This 1970 Pontiac GTO convertible was first delivered to the A.C. Morris Garage of Summersville, West Virginia, and during prior ownership it underwent a body-off rotisserie refurbishment that was completed in 2006. The car is claimed to be one of just 241 examples that were ordered with 455ci V8 and an optional automatic transmission for the model year, and it is finished in Burgundy over red vinyl upholstery. Other equipment includes a four-barrel carburetor, a Ram Air hood, a power-operated convertible top, power steering, front disc brakes, and a 12-bolt rear end housing a Safe-T-Track limited-slip differential. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2013 out of Arizona, this GTO convertible is offered in Missouri with refurbishment photos, manufacturer’s literature, build sheets, a reproduction window sticker, documentation from Pontiac Historical Services, correspondence with the GM Heritage center, and a clean Missouri title.
The car was finished from the factory in Burgundy, and the body was stripped, mounted to a rotisserie jig, and repainted during the refurbishment, at which time a replacement convertible top was installed. Features include a color-matched Endura front bumper, a chrome rear bumper, a Ram Air hood, and quad exhaust outlets with polished finishers.
Rally II 14″ wheels are mounted with 215/70 Firestone Wide-Oval tires. Braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and the car was optioned with power steering when new.
The cabin has been retrimmed with red vinyl upholstery (2254) as well as color-coordinated carpets and interior trim. Equipment includes front bucket seats and a rear bench, a woodgrain steering wheel, an AM/FM radio, and an 8-track player. A pre-delivery-style instruction tag is attached to the steering column, and Pontiac-branded rubber floor mats line the front and rear footwells.
The turned metal and woodtone trim-accented cluster houses Rally instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows under 96k miles, approximately 50 of which have been driven by the seller. True mileage is unknown.
The optional 455ci V8 features a four-barrel carburetor and a Ram Air hood, and it produced a factory-rated 360 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine stamping shown within the gallery ends in 0P121234, which matches the final eight digits of the car’s serial number. Additional identification numbers are presented in the gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through an optional Turbo Hydramatic 400 three-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear end housing a Safe-T-Track limited-slip differential. Additional photos are provided in the gallery to illustrate the underside, drivetrain, and suspension components.
Photos showing various stages of the refurbishment are depicted above.
Additional items accompanying the car include manufacturer’s literature, build sheets, a reproduction window sticker, documentation from Pontiac Historical Services, and 2012 correspondence with the GM Heritage center confirming the car’s specifications and equipment, photos of which are provided in the gallery.

My idea for a potential DEATH BATTLE! #10
2024 jun 22, 25
PREVIOUS POST
Steve vs. Emmet Brickowski
MASTER LIST
Tenya Iida vs. A-Train (My Hero Academia vs. The Boys)
Battle of the superhuman society speedsters!
THUMBNAIL
FIGHTER 1: Tenya Iida, the next Turbo Hero Ingenium.
FIGHTER 2: A-Train, the Seven’s speedy Supe.
Wiz: Time waits for no man, and society maintains a perpetual state of rush hour. There’s always someone to save, something to do.
*insert clips of Sonic X’s “Gotta Go Fast” and its cop chase scene from Episode 1, Barry Allen and Wally West, Formula 1 Racing or NASCAR, Pixar’s Lightning McQueen, and Dreamworks’ Turbo*
Boomstick: These two superheroes are always living life in the fast lane, but whose drive will let them survive this Death Race? He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.
PREFACE (What to know):
I’ll be looking primarily at the Amazon show rather than the comics and using the Garth Ennis comics as secondary sources. For Iida, I’ll be focusing more on the manga. Also, as much as I want to focus on character interaction, because holy cow, the potential for it is palpable with these two, I don’t know how much of it I can fit. You’ll see why soon.
WHY:
Connections (What do they have in common):
1. Both are speedsters in superhuman societies with blue and gray coloring, and use eyewear (Iida’s glasses, A-Train’s goggles). Their naming is also themed after engines, Iida’s hero epithet the Turbo Hero Ingenium and A-Train is named after a train.
2. Both form/formed part of respected and/or renowned superhero associations (UA High School for Iida, Vought Corporation and The Seven for A-Train).
