It's not even that he's doing it on purpose, it's just anytime he does ghost things none of the heros are looking, and when they do have him in their sights he's just a normal person.

It probably wouldn't work for batman and his thousand cameras, but let's just say that it never got his attention cause no one in the league thought to mention it and the one time he did check it was just regular dude hours.

To the Justice league Danny is the humanist human to ever human.

Which is why they are so confused as to why this small branch of the government (mad scientist parents optional) is so sure he isn't.

I'm watching Justice League: War, and I'm sorry, but Green Lantern shielding himself and Batman in a green ball of light while Superman proceeds to kick them around Metropolis like a dodgeball is so fucking funny.

Bruce just saw the inside of three buildings go past real quick because they got punched through them by Superman, and he's relying on Hal to keep him alive. A man who a mere few hours ago accused him of being a vampire then went off on him for not having any superpowers and whose ring Bruce managed to steal with a sleight-of-hand trick to make a petty point.

His control freak issues must be screaming.

Maybe if a miraculous is broken, you can still use the powers but the kwami is either trapped inside the miraculous or can't maintain their form properly and are either basically a ghost unable to be heard, seen, or interact with the world or their form is basically falling apart or ever shifting?

Like, visually that would be heartbreaking, like in Duusuu’s case, she spent so much of the series being basically invisible, even to Nooroo.

HOWEVER.

You need the kwami to transform. Like, they’re the ones who activate the miraculous, so it wouldn’t make sense for them to not be able to interact with anything or be seen, but you can still use it. I mean, it would make sense if they knew the phrase beforehand, but it was a Graham de Vanily family heirloom, so I’m assuming only Emelie and Amelie know the activation phrase.

You know what it means when I’m indecisive!!

IDK ITS JUST. With the whole “broken miraculous means trapped kwami” idea I really really like it but it’s hard to execute in a way that can fit the narrative, especially regarding Emelie’s coma.

I’ll also have to change my seasons events to retconning Mayura (? She could still use it to avoid unification but I feel like Lila would prefer to use it instead, IDK IDK) and end Season 1 on him fixing it instead of using the miraculous and switch around a few other events.

I just hope it doesn’t change my seasons list too much to not make it understandable anymore!!

But imagine,, it’s finally fixed and Duusuu bursts out and we see the peacock kwami for the first time and she cries out “I’m free!!” And it’s the first time Nooroo sees her after soooo long :,)

Human Limbo sketch from forever ago 😵‍💫 Doctor no name because they still do not have one 💔

Limbo’s story in general has been a huge wip for ages, but it’s a frankenstien mix of my own and Mindcap’s official lore for Limbo, the story of a machine created by a greedy manager of a steel factory to up production but ended in it malfunctioning and killing everybody. The only way to escape being to choose the right key..

In my version this still takes place in the “gd universe”, human Limbo was the doctor of _____ .. running all sorts of experiments to aid human life because they were always under threat of the unstable world, demons,, they eventually became more and more obsessed with their work, ignoring the well being of their employees and just letting this project literally control their life as they worked tirelessly on it hint hint. The fatal accident still occurs where something goes terribly wrong but THATS still being worked on 🤪

I guess you can say they were… FOCUSED 🤣

one other thing that really makes me roll my eyes in dc fics is the insistence that the bats can take down anyone, even their most op teammates. like... you guys know a character doesn't have to be the most physically capable one in the room in order to be interesting or strong in their own right, right? look me in the eye. cass had to save tim from shrike. bane broke bruce's back. mind-controlled kon snapped tim's arm like a twig. trying to make them ~always~ able to counter even the most powerful opponents is so boring im sorry like they can and do lose fights sometimes, and that's interesting actually. they are all incredibly competent martial artists, yes! that doesn't mean they can win every single matchup. that's simply neither the point of nor the strength in their characters.
