Magnesium sulfate can be used for ventricular arrhythmia. I didn't know this. Had a pt who came in with new onset AFib with RVR and they gave him 2 mg mag sulfate in the ED (in addition to starting heparin [4000 units once and then 11 units/kg/hour] in anticipation of TEE cardioversion), and diltiazem gtt (25 mg IV once, then 5 mg/hour; overnight resident titrated it up to 10 mg/hour).

WIPtober 9: Twin RVR AU

Not so much a WIP as a thought experiment with a few doodles. Just my RVR Spicyhoney family if they ended up having twins instead! 

Flapjack and Waffle are identical twins whose magic color is only a shade off from the other, and they are very difficult to tell apart, especially because edge likes to dress them alike and Stretch does not lol.

Flapjack and Waffle are both clingy and needy, and have somehow completely mastered and failed at sharing. They need the same level of attention from the same parent at the same time or the 'neglected' twin will cry. Their parents can't just pick one of them up. And once they're held, they don't want to be put down like ever. Edge and Stretch have perfected the synchronized twin pick up. The twins are very mischievous- each other’s best friend but also very jealous of the other. Their parents are 8x more exhausted in this AU lol
