A Commitment to Knowledge and Transparency

The Church of the Atom stands in direct opposition to secrecy. We believe that knowledge—especially knowledge that preserves life and protects future generations—must be shared, not hoarded. Our mission is not to guard sacred truths for a select few, but to ensure that the wisdom of the Atom is carried forward by all who seek it.

We affirm the following:

Knowledge Must Be Open and Accessible

The dangers of radiation and nuclear waste are not mysteries to be kept, but facts to be understood. We reject any notion of secrecy and embrace the free sharing of knowledge.

Preservation Over Obfuscation

The greatest danger to future generations is not knowing. Our role is to ensure that the warnings of today are legible, comprehensible, and enduring for all who come after us.

Education is a Sacred Duty

It is not enough to record warnings; we must teach them. Our sermons, writings, and discussions exist to educate, to prepare, and to empower, ensuring that the knowledge of nuclear dangers is never lost.

Priesthood, Not Gatekeepers

The Church of the Atom does not believe in gatekeeping knowledge. While we may have those who dedicate themselves to the study and transmission of nuclear semiotics, they are guides and teachers, not rulers. Knowledge is for all.

A Warning for the Ages

We work to ensure that future generations, regardless of language or culture, will recognize the symbols and messages that warn of nuclear danger. Our commitment is to clarity, not obscurity.

The Church of the Atom is an experiment in long-term thinking. If our message lasts 10,000 years, the world will be better for it. If it does not, then at least we will have shared useful knowledge in our lifetime. We do not demand faith—only understanding. We do not seek power—only preservation.

We do not hide knowledge. We illuminate it.

The floor of his room in Lucky 38 was littered with bolts and screws, just waiting to be fixed into something more tangible. The Courier furrowed his brow, distracted by the frantic noises from the hall. Again. He had to hop through the trash to get to his door. "Hey, y'all, quick question – can a man have some fucking silence in his own damn house?" The noises stopped. Veronica looked at him, eyes wide and gaping from some sort of a mix between panic, pain and worry. "Six..." Ah. His guts felt like they were put in cold Siberian water. "No. Where's Boone? You were with him." The Courier paused, heartbeat quickening. He did not breathe. "He's still at McCarran?" Veronica could not utter another word. "Six..." The other people in the hall were quiet, standing around the corners, just... watching. Waiting, maybe. He did not know, and neither did he care. Finally, Gannon took the lead, laying a hand on devastated Veronica. He took a quick look at the back of her head. Injury? "McCarran was attacked by the Legion soldiers, Six. They... took captives. A captive." "...I see." Even though his palm now turned hot and sweaty, was still holding the door handle. He stood still, looking at every single person in this room – the people who's gone to battle with him, who took care of him, took care of each other and of the people that they all were oh, so tirelessly trying to save, day after day after day. The rage that he felt got nothing to do with them. He already has the crimson red look, so, well. With the level of burning, scorching, bloodlust rage he felt, this famous God damned Bull might as well be him right now. "Okay," he took a deep breath, exhale long and shuddering with anger. "Right... Get ready, folks. We're going to fucking war." He turned to Veronica, then. "You did good." If his smile was more murderous than thankful, well. His people would not hold a grudge.

Wei Wuxian should be able to get drunk for once. I think he'd either be singing bawdy drinking songs on the roof of the Jingshi or he'd be getting irrevocably lost no matter where he is. He's found in the bushes behind the mountains like a cryptid, and then he's like "I can't believe you all got lost" (extremely slurred) as if he didn't get embarrassed by something Lan Wangji had said and just somehow disappeared when everyone looked back at him

anyway heres wonderwall The Gang (Wangxian & their fave group of ducklings) in a city known for its STRONG wine and wuxian being like well. ur all grown now, youre technically not juniors anymore. we have to see whos lasting the longest against this stuff!, smash cut to a suspiciously wei ying-less group of the worlds drunkest cultivators being wrangled through the woods by designated driver hanguang-jun, with at least 2 of them clinging to his robes at all times.

He is very overwhelmed by the potency of the emotions he has about the situation. He’s very anxious about raising the child well and helping Twig do the same, he’s painfully aware of Twig’s terror at being a parent and desperate to get her to see that she’s great at it, and he’s dredging up a lot of the shame he’s had surrounding his powers and frantic at the idea of the child feeling similarly— at least before the dubiousness of her species is revealed.

On the opposite end, as he adjusts to having this tiny thing that relies on him and Twig for everything she requires, he starts to derive a lot of joy from that. Opal has complete and utter faith in him, and as terrifying as that is, it helps it click in his head for the first time that he’s a different person than he once was. She’s a baby. She doesn’t have an ounce of deceit in her and she doesn’t care about not hurting his feelings— if she didn’t like him, she would absolutely make that known. But she doesn’t. She likes him and wants to be around him. And that’s super scary but also super heartwarming for him.

The first time she transformed to match his appearance to signal her contentment instead of to ask for him is the moment all these realizations and positive feelings came at him like a freight train.
