the spark in his little sister's eyes is hard to miss when the girl calls her a princess. his smile widens as he looks at his sibling, bright eyes as she excitedly begins to sign her reply. wooyoung watches her, nodding his head as soft laughter leaves his lips.
"she said she wants to be like you one day," he continues looking at his sister as she signs, "and that you made her christmas really fun!" instinctively, he reaches down to pat her head, before he turns to look at the girl in front of him. it isn't everyday after all, that they meet performers ( idol trainees? he remembers that being mentioned somewhere ), out here in lotte world.
he's thankful though, that this stranger in particular has taken the time out to talk to him and his little sister. momentarily he wonders just how it might be like to be on stage too, to perform for people – how would that feel like? but he pushes the thought away, instead focuses on the present now.
"my little sister dances too. she's always wanted to be a performer, so she got really excited when she saw everyone up there," he explains, "she kept slapping my arm, i think i'm gonna get a bruise now," he jokes – gently rubbing his own arm.
"ah, i'm wooyoung, this is my little sister, woori," he continues, finally hit with the realization that he hasn't introduced himself yet. "you guys really were amazing up there! it was really great seeing you perform!" this time it's wooyoung's turn to be excited, genuine smile on his face. "you're like professionals!"
performing in front of a crowd was nothing new for eunbin. she's been doing this for years ever since she joined the cheer squad at her university, and she always lived off the energy an audience gave her. however, this christmas concert felt a little different.
it wasn't the usual university crowd nor was she performing the same songs and chants she had been performing. no, this involved singing and dancing and a whole bunch of other aspects that she never had to think about before. to say it was a walk in the park would be a lie because she had been shaking before getting up on stage. nevertheless, when she stepped on, everything felt natural again, and she really got immersed into the performance.
upon stepping down after the group performance, the trainees were given a bit of downtime. she's not sure if it was simply to relax or for them to look around the mall, but eunbin doesn't think she'd be able to do much anyway with how overly dressed she was. the stage makeup and outfit were definitely an eye-catcher, and she thinks that if she roamed around like this, she was going to end up on some vlogger's youtube video by tomorrow.
she's packing up her things when someone approaches her. swiftly turning around, eunbin offers a gentle smile before looking down at the little girl. "really? oh, that's so sweet!" she exclaimed before crouching down to meet eyes with her. "thank you. you look like a princess yourself!" she said, her eyes crinkling together as she couldn't stop herself from chuckling.

"you spoil your little sister too much."
it isn't something that's completely unheard of, wooyoung's heard it pretty often ( mostly from his father ). and while he's well aware of the fact that he does spoil his little sister from time to time, as he stands in this terribly cold weather, nose red and heat packs not nearly enough to help him feel even the slightest bit better, he realizes just how much he really does spoil her.
she'd mentioned wanting tteokbokki and hotteok after her dance classes, from the christmas market in particular, because she'd loved them so much the first time she'd tasted them, and who was wooyoung to say no to that? her eyes had looked at him with so much anticipation, well aware of the hold she has on her older brother.
still, the line is a lot longer than expected, and he notices that it isn't moving anytime soon. which is fine, really. her classes dont end for another hour-ish, and wooyoung's sure he'll at the very least be able to reach the front before then.
he jumps a little to try and get his body warm, before shivering. a gust of wind blows against his face, and momentarily he wonders if she reeeaalllyyy wants the street food. maybe he could get away with buying her some chocolates instead? he isn't given much time to think though, instead he's approached by a girl who he assumes is somewhere around his age, and before he can truly process what's happening, she's talking about food and asking him to wait and – what?
"what?" is all that he manages to say – until he realizes then again, that he can't exactly say no. not like she's giving him the chance to say no. it doesn't help that her ... enthusiasm... mimics that of his little sister. great. "oh, yeah. sure?" he tilts his head, but he makes no fight. "that's fine...!" he blinks, still in slight shock.
go piss girl.
@bewooyoung
staying busy is the best thing that yinuo can do for herself this time of year. sure, a flight home wouldn't be terribly long and jindallae is sure to give her the time off of work, but it's expensive and rent isn't getting any cheaper and... if she goes home, she might not come back. whether it's her parents convincing her to stay or situations beyond any layperson's control, it's a risk she knows she would take. but it's not like yinuo doesn't miss her family, especially during this time of year when loved ones are supposed to gather a little closer. she misses the warm, grainy smell of the brewery and the constant hope for snow that only very rarely fell. it's colder here in south korea. not by much, but enough that she notices it.
yinuo is a bright girl though, both in intelligence and temperament. she knows better than to dwell on things that can't be changed; wallowing in her own misery will get her nowhere. so staying busy and distracting herself from the loneliness in her tiny studio apartment is the best she can do in this situation. she make friends wherever she goes, so taking herself to the market to walk around and enjoy the lights and sounds and scents of holiday spirit all around her is no big deal even alone.
that said, she didn't exactly plan for this situation.
cold air and one too many coffees this morning has put her in a rather uncomfortable position, but she didn't realize it until just after she bought herself a hot serving of rose tteokbokki from a street vendor. yinuo will tolerate many things that are a little bit gross, but taking food into a public bathroom is simply not one of them, and it's not like she can just leave it out in the open for anyone to steal or mess with. ah, relying on the kindness of strangers is scary, but necessity demands it's either that or something far more embarrassing.
yinuo fancies herself a good judge of character anyway; she's intuitive like that. so when she spots a man roughly around her age with kind eyes, she hardly hesitates before approaching him. "hi! i'm yinuo, and i really need a favor, if you have a minute?" she doesn't give him much of a chance to respond before she continues. "i really have to go to the bathroom but i eat too slowly and it'd be so gross to take this in there with me so do you think you could just... hold this for a second so no one takes it or anything? i'll buy you a snack or drink or something when i'm back, it'll just be a minute, i promise!"