3. Both have older brothers who helped improve their speedster skills that introduced them to self-harming methods for improving their speeds (Iida rips out the mufflers in his quads and A-Train overuses Compound V and increases the risk of cardiac arrest severely) that also end up crippled and unable to walk again, provoking both to attempt revenge kills that nearly costed them their lives.
4. Said revenge drove them to their lowest points and marked turning points in who they were not just as heroes, but as people. Iida began to be more protective of his friends, culminating in him and the rest of Class 1-A saving Deku from himself. Iida even told Deku that the essence of heroism is meddling when you don’t need to, which was what Deku said when saving Iida from Stain. A-Train killed Blue Hawk in a time when he was beginning to feel genuine remorse for his murders and collateral damage. He went to Hughie and genuinely apologized for killing Robin, and he feels that life sucks because Nate hates him now.
5. Both take up the role of a previous speedster hero. Iida takes up the role of the aforementioned Tensei Iida who was the previous Ingenium, and A-Train fills the spot in The Seven left by Mister Marathon.
Personal reasons (Why I want this battle/like this MU):
My Hero Academia vs. The Boys. UA High School vs. Vought Corporation. Student of Heroics vs “Hero”. Quirk vs. Compound V. Speed vs. Speed. In general, I love the idea of MHA vs. The Boys and how they portray the idea of the superhuman society and the incredible crossover potential. Imagine a story that takes place in a world where both Vought and UA exist. Are The Seven heroes of world renown like All Might? How would the world of Quirks react to the idea of a chemical that can give individual superpowers? How would Deku, our initially quirkless protagonist, react knowing that maybe could have avoided so much childhood trauma and other very disgusting things if he had that chemical? Would Endeavor have abused it when attempting to becoming #1 or when training Dabi and Shoto? Would All For One have tried to gain a monopoly on the substance or go against it? Would he order Dr. Garaki to replicate it? What about Hero Killer Stain’s reaction to Compound V and the super commercialized Supes brought to us by Vought? Would he just go on a bloody crusade or join The Boys? Would Billy Butcher accept Stain or just think of him as a lunatic? What about Overhaul’s reaction to a compound that does the opposite of his quirk killer bullets? So much stuff to write fanfiction about.
What I like about this matchup specifically is how contrasting the two are as people:
Iida is upstanding and upright. He wants to look after his friends after his attempt at revenge and live up to his family’s legacy of generational heroism. A-Train wasn’t born with his powers, rather he takes what is essentially a needle drug to give him powers, and wants to be the fastest. To quote The Boys Fandom, “He'll do whatever it takes to remain in The Seven, because he knows it's only a matter of time until a younger, faster challenger takes his place — and that's a problem even the fastest man in the world can't outrun.” Will Iida be that new and young challenger despite not being a candidate for The Seven? Would A-Train get Shockwave flashbacks? Would Iida try to be like Deku and attempt to understand what led A-Train to the point he currently is? Would he be empathetic to wanting to exact revenge against someone who crippled a dear older brother? I think Iida would be empathetic, but disappointed that A-Train chose to turn his life around only because of the consequences that affected him. A-Train is a cautionary tale to Iida and should remind him of Stain’s values, and Iida could be A-Train’s saving light. A-Train may not be a total monster, but he is still more monster than human.
THE FIGHT:
Art and animation:
MHA has, as of me writing this, appeared three times in DB! and only one was animated in 3D, and when DB! did their Seven Battle Royale, all characters that participated, including A-Train, were in 2D pixels. It’s most likely a 2D fight. Maybe we can get some well-placed hand-drawn bits and pieces like Mob vs. Tatsumaki to emphasize some of the cooler moments.
Possible setup:
At a hero convention held in Dagobah National Stadium done as a collaboration between UA High School and Vought International. We see Deku fanboying over the superheroes present and Hawks talking to some Supes and Vought executives. The stadium is full of cheering fans, looking onto a racing circuit. There are also lots of cameras streaming the event onto the world wide web.
From all around the stadium we hear, “Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for coming to the UA Vought Convention! Our first event is the Charity Race! Get ready for the supersonic action between our speed icons, UA’s Ingenium and The Seven’s A-Train!”
