Also guys…
I got Chucky and Tiffany!!!
I know lots of people find them disappointing and/or ugly, but I honestly like them both 😭 I especially love Tiffany’s face, although I do wish she had her dark roots and iconic outfit. If I decide to take them oob, I’m gonna just make her a custom dress and leather jacket
Also I got River Styxx in the mail! She’s missing her back purple chain/bow piece and her staff, but I might be getting the former soon. I’m gonna make her a cloak instead of searching for one online since it seems simple enough ^^
#monster high#dollblr#monster high dolls#monster high collection#dolls of tumblr#g1 monster high#I love the Chucky movies and I’m glad I managed to snag one for a decent price#I tried getting one directly from the drop#but they sold out right when I put my payment info in :( I found one that was slightly above retail for sale from someone though!#it sucks that I couldn’t get them directly from Mattel but I tried my damnedest#I know people don’t wanna pay that much for them since they don’t look exactly how they wish them to be#but I’m still excited for mine and might make a little voodoo for dummies book/possibly bag for Tiff and a tiny necklace#they’re gonna be my first (and probably only) Skullectors and I’m excited

fuck dude i have got to find a job where i can be self-employed and creative. i cannot be in fucking retail hell anymore
#she bork#tbd#like now i don't deal w customers which is cool but now that i work at like a big retail store and not a little mall outlet the pressure is#insane. and i have bosses who never say good job or thank you and who have set me up to fail by throwing a department on me that i was not#hired to run or trained for and frankly don't have time to run properly either. so every week just starts w me in our weekly meeting being a#fucking piñata like 'why didn't you get this done 🤨 you need to manage your time better 🤨 you're losing sales 🤨' and i'm like i'm trying!!!!#what more can i do!!!!!! and then the side of it i actually kind of enjoy (which is what i was originally hired to do) is very very hard on#my body bc it's a very physical job (i run the team that unloads the trucks every day and like i'm usually helping unload bc i'm not just#gonna stand there and watch while my team busts their asses lol) and now i'm finding out that it's actually not normal to wake up every day#w your joints screaming and stiff and that i might have a chronic condition (doctor is thinking some sort of chronic inflammatory arthritis#but i won't know if my imaging and blood tests showed anything until like mid-june) and i'm like. so even the part of my job that i don't#mind as much is not good bc it's like actively destroying my body. okay sick 🤠 and i don't wanna quit bc i've only been there for like#eight months and this job would be really valuable on a resume but i don't want it to look like i'm a job hopper or like i'm fickle or#unreliable. so i'm stuck here for a while i think. but the pressure is destroying me mentally and i know i need to find a position somewhere#else that is 1. not fucking goddamn retail bc retail will always be hell and 2. not management bc i don't see myself ever really getting#into upper management but lower/middle management gets shit on the most so if i go somewhere else and end up in middle management i'll be#right back to wanting to kill myself in a matter of months. basically i'm tired of expectations and pressure and stress and i'm tired of#waking up at fucking 2:30 every morning just to go in and get shit on and destroy my body all over something that in the end i do not fuckin#care about. i need to make art and be held accountable by only myself. idk i've been toying w the idea of learning how to tattoo and trying#to start establishing some artistic skill so maybe eventually i can do that? not now bc the economy sucks and that's scary lol and anyway i#have to give myself some time to actually learn the skill and perfect a style. but it makes decent money (at least before the expense of#supplies and taxes) and allows you to travel and still work and also it would be fun. and i could tattoo myself so it would cut some#expenses for me since i cannot stay away from the damn needle. idk lol i need to save some money before i buy a tattoo gun or anything but#i'm considering it bc i am going fucking crazy rn and ik this feeling will leave me eventually but i also know it will come back bc it#always does. and i'm tired of just surviving and just making it through every day and every week like i want to be happy and this is just#not doing it for me anymore#ugh fuck why couldn't i have been born w a brain that likes numbers and code and technology. i love being an artist but it makes finding a#sustainable career really difficult bc i feel so restless and miserable when i'm stuck in a passionless job but my passions are not#particularly profitable. hate it here why wasn't i born a capybara no job no responsibility just squint and squeak and sun

