Hello (^_^) thank you... Your art is very beautiful I'm honoured... Sorry if this is kinda late(?) my brain works best when it's the middle of the night. I wrote this in my notes at like 3am...

My headcanons are really messy and subject to change so keep that in mind 🙏 Gonna put them under a read more cause they're pretty long and I rambled on and on.. Got carried away sorry!! Also it's kind of cringe at some points but that's okay. To be cringe is to be free.

Rus: My beloved... He's cute, yes, but also very creepy. (I love a creepy rus) I see him as this character that's always looming over everyone, always watching... He likes how docile and obedient Cana is, and with Ame... well... He likes the challenge.

He likes the arts... And I believe he's an incredible poet and dancer. I like to think that Rus spends his free time writing hauntingly beautiful poetry in a journal of his since there are a lot of beautifully written Russian literature... That journal could also probably work as his diary too because why not. He also does ballet and figure skating, and Ame probably calls him gay for it, this irks Rus but that's okay. He'll rip the tongue out of that American's loud mouth one day. He just has to be patient. (that last part is cringe but my rusame brain told me to write it)

For music I think he'd like classical (tchaikovsky) and metal. I also think he'd visit old abandoned buildings just to see the ruins. Maybe even appreciate the architecture? He finds beauty in the decay.

His relationship with Ame is a game of chess (Rus loves chess, so he loves whatever he has going on with Ame), each move calculated, each interaction charged with unspoken tension (they never reveal their love for eachother... the only time that would happen is probably in life-or-death situations but with their immortality that's practically impossible – actually you know what?? Scratch that. No confessions... Unless drunk or under the influence of something maybe.) With Cana, it's more like a delicate dance, appreciating his gentleness but always aware of the fragile nature of their bond – he's aware that cana and him are only really bound together through Ame.

Cana: Neglected boy (eng and fra both coddled Ame more) ... Envious of Ame but still loves him – he's frustrated. He knows so much about Ame but Ame knows nothing about him. Ame doesn't care enough to bother learning about him. It's unfair. I believe he actually has Kumajirou for comfort... But even his pet bear doesn't remember him (to be fair, he doesn't remember Kumajirou's name either.)

For music taste, I think he'd like shoegaze actually... it's calm yet messy-ish and it matches well with his vibe. (Totally not just projecting my music taste onto him)

He dislikes being in the shadow of his brother but he does appreciate his brother sticking up for him. Doing all the talking for him. He doesn't like new people usually. They never understand. (Never understand his freak.. yes Cana has a hidden freak to me.)

He genuinely gets along with rus. They're more similar than they initially thought after all. I mean they're both shy (to a point), both live in cold climates, both have weird relationships with ame... And both are connected through Ame... Rus and Cana both recognize that they are intrinsically tied together only through Ame.

Ame: Insufferable (put him in the eternal torture chamber!) Even so, Rus and Cana are still drawn to him like moths to a flame. Type of guy to test the limits of his immortal body... I wish Hima did more with their immortality because that is such an interesting subject. Probably has more DUIs than you can count. Has crashed a plane on purpose. No way you can be the United States of America and not end up crazy.

For the Cold War... Ame was genuinely disappointed when the USSR fell, he was like "well... what now...??" Because for several decades he had a villain to match his hero... But now that Rus fell off... what now? He misses the thrill and rush of it (he's a thrill-seeker... Type 3 fun typa guy). Also, he knew nothing would actually happen anyhow because of M.A.D (Mutually Assured Destruction) no one would actually drop bombs.. right? (they had a few close calls). Maybe the cold war was just one big edging session... (Lmfao sorry had to say it)

Okay adding to the above thing but the paragraph got too long for me. Another reason why Ame thrived in the cold war is that Rus had his singular attention on him. Just him. He loved that. He loved having all of someone's attention. He can't help it. He's just a girl! 🎀 (Kinda yandere-ish vibes but I fw yandere ideas so... Actually all 3 of them could be yandere in the right mindset.)

To me, Ame is the kind of person who thrives on adrenaline, always seeking the next big rush – he's also a huge sucker for attention. That's why he does the crazy things he does. For attention. After all, what is he without attention?

With Cana, well this is a me thing but I like to think that Ame is actually quite clingy with his brother.. He's one of the only people Ame allows to touch him.. Ame's not a very touchy person. Ame does crave genuine connections and Cana is one of the few that can offer that. They're each other's one and only brother after all. That has to mean something.

