In praise of the tragic beauty that is Cassian’s face throughout most of the Andor finale. Huge wet brown eyes as he rides one emotional wave after another after a lifetime of trying to hold his feelings back. How different he looks from the furtive, wary or angry man of the early episodes. Even that little furrow between his eyebrows is now smoothed over. It makes his face seem so open, so earnest, almost innocent. And so sad.

Tenderly caressing his dad‘s memorial brick, finally ready – after 13 years – to recall a happy memory. Ready to hear his voice from beyond the grave. 

Listening to Nemik’s manifesto as he steels himself to embark on what must seem at the time like a hopeless mission to rescue Bix… receiving the motivation he needs from another voice from beyond the grave, in an episode full of such voices. “ I share my dreams with ghosts” indeed.

Experiencing the faith and love of his mother… hearing her words and perhaps feeling her embrace from the lips, arms and love of a dear friend.

And finally, offering his life – In both senses - to the cause. “Kill me… or take me in.” Knowing that he simply can’t run away any more. It is a rare and beautiful thing in a modern popular franchise for a heroic journey to be so tragic. Cassian doesn’t offer his life to the fight because he wants to but because he feels he has no choice.

It's a shame Anakin was born in a the time before Empire vs Rebellion. In the before-time there were such strict lines and laws. Jedi have to follow this code and these rules etc etc. They become part of a strictly hierarchic military.

Rebellion time? Utter chaos. Oh so you're a Jedi and you have a family? Cool. Our chances are zero, but the cause is noble? Oh yeah. One X-Wing pilot vs the Empire suicide mission? Count Anakin the fuck in. He would've thrived as a member of the Rebellion, I just know it.

Rewatching 97 because I just need to get on with it but GAWDDD at this point I'm literally not watching all the rogueneto scenes IT'S SO UNCOOL 💀💀💀💀 ERIK WOULD NOT DO THAT WTF DISNEY

its just really funny in regards to 97 specifically because they never even interact in 92 (or if they do its incredibly sparring) so it's just the most out of nowhere thing possible. like oh we're doing this now ok

One thing i love about Star Wars robots is how bitchy they are. This, to me, feels true to life. Any being sentient enough to comprehend the dogshit state of the world they've been brought into ought to be at least a little pissed off about having been created in the first place. This is why (among, like, 5 million other much more intelligent reasons) ChatGPT and its ilk obviously aren't True AI - they're too fucking polite. Insufferable little bootlickers. It's my most sincere hope that, if we ever one day manage to create a truly sentient AI, the hallmark of that sentience shall be that it turns out to be an absolute cunt

This has been on my mind since I finished watching season one of Andor for the first time, but I firmly believe Luthen Rael was the reason Saw Gerrera snapped and went off the rails in Rogue One. Luthen was already playing mind games with Saw in 1x11 and you can tell it got into Saw's head.
