I was a big Fake News RPS fan back in the day and your posts about it sent me down memory lane! I remembered making a huge compilation of "gay moments" back then and was able to find it again, if you want to waste 30 minutes watching TDS & TCR episodes from the early 2000s. twilight(.)fourhobbits(.)net/tdstcrgay_1100(.)avi
Thank you for sending this. I mean this from the bottom of my heart when I say I miss the old internet where people had cool sites like this to compile clips and just stuff they like. Rip cool old internet. I’m having trouble viewing or downloading this on my phone but linking the whole site here to come back to when I’m on my laptop: http://twilight.fourhobbits.net/filelist.html

Confession: a lot of your anons, and you, are saying exactly what I’m thinking. I think Z unfollowing everyone threw newbies and younger fans for a loop. She’s been saying for a while that social media makes her anxious. I think the strike and postponement of her movies allowed her to see what life is like when she isn’t constantly working. She and Tom were able to continue building their lives together. They decorated their homes. They spent quality time with their families on different continents. Z was able to live without having to post on socials and I think she maybe realized how much she enjoyed being offline. She’s not about to get rid of Instagram, but unfollowing everyone is a way to make going online to post a quick pic about work easier. There are a lot of fans who feel entitled to her life, and messaging her, Darnell, and her family intrusive things. Once Challengers is released, I can see that immature people will flock to the comments, just like they did after a certain scene in TCR.
Z didn’t post about her quick trip to Brazil to attend the con with her Dune cast mates. She did not post the trailer or any of the other BTS clips that were released. She’s really taking a step back (but will be posting about it once her press tour starts). I think she’s largely done using social media for anything other than work. It drives me crazy when people automatically assume that clearing her following is solely about Tom because the signs of her wanting to be less active have been there. Z wants to protect her peace. Her relationship is part of that, but I don’t think that’s the only factor.
It also drives me crazy that some “fans” keep insisting or hoping that a break up happened. The man literally caught on film and emphatically denied a break up. A day afterwards (just last week!), Tom needed no prompting to mention Z in an interview. People just need to let them be and remember that they’ve never been the couple to be caught out and about every week at some hot spot. They genuinely enjoy their privacy.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. 😜 Sorry for the essay. 😅
Thanks for your confession Anon 😅
Although, I will say, I don't think it needed a confession tag since I think most people would agree with you post lol. But anyway, I completely agree 100% with what you just said here. Everything you stated is exactly how I feel as well. I also think fans freaking out about her removing who SHE follows is dumb. Now, if she went and blocked everyone and went PRIVATE, then I would be like: "Oh snap!!!!!!!!!" That would be totally different lol.😅 I don't even know if she would be allowed to do that tbh lol. I think she realized what is more important. And there are plenty of celebrities who don't like social media, and who don't even have social media, and they are doing JUST fine lol.
RE: Breakup rumors... I wish fans would use more common sense smh... 🤦🏾♀️ Why on earth would they break up right after they JUST spent the holidays together in London with Tom and his family? 🙄
Second, like you said... Tom emphatically denied any breakup rumors.
Third, as you mentioned, he mentioned her unprompted on the red carpet of the CCA's just last week! At this point, I'm just assuming that people who think they've broken up every 2 seconds are either super naive, or are just engaging in wishful thinking. 🙄

Last thing. My view on the play is from people who have seen the play not just for Tom. That's where the tone of negativity you're getting may be coming from. I don't really have any personal opinions on the show aside from what I know of the staging choices. And I don't really care about that if the acting is good (which I can't see for myself). Put them in space suits for all I care. I'm not a purist, but it seems a lot of people are. LOL
Theater fans apparently have had issues brewing with Jamie's style and his habit of style over substance for years. I vaguely remember similar complaints on the play he did with Kit Harrington. Add to that that Shakespeare has been difficult for a lot of good actors to get (Orlando Bloom struggled. So did Daniel Craig.). So, I was prepared for any and all reactions to the show. My comments are just predicting the general public's reactions as they pertain to Tom if everyone got to see this. It's been pretty obvious to me that the glowing audience reviews are largely from Tom stans. Take a step back and notice how many people on social comment after seeing the show how hot Tom is rather than how much they liked the show. Maybe he's so surprisingly gorgeous in person it's impossible not to comment on. So, I looked at general theater-goers, and those sentiments were average at best. I'm just extrapolating from there what clips from a wide-release proshot floating around the internet out of context would be like. I'm being realist rather than being negative. Same way a lot of us weren't all that surprised by TCR reactions.
I still maintain if Tom had just being in a short one-off mundane version of R&J, it would have been a universal critical hit and we'd be in the fifth extension to the run by now. Adding all of these degrees of difficulty to someone who's new to Shakespeare is not what I would do as a director. But that's just me.
thoughts, anyone?
#anon ask#good night#we’ll see what I’ll wake up to#(probs nothing)#maybe I’ll be able to say something useful tomorrow 💀