We cut to our heroes at the starting line, stretching and warming up. Once done, Ingenium outstretched his right hand, “May the better speedster win!”
“Oh, I plan to. You’ll be eating my dust soon.” A-Train doesn’t even turn to face Iida and leaves him hanging. As A-Train gets into running position, Ingenium is taken aback by his fellow hero’s rudeness. However, there is a race that is about to go underway, so Ingenium puts on his helmet and gets into running position as well.
A-Trian isn’t worried, this kid isn’t Shockwave. He had made sure to take a little extra Compound V just in case, though. He’ll win this one for Nate.
“Gentlemen! Start your engines!” A man a safe distance from the two is wearing a lot of safety gear and padding. He holds up a gun, and Iida’s engines are revving.
There is a gunshot and both are off at sonic speeds. Unfortunately, in this hero society, there were a lot of rabid fans that were dying to get up close to see their idols in action. Let’s just say that one of those fans was about to have their wish granted. A spectator had fallen onto the race track, right in front of the racers. Ingenium notices and slows down.
“Look out!”, but A-Train just splatters the person into pieces like he did Robin and continues running. Ingenium, now angry, goes after his fellow speedster.
“Stop! You have just killed a civilian!”
“Shut up! I will win! I can’t stop for anything! I’m the fastest man in the world!” Maybe taking that little extra V juice was a bad idea.
Iida catches up and attempts a kick. A-Train notices and meets Ingenium’s kick with a punch of his own. He’s really hoping Hughie wasn’t watching.
FIGHT! :
1. The bloody murder had caused shrieks and panicking among the fans. The announcer was doing his damndest to calm everyone down. “Everyone, please do not panic! Exit the stadium in orderly fashion!” Ingenium and A-Train’s hits meet and they keep running, but Ingenium attempts another kick, resulting in A-Train grabbing his leg and throwing him into a wall and grants A-Train the lead in the now futile charity race. As A-Train completes a lap, Ingenium times his next attack, and successfully tackles A-Train and attempts to apprehend him, but A-Train escapes the stadium and Ingenium follows.
2. The fight has now broken onto the streets outside. A-Train is causing some more deaths, and Ingenium is staying behind to make sure that the collateral is reduced. Ingenium tackles A-Train once again, but they stumble. They land on a river and then continue their chase running on the river.
3. They get off the river and into traffic, sending pieces of trash and paper flying. We get a perspective of A-Train’s point of view from his season 1 fight against Starlight (when everything looked to be moving in slow motion), running at Ingenium and decking him squarely in the helmet, cracking it a lot. This sends Ingenium crashing into a building. People are fleeing and screaming out of fear. Before A-Train can get run and another hit in, Ingenium’s engines start to flare up, and A-Train is suddenly hit in the gut. Ingenium had used Engine Boost, and having punched A-Train hard, attempts to subdue him while he has the advantage.
4. A-Train does not give Ingenium the chance, pushing back and kneeing Ingenium in the gut. A-Train and Ingenium then run onto a subway track. As they continue trying to punch and kick the other, they dodge oncoming trains as well. Unfortunately for Ingenium, this gives A-Train the chance to grab him again by the leg, and A-Train attempts to kill Ingenium like he did Blue Hawk, and wears down Ingenium’s armor. Unfortunately for A-Train, however, Ingenium is neither Shockwave or Blue Hawk. Ingenium activates Recipro Burst, and his engines burn up A-Train’s hand. Ingenium gets up and produce a strong collision between that sends them flying out of the subway tunnel and back onto the streets.
5. Ingenium attempts to quickly subdue A-Train, but he can’t. Recipro Turbo has now worn off, and A-Train gets Ingenium on his knees, and repeatedly slams Ingenium’s head against the pavement. “This wasn’t supposed to happen! I was supposed to win, to prove to everyone that I was above that f*cking racist Blue Hawk! I was supposed to get my brother back on my side with this race! I barely patched things up with But YOU came along and F*CKED IT ALL UP FOR ME!” Iida is having a hard time listening to A-Train since his head is about to suffer a concussion, but… Is he feeling… Sympathy? He wants to earn his brother’s love again? “Now you’re going to suffer like your slow-ass brother before you…!”
