Rosabell: Alright. But don't come crying to me if you puke again. *takes a sip from her cup*

Cater: *appears out of nowhere* Hey Rosie-Bellie!

Rosabell: *spits out her drink and starts coughing*

Grim: *shocked* MYAH!!

Rosabell: *whirls around to face Cater* Why?!

Cater: *smiles and waves it off* Sorry about that. I'd like your attention for today.

Rosabell: ...Why?

Cater: Cause it's my b-day!

Rosabell: ... (Crap. I nearly forgot.) Right. Your birthday. What do you want?

Cater: No "Happy Birthday, Cater"? Darn. #Harsh.

Rosabell: ... *glares*

Cater: *raise his hands in defense* Okay, okay. Fair enough. I just want the three of us to go to this new ramen shop for my b-day.

Grim: A new ramen shop?! Yeah! Let's go!

Rosabell: I thought you would have a party with Heartslabyul after school.

Cater: I mean yeah. But I want my turn figuring out your birthday. And food will help that. Am I wrong?

Rosabell: *shifts in her seat* You're not wrong. *Cater smirks* Fine. But give us thirty minutes after school to get funds for the shop.

Cater: Nice! See you later! *runs off*

Grim: *smirks* So you have another date?

Rosabell: *tenses up* It's not a date!

*Hours later, Rosabell, Grim, and Cater are standing in front of a ramen shop.*

Cater: Here we are! #ramenlife!

Grim: Wow! *sniffs the air* The smell of spices and meat is so good!

Rosabell: *sniffs* It does. *sad smile forms* Reminds me of home.

Cater: *opens the door, the smell of spices and meat grows stronger* Really? What is your home world like?

*Rosabell and Grim walk in, Cater following them. The trio sat down at a table, and menus magically appeared in front of them.*

Rosabell: Besides magic, Beastmen, and Fae...pretty much the same as here. A little more open than here but still the same.

Cater: Really?

Rosabell: Yeah. And sometimes, my sister and I would order the spiciest ramen bowl from our favorite ramen shop. We would see how long it would take for one of us to start crying. I usually win but it was just...nice to be with her.

Cater: Woah! Talk about spicy intensity! I didn't think anyone would be that crazy.

Grim: Yeah...*ten seconds later, he smiles* Let's do it!

Rosabell: Huh?

Grim: Get a bowl of the spiciest ramen!

Cater: Oh my Seven! Totes! Let's!

Rosabell: Alright then. But don't come crying to me if it's too much for you two.

*After ordering their bowls, Cater turns his attention toward Rosabell.*

Cater: Alright Rosie-Bellie. Time for my question. Are you ready?

Rosabell: Not really. But I don't have much of a choice. So go for it.

Cater: Great! Now...is your birthday close to one of ours? Like within two days?

Rosabell: ...

Grim: ...

Cater: ... *Starts sweating*

Rosabell: Yeah. It is.

Grim: Did that actually help?

Cater: Maybe. But it's something. At least I tried.

Rosabell: I'm still sure none of you will figure it out.

Cater: Never say never, Rosie-Bellie. We are a stubborn crew.

Rosabell: (For now. But how long will I be here.) *shrugs* I guess.

*Three ramen bowls appeared in front of them, the spicy smell filled the air. This nearly caused them to cry.*

Cater: Chow time!

Rosabell: Not gonna take a photo for Magicam?

Cater: Oh! Thanks for reminding! *Starts taking pictures.*

Rosabell: *sighs* Me and my big mouth.

Grim: Come on! Let's just eat!

*For the next hour, the trio ate their spicy ramen to see who would cry first. After Grim won, they headed to Heartslabyul for the birthday party.*

𝙂𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙙 🍜 I might be a bit late to the party but I had @tonkotsu.ramenbar on the weekend and I loved it! They’ve just opened a new spot in Kentish Town literally opposite the underground station. I started with pork gyoza, and the King Prawn Katsu which I LOVED, and also the Chicken Karaage, which was a very generous portion for the price but also such good quality. Crispy skin, meaty fillets, a must order! Then we had Tonkotsu, because when in Rome, and also the Chilli Tiger Prawn. I recommend sticking a load of chilli oil in, the whole dish is given a lift when you add heat. The rest of the menu sounds great though and next time I think I’ll be eyeing up the Japanese Mushroom Miso. They pride themselves on making their own noodles with their tagline being “you’re just a soup shop” if you don’t. Also, they have a cocktail called an Umeshu Spritz, which is Tanqueray gin, Umeshu plum wine, Prosecco, picked plum & river leaf, and soda, and it’s DELICIOUS.
