Today's Word With Joel and Victoria Osteen - Grace Comes
Today’s Scripture Romans 3:24, NIV  …and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.  Today’s Word If anyone understood the meaning of the grace of God, it was the Apostle Paul. Even though he was the biggest enemy of the early church, Paul says “the grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly” with forgiveness and a call into God’s service.…

Stricklake Month week 3 : Sunlight/Moonlight
Or...
SunGoddess!Barbara & MoonGod!Walter
Tumblr media
You all don't believe how I lost my sanity while drawing that. It is my most detailed work and the longest I ever took to draw. Over 12 hours.
Anyways...
Barbara is the sun goddess, bringing light into the world. Walter it the moon god and brings darkness over the world. Two individuals that are considered too different to get along, however, unbeknown to yearn for each other.
Their outfits are inspired by Gods in all kinds of mythology and obviously my own touch. Both wear a headband-like crown with a moon/sun. They are obviously themed in their colors, however, their eyes are supposed to represent each other. Walter’s eyes grow in a bright yellow while hers show a soft blue. (Obviously it is from canon, tho I thought it was a nice addition to make)
I can't say much about the AU beside the fact that I LOVE IT. My writing explains the World building much better...sooo
Link for my fanfiction for Sunlight/Moonlight

Justified Freely by Grace
24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. 25 Him God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 to declare, I say, at this time, His righteousness: that He might be just, and the justifier of him that believeth in Jesus. — Romans 3:24-26 | Third Millennium Bible (TMB) Third Millennium Bible, New Authorized Version, Copyright 1998 by Deuel Enterprises, Inc. Mark 12:29-31
New International Version
²⁹ “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. ³⁰ Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ ³¹ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
Matthew 5:43-48
New International Version
Love for Enemies
⁴³ “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ ⁴⁴ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, ⁴⁵ that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. ⁴⁶ If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? ⁴⁷ And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? ⁴⁸ Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Romans 3:23-24
New International Version
²³ for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ²⁴ and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” —1 Thessalonians 5:16
“In all circumstances part 1: trust in God's character” By Antique Candle Co.:
“Why is it that we most often seek the Lord during the valleys of life? We know from His Word that He wants us to seek Him in every season. During the peaks, with moments of great joy and celebration; during the valleys, in times of worry and uncertainty. Not only does He desire His children to seek Him out, but He calls us to be faithful in all circumstances.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding...” —Proverbs 3:5
Trusting in the Lord's character allows us to find hope in every situation. It's not just about trusting God to get us through the difficult moments, but fully trusting in who He is, which extends to every moment of life.
So what is God's character? Many things. God cannot be compared to anything else in all creation. He created all things. Therefore, there are some attributes of Christ we can and cannot understand. We can't understand being 'unchanging' or 'all-knowing' ourselves because, as we are finite beings, we are neither. However, His Word tells us these truths about Him so that we may trust the characteristics that are unique to God alone. We can see and acknowledge the truth of His character in the Word and in our own lives.
GOD IS UNCHANGING:
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” —Hebrews 13:8
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” —James 1:17
GOD IS FAITHFUL:
“...if we are faithless, he remains faithful—for he cannot deny himself.” —2 Timothy 2:13
“The Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever and his faithfulness to all generations.” —Psalm 100:5
GOD IS ALL-KNOWING:
“He who planted the ear, does he not hear? He who formed the eye, does he not see? He who disciplines the nations, does he not rebuke? He who teaches man knowledge—the Lord—knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath.” —Psalm 94:9
GOD IS SOVEREIGN:
“For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.” —Romans 11:36
“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight.” —Ephesians 1:7-8
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” —Romans 8:28
“And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” —Matthew 24:14
Place your trust in a God who is unchanging, faithful, all-knowing, sovereign, and so much more. In all circumstances, His character is something that will never fail.”

ROMANS S.O.A.P. ~ CHAPTER 3
Thursday, 12/5/24
SCRIPTURE:
God’s righteousness comes through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ for all who have faith in Him.  There’s no distinction. All have sinned and fall short of God’s glory, but all are treated as righteous freely by His grace because of a ransom that was paid by Christ Jesus.  ~ Romans 3:22-24
OBSERVATION:
Because Jesus...
"God's righteousness comes through the faithfulness of Jesus
...for all who have faith in Him...
...despite all of us - including and especially me - having sinned and fallen short...
He still treats us - me (?!?) - as righteous...
...for free...
...by His grace...
...because Christ Jesus...
APPLICATION:
Live in His righteousness...
Live in His grace...
Live in His freedom...
Live in faith...
Live in Him!
PRAYER:
Father of grace and mercy - You know, better than even I do, my sinfulness and selfishness... Thank You for Your forgiveness and for treating me as one of Yours, for Your Son, for Your Holy Spirit, for Your Word... May I give You first thought and submit my willfulness to Your will - In Jesus's Name, so that You get the glory and honor...
Yours - by His grace...
