Ironhide, Ironhide, Ironhide. It's the Ironhide Height Chart, everyone! Ironhide did not show up as much as I thought he would, Ratchet too. There's only like 8 universes where he shows up (in a meaningful way).
Quick Disclaimer, if any of the images look weird, it's because I had to stitch a few separate images together to create a full body shot of the character. And Yes, I am aware the TFO ones look stupid, these characters show up in background shots or for like 3 seconds tops. I didn't have anything else.
Here are links to my Bumblebee Chart, my Optimus Chart, my Megatron Chart, my Shockwave Chart, and my Ratchet Chart. For future reference, all these charts will be filed under my "Transformers Height Charts" tag and my "aka the adventures of a..." tag.
Master Post
Explanations and Sources below the cut.
RID 2001 - ~13 feet (TFWiki, lucky me, this one was easy)
Unicron Trilogy Energon - ~13 feet (No source, I got this number by assuming Optimus's height between Energon and Cybertron was the same and then comparing Ironhide to Optimus. For the uneducated, the Unicron Trilogy has given each of its 3 seasons separate names and 3 separate art styles.)
Gen 1 - ~16 feet (TFWiki, No additional comments)
WFCT - ~16 feet (No Source, but this design is identical to Gen 1 so who am I to complicate things.)
One V1 - ~16 feet (Pre-cog.*deep breath* Okay, so this movie doesn't have any actual numbers, aside for some bullshit ones from a Walmart Promotional. I've been using the Knightverse Optimus number as a baseline since these were at one point said to be vaugly canon to each other. And the Bumblebee-Optimus scaling is the same. I got this number by comparing Ironhide to Optimus. Idk man, this movie has made me develop a twitch.)
Animated - (Animated has no actual numbers, but the lovely @phoenix-inanis has provided a frankly astounding resource with their own calculations for the heights of all the TFA characters. Go look at it, it's wonderful -> https://phoenix-inanis.notion.site/TFA-Height-Chart-f6ad2960ca8c4c5b859ee4958723aaa4?pvs=4.)
One V2 - ~18 feet (Post-cog. Again, no numbers, plus I can't actually find a full body picture of this form. My method of "knocking off or adding two feet" has been pretty accurate so far (I got Bumblebee right), so I'm just going to keep doing it. God, my head hurts...)
Bayverse V1 - 22 feet (TFWiki, mr bay is my favorite he gives me heights for free)
Bayverse V2 - 24 feet (TFWIki, yes, for some reason, Ironhide just grew a few feet in between the second and third movies. This happens a lot)
Aligned Cont. WF/FOC - ~25 feet (So, I had nothing, and I had to look into the trailers for the game to get fucking anything. I was able to get a comparison between him and Optimus, and I was able to guestimate, but it was not perfect, and I probably need to actually play the games to get a better comparison. Also, once more, ALC coming in with the steel chair and snatching first place for being freakishly tall. why does this keep happening?)
Front and back layers separated for your viewing.

MATCHBOTS!
So for August's Patreon-backed @tfwiki picture update, I thought I'd follow up on the Generation 2 vibe from last month (and with the release of the G2-heavy Toxitron Collection) and (almost) complete the run of Go-Bot mold toys! Introduced in 1995, these little 1:64-scale bots were made to be compatible with Matchbox and Hot Wheels tracks and playsets, and this mold-set would be redecoed a LOT over the following decade. Motormouth above, for example, first caem with transparent robot bits, but the second-wave release was entirely opaque.
Tumblr media
Fellow second-waver OPTIMUS PRIME is mostly just an opaque version of wave 1's clear-red Firecracker, but with some extra blue paint on the helmet to make him Optimussier.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wave 3 was all classic G1 bots in strange new decos. Say hi to BUMBLEBEE, FRENZY, IRONHIDE and MIRAGE (the decos were probably picked before the names were).
Tumblr media
Wave 3 SOUNDWAVE is infamous for his bright deco. But what's with that Takara version, with Wave-2 opaque Gearhead's robot parts? Well, that's because the Takara release was gang-molded with...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...the Takara-release MEGATRON and OPTIMUS PRIME, the only three Go-Bots released in Japan. Basically, all 6 Go-Bots are cast from the same set of molds, so if you change one plastic color on any of the 6, you're changing the color for several others in the set. As demonstrated here...
