love love love your Zaun family verse and genuinely one of my favorite thoughts on it that I don't think I've seen you write about is a young, heavily pregnant Silco being an inspiring revolutionary because nobody could ever question his loyalty to the people of Zaun seeing how much he gives to the cause even while in such a vulnerable state

I know I've definitively rambled about it before and I've definitively played around with how I would write it because I already know who the POV character would be - Sevika.

Because she joins up with their group around when Silco is pregnant with Claggor and Mylo. And despite the fact that she is a young alpha with no interest in having children of her own ever she still ends up gravitating towards Silco more than Vander. Because she can see that he's the one that's truly completely committed to the cause, and he's the one that probably has the best chance of succeeding. And, in return she very quickly becomes one of Silco's most trusted allies because the fact she does lean more to him than Vander (who most of the other younger alphas that join their cause flock to) shows to Silco that she is more than just alpha muscle. Even if the pregnancy becomes a bit of an elephant in the room between them (quick ficlet I wrote as part of another prompt set to show what I mean).

She's not the only one of course. It definitively feeds into people's view of Silco being the more stubborn and determined one between him and Vander. Because while, yes, there are some things he doesn't do while heavily pregnant (he's not getting into punch-ups with enforcers) he is still doing things to progress their goals. Still making deals and gathering power and planning acts for other people to do. He's throwing up in alleys between cutting deals, nursing a baby while in meetings, and dragging his heavily pregnant swollen self down to the docks to make sure the quality of the goods are as claimed. And never once giving showing an inch of exhaustion (to those not in the very inner circle).

Also generally it adds that bit more to Silco's speeches that they must do what has to be done to make a better life for the sons and daughters of Zaun when he's visible pregnant himself. He knows exactly what's at risk if they try and fail and yet is adamant that they must do this so the next generation doesn't have to live through what they did.

Silco (and his family) benefit the most from all the work that is done and progress made towards an indepdent Zaun but few are question whether he deserves it.

•♡ Before you start properly dating, there's gonna be Eddie familiarising himself with you through the internet and socials, then through hacked cameras here and there... he doesn't exactly want to invade your privacy, but he likes knowing your safe and seeing that beautiful face to light up his day

•♡ Everything about you is just so perfect and angelic to Edward Nashton, and it's a wonder to him that someone as pure and pretty as you has ended up amongst the scum and vermin in Gotham... but no, it makes sense, because he lives in Gotham too and you two were always meant to be!

•♡ Eddie's love is so deep and obsessive that it can even overwhelm him at times. Like, he'll be killing some thug who decided to get up in your face the other night in his Riddler gear, and the fantasy of you thanking him and hugging and kissing him for his work literally makes him hyperventilate under his mask, and he has to calm down or he'll end up passing out lmao

•♡ He'll be as patient as he can before deciding to make his love known to you, most likely by getting you to his apartment and pouring out his feelings so you'll be paying attention to him fully

•♡ So assuming that you don't reject the Riddler's affections, he'll be ecstatic, honestly can't believe it's happening, that he doesn't have to daydream and imagine you two being together like soulmates are supposed to be when you're right here, all his!!

•♡ Eddie's pretty touch-starved and hasn't had proper romantic relationships before you, so any ounce of affection you give him... he's an absolute mess, whimpering and whining as he nuzzles happily into your touch and moves against you when you stop because he loves the feeling

•♡ Especially if you're playing with his hair or running your fingers lightly up and down his skin, it makes him shivery and flushed

•♡ This guy's pretty vocal and doesn't bother trying to suppress the moans that escape him when you're kissing or cuddling tightly

•♡ Anyone would think you're doing... you know, something else, when all you've done is kiss him and he won't shut up lol

•♡ You know about everything with the orphanage, and when you tell Edward about yours, he sees it as a sign of trust and bonding and he's so giddy

•♡ You have Eddie's attention whenever you want it. As soon as you call his name softly when he's scribbling in a puzzle book, he'll look right up at you with hopeful eyes behind his glasses