6. No one insults Tensei Iida, because no one knows Tensei Iida like Tenya Iida. Now furious, Ingenium elbows A-Train and punches him hard and both struggle to stand. Ingenium finds some ice and applies it to his legs, and he feels a lot of relief. “My brother was a hero! He risked his own life to protect the lives of others! He… He paid for it so hard… But you! You blame me for the consequences of your actions!” A-Train is now royally ticked off, and injects more Compound V into his legs, and Ingenium tries to intervene. “You take drugs?! You dare think of yourself as a hero?!” It wasn’t Trigger, Iida thought, but that’s for later. A-Train had jacked up his speed more, and punches Ingenium again before he could get closer. They start to run again. Iida quickly gathers some ice to cool himself off, and with Recipro Extend, Iida is off. However, he is still too slow, and A-Train starts to really lay it into him and he can’t see him coming. “Give up, kid!” Compound V has now made A-Train even faster than he was before, and Ingenium is getting hit from all angles, but Ingenium activates Recipro Turbo and successfully catches A-Train. They try to run, and while they can get good hits in, A-Train is even able to fully break Ingenium’s helmet, both are effectively near their limits, but they can’t stop.
7. A-Train tried to strike Ingenium in the leg, but it was a grave mistake, as the hot engine severely hurts A-Train’s leg. It wasn’t completely for nothing, as A-Train even damaged one Ingenium’s mufflers. Both are sent tumbling to an empty main street with considerable distance from each other. Ingenium crashes into a train, severely denting its side and A-Train is sent into a train station.
8. Now, it’s all or nothing. “I will beat you. I… Will win… Because I AM THE FASTEST MAN IN THE WORLD!” A-Train gets up and gets ready. Across from him is Ingenium. “You may be fast… But I can’t give up! A hero never gives up! My brother didn’t, and my friends didn't give up! I will do what they all did…! I have to go BEYOND!” Both are ready to fight. A-Train tries to inject some more Compound V. F*ck, this he is going to pay. Iida starts to overtax his thrusters. He’s been storing some energy, and he’s ready to unleash it. A-Train runs so fast that the pavement starts to crack with every step, and Iida unleashes his Maximum Speed, and shouts “PLUS ULTRAAA!” Their speed is so great that the glass in all buildings nearby shatters, and the pavement is left dust.
9. Iida wins by A-Train succumbing to a heart attack. Ingenium is able to kick A-Train first and sends him back into the train station. A-Train had already abused Compound V, and with him overexerting himself, he feels his chest hurt and simply doesn’t get up. Iida crawls and limps his way. “I’m sorry… But these are the consequences of your actions.” We then see some ambulances arrive
10. A-Train wins by getting in a killing blow first. A-Train’s chest hurts, but victory is close at hand. As the two speedsters close in on each other, A-Train simply strikes first. He punches Iida into the ground so hard that his head bleeds. “Told you…” We see A-Train panting, and then he runs away as ambulances start to arrive.
11. KO!
RESULT:
Strengths and weaknesses:
Iida:
+ Is generally the more mentally put together and smarter of the two.
+ Has more martial skills than just running fast.
≥ At his fastest, Iida could likely move faster than Dark Shadow who could time lightning. This is a HUGE stretch, but Iida, at his fastest, could be faster than A-Train. Iida has only gone faster since then.
- Costume does not really serve as armor as Stain was able to cut through it.
- Iida is left a sitting duck after using Recipro Turbo and Recipro Burst.
A-Train:
+ Better perception. (supposedly)
+ Stronger as he could pull a train (ba dum tss) in Season 1 of The Boys.
+ Even if Iida was faster, A-Train has more consistent showings of his speed.
≥ Arguably more durable if he can withstand ramming himself into people so fast they turn into just blood on pavement.
- Overdosing on Compound V is fatal to himself, compared to Recipro Turbo which only momentarily incapacitates Iida (is this still possible with his heart transplant?)
- A precise strike could leave him incapacitated, like when he was hit in the back of the knee when he was trying to intimidate Hughie by kidnapping his dad.
