Hazelnut Brownie with Turkish Ice Cream

We went out for a comfort meal at Origami, on a Monday evening. The thought of eating one of my favorite ramen bowls and getting my Kimchi pancake cravings satisfied had me joyous.

It's the baan-chan (Korean side dishes) that do the magic for me. We had seasoned cucumber, salted boiled peanuts marinated lightly in soy, and kimchi.

I don't know what it is about kimchi topped on a bite of noodles, but the Koreans have gotten it right. Even though we probably ate Kimchi with preservatives versus its fresh version, I am still glad I got to munch on it, pair it with a chonky bite of noodles. and then nibble on some more while wrapping up our meal.

This time's Kimchi Jeon was on point with its pancake-y thickness, and the sourness of the Kimchi mixed in the dough came through beautifully. Dipping it lightly in soy and adding a piece of fresh Kimchi made me feel quite accomplished as a foodie.

Our real treasure was discovering the Hazelnut Brownie with Turkish Ice Cream at Blah! On a whim, we decided to head for dessert and turned up here. On a Monday evening, with a disco ball above our table, enjoying pieces of nougat with each bite of soft brownie and a new, yum flavor of ice-cream is a legit vibe.

Yeah I definitely feel like I have only begun scratching the surface of this place. I didn’t know there were national tumblr holidays LMAO, do they celebrate Goncharov release date and stuff? Or are they more like r/196 events like “femboy fridays”?