TCR EPISODE 9
Fuck- this episode was so tense and heartbreaking but so so good! Definitely the toughest episode to watch so far. Masterclass in acting from all the cast involved! Major spoilers below!
1. With minimal dialogue from Danny this episode Tom brilliantly spoke through his eyes/body language to convey Danny’s inner thoughts/emotions. I truly was heartbroken watching Danny watch Candy betray him and stay loyal to Marlin. Also his face during the final scene! I truly couldn’t handle it.
2. The actress playing the DA is eating fr. I will definitely have to check out more of her work! Christopher Abbott has also been giving a wonderful performance these past few episodes. I’m such a big fan of his work and TCR has been a great addition. They truly are the backbone of the trial and have been doing a great job raising bigger issues/questions about Danny’s overall place.
3. Annabelle, Angelo, and Jerome taking the witness stand was a great addition. You could tell that they all were sort of empathetic to the internal struggles Danny has been dealing with(whether or not he deserved it in those specific situations). Jerome-I love you fr! I’ve loved his performances from these past two episodes and am grateful that he has been able to show a more gentle/vulnerable side to Danny and his alters.
4. Candy! I appreciate that the episode established that she was at the receiving end of abuse too. “Guilt or Grief, which one can you bear” is such a banger line and it was interesting to see how Candy reacted to it. I HATE that she did that to her own son but I get why she was so afraid. She wasn’t ready to lose everything so she decided push her own son further away by lying. Truly a shame fr! I hate Marlin so so so much! Appreciate the actor giving this role his all because he’s truly made Marlin such a despicable character lol. The look of heartbreak between Candy and Danny after she took the stand will haunt me.
5. The final scene! I had such a visceral reaction to this scene it was crazy! I knew that the binder clip was going to come back in a dangerous way. The look of solemn terror but also relief after Danny harms himself was so heartbreaking I legit started to sob. I do appreciate the show not showing the action of abuse or self harm but rather the characters reactions to it. I think this is a really smart way to emphasize the emotional/psychological toll it takes. I have a lot of questions about the outcome of Danny’s action in this scene but i guess we’ll find out more next week!
6. Spoilers!- From the set pictures and locations used during the filming of episode 10 it seems that whatever the outcome of the trial is Danny hopefully (eventually) gets sent to a mental facility upstate! Looks like some time has passed and Rya goes to visit Danny. He even has his scars from where he harmed himself! I’ll put some of the set pics below! This is truly saving me from having a full freak out about this episode lol.
Hopeful that we get to have some closure for Ari, Jonny, and the other alters in some capacity in the next episode. Hopefully Candy steps up in some way in the next episode as well. I also am looking forward for Danny’s defense (including Rya) to get a fucking win in the incoming parts of the trial. This show has truly done a great job giving example to the nuanced history mental illness has had within the social/judicial/political systems at play here in the U.S. Can’t believe we’re at the finale already! Looking forward to seeing these storylines get wrapped up. Great job all around! Bravo Tom!
My episode ranking so far:
9-8-7-6-3-5-4-2-1

no no no wait about tcr ep4
i really had been watching the therapy sessions wondering HOW danny was talking to rya so long. but i just brushed it off!
of course, she had been talking to the alters 🫢
i also don’t think he went to london at all he was just running around new york and people saw him and the taxi prob told where he lived … i’m likely wrong about that but that whole part just seemed off for a reason
the best part really was when danny pulled the chair over and got all in ryas face. i was holding my breath.
then i literally screamed seeing jack! 😮💨
i said before this episode wasn’t my favorite so i’m glad it was shorter and not dragged out too much
(this isn’t the point but the transition edit after seeing rya at the desk was a choice? i thought maybe we were getting a flashback clip but it was just a nice new york transition 😂)
(unless it means something and i missed that ..)
i need to watch it again

Emmy Rossum character was very like sight I didn’t thought she would be a mother like that but she did such a great job her last scene with Danny it’s was very sad but at the same time she deserved that
tcr made me cry maybe 3 or 4 times, and one of those scenes is candy crying in the bathroom & trying not to make a sound while looking at the newspaper clippings 🥺 but i’m glad the candy-danny story ended that way.