new years wish !
it's not that wooyoung doesn't believe in wishes, it's that he doesn't think they serve him very well. everything he's felt as though he's wished for so far hasn't quite come true — or if they have, they've come true in a weird twisted manner.
still, wooyoung wants to wish. he'd like to continue to wish. and so he does, he wishes for something as simple as he can, without putting too much hope into it.
family: wooyoung wishes for good health, he wishes that his family will continue being healthy and that they'll be happy throughout 2025. he doesn't wish for much else, but he'd like for his little sister to excel in dancing, and for her to have more opportunities to perform.
personal: he has no personal goals set for himself. wooyoung would just like his life to continue as it is – no troubles, no surprises, without the loss anything or anyone close to him. he wants to do well at school and continue getting paid for his job.
music: wooyoung does not dare wish for anything related to music, he's fine as he is, just being able to listen to music and enjoy it from afar is good enough for him. wooyoung doesn't want much else aside from that.

little fan // starter for @eunbinbe
he hadn't actually planned on witnessing a concert when he'd brought his sister to lotte world. if anything, it had been a sort of spur of the moment thing; the both of them resting in the living room watching tv the night before, when his little sister shoved her phone in his face with photos and videos of lotte world.
it's no secret, really, that wooyoung can't say no to his sister; ever the pushover when it comes to her, and so he decides to take her out the very next day. it definitely comes as a surprise to both him and his sister when they enter the amusement park, and are greeted by people rushing to the seats. in truth, he'd wanted to get on a ride first, but his sister had tugged on his sleeves, and dragged him to the very front.
"i want to see!" she'd signed, and again, unable to say no – he let himself be dragged. what followed suit was an amazing performance, music being played as he watched axis label trainees take the stage ( a part of him wonders what it might be like up there, performing for others, but another doesn't dare to delve deeper ). his sister though, has her eyes locked onto the stage. once the performance is over, she can't quite stop gushing about it, even as wooyoung pats her head.
she suddenly stops though, eyes widening as she points to a girl, dolled up and dressed nicely. "a performer," his sister signs, "she's so pretty! i want to say hi!"
wooyoung laughs, and despite a redness creeping up his cheeks, he once again is unable to say no to his sister and follows her as she approaches the girl. gently, he taps the stranger's shoulder.
"hi!" he greets, his little sister standing in front of you. "my little sister thought you looked really cool up there!" he smiles, watching as his little sister continues to sign. "oh uhm," his cheeks turn a little red, it's a little embarrassing but he continues on, "she said you looked really pretty, like a snow princess," he laughs.

making music // @bejoomi
it's not everyday that the bus is this empty. really, it isn't. wooyoung isn't so sure by what sort of stroke of luck he's hit with, when he enters the bus and sees only one other guy there. but it's a lot better than having to be needlessly squeezed and tossed around from side to side.
his hands are freezing as he takes a seat behind the boy, and he rests his head against the window, digging into his bag for his headphones. music is a curse, sure it is – it's something that he thinks he can never quite fall back into. but the only horrid part about it is making music. he's told himself time and time again that he can never fall back into it; that if he does, his heart might explode one day and everyone around him would be privy to the catastrophe that is his brain.
still, for what it's worth, he can't quite sit still on a long bus ride without at least listening to some sort of music. so he continues searching in his bag for his headphones, only to realize that shit, he's left it at home. great. music is a curse and wooyoung is an idiot with a terrible memory. he sighs loudly and takes a look at his phone. he'll have to handle at least 12 stops without music and the sound of the bus churning.
that is of course, until he hears a familiar sound playing. at first he thinks it's his brain playing tricks on him, a track that he's heard of before – not his own, but a friend's. a friend...? was that wooyoung would've called him? wooyoung's not sure, he doesn't even know the producer's real name, but they'd exchanged messages to each other here and there before wooyoung had decided to erase his existence with music from the face of the earth. still, it's odd for him to hear this out of nowhere, to even think about it.
he blinks a few times, shifts in his seat, before he realizes that the sound is coming from the guy in front of him. his eyes trail down to his phone, and it's only then when he realizes that ah – this guy probably didn't connect his earphones to his phone. no wonder wooyoung could hear his song so clearly.
it's a little amusing, really, but wooyoung smiles, before he taps the shoulder of the stranger gently. "your earphones aren't connected," he gestures to his ears. "i love this song, by the way."

sleep // starter for @beclaudine
wooyoung isn't too sure how he'd ended up in this situation. this one in particular. he isn't the most proactive person in his school club, and yet he'd been tasked to go around the campus, carrying items; and in true wooyoung fashion, he couldn't say no. it's finally done though – the event they'd held for a week straight.
he's sleep deprived now though, sitting on the bus in hopes that his eyes don't betray him. just a few more stops. just a few more. but what he craves, what he yearns for is a warm bed, a blanket to wrap around himself. his father's cooking.
the soothing movement of the bus soon lulls him to sleep though, and his eyes, already heavy, finally shut themselves. he goes from staring out the window, to feeling something soft against his forehead, dreams of himself surrounded by clouds, and a girl with long black hair
a particularly harsh bump on the road, causes wooyoung to split his eyes open though. and it's only then when he realizes the position he's in. head resting against the shoulder of a girl he doesn't know.
he sits up, cheeks a little red from embarrassment. "oh," he puts a hand over his mouth in surprise. "i'm sorry – i... are you okay? i'm so sorry!" he apologizes.