His relationship with Cana? Complicated... They seem good from the outside but Ame barely knows anything about his brother. Cana could say a million things about Ame but Ame could only respond with maybe a few hundred or so things about Cana – heck, maybe even that would be stretching it. Although, Ame does care for his brother in his own way, truly.

Last little thing I'd like to add: Ame has a collection of vintage stuff. I don't know why. Vintage things just scream American to me. Like old comic books..

You mentioned in one of the asks that some countries are like a prototype/based of our existing countries, like Germany=Mondstadt, Liyue=China, Inzauma=Japan....

So even though the language is more or less identical for you to make heads and tails in a conversation or writing in a book, the reverse side does not.

Creator!Reader who knows a couple of languages (plus points if they're atleast fluent or have a understanding of it despite not being able to speak said language) and being born from a country that doesnt have the same language as the countries Teyvat based off. Basically Spanish, Italian, Filipino, Scandinavian languages that also have their own way of writing.

Imagine feeling homesick and the only thing that keeps you occupied is the notebook and pen you have while the others converse in a meeting or in a hangout. You started writing in your tongue and re-reading it to relive memories.

Zhongli, AlHaitham, Albedo, Jean, maybe the Berry bros too (Diluc & Kaeya) get curious only to have a double-take and immediately thinks that maybe there is a forgotten land in Teyvat that has this language, I mean Morax stayed faithful to Liyue and Barbatos blessed his country with abundance of supplies and freedom. Teyvat gods and archons played favourites, so why wouldn't you as well? (Bonus: Khaenriah flashbacks) (also I know these arent enough characters but how should I know? I only have a handful of them and I ran out of Primos😭

The people from Akademiya though? I mean they went hard on theorizing and picking apart the language of their creator. Have you seen Matpat's descent to insanity the more FNAF continues to push out LoRe? Thats basically them because Teyvat doesn't have a country based on Creator's birth country. So when you come out of the kitchen, throwing your head back and laughing, "Sí, sí! It all tastes so close Xiangling! Gracias, thank you!"

You list it all, the quintessential: quesadillas, empanadas, tamales, chorizo (you had to combine at least 5 different spices to Mondstadt sausages to get anywhere close to the real thing) the dips obviously, salsa, queso, guacamole, and the easy street tacos, and finally the horchata, but also all the weird fruits Teyvat has with chile, like Sunsettias mixed with Harra from Sumeru or Lavender melons with Wolfhook berries… all surpringly pretty good

(the Sun-Harra combo tastes like mango, a sort of deeper taste of pineapple/kiwi and a sort of light orange taste? all with the nice addition of chile flavors, the Lavender melons and Wolfhooks helped imitate chamoy enough that your heart was satisfied)

…you realize you’ve just been talking about the last meal you had with your family/friends instead of the food after a bit, and Zhongli hasn’t said anything…

you trail off and look back over your shoulder (u were practically about to get your shirt in the imitation guac u were leaning so far over the table to point and talk)

you’re about to sheepishly apologize for taking over the conversation, and ask if he wants to try anything (Zhongli can handle spice so u dont have to worry abt that at least)

but as u finally see his face, u just stop, and dont end up saying anything

He’s just, looking at you.

his smile's not huge, but big enough to make his eyes look happy, and Zhongli’s just… looking at you.

You can’t describe the look he’s giving you, but you suddenly feel… a wave of shyness wash over your heart in your chest, because he’s looking almost like, maybe like, he’s sort of, waiting for you to keep talking, his tan skin warm in the golden rays of the sun beginning to set, you don’t know why you’re noticing any of these things, and he gently, slowly, makes a move to lean into your space a little

almost above your armrest, head inches from your shoulder, he finally moves to stop looking at you-

He looks like a painting as he looks down, his eyelashes almost sitting on his high cheekbones,

you have to move your head to looking at the table too as he moved so close,

you feel your shoulders reflexitively hitch upwards as you brushed the hair on the side of his head as you turned away

He looks around, and then moves his head, not his body, he’s still leaning toward you, to look you right in the eyes again

“Why did you stop? I haven’t said much, I apologize, but it���s only because I wanted to hear you without anything interrupting you.”

You cough a little strained, “Oh! Oh I get it now yeah, thanks-”

“I want to hear you more,” his black eyes begin to warm with gold, you can vaguely see the shape of his diamond pupil revealing itself, “I want to hear about… everything, if you’ll tell me? The language, the food, the drinks, your family, your dances, your country, I want to hear it all. Won’t you please let me hear your voice some more?”

the robots in all my doodles are sentient, like "OH GOD IM ALIVE" sentient. Most of them "wake up" right before or during battle, where they'll def see their own be blow up and stuff, so to avoid humans (and basically being killed for money) there are groups, or "troops" of robots, spanning from small groups of 2-4, groups of 5-9, to huge troops 10-20 in really rare cases, that live in the wild and travel from place to place, mainly on the North American and Eurasian plates.

