Hunter & Dexter are the opposite of each other in many ways and I don't just mean the whole Royal/Rebel thing. Dexter is a prince who was brought up in a world of elegance while Hunter was raise to be a hunter (pun not intended for crying out loud his last name is Huntsman) who was brought up to be tough and a hero.
Yet, the two are alike in many ways. Both feel like they can't add up to their families' reputations and both are in love with girls that are not part of their future stories. Which makes them perfect friends since they understand where the other is coming from with high expectations from their families and destinies, they obviously confide in each other.
This is the only time we see the dorm, but it's purple. Dexter's color is blue (as the rest of the Charming siblings) & Hunter's is green, in the same episode Ashlynn's divider was purple too, so it was an animation error.
In the books the Charming family and the Huntsman family have family crests (Dexter's is on his shirt) so a majority of the students have family crest (Faybelle has one and I think Raven also had one in the books).
Hunter's side: As the future huntsman for Red Riding Hood & Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, Hunter is not only a hero but a nature boy. He'll save damsels, cute furry animals, heck he'll save dragons.
Despite being the traditional huntsman, Hunter is in love with a princess and would rather save animals than eat them. Being a Rebel gives Hunter the choice to be himself and to be with Ashlynn.
We alI know Hunter is a nature lover and I can see his side of the dorm resembling a wooden cabin or a woodsy version or Ramona's room. I doubt Hunter's wallpaper is like the one above (looking at it too long gives me a migrane).
On Hunter's divder wall he would have pics of his friends and pets (Pesky and a griffion). After, revealing his relationship with Ashlynn he has pics of her too.
Instead of going to Throne Furnishings Hunter made most of his furniture, thrift shopped, or brought some from home. But being a nature love I doubt he cut down any trees, instead he used fallen trees.
Before Hunter and Ashlynn revealed themselves as a couple they (hopefully) disguised themselves during dates in public places so no one would notice them. Now that everyone knows they're dating Hunter and Ashlynn have closets/wardrobes full of costumes that they still wear for fun.
He totally has a collection of bows & arrows and axes on his wall. As mentioned above about Hunter making his own furniture he makes birdhouses and arrows, so he might have a craft section on his side of the dorm with saws, paints, and hammers and sometimes invited Ashlynn and Cedar over to help design birdhouses and such.
Seeing that Hunter is on the bookball (football) team, cheerleader, archery, and etc. he must have a cast full of trophies.
In the webseries Hunter has a pet squrriel named Pesky and a pet griffon. Given Pesky's size he's one of the few pets that can live in the dorms and acts as Hunter's alarm clock to wake him up.
Hunter practices the flute so he might practice in his dorm like a desk or something (I'm running out of ideas now).
In the books the Huntsman family have family crests and on Hunter's legacy day outfit it appears to have Celtic knots. So, I believe Hunter is half Native American and Irish.
Hunter loves playing video games when he's not doing anything athletic and being roommates with a gamer like Dexter the two play together. Dexter also got Hunter a green camouflage gamer's chair as a gift.
On the balcony Hunter grows veggies he eats & flowers to give Ashlynn. Once, Dexter starts dating Raven, Hunter teaches Dexter how to grow flowers that Raven's magic can't wilt.
Dexter's side: Not only is Dexter a prince charming, he's the (second son) of the main Charming family line. So. he is expected to be strong, brave, and well - charming.
Despite this Dexter is clumsy, shy, and nerdy. But he makes up for that with being smart, crafty, and a big sweetie. Dexter's a Royal so he won't disappoint his family due to his lack of destiny. He's one of the few who is an ally to the Rebel party and tries to be opened minded.
On Dexter's divider wall he would have pics of his siblings and his friends. And when he finally dates Raven pictures of her.
The only time we get to see Dexter's side of the dorm is in 'Class of Classics'. Like his siblings he has a canopy bed and his walls would be a shade of blue since that's the family color. As a glasses wearer I must say putting your glasses on a windowsill is stupid, Dexter! I noticed the little vines on the wall, so Dex lets some of nature takeover his room.
Dexter is a techie so I can see his room having tech equipment. He also a gamer so he has a fancy blue gamer chair (and he brought one for Hunter).
As much as Dex loves tech he loves reading from books. When hes not on his mirrorphone, mirrorpad, or etc. he's reading a book with Mr. Cottonhorn. Dexter has a huge bookshelf with books on the topics of: comic books, tech, poetry, and romance novels.
Despite being a tech nerd Dexter seems to have other interest besides that such as being on the bookball (football) team. He also seems to juggle, which I doubt he learned to do at home. Dexter has a knack for knitting & crocheting after finding the Crochet Hook of (Great) Aunt Arachne (More lore headcanons later). So, he knits and crochets in his dorm and Hunter supports him on it and he gives sweaters and stuff to his friends.
On the balcony that he and Hunter share, Hunter teaches Dexter how to grow flowers that Raven's magic can't wilt.
Dexter owns a jackalope by the name of Mr. Cottonhorn. Giving Mr. Cottonhorn's size he's one of the few pets that can stay in the dorm. I can see him and Pesky causing mischief.

Costume Cdramas I watched in 2023
This was my first year in Dramaland (both Chinese and Korean). And I have to say that for the most part I have enjoyed my journey in discovering the dramas. This list includes dramas that were released before 2023 as well.