Ending puns:
"A-Train simply couldn’t handle the s-train."
"Iida cer-train-ly met his match today."
MUSIC:
Name: Top Gear
The name makes reference to both characters being speedsters with an engine naming theme. Iida has mentioned that his speed works in gears like a car (Quirk Assessment test), and both have a max speed mode in Recipro Turbo and an overdose of Compound V which would be both of them shifting to their max gear.
Art: The cover shows a vial of Compound V rocketing towards the front via the Engine’s Recipro Turbo with Iida’s glasses and A-Trains goggles flying away. The speed is so much that the vial is cracking under strain. There are blur lines all around the speeding vial.
Sound:
I want to take inspiration from songs like Michael Jackson’s Speed Demon, Golden Earring’s Radar Love, or Deep Purple’s Highway Star to reflect A-Train’s need for speed, but to stay truer to the characters, I decided to look at songs that represent them.
The song starts off like the first 30 seconds of “QUIRK” DON-PACHI with its robotic sounding intro, like revving engines, ending with a “Ready? Set, GO!” like A-Train’s theme, Faster to kick off the race. The song maintains a fast-paced beat, sounding like Faster but with MHA’s rock/electronic instrumentation. Speed is the name of the game, and so it should be one of the core feelings of this song, like Way Past Flash.
As the fight ends and the killing blow is dealt, the song starts to become Iida’s theme to reflect somberness. The winner may have survived the deadly ordeal, but now they have another burden to bear.
FINAL THOUGHTS AND WORDS:
The creative juices for this one just FLOWED. I had a lot of fun making this one. Maybe it’s because it’s built on a potentially strong crossover, maybe it’s because I really wanted to put my ideas for character interaction onto text. Maybe because these characters have little in the way of abilities so it was easier to write for them.
Also, not going to lie, I genuinely questioned if A-Train really even had physical weaknesses. His heart transplant fixes the damages from his previous heart, but wouldn’t an overdose or abuse of Compound V still cause a heart attack? I can definitely see him trying to use more of it in order to remain the fastest and especially in the face of someone like Iida, young and fast. I don’t completely understand, and it’s very likely I'm doing something wrong, so if you do understand, let me know. :)
IDEAS THAT I HAD:
1. Starts at a hero convention between UA and Vought because the idea makes a lot of sense for a crossover or a charity race for black communities that got sponsored by Vought because A-Train wants to fix his image.
2. Shockwave flashbacks. Kid is also naive, a pushover.
3. Fight starts with A-Train killing someone like he did Robin, Iida gets disgusted and tries to stop A-Train.
4. Enter a subway tunnel or bullet train track and pass by a train to reference their naming schemes.
5. A-Train insults Tensei, Iida takes offense, and the fight is taken up a notch.
6. A-Train spills on his situation with Nate and his murder of Blue Hawk, Iida is empathetic but must stop A-Train.
7. Iida reacting to A-Train taking Compound V.
8. Recipro Turbo vs. Mudman reference, Blue Hawk murder reference
9. Damaged legs.
10. Plus Ultra Recipro Turbo Vs. Compound V overdose
11. Fights with punches, kicks, and maybe chops.
12. A-Train kills Iida the only way he should: like he killed Robin. However, he feels remorse because now, he killed a kid and his image is absolutely going to tank.
13. Iida wins by Recipro Burst kick, and deeply apologizes for taking A-Train’s life before he could fully redeem himself. A-Train never got to apologize to his brother.
14. Running on water
15. Turn Dagobah stadium into a thunderdrome, or have a race around the city like in Cars 2.
16. Something involving a spy for future MHA vs. The Boys episodes.
THANK YOU AND I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS!
NEXT TIME…!
Groudon is facing off against its mortal enemy, Kyogre. There may be rain, but the sun is shining.
Groudon starts to charge a Solar Beam, but then is pulled under and doesn’t fire the Solar Beam, causing the clouds to obscure the sun. Kyogre is also struggling to control the waves as they are going against its command, until a fist made of water deals an uppercut to Kyogre’s face, staggering Kyogre a bit. The fist of water lands meters in front of the Sea Basin Pokémon, and it morphs into Chaos.