Tumblr media
See the pattern? Bear in mind that the rightmost bots have green and gold paint on their car panels, the underlying plastic is black.
These molds would be re-used as the "Spychangers" for 2000's Takara series Car Robots, which got imported as Robots in Disguise in 2001, and I'm not going into all of THOSE here. But there's a lot (the top row on the above pic is just the start!), and I'm focusing on the new pics, so moving on...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Late in the 2003 Universe line, a new batch of G1 characters in Spychanger form were released as KB Toys exclusives, using a set of molds originally planned for G2 but ultimately not released until RiD, like SILVERSTREAK on the left, and new molds made specifically for RiD, like OPTIMUS PRIME here.
Tumblr media
The very last release of a Go-Bot/Spychanger style mold came in late 2007, when Takara offered a free "OPTIMUS PRIME FIGURE" with the preorder of the 2007 Transformers movie on DVD/HD-DVD through Paramount Pictures Japan. This little sucker is extensively painted, let me tell you.
And with this, I've taken wiki pics of 76 out of the 88 "finished" Go-Bots/Spychanger toys! Only 12 rare/unreleased items left! Whoadang! ALSO… I've now made over 2500 toy pics for the wiki, many of which are multi-toy pics! Jambalaya, that's a lotta bots!
Tumblr media
If you like what I do here and want to get me to a total of 3000 pics faster, I do have a Patreon! You can help get more and more pics out every month, and even pick a theme!

[Jaws pun]
Chaps, we ought to talk about the forgotten. The ones left behind. Those Transformers who made their name not as part of one of the kerzillions of G1 permutations, but from other lines. Those that can stand their ground as part of a CHUG collection, but have no significant presence within G1. Yesterday’s Barricade had started from the Bayverse and been officially imported via Siege. This week we'll look at a few more Decepticons with varying amounts of canonicity.
Tumblr media
I mean, I absolutely hate the idea of using canon as a rigidly defined gospel anyway (ugh, mixing my theological metaphors). Do what you like, you don't need the word of a Hasbro employee to make your collection choices more or less legitimate. Case in point: Sky-Byte. Sure, he was brought into the IDW universe partway through, which technically makes him canon, but come on. His comic appearances mostly coincided with his Thrilling 30 toy's presence on shop shelves, and the moment they vanished, so did he, outside of a few scant cameos.
Far more importantly, Sky-Byte was pretty much the most memorable of the 2001 Robots in Disguise cartoon, mostly by virtue of being one of only a few genuinely original characters in the whole thing. Sideburn was Cheetor, X-Brawn was Ironhide, you know the drill. But an insecure warrior poet on the villain team was something new, so older fans who were finding the show otherwise snoozeworthy in how utterly bland and familiar it all was could perk up whenever Sky-Byte came on screen.
Let's be honest, RID was not a good show. Most of the criticisms of the following year's Armada cartoon could be laid at RID's feet as well. It's usually more fondly remembered though, which is probably due to the way that Armada's huge launch (a massive reboot of the franchise as a whole) was heavily hyped, and the resulting dreary mess of an anime was a huge letdown. Conversely, RID had relatively little hype, and with expectations still low after the poor reception of Beast Machines, RID could just sail through on a cloud of indifference.
Still, Sky-Byte just about earns his place as breakout character, being a huge pileup of weirdness wrapped in a suspiciously fishy shell. His original toy was a redeco of the Beast Wars Transmetal 2 character Cybershark, and by all accounts it's a toy which still more or less stands up these days. But simply rereleasing an old toy would look suspiciously lazy, so a new T30 toy was designed. All well and good, and all they had to do was find a way to improve on that 15 year-old design. And...
...and that's the problem. While T30 Sky-Byte is a decent enough toy, it needed to blow its predecessor clean out of the water to make it's own mark, but it really struggles in that regard. There's just too many ways to criticise it, most notably the utterly lacklustre robot limbs. It's easy to see the problem, and how the design tried to solve it. Like with a number of Prime toys, Sky-Byte tries to minimise his shellformer nature by folding kibble up into the limbs... but it never really works. The right bicep and both shins reveal an absolute lack of substance within, the kibble forming armour plating on top of nothing whatsoever. The right hand is particularly poor, unable to properly hold any 5mm accessories and showing up the fact that the elbow is orientated wrong, curving inward rather than upward. Great for shaking your fist at the sky or calling Scourge a wanker, but rubbish for everything else.