7. Starry Love
It is a story of twin sisters - the gentle and kind Liguang Qing Kui and the smart and cunning Liguang Ye Tan. Qing Kui is betrothed to the heveanly prince and Ye Tan is betrothed to the demon prince however mistakenly they switch places and have to navigate the heavenly realm and demon realm alone relying on their wits. For me the strongest aspect of the drama was the bond between the sisters. It focuses more on the romance of Ye Tan and Xuan Shang and the heavenly realm which I was not much interested in so I skipped through a lot of it. However, I did enjoy the romance of Qing Kui and Chao Feng and the demon realm story which was unfortunately not given enough screen time. As the heavenly realm part of the drama failed to get me invested in both its characters and story, I didn't enjoy this drama a lot.
6. Love you Seven Times
Xiang Yun, a fairy working in the marriage pavilion and Chu Kong, the God of War are accidentally entangled by the red thread of fate and go through love tribulations. I enjoyed their romance and the story was also good. However, I feel it would have turned out better if the drama had more episodes so that the tribulations could be more immersive and impactful. Also, it had less action than I expected from a Xianxia. It was still a fun watch for me.
5. Ancient Love Poetry
This is an epic story of gods and love spanning thousands of years. I will not even attempt to give a primer for its story. The romance, story, action everything is great and it also has really good secondary romances and friendships are also good. The problem I had with this drama is that I enjoyed the first God realm arc a lot however in the second arc I couldn't get fully invested in Houchi and Qing Mu. Also, as a novice to xianxias I had some trouble following the story from the second arc onwards which meant I couldn't enjoy it as much. I still consider it a must watch for xianxia fans but its not for newbies that's for sure.
P.S.- I was devastated with Yue Mi's death so I'm happy that we'll be getting the continuation of her story with Moonlight Mystique.
4. Love between Fairy and Devil
It is a drama about Orchid, a low ranking fairy and Dongfang Qing Cang, the Moon Supreme of the Moon Tribe who are enemies of the immortal fairies, and their forbidden romance. The romance (of both the main and second couple) is really good, the story is compelling and the dynamic between the main and secondary cast is enjoyable. I found the action somewhat lacking. This is a really enjoyable drama especially for those getting into xianxias as the story while not simple, is easy to follow.
3. Romance between Tiger and Rose
In this drama, Chen Xiao Qian, a screenwriter transported into her own story, becoming the Third Princess Chen Qian Qian, a side character. Armed with the knowledge of her own script in which her character is soon to be killed in the third episode by Prince Han Shuo, the male lead, Xiao Qian is determined to stay alive and return to her own world. It is an excellent romcom with great chemistry and fun bickering between the main leads. While the story is straight forward for the most part, it does offer some commentary on gender discrimination and gender norms. It is a really fun and a must watch and has great rewatch value.
2. Story of Kunning Palace
Jiang Xuening is the selfish and ambitious daughter of a court official who ruthlessly uses her charm and cunning for becoming empress. Her schemes lead to the downfall of the royal family and the ruin of both her childhood sweetheart Yan Lin and the once incorruptible Zhang Zhe. Desperate and full of regret, she pleads to exchange her life for the freedom of Zhang Zhe. She awakens in her 18-year old self, who has yet to enter the palace with a chance to do better this time. Even though she vows to steer clear of the palace and its court intrigues, she becomes entangled in them anyways. Apart from Jiang Xue Ning the main cast includes : Xie Wei - JXN's teacher and a ruthless political mastermind, Zhang Zhe - an upright and dedicated officer in the Ministry of Justice, Yan Lin - loyal heir of the Yan family who is in love with JXN, Shen Zhi Yi - the optimistic and resilient princess. Itâs so rare for a drama to combine so many great things - a competent and smart female lead, gripping script, top tier looks, chemistry (with the male lead and the secondary leads), steady pace, no childishness, very happy ending. All the actors did an amazing job, in particular Bai Lu who embodied JXN and depicted her thoughts and feelings in a way that the audience could connect with JXN and root for her. The character arcs for the entire main cast were satisfying and done beautifully. I only wished that they showed the past life in one go and with some more scenes for JXN's character growth to be more impactful and that they removed the bright spotlight aimed directly at the camera which took me out of those scenes. This is definitely a must watch for costumed cdrama lovers.
1. Till the end of the moon
Li Susu, an immortal time travels 500 years into the past to prevent the ascension of the Devil god, who goes on to destroy the world in the future. It's a story of love and hate, good and evil, redemption and damnation. The characters are very well conceptualized and depicted beautifully by talented actors, stunning costumes, really good hair and makeup, and great cinematography. The amazing production and set design along with impressive visual effects and CGI really immerse the audience in the world of TTEOTM. Their romance is my ultimate enemies to lovers pairing. It has just the right amount of fighting, messiness, animosity and angst for me. Their visuals, their chemistry, their acting and the story everything was so great. Who else has three epic weddings in one drama? For the most part the story was gripping, progressed at a good pace and conveyed many themes that become apparent on rewatches. While some were disappointed by the ending to me it was clear that they reunite once again and live happily. I am still not able to move on from this couple and drama.
Full Review of Till the end of the moon here.

As I'm still a newbie to cdramas, I welcome your recommendations.