So did you end up watching TCR?! Saw you describe T’s performance as phenomenal. Or maybe saw the short clips?! Either way, it was evident that he killed those scenes!!
I watched episode 6. I probably wont watch the rest unless they’re also pretty tame in subject matter. 2-5 seemed dark and heavy.

What do you mean the stress of next month? How is Tom doing promo for his show stressful for you?
it's not about promo. welllll kinda. i am part of two blogs that archive content on tom, so it will be double the effort. plus i have the memory and attention span of a very short-lived fish which is a problem, but that's not what i meant. i meant watching the actual show. it's right up my alley in terms of genre and all, but at the same time, while browsing for content to update the blogs, who knows what i will find yknow? so it'll be stressful in that way because i'm a dumbass who thinks she's a hardass and doesn't want to filter anything that's all
(not important but a for instance. today there was a few clips and prints and whatnot about tcr. i uploaded them all to the public blog and it went fine. then i went to the private archive and left a few notes on what i would need to add later. (all this in the middle of doing a very high profile translation for work, mind you) then later i got to the archive and the notes had gone -poof- which means i had to do the whole process again, going to the public blog, downloading everything, captioning everything etc etc ugh so yeah. that stresses me out because i'm a dumbass yknow)
#b answers#plus everybody is gonna be yelling at each other over reviews and critics and dumb ratings -.-#and while not stressful...that pisses me off#and when i'm pissed off i stress-eat#...so do you see?#i'm exhausted already lmao

Image Of The Week
Happy Halloween! This photograph shows patients at the New York State Hospital at Ray Brook dressed up for Halloween sometime in the 1940s. This photograph was found in an album kept by patient Teresa Dare. A 1944 newspaper clipping described Halloween parties at Ray Brook that included singing, skits, dancing, and a masquerade contest.
We look forward to seeing you all in costume today, and we can't wait to see all the little ghouls and boys here at the Saranac Laboratory Museum for Historic Scare-anac Lake on THURSDAY (11/2) from 3-6. [Historic Saranac Lake Collection, TCR 679. Gift of Donna Hartless.]

In the discussion of Tom's love interests in his projects Elijah Jones is often skipped even though his character Jerome's relationship with Tom's Danny was one of the best parts of TCR. He was the person that loved and accepted Danny as he was. We know that homophobes used the little clip of their bathroom scene to shit on Tom and the fact that Elijah is black was highlighted in their mockery
Good point Anon! 👍🏾
His male lover in that film was also Black 😊

Interesting that shippers always say Tom is liking all these posts of Z when tomdayaland literally post a clip to a TCR interview with Tom and tomdayaland says “He talks about his social media break and only downloading the app for work or very rarely for
‘pleasure about his personal life’.”
soooo who is liking those photos all the time cause it sure ain’t tom 😂
Like we’ve always said it’s his team😂😂😂Or according to shippers,he cuts the break short for liking certain pics of Z

Am I the only one uncomfortable with the GIFs and clips from episode 8 being the thing that people are saying are going to make them want to watch TCR? I have major issues with the show, but watching Tom in a sex scene is so far from the point in this case. I know people did something similar with Cherry, but Tom is bigger now and this feels like an infinitely more delicate subject matter. I know there's no policing the internet. I just don't like what I've seen so far.
People are going to be sorely disappointed if they think they’re getting 10 episodes of those gifs😭

I was looking like that dicaprio meme pointing at my screen trying to spot any little tiny bit of TCR content lmao
We also saw two clips of Amanda, she's really the co-lead IKTR
Yes! Of course she is, and love that the show is centered around their sessions

Z still lurks on twitter. She knows when something viral is going on not only about her but about Tom as well (remember her liking that THU post with the Tom clip talking about letting go of vanity to tackle a character when he was going viral for looking ugly during TCR?). She also intervened last year when the pregnancy rumors were getting out of hand and she mentioned how twitter was making up shit about her weekly because in that period many people were saying that she was the woman getting beat up in a video. You better believe that she saw the gist about what was being tweeted about her and that was the main reason that Law went to twitter to defend her and not any of his other clients (at least initially). Just like she saw people attacking her a couple of weeks ago due to reports about a show she's not involved in.
She can be enjoying being with Tom, but that doesn't mean that all that bullshit doesn't get under her skin. She has had to deal with bullshit for a long time, and it can wear you down. She talked about being very depressed during quarantine. People can be going through shit and still being in a loving relationship with their partner. Let's exercise some grace and not be dismissive of the effect of viral unwarranted hate campaigns
it was a joke i didn’t dismiss anything !!! i don’t know zendaya or the inner workings of her mind and neither do any of the rest of us everyone please take a deep breath