It is a time of crisis, and so Chaos has re-emerged.
There is too much water.
Chaos vs. Kyogre (Sonic the Hedgehog vs. Pokémon)
--------------------------------------------------
I like this idea! To be honest, I remember Brandon Yates making a track for this battle, Compound Engine, and it was a pretty solid track from him. Personally, I HATE the Boys, though I can see the hype around it AND I can also recognize the power they have. A-Train, as I see him, is supposed to garner sympathy as this profession athlete figure who could easily be replaced, but him giving half-felt speeches as an "apology" just writes him off as just another athlete using his fame to get away with ACTUAL murder. Very O.J. of him.
That said, as much as I would love for Iida to inadvertently kill A-Train from his own stupidity by taking Compound V, I think the alternate take in which A-Train murders Iida fits in better with the powerscaling, since Iida isn't really that powerful compared to other speedsters, especially when you include his engine limits.
As for the next fight, might I suggest you look into Brandon Yates other work, Primal Chaos?

"Hola, @GretaThunberg, tengo 33 autos.

It's been a while since my last rant about automotive industry, but here we go again.
As a premise, i must say that this will probably be more valid for EU than for the rest of the world. Also expect a LONG post. So.
Hybrids and EVs are surely more efficient and "clean" than the average ICE car. But, as a car enthusiast, i'm very aware that technology end efficiency are expensive, definitely not for everyone. Here where i live we get bonuses for changing old cars with brand new "eco-friendly" ones, but only if they are old enough. Bonuses that, anyway, even in best cases will cover less than a quarter of the price of a new vehicle.
Most importantly, and that's something i learned the hard way, no institution will give you a single cent for the running costs - and they're high running costs. And about (stupidly heavy) EVs, electricity now is so expensive that the cost-per-km is the same of regular gasoline, so no real advantage. I remember when the seller told us that the simplicity of the powertrain meant less service costs, it was quite the opposite. Moreover, we were forced to service the car at their shop, at their prices, because they were the only ones who knew how to work on those components. Oh, and it was the only way to keep the warranty valid on expensive parts, too.
I had a (second hand) hybrid, like my parents. But i went from precarious worker to student and i'm unable to find a proper job while i'm studying due to some issues with my mental health, so my income suddenly dropped to zero. Keeping the car is expensive and in three years, when the warranty expires, the value will decrease drastically (a new battery could cost until 8k euros, nobody would buy a car with that risk). So i planned ahead and sold the hybrid car to get a cheaper one with decent quality and safety, reasonable running costs, free from the blackmail of our official dealer and easily fixable by any mechanic.
The problem: the most reliable and most fuel-saving version of that model on the second-hand car market (and well, basically the only one i found nearby) was a Diesel one. And Diesels are EU's scapegoat for the increasing air pollution, so Countries are forced to make laws to stay within certain limits - that's not bad itself. The problem is that private cars, depending on the sources, are only between 10% and 20% of the total greenhouse gas emissions.
But it's easier to wage war against citizens than corporations who are truly responsible for that 80-90%. And i'm not talking about those wealthy citizens who already got their fancy Tesla, but those who literally can't afford a new car (for any reason). This is a class problem.
There are "old" Diesel cars which still require less fuel than modern, high-end Diesels that satisfy the new requirements for mass production. A 10 years old 1.4 Diesel will always require less fuel and pollute less than a 2-tonne mild-hybrid "environmentally friendly" 3.0 Diesel BMW or Audi. Oh wait, it gets better: ironically an Euro 5 Diesel could be stopped from traffic while a brand new 1500 hp quad-turbo W16 Bugatti Chiron can roam around in the city centre on the very same day. But hey, the Chiron is not an evil Diesel. Once again, this. Is. A. Class. Problem.