He makes much more sense in shark mode, but best of luck getting him there. The transformation is a right faff, not quite to the level of Straxus, but not far off. Unsurprisingly it essentially involves wrapping the shark bits around the remaining shards of robot skeleton, but the finished effect is something of a looker. But the problem here is that Sky-Byte's permanently fused into an arcing pose, as if leaping out of the water to grab some poor sod out of the air or something. Put him flat on a surface then, and it looses all that dynamism, and just looks a bit naff. What you need is a 3mm figure stand to plug up the tiny shark bumhole and show off his mighty leap. So I did, only to have the end of the stand break off inside said bumhole and become permanently lodged in there. With no way of pushing it out from the other side it got stuck in a vaccuum, which is a problem I know the designers are aware of because every other joint on every other toy since 1995 has had slits and holes to let air through when disconnecting them.
So to recap: the one and only Transformer to specifically require a flight stand does not come with one, and is in serious danger of breaking such a stand if you try and use it. That really isn't okay.
Again, this is not an upgrade from the 2001 toy. It is at best a side-step, replacing one fun but flawed toy with an entirely different fun and flawed toy. But at least the old one didn't have a bumhole that ate everything it came into contact with.

My siblings in Primus, holy fucking shit. I made an Optimus Height Chart. This took me.. SO LONG TO DO. Were y'all aware of how many Optimus designs there are?? Because I don't have all of them on this chart, and I still have TWENTY NINE (29, a 2 and a 9) out of the THIRTY SIX (36, a 3 and a 6) that exist. I didn't include the SEVEN (7) because either they were just a temporary upgraded form, or I already had multiple designs from that universe that were the same height and having all of them is redundant and repetitive.
40 fucking years and nearly as many distinct designs, I deserve a medal, honestly. Optimus has been in every single piece of media the Transformers franchise has ever made. Working on this in tandem with the Megatron one was a wild choice of mine, but I did it.
I included Optimus Primal on this chart. Both are named Optimus, I should not have to explain myself. Big Monkey and Big Truck are the same. No, your honour, I do not plead insanity; why do you ask?
Quick Disclaimer, if any of the images look weird, it's because I had to stitch a few separate images together to create a full body shot of the character.
Links to my Bumblebee Chart and my Megatron Chart. !!NEW!! -> Shockwave, Soundwave, Ratchet, and Ironhide. For future reference, all these charts will be filed under my "Transformers Height Charts" tag and my "aka the adventures of a..." tag. Hopefully, my bumblebee post is acting up and idk if the same issue will happen here.
Master Post
Explanations below the cut because I have fucking WORDS to say. This is gonna be a long one... 29 separate designs...
G1 Beast Wars V1 - ~9 Feet (Primal. Straight from TFWiki, converted to feet and rounded, the tiniest baby man gorilla)
G1 Beast Machines - ~8 Feet (Primal. The wiki failed me, but I found a old forum discussion where they made a chart comparing all the BW/M characters. Glorious stuff, I commend their effort.)
G1 Beast Wars V2 - ~10 Feet (Primal. TFWiki with the clutch, I will not always be this lucky.)