•♡ He's really, really protective and quite possessive, so if anyone makes you uncomfortable in the slightest and he gets to hear of it, that person won't be alive the next morning, and a new video will be added to the Riddler's streams

•♡ The videos will be extra violent and tormenting since Edward is jealous and thoroughly annoyed by how the person dared to disrespect you, and the followers drink it up with comments like, "bitch thats what you get for messing with riddlers queen" and "kill the pig, worship the goddess 😍"

•♡ No joke there, they're as respectful to you as they are to the Riddler himself and so you've got random followers around Gotham that will willingly watch your back or do things at your or Eddie's request

•♡ The Riddler's followers have heard a lot about you (obviously), and are Edward's eyes and ears when he needs them to make sure you're okay when it gets late and you're out or not with him or something

•♡ I'm not joking when I say that he sees you as a completely ethereal, beautiful being, and the obsessive Polaroids and rambles in his journals and random items of clothing and trinkets around Ed's room of you proves his devotion and adoration

•♡ He reminds you a lot that everything he's doing, he's doing for you, because an angel such as yourself can't live in a nasty, dirty city, can they?

•♡ I feel like Eddie likes babying you sometimes, being all mushy and clingy, which usually occurs late at night or in the mornings, because he gets to wake you up with loving kisses and whispers or soothe you to sleep fondling you delicately

•♡ An example of babytalk is a bunch of pet names and rambling, like, "My darling, my angel, my muse... aren't you just perfect, sweetheart? You look in the mirror and tell me we don't fit together like little puzzle pieces together like this...! Of course we do!! Awh, you're smiling- keep smiling, always, for me-"

•♡ I was gonna continue but realised I was writing a long-ass paragraph so I'll stop with the dialogue for a sec lmao

•♡ There are times when you have to ask him to shift back a little when his face is literally in yours and you can't breathe hehe

•♡ He gets all blushy and apologetic, but he can't get enough of the warmth and softness and loves enveloping himself in you

•♡ Edward gets extremely agitated when he can't see or touch you for long periods of time, and loses his patience with anyone that isn't you easily until he can relax when you're back together

•♡ He loves teaching you how to solve puzzles and riddles and stuff, because when you do Ed sees it as really hot and your cleverness is gorgeous to him - you can bond over what he's known for and best at!! One more thing to bond over?? He's interested!

•♡ I suppose it could feel invasive at times when Eddie wants to be around you constantly and know as much as he can about your past and just every little detail about your heavenly self, but he doesn't want to be invasive, he just wants to be as close to you as possible

•♡ You're the only one that can calm him down when he's having a tantrum about a riddle gone wrong or an awful flashback or something, and Edward's always thankful and relieved when he's woken gently from nightmares and all

•♡ No one's ever loved him like this before, and he cherishes any bit of attention he gets from you like they're slices of heaven... because they are

•♡ Eddie tells you he loves you constantly, feeling the need to remind you through any means possible

•♡ "I love you, sweet baby... and you love me too, right? Mm... it makes me so happy when you say that- never stop saying that, ever, ever..."

•♡ So Edward being the soft yandere that he is would never hurt you physically or mentally because he hates the thought of that. He just wants to love and protect you forever, prove to the world you're meant to be and gives you anything and everything you want to show it 💚

hi~ headacanon that with his build omega!Jayce would barely have a baby bump at all for the longest time, and easily concealable until very late in a pregnancy--thoughts on this?

I totally agree that he'd be the kind that doesn't show until late in the pregnancy.

Which at the time he's disappointed about. It's not that he necessarily wants attention from strangers because they know he's pregnant but he still kind of wants people to know without having to tell them. And, yes, he's grateful that he has his mobility for most of the pregnancy. But he also spends a lot of time shirtless/naked in front of a mirror kind of sulking because he can barely tell that he's pregnant - he's seen the scans, he knows there's a baby in there, and yet looking at himself he looks like he's had a big lunch at most.