They'll take to junkyards or abandoned buildings to find materials to strengthen their armor with, and also augment themselves to fit their personal tastes (like 1 of my little guys, Peremo, who is a pyro robot that has pyrophobia. rip bozo 😔🙏).

In my versions of the Red and Blu team, there are 1 robot for each team. Red has Socrates, a medic robot who had his right arm removed so he can hold other things while healing, and Blu has Vlad, a heavy robot that is basically doing the same thing as Red Heavy, killing people for money so he can take care of his family (but like... they Eat the money instead of using it to keep the lights on).

I'm devastated my Mathew Perry's passing. The last celebrity death that impacted me this much was Robbie Williams. Just to think that the "Friends" reunion can never happen now in any shape or form, kinda puts things into perspective for me and then all of a sudden the reality of the situation hits HARD. I remember when Robbie Williams passed, i literally didn't believe for an entire day that he's dead. I genuinely thought it's some sort of hoax or something, especially coz in those days I didn't have smartphone so all these celeb news weren't live (for me). So, so tragic. Gone too soon. RIP 🙏

Men like Robin Willians and Matthew Perry brought multiple generations happiness and comfort.  I hope Matthew knew he put a smile on a lot of people's face all over the world.  Even though Friends portray (idealized) American culture, the world can relate because it's about relatable subjects of love and friendship, it's timeless and even if some jokes are dated, young people can still relate to them. Teens who thought they were too cool for Friends eventually became fans as they pass through their 20s and reach their 30s because it's the time in their lives when your friends were your family. 

Even if you are not a fan of Friends, the show and its cast are inescapable. Matthew's death is shocking because not only did we not see it coming but for the fact that Friends will never be whole again. We always saw the 6 of them together, we all knew who they were. Those kinds of things always hurt, because you’ll never think of a world without people like them. The same feeling came about when Michael Jackson died, no matter your opinion and feelings about him, there was never a place where people didn't see or witness Michael Jackson in any capacity. That’s why his death was so shocking to the whole world. It also reminds me of Luke Perry dying. People had the same sentiment “someone from 90210 died?”  He was only 52 and died 4 years ago.

Friends has always been eternal, yes the actors age, but we all assumed we'd see them forever as friends.   Rest in peace Matthew, we'll never get another Chandler crashing a Matt Le Blanc interview. We'll never have a picture of Old Matt and Old Courteney to imagine Old Monica and Chandler. But Chandler's wit, sarcasm, and humor lives on to bring smiles to generations to come.

im soooooo emotion over dearly beloathed. it is so good as an epistolary work, and i genuinely feel like that format/style/genre worked really well for the story, it let us know the characters through how they portray themselves to others and who they are to different people/groups. i also loved how my understanding of Freth grew naturally over the course of reading it, I didn't notice until i was like "oh yeah that's just the culture there. ofc they'd do something like that" because it was so fluid and seamless.

every twist was well set up and just. it was crack-y and comedic, but those only made the emotional parts hit harder????

anyways. favorite random character/not main one. go! (i choose herohqphobic) also was there any like. reference or small thing (maybe characters who had different usernames across platforms or something?) that you loved and nobody seemed to notice?

I could genuinely go on and on about Freth as a city because it's based after where I was raised, Hong Kong. The superhero genre is most commonly associated with American comics. It feels like their cities are either in USA or USA-inspired. To me there's subconsciously an inherent USA vibe even if that's not the actual case. I felt the pull myself before going, hold on, I live in a city, it's a pretty significant city, and theoretically superheroes can exist anywhere.

I'm of course biased on this but Hong Kong is an interesting city with interesting implications if you use it for a setting. And especially because it naturally seems so "cyberpunk". Densely populated, gives off the impression of being highly urbanised, but 70% of the land is not developed. Has a natural harbour, next to the sea, at the mouth of a river, but is hilly and full of scenic spots. Well developed public transport system (if the rail goes down for half an hour it gets on the news). The city with the most skyscrapers in the world, has one of the world's highest life expectancy (I'm still confused by this lol), ranked 4 in HDI for 2022 (also confused by this 💀 like we're above Denmark and Sweden?).