Earth Spark - ~15 Feet (Prime. No official numbers have been given, but I have already figured out how tall Bee is, and I was able to compare the two and get a good estimate. This is the shortest non-animal universe to date holy shit. Look at this, I'm showing my work
Tumblr media
I am having a conniption they are so short)
RID 2001 - ~16 Feet (Prime. TFWiki once more, we love one source for everything)
Unicron Trilogy V2&3/ENG&CYB - ~16 Feet (Prime. For the uneducated, the Unicron Trilogy has given each of its 3 seasons separate names and 3 separate art styles. These are the designs used in Energon (S2) and Cybertron (S3). The Wiki had Cybertron's numbers but not Energon's, so for my own sanity, I decided the two were the same height. I could have done something in between Cybertron's and Armada's (S1) numbers, but there was a lot of float between the two)
G1 Beast Wars V3 - ~16 Feet (Primal/Optimal Optimus, this is the result of a fusion between Primal and Prime. The TFWiki says this design is like 40 feet tall, but if that is true, Rattrap, a character stated to be 1.8m or ~6f tall across several sources across several different languages, is actually not that tall. So I call bullshit, this guy is 2.6 Rattraps tall, making him around 16f or 4.9m tall. Checkmate, I win)
Prime Wars V1 - ~17 Feet (Primal. Slight spoilers for further into this chart but I decided that the Prime Wars Trilogy and the Netflix Cybertron Trilogy Optimuses were the same height as the Gen 1 design, because they're nearly identical. So comparing Primal to Prime, Primal comes up to about Prime's tits, bada bing bada boom)
Netflix Cybertron Trilogy - ~17 Feet (Primal. Identical explanation to above, don't want to repeat myself)
One V1 - ~17 Feet 10 inches (Prime. Okay, the Wiki says 32.534 feet, and I call Bullshit. A: These numbers are sourced from the Walmart Promotional AR Experience that came out before the movie. B: There are three decimal points, and that number does not convert into a whole number in meters (which is originally what I thought was weird about it). C: The director has said that this movie is both canon to the LA movies and its own separate canon. I already stated all of this in my Bumblebee chart post, and I will be dying on this hill. This is as short as we see OP in the movie, him at his tallest should match his KCV height, he's never taller than Megsy, so knock a couple feet off the biggest number and voila, my brain hurts)
One V2 - ~18 Feet 10 Inches (Prime. Same explanation as above, but taller than he was without his cog, because he got bigger)
Gen 1 - ~19 Feet (Prime. TFWiki has saved me the effort of figuring it out myself)
Prime Wars - ~19 Feet (Prime. As I said before, since this design is identical to Gen 1, it is the same height)
Netflix Cybertron Trilogy - ~19 Feet (Prime. I've said it twice now, identical, therefore same height)
Knight/Capel-Verse - ~19 Feet 4 inches (Primal. No Robot height given, I have his monkey form height from TFWiki, but comparing him to Optimus he's only a few inches shorter)
Prime Wars V2 - ~ 20 Feet (Primal. Compared to Prime, Prime comes up to about Primal's nose area, and we all know how tall I think this Prime is)
Animated - 20 Feet 6 Inches (Prime. This number actually comes from @phoenix-inanis and the glorious calculations they have done on the TFA Characters. Go check it out, because animated has literally no actual numbers -> https://phoenix-inanis.notion.site/TFA-Height-Chart-f6ad2960ca8c4c5b859ee4958723aaa4?pvs=4)
Knight/Capel-Verse - 20 feet 10 Inches (Prime. TFWiki has graced me with a number)
One V3 - ~20 Feet 10 Inches (Prime. If it's canon to KCV, then it's canon here. I've already told you my reasons)
Cyberverse - 21 Feet (Prime. Oh, shitty screenshot from a random Russian YouTube video; you treat me so well. I would adore a better scan of this if anyone has one)
Unicron Trilogy V1/ARM - 22 Feet 11 Inches (Prime. Technically, this number is for the Armada video game, which isn't exactly canon to the show. But I don't have any other numbers and my brain is tired, so CANON IT IS)
Aligned Cont. RID15 V1 - 25 Feet (Prime. I'm really proud of this one: I can already hear some of your questions. "But I thought his second form was as tall as his TFP V2 form, and this one was as tall as TFP V1," "but his V1 forms and V2 forms look like each other," You thought Wrong!! And I can Prove it!! Let's refresh ourselves on the height difference between TFP V1 Prime and Bee.
Tumblr media
As we can see, Bee comes up to the top of Optimus's hips. Lovely. Now, let's look at RID15's height difference when Optimus first returns. Keep in mind that RID15 Bee and TFP Bee are the same height.
Tumblr media
Look, Bee comes up to Optimus's chest in this form, not his hips. He comes up to a similar point on Bulkhead in the previous picture. Let's look at Prime's second form.