And then he does pop in the last month and he suddenly learns how annoying it is for people to be able to identify you are pregnant at a glance because suddenly strangers he just met keep going for the belly-touch, every single conversation gets detoured into being about the baby no matter how much he tries to keep it on topic, people won't let him do things he's capable of doing. He still likes that there's a swell he can rest his hand on because his baby's in there but he does a little bit wish he could make it so other people didn't know.

So I'm twisting around ideas for how I'm going to salvage the "external threat" plot-line for Zaun Family after Season 2 went a different route for it's final villain and I think I have An Idea.

It's gonna be Ambessa (has to be).

Piltover realises that her interest might be more Conquering than Diplomatic in nature but even with the time they do have to try and build a defence she basically comes in and takes over with little effort.

But no matter what she does she cannot take Zaun. Partially because Silco hasn't stopped stockpiling weapons and his contingency plans for if the Representative deal falls through so they're very well armed to prevent an attempted Occupation. Partially because of the layout of Zaun being a nightmare for anyone unfamiliar and really good for gorilla warfare for those familiar with it. And Partially because There Be Monsters Down There (Silco's children + while Shimmer is more focused on medical use in this universe they didn't completely abandon the Makes People Monstrous element).

So while Zaun never Rallies Behind Piltover, Ambessa cannot say she managed to Take Piltover because she cannot get a hold of the Undercity. And because of the amount of physical connections between the two cities (especially secret ones that were old smuggling routes or just so old they're not on maps anymore but people in Zaun know about them) it means that she also cannot suppress the Piltover resistance because they've based themselves out of Zaun (and have some level of Zaunite support because while Zaun isn't going to Rally behind Piltover they also do want the Occupation Of Piltover to end).

I feel like Jayce still has to destroy the Hexgates but it's more to prevent Ambessa from bringing in more and more reinforcements (then the ending is more "we can rebuild them just need a way to stop that from happening again") and then Mel and Caitlyn still defeat Ambessa in combat so Mel takes over Ambessa's command and calls off the occupation.

I'm still rotating it in my mind (and still haven't watched the season to kidnap what I can) so this may be tweaked or completely changed.

Exactly a month away now until Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth comes out. I'm only a little bit counting down...

Does Viktor ever think about the similarities between Jayce and Vander? I mean they're both physically strong alphas who are looked at to be leaders in their community and can be rather unyielding once they have made up their minds about something. Does Viktor think he married his father (as the saying goes).

While there are definitively differences between Vander and Jayce (Jayce is more Service Top compared to Vander's more Brat Tamer; Vander has little interest in science or engineering and Jayce is more likely to jump in to speak on behalf of his and Viktor's partnership than Vander is his and Silco's) yeah there's some pretty clear similarities to be drawn.

Although I feel like Viktor doesn't actually notice them until the first time he sees Jayce's full temper and refusal-to-back-down happen. Like it's in defence of them or their work or something so Viktor is in agreeance with Jayce's position but it's the moment where all those other things hit him and he has that realisation of... I think I'm marrying my father. Which, again, he also is aware of all the differences and how he's not marrying an exact replica of his father there just happens to be shared traits. Just... he's realising there's more shared traits than he initially thought.

Of course the thing is Viktor married the person his father became, not the person his father was when he was their age (still a lot more angry-angry and solving problems with brute force and a lot less willing to negotiate first, intimidate second, and then turn to brute force as a last resort). Which is an interesting part of the dynamic as well.

But, I mean, Viktor's parents relationship weathered a lot of storms and came out to be one of the happiest most still-in-love couples he knows so is it really a bad thing if he somewhat replicates that in his own relationship?

Imagine if Mylo's date is like a National Sweetheart of Piltover and has the whole town on its knees for him.

That's sweet. Both of them finding the relationship refreshing because the other person doesn't care about their reputation built on external things. Only cares about what they are like as an individual.

More and more of Piltover grumbling about how Silco's kids keep stealing the best partners. Silco once again getting the mix or annoyance and pride because while his kid decided to date a Piltite they did at least pick one that's highly sought after.
