Reminiscence

It's strange to think there's been so much time without you. You kept a lot of things together, so we've all noticed the change. But it still feels like you're with us right now. I find it a little odd, but I guess it makes sense. I still wish I could take back the day that I last saw you. … I wish I could at least change one thing. I didn't even really give you a goodbye. For me, that's the worst part, really. Because I think that the best way to part ways with a friend, regardless of the when or the why.. is just to say "See ya later!" Just like you usually would. Because we will meet again, after all. Good friends always do, right? … That's a quote from somewhere, I'm sure. Either way, I hope we can talk again soon. No matter how it happens, we've all missed you a lot.

This is a picture I asked my poppy to make. I asked him to draw anything! When prompted he said “Oh I can’t draw anymore with my hands as bad as they are” etc. But after persisting and continuing to ask he said ok and made this picture.

Included in it is his truck. In the front seat is him and my nana. The back seat is me and my siblings. In the trunk is our dogs. We are all up north in the woods enjoying a drive (which we used to do every year until we all got older and sold the cabin).

This was literally so heartwarming and I love my poppy so much.