Tumblr media
This is from the intro; yes, Bee is crouched, but look, if he stood straight he only comes up to about Prime's hips, JUST LIKE IN TFP!!! With this evidence, we can conclude that Prime's first RID15 form is similar in height to Bulkhead! I was so fucking excited to show y'all this, I was so proud of myself, I still am)
Bayverse V1 - 28 Feet (Prime. From the first 4 movies. Straight from TFWiki, because Mr. Michael Bay loves me)
Bayverse V2 - 29 Feet (Prime. Only in The Last Knight. Mr. Bay has lovingly kissed my forehead because he always gives me numbers for his movies)
Aligned Cont. WF/FOC/TFP V1/RID15 V2 - 30 Feet (Prime. TFWiki/Fandom/Me respectively. I love you, Video Game Info Screens. I am still pretty syced about figuring RID15 out, oh I feel so good. Almost makes me forget about how FREAKISHLY HUGE this universe is. And how the games concretely prove this fact)
Aligned Cont. TFP V2 - 35 Feet (Prime. Yes this number comes from Fandom, but this entire universe is monstrously huge for no reason, I believe it. Go look at my Bee chart for more in-depth and insane rant about how huge this universe is compared to other universes, it's at the end of the post)
Not Pictured: Aligned Cont. Rescue Bots and Rescue Bots Academy Optimus Prime - 30 Feet. (Yes, Optimus in the Aligned Continuity has 7 distinct designs across the whole thing. I am in physical pain. SEVEN?? ONE GUY?? SEVEN??), Bayverse Optimus Prime Power Up - 40 Feet. (It's an upgrade form that does not stick around, why should I include it), RID 2001 Super Mode - ~21 feet (Optimus can turn it on and off at will, it's just an upgrade mode), Unicron Trilogy Energon & Cybertron Optimus Prime Super Mode - ~20 Feet (Once more, upgrade mode, it's like stilts, you don't count something you don't always have on.)
29 pngs, holy shit I've done it. This took so long. If anyone has any suggestions for which transformer I should aggressively analyze next please tell me I don't know which ones to do next.
Here are the different layers separated, just so you can see all the many Optimuses (Optimusi?) clearly. I know my og chart is crowded, there's 29 pngs on there you don't think I noticed?

Let us know lil bit of your goblin. Info. Also, your fave bots.
Ah yes, you wish to know about Gröb
Tumblr media
So obviously they are my sona for online stuff, but they have a little history behind them.
And it's a dumb one.
I used to do minecraft YouTube videos, and my old account was GoblinMonarch. Why Goblin Monarch? Because the one session of DnD I attended I created a goblin character who had no idea who they were and needed the party's protection. Turns out they were royalty among the goblins and yeah, basically Anastasia but green. The YouTube account wouldn't go anywhere, really, but Gröb would remain. Over time, I would add my actual features to it (the shaved sides, blue/green hair, piercings, ect), and now Gröb and I are one in the same.
I usually draw Gröb without other accessories aside from the piercings, hand bandages (homage to the DnD look), and what have you, but as of late I've added my wheelchair and rollator to them whenever Gröb is standing or you see their full body.
As for my favorite bots that would depend on the series.
For TFP it has to be Ratchet (although I love almost every rendition of this milf lol)
Tfa has to be either Prowl, the Jet Twins, or my beloved twink Optimus
Armada has to be Starscream because his personality in this series is *chef's kiss*
G1 is a tie between Skyfire and Skylynx
Beastwars/beastmachines would have to be either Ratrap, Inferno, or Dinobot
MTMTE is SO HARD to choose but I think Whirl is in the highest spot right now
RID 2015 is Grimlock (I actually love this goofy ass version of the dinobot because I like big dumb cuties)
RID 2001 has to be Sideswipe and his obsession with red sports cars
Energon is definitely Ironhide because I wanna squish his face
Cyberverse is a hard tie between Soundwave and Hot Rod
Aaaaaand what little I know of Reascue Bots would have to be Blades
[Questions? Intrusive thoughts? Drop em in my ask box!]

I’ll tell you:
The first character I first fell in love with: Grimlock (every version except RID 2001)
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Shockwave (all versions)
The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Starscream (He's good, but not nearly as great as everyone says he is)
The character I love that everyone else hates: Can't really say... because I hate who everyone else hates (i.e. Wheelie, Energon Ironhide, Kicker, etc.)
The character I used to love but don’t any longer: Starscream
The character I would totally smooch: Don't have one.
The character I’d want to be like: Grimlock
The character I’d slap: Starscream (except Armada)
A pairing that I love: Don't really do shipping for TFs
A pairing that I despise: Megatron/Starscream