Hmmm ... home loan company - merged with national company and it went out of business in the market crash. Bakery & restaurants - sold and new owners (who thought threatening breaking of knees was a good regular practice) were dragged out of bakery at gun point by FBI and business closed (I believe it was for prostitution and money laundering). Law firm - professional divorce of the partners and business closed. Security company - bought because the wrong person got drunk with an exec at Stanley Black & Decker and they had zero plan beyond the drunken idea and (many) business closed (the sheer quantity of racist slurs SBD corp staff slung at us was shocking, especially considering they never actually saw our pictures or us). MLM - acquired by another MLM who acquired too many at once and refused to listen to the admin and operations staff of acquired businesses (and had massive control issues where the Controller stood outside the bathroom timing me and they deliberately exposed all employees to COVID three times, they produced food stuffs by the by) causing the auditors to fail them and they were delisted and business closed.
Consulting company - let me go for asking for a raise after I did three jobs at once for two years, hired three people to replace me, appears to have lost 50% of their long term employees and all but one hired in 2024 (including two of my replacements). Not dead yet but clearly dying.
So yeah. The home loan business was a good environment as was the law firm so it was sad to see those go, but the rest were toxic as hell. The original MLM was great but I was hired during merger so that didn't last long. So, for the most part, I have had the pleasure of knowing my old jobs died after I stopped holding their shit together. One company that was fine until they decided to trump up reasons to fire me (I don't know why, I was in the second wave of them laying off literally hundreds of people at the beginning of COVID lockdowns but they wanted to pretend they were firing me for cause so I "didn't add to their layoff numbers" or something despite having a glowing annual review less than a month earlier but in talking with people afterwards it looks like they pretty exclusively "fired" people of colour and got rid of POC first, like I heard this from other former employees and vendors) is still going but their stock did tank for a while and still hasn't recovered fully.
#every time i have left a job#fired or quit#i have had to be replaced by three people#even my high school mall retail sales associate job#i had to be replaced by an assistant manager and two associates#when the engineering equipment vendor who recognizes you introduces himself to say all the asians got fired its clearly a thing

I think there's something to be said that saying the words "Deny, Defend, Depose, you're next" to an insurance sales rep can get you arrested for 'threats of mass homicide' or whatever with a threat of 15 years in prison
But when I was a manager in a fast food restaurant I've had customers throw food at me, demand for my personal phone number with an added threat of "Well I'll just have to FIND it", customers charging past the front counter to physically intimidate me and my coworkers, screaming and swearing, demands to know what time I get out of work, demands to know when my manager would be at work as a threat, people sitting in their car waiting for me to finish closing because they were angry at me, causing me to stay in the office watching the camera waiting for them to drive away...
But none of those incidents are arrest-able offenses, not one, any time I called the cops on any customer I would just hear excuses like " "there isn't anything illegal about calling a restaurant", that nothing physical happened and therefore there's nothing they could do, to call back and let them know if anything else happens
Idk, just think it's A TEENY TINY BIT ODD
Cop in the news goes "words have consequences" as if people don't berate and threaten fast food and retail workers every day

Why Retailers Are Switching to Tablet POS Systems
Retailers are increasingly switching to tablet POS systems, and for good reason. Traditional POS systems, which rely on bulky hardware, can be expensive and take up valuable space. Tablet-based POS systems, on the other hand, are compact, cost-effective, and offer greater flexibility. With a tablet POS, retailers can process transactions anywhere in the store, providing a more personalized shopping experience for customers. Whether it's checking out a customer at the front of the store or assisting with inventory management in the back, tablet POS systems are highly portable and mobile-friendly.
These systems are also packed with features like inventory tracking, customer management, and sales analytics, which help retailers run their businesses more efficiently. Moreover, tablet POS systems often integrate with other software, including accounting and CRM tools, allowing for seamless operations across various platforms.
Overall, the switch to tablet POS systems allows retailers to save on upfront costs while improving efficiency, flexibility, and customer service. It’s no surprise that this solution is becoming increasingly popular in the retail industry.