Forcing people to go hybrid/electric with restrictions is repression against low-income classes. There could be so much more that can be done if private transport really is the root of all evil. Like a bonus that covers 100% the price of a new car (oh btw, an Euro 5 Diesel is old enough to get stopped on certain conditions, but not old enough to receive a bonus). Or investing in bio/synthetic fuels so people can run their older cars with carbon neutral emissions - but that'd make the poor automakers angry as they couldn't sell their new hypertechnological cars. Or provide new catalysts for free to install on older cars - but also that would make automakers quite angry. Or governments could also consider doing something about intensive farming (y'know, that thing that sends methane into atmosphere which is 84 times worse for global warming than CO2), or better public transport, or heavy industry, or invest in nuclear so we can stop burning fossil fuels for energy (i know this is gonna cause a shitstorm lmao, i believe safely stocking radioactive material under layers of rocks in sterile zones is better than keeping on produce greenhouse gases), or anything that doesn't involve the private life of people already struggling with ever-increasing prices of goods.
"B-but there are exceptions to traffic restrictions" sure, but it's hard to satisfy all of the requirements. One of them is quite easy to get anyway: it's a certificate that you're on the route from home to work or viceversa - you can pollute if you produce. Using an old car for free-time? Nope. Getting groceries? Nope. Sounds dystopic as hell, innit?
Don't get me wrong, technology and research are good, hybrids and EVs are fascinating and surely relatively more efficient. But not affordable by everyone, nor a permanent solution for environmental problems: not only for batteries, but also for the energy required to charge them, and the fossil fuels still needed for hybrids. A lot of research is still needed but, while we wait, we should stop pointing the finger at who can't afford to buy and sustain a new car.
Now, i know what you're thinking: "but you could've got another non-Diesel model and save even more money" maybe you're right, but for me the choice of the car is very personal and important, there are many criteria i have, picking any cheap shitbox is not an option for me if i have a decent budget. Laws can change, safety and reliability don't. There are good cars out there which only problem is bad laws made against them. Cars that can perfectly run and could end up in a junkyard only because of these laws, that's the opposite of sustainability, that's forced consumerism. Plus, it's not only about me, but also and most importantly about the millions of people that get screwed everyday and have no fucking choice.

thoughts on the BMW *inhale* B57D30S0 engine (a.k.a. the 50d motor)? y'know, the diesel one with the 4 turbo's.
It also seems to be quite common (at least where I live) for how silly it sounds on paper. Like, I see 50d-badged Bimmers on a weekly basis.
I can tell you, for one, that I should start setting up donations for my blog, considering if quad-turbo 5.0 liter BMWs are that common where you live a buck probably matters more to me than you XD
That aside... I honestly cannot figure out what it is for. Whoever is getting a 5.0 BMW is miles past any point where fuel economy is any concern at all, so what is the point? Performance? I mean, sure, short of getting involved with Alpina or such tuners you have no way to top 760N/m of torque, but who cares about torque enough to spring for a quad-turbo inline six and cares about horsepower little enough not to get the petrol V8 and literally get 99% of the torque and 32% more power? I can't imagine much of an advantage in noise (especially nowadays that it seems the noise luxury cars make is just whatever you want them to), nor any price differential that would matter to anyone buying such a car new.
I mean, one reason my mind would normally go to is driving excitement, but hell, the most exciting car it was ever mounted on was a 5-series, and far be it from me to say a large sedan can't be exciting, but I mean...
youtube
...look at this POV. Every second of this video I am asking myself "So what" and I am not seeing a ton of compelling answers. This is not even the most exciting way to go real fast in a specced-out current-gen 5-series, so what's the point? My only guess is to make going 260 the least exciting experience possible. And I understand that can be appealing to some but I am usually on the exact opposite end of the spectrum. (Usually. I do love me a good E38L V12.)
So for me, this 50d is best left off. Especially because then it spells 50d Off and I am a baby so that's funny to me.

Cons -
All though the phone is good, it's battery life isn't as great as it's redmi competitors and another thing which spoils the reputation of this phone is the new OxygenOS 13 which is buggy sometimes and the OG Oneplus fans aren't happy abt this either cuz OxygenOS is turning into RealmeUI.

Last up we have the Realme Narzo 50 pro 5G. Overall it's a good package and will get your daily needs done unless you like taking a lot of photos and videos then i wouldn't recommend this phone for that. Its not that it can't take good pics or videos but, it's competitors can take better ones.