I wanted Freth to be busy, hectic, fast-paced, rich, technologically savvy. A glittering city with heroes for celebrities. Freth is an important port which is why the heroes fight so hard to protect its infrastructure for the ~economy~. But then the government decides the heroes are getting too powerful and culls the herd.

Anyways. I love all the random characters. Flora balefires_thighs had quite the arc pivoting from Tach anti to Tach fan (and is still bitchless, rip), but I have to go with arcussy because I love that name 😭😭😭 like Arucs is their babygirl meow meow grown adult son who cheated and got "cancelled" etc but it's fine ❤️ they still love his annoying ass ❤️

Small thing that didn't get picked up on! The location names! I based a lot of those on existing places in Hong Kong— Triple Shark Territory (Tsim Sha Tsui), Cannon Hill (Fortress Hill), Crossway (Causeway Bay), etc. Lots of these names have animals in them, like Dolphin Bay and Starlingfield, and these are based after real species that can be found in HK— except for one. Ravenwood. I don't think ravens exist in Hong Kong, making it fitting for an underground human experimentation lab. I don't expect anyone to know this though, it's more of a fun niche trivia for myself.

I don't know if this is obvious or not, but Cora has a crush on Archie. And Reina likes Cora while Lyra and Ben are doing their whole situationship thing. The consequences of crushing on your best friend.

Final note: the four main characters spell out Blue Bats. Blue for civilian names (Ben, Lyra, Uma, Ethan (he chooses this eventually)), and Bats for (future) hero names (Balefire, A??, Tachythanatous, S??). The year is also 827 because Aug 27 is when the MCC9 teams dropped lol. 🤡

Hobby - Drawing: In general, I try and draw as much as I can. I’m pretty busy with school and friends and life in general but I will never pass up a moment to just doodle silly cartoon shit. I love cartoons, they are everything to me, and I will give me life to become in animator holy shit. I love it, I’ve been loving it since I was born dawg 🤙

Animal - Rhino: Literally no explanation for this except I love how majestic and cool asf they are. I went to the zoo once and I couldn’t stop admiring them guys, they’re absolutely gorgeous.

Character - Soldier: No specific Soldier for this cuz I love both of them. I wish he was real because I would die to meet him lol. My entire personality in a nutshell 💀 He is my life, he spins in my head on the daily and he makes me love being American lmao (RIP Rick May, you made such a lovable character, fly high man)

Color - Mustard Yellow: I have a beanie the same color as this and legit it made me love the color. That and I love mustard in general

Place - Quiet library: AND I MEAN QUIET, I love being social with people but sometimes I just wanna be left alone. Dawg, the library at my school is the shit, it’s so quiet in there and I can sit on a sofa and just chill. Great to relax 👍

Season - Winter: Unfortunately for me I live somewhere that does not snow at all. Which kinda sucks- BUT it sprinkle some snow every one and a while. It’s also just not about the snow but the weather, I like the breezy feel, the chilliness of it all. I can wear hoodies and beanies and my kickass baggy pants lol. And the blankets. My grandma got me this one comforter that’s immaculate, very comfortable, very soft. Love my grandma 🤙❤️

Song/Album - Void in Blue: WHERE DO I BEGIN WITH THIS SONG? The feeling I get actually has me ascending bro. The background instrumental the LYRICS THE ECHO, OMG THE ECHO THOUGH- my favorite part of any song is if it has an echoey effect to it, and THIS nails every part in the song. It’s great, please guys give it a listen it’s so good it’s like crack to me I listen to it on the DAILY

Food - Root beer Floats: I know technically it’s a drink but you could still eat it with a spoon, so I’d say it counts 👍 Anyways this shit is the bomb, love Rootbeer in general by FLOATS?? Amazing, I could eat them everyday if I could because they’re so good. Very refreshing. One time I actually went to Denny’s and asked if they had one and a nice waitress made me one lol, very sweet hole she’s going good 🙏 Also fun fact: I tried it in middle school and it became my LIFE

Maxwell lore please holds out plate like a starved Victorian child

OC Lore Pt. 4

I'll give some lore on Maxwell before how he is now!

Maxwell is a character apart of my Comic series called The Strangest Worlds. The side story he's in is called "Poppies of War".

Maxwell is a Brazilian minute man during the American Revolution during the 1770/1780s. Him and his friends, (Left to right) Northern, Jackson, Cicero, and Stefan...bonus for Jackson's dog Angel

He has many bullet and scar marks from many fights. Definitely the nurses were very familiar of him lol.