There are so many ways in which POS (point-of-sale) software solutions meant specifically for food courts can help business owners like you as far as optimizing your operations in such an establishment is concerned. There are so many things that you can get done by using such software such as designating orders efficiently, ensuring customer loyalty, and supervising operations efficiently. These solutions can also help you streamline your services and make sure that your customers keep coming back so that they can have more of the delicious experiences that they have already had from your food court.
Real-time KOT (kitchen order ticket) updates
These solutions offer you features such as KOT updates in real-time along with quick card recharge and swift validity configuration. They make the complex processes being followed in your business a whole lot easier thus making sure that your operations are smoother than they would otherwise be.
Sales reports in-depth
With these software systems, you are in the best possible position to analyze your business data which helps you determine how well your business is performing or not. You can decide if it is growing or declining and thus determine the amendments that you need to make to it in the future. You can easily use such software to make informed decisions that help you develop your business in the best possible way.
Smart management of orders
These systems feature automated order-taking processes which help your staff to use the menu being displayed. They can use it to accept orders and send them straight away to the POS without any need for manual intervention.
Loyalty programs and discounts
Using such software helps you categorize your buyers into tiers based on factors such as their spending. You can consequently encourage them to keep ordering from your food courts.
Managing prepaid food court cards
POS software, especially the best ones, can help you redefine the way you manage your food court. This is because of the features that these systems offer in this regard with the most prominent of them being easy tracking of sales, improved integration of cards, and efficient processing across several counters at once.
Third-party integrations
These systems provide you with a range of applications that can help you manage your food court the most efficiently from a centralized and single location. All you have to do in this case is integrate your POS software.
Why should you buy them from the best service providers?
It always makes sense to buy these products from the best service providers because they have highly experienced teams, contactless stays, customer support, and on-demand concierge. The best companies in the domain usually have decades of experience and have served thousands of similar establishments across the world. They have revolutionized the hotel management game of their clients and made them a whole lot more productive as well. These systems help you fulfill all the expectations your guests have in terms of convenience and speed with contactless services.
Such service providers also offer you round-the-clock customer support and you can also use these systems to provide your guests with information on your hotel and the areas that surround them right at their fingertips.
The most powerful features of these food court POS software solutions
These food court POS software solutions offer you some of the strongest features that you could ever ask for in this context such as self-service kiosk integration, multiple outlet management, and real-time order tracking, to name a few. When you use these systems your customers do not have to depend on you for ordering and this reduces wait times as well. These systems also let you manage orders from various outlets without using various systems for the purpose — just one is enough in these cases. Their real-time order tracking facility enables quick delivery as well.
Using a food court POS software system can increase your revenue by as much as 15%. This is because of facilities such as centralized order management, effective marketing strategies, accounting integration with such systems, and the ability to collect feedback from customers. You can easily use such software to streamline your operations and thus manage orders from various vendors in one user-friendly interface. You can use these systems to conduct targeted promotions at off-peak hours to drive customer traffic. You can also integrate such software with your accounting systems seamlessly. Plus, they offer extra features to make it even more worth your while such as multi-vendor management, customizable menus, and loyalty and feedback programs.

POS Implementation
POS Implementation: A Comprehensive Guide
In today’s fast-paced retail and service environments, implementing a Point of Sale (POS) system can significantly streamline operations, enhance customer experience, and improve overall efficiency. Whether you’re upgrading from a traditional cash register or installing your first POS system, proper implementation is crucial to maximizing its benefits. This guide will walk you through the essential steps of POS implementation.
Step 1: Identify Business Needs
Before selecting a POS system, assessing your business requirements is important. Consider the following:
The size and type of your business.
Specific features you need (e.g., inventory tracking, customer loyalty programs).
Budget constraints.
Integration requirements with existing software and hardware.
Step 2: Choose the Right POS System
Not all POS systems are created equal. Here’s how to select one that fits your needs:
Research and compare various providers.
Look for scalability to accommodate future growth.
Ensure it supports multiple payment methods.
Check reviews and testimonials from similar businesses.
Step 3: Hardware and Software Setup
A POS system consists of hardware (like barcode scanners, receipt printers, and card readers) and software. Ensure you:
Acquire hardware compatible with your chosen POS software.
Install and configure the software according to your operational needs.
Test all components to ensure they work seamlessly together.
Step 4: Data Migration
If you’re transitioning from an older system, data migration is a critical step:
Back up your existing data.
Transfer inventory, sales history, and customer information to the new system.
Verify the accuracy of migrated data.
Step 5: Employee Training
Proper training ensures your team can effectively use the POS system:
Organize hands-on training sessions.
Provide user manuals and support materials.
Address common troubleshooting scenarios.
Step 6: Pilot Testing
Before full-scale implementation, conduct a pilot test:
Use the system in a controlled environment.
Monitor for any issues or inefficiencies.
Gather feedback from staff and customers.
Step 7: Go Live
Once testing is complete, it’s time to roll out the system:
Schedule the launch during a low-traffic period to minimize disruptions.
Ensure on-site support is available for the initial days.
Communicate the change to your team and customers.
Step 8: Monitor and Optimize
Implementation doesn’t end with the launch. Regular monitoring is essential:
Analyze performance metrics (e.g., transaction times, error rates).
Update the system as needed to fix bugs and improve features.
Seek ongoing feedback from employees and customers.
Conclusion
Implementing a POS system is an investment in your business's future. With proper planning and execution, it can simplify daily operations, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive growth. By following the steps outlined above, you can ensure a smooth and successful implementation.