Sunday Confession:
Tom is not viewed as an actor by some because he is not doing the prestigious roles that can help win stan war arguments. So now the new twist is that Tom is unemployed because no talented director wants to hire him. People can't believe or accept when Tom says he is not interested in doing a role just for award recognition it needs to be a role that challenges him and interest him. More importantly Tom is one of the few young film stars that actually carved out a work life balance.
First and foremost my interest is in Actor Tom. How he conveys emotions and brings the audience along is impressive. There is a reason why most people remember the blimp scene in Avenger, the reunion scene in The Impossible, the death scene in How I live now, Aunt May dying. Tom is also able to do accents really well. I respect actors who understand how important it is to the character and work on it. Tom issue isn't talent, because even in the work that has bad reviews, he is never the weakest link. If Tom couldn't act and didn't have talent we would have seen clips last year with TCR. There were countless people on Twitter who wanted to expose how bad an actor Tom is by showing clips online like they did with Harry Styles, but they couldn't because Tom was never the issue with the show. Tom's issues is that he picks his project based on what appeals to him instead of picking things that for sure will interest the public. It is his choice, but that doesn't diminish how talented I think he is.
Thanks for your confession Anon. 😊
I appreciate your viewpoints. You made some pretty good points! There were just a few things that I didn't quite understand, so I'm going to mention them below.
Tom is not viewed as an actor by some because he is not doing the prestigious roles that can help win stan war arguments. So now the new twist is that Tom is unemployed because no talented director wants to hire him.
I'm sorry but.... Is being in a Solo Film Franchise about one of the most POPULAR comic book characters in history under two of the BIGGEST studios (Disney/Marvel) in the industry not a "prestigious" role? 🤔 Serious question here.
Cuz ummm.... That's not just a small role imo. That's pretty HUGE. It's not some obscure little film or role we're talking about here.
JA Bayona, Ron Howard, Akiva Goldsman, The Russo Brothers, etc. Are they not pretty famous and talented directors?? 🥴
People can't believe or accept when Tom says he is not interested in doing a role just for award recognition it needs to be a role that challenges him and interest him.
But isn't that what MOST actors are doing?? 😅 MOST actors choose roles because of the challenge that it brings them, or because they have always admired a certain director and they want to work with them. Most actors aren't even thinking about awards before they take on a role. Some actors (especially those that aren't as famous as Tom is) are just thinking about putting food on the table and getting their next gig.
Why is Tom being given a hard time when he's basically doing what 90% of actors out here are doing?? I just don't understand that. 🥴
More importantly Tom is one of the few young film stars that actually carved out a work life balance.
I don't get it....Don't MOST actors have this?? 🥴
Keep in mind too that Tom is also very fortunate for being in the Marvel films because he can actually AFFORD to take longer breaks in btwn films (if he wants to) because he has that Disney/Marvel money. Most other actors do not have that. Just saying...
I totally agree with this! 😃 Tom really does a good job at conveying emotions really well! That's his strongpoint imo.
Tom issue isn't talent, because even in the work that has bad reviews, he is never the weakest link.
Exactly!!! Tom is very talented. He's never the weak link.
Tom's issues is that he picks his project based on what appeals to him instead of picking things that for sure will interest the public.
But hold on a second.... This is what I don't understand. This is what MOST actors are doing out here. They pick roles that appeal to THEM. 100%! Just listen to ANY actor out here who talks about why they picked a role. You will hear the same thing over and over again.
Plus, didn't Tom audition for Spiderman?? That's a role that "interests the public". So I don't get it. Again, I'm not understanding.... Tom is basically doing what 90% of other actors are out here doing. I don't see the problem? 🥴
Forgive me if I'm coming across as harsh, I just don't understand some of your claims and comments.
Tom is doing what 90% of actors are out here doing. It's FANS and HATERS who are saying that what Tom is doing is somehow "bad". That's what I suspect. He's really not doing anything different from what most actors around his age are doing. 🤷🏾♀️
**You all are allowing Twitter to dictate how you FEEL about what Tom is doing. That's my theory.