His mama and papa were both from Brazil but moved to Long Island close to New York due to issues with Portugal on Brazilian land.

However during that time in Long Island, the British had rule over that land, and when Maxwell's dad joined the American army and left for a while (to join the Americans or aka "rebels" as the British called them), Maxwell was very defensive of his mom (because in some areas, British soldiers would sleep in people's houses and were taken care of by the citizens).

A fight then resulted between Maxwell and a British Major, named Hans Hawkeye (another oc of mine) and a couple other officers, resulting in Maxwell getting jailed, but not hanged.

Him and is mother, with the permission of his father (before he died), went to another area that was own by the Americans...a fictional place called "Vulkanin". This place is owned or known to the famous Vulkan bloodline. Which also where he met his friends and other friends such as Astron, Selene, and Sternal Vulkan (plus their male calico cat Aster). And others such as Uaman and Yaasmine

During the war, he gets with Northern D'Rose, the trans french major yoohoo!!!/pos as Northern confesses he loves Maxwell. Later on when Northern accidentally gets killed and turned into a ghost by Hans (FUCK YOU HANS I'M GLAD YOU DIE IN THIS STORY FUCK YOU (this is my own oc btw HDNSKS)).

Later on he married Sternal (cus she loves him too and has a similar personality to Northern), he has 3 kids with her. Later on in his life, Initially he was going to fight during 1822 for Brazil's independence agaisnt Portugal, but issues resulted in his health from all those years of bullet marks unfortunately led him to health issues.

When he dies (like most of my historical characters), he dies last out of all his friend group, with a big smile cus he knows he completed his life to the fullest. :)

- you can now dress layton up in funny outfits and u can take his knickers off but not the hat

- in third person camera npcs now free roam and theres an action wheel you can use when you target luke to give him commands. one of the commands is “KILL”

- you can swap between controlling luke and layton and luke is the only one that can sprint and when hershel is following luke while sprinting he repeatedly stops and starts holding his hip in agony

- GTA laytonmobile or frog mech gameplay i need this like i need air

- a tense scene between hershel and the evil cowboy man except it’s got that luigi and bowser tension, where the evil cowboy grabs hershel by the chin and rips him closer until they’re staring each other down in the eyes. the evil cowboy’s hot breath is on hershel’s face skewing his barely visible bangs and it’s cold in whatever steampunk chamber they’re confronting each other in so the cowboy’s breath is visible with frost and warms hershel’s face

- all of this will happen btw im always right about professor layton and im never wrong

Baby Boomer Classics: British Sixties 1985 Pop / Pop-Rock / Folk

Folks, I've found a brand new series of comps to sift through over the next little while. Introducing Baby Boomer Classics, a collection from the California-based compilation label JCI that gathered together small handfuls of tunes from the 50s through 70s and tried to present them in some kind of thematically coherent way. These releases definitely appear to come with some pretty big hits on them, but they also seem to include songs that are less remembered and have been far removed from standard classic rock and oldies radio rotation too. So hopefully we find some good gems on these 🙏💎.

Today we start this journey with British Sixties, a brief trip into a non-Beatles, non-Stones, non-Who mix of pop, rock, and some folkiness that gives us a glimpse of some big UK tunes from a very pivotal decade. A number of these selections have been popular Stateside too—like my favorite one of this batch, Donovan's all-time folk classic, "Catch the Wind"—but one very good song on here that smashed in the UK, but didn't resonate nearly as much in the US is The Hollies' "Look Through Any Window."

Now, if you're an American, the two songs by The Hollies that you're probably most familiar with are "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress," which sounds like some CCR swamp rock, and "The Air That I Breathe," which Radiohead kinda ripped off to make "Creep," and ended up having to settle a lawsuit over it. Both of these were top-ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100.

But 1965's "Look Through Any Window," a nice and jangly piece of upbeat, radio-friendly power pop from an earlier part of The Hollies' career, is not a song that has fared nearly as well here as it did in the UK, having reached only #32 in the US, but #4 across the pond. And it's an oldie with a lot of loud energy to it that sounds like it still has plenty of juice left in its tank. It was certainly much more deserving of a better fate here, and feels a bit like a blueprint for some of the power poppers who would flourish in the following decade by trying to replicate this very sound.

So I'm not planning on going through these Baby Boomer Classics in rapid succession, but I am gonna be dipping into this series from time to time over the coming weeks, so you can look forward to that, or not 😅. Hopefully we can find some good, underappreciated stuff, though.
