Trying to force myself to slow down a lot this year. It's okay that I'm not reading as fast or as often as I did before. It's okay that I don't write as fast or as often as I did before. It's okay that I'm not engaging in things I once did as often. It's okay to slow down without feeling guilty about it. No one is running after me with a damn bat. I don't need to be so hard on myself for no reason so I can keep finding the joy in it.

Our scene opens on a Little Mr. Puzzles!~
Started brainstorming this yesterday and finalized the design + colors tonight! I can guarantee you that in my heart of hearts I am a firm believer that as a child Puzzles was the most energetic, optimistic, sweetest little boy. He wasn’t always messed up in his methods for maintaining control and I wish we could all collectively take a moment to think about that smol child within that still wants to be loved and cared for. Because social rejection and isolation sure does take a toll on you after a while once you’re cut off from your peers and rely solely on T.V- geez poor guy had it so rough huh
So of course I had to make up my own design/personal rendition of child Mr. Puzzles! Gave him braces that resemble the colors of his future T.V head teeth, leaned into that retro clothing look and made it into a homage to film production (since I recon even as a kid he’d be a nerd about behind-the-scenes process of making movies lol). So there’s film reel patterns + projector icon. Last notable detail is the puzzle patterns on the hat & shoes as foreshadowing to his future (aka present day) Puzzles design :))
Very proud about how he looks here very adorable and precious

All the craft groups I’m on because I like seeing people’s creations seem to be full of people making blue fucking puzzle pieces and talking about cure rhetoric.
Some of them respond well to having full facts about how fucking awful Autism $peaks, ABA and eugenics are when I drag all the trauma, the eugenicist discourse from medics I dealt with during my pregnancies, the terror I feel about how my wee brother could be treated, and why I personally would shy away from anyone wearing a blue puzzle piece for them. Others apparently would rather scream “hater”. I’ve been called a “TikTok autistic” more times than I can count.
When TS Eliot said “April is the cruellest month”, he had no fucking clue.
I’m so tired.

They Took My Fucking Eyes Piglet
[Image description: a 9 gif stimboard; from left to right.
First line: A reverse gif of a Winnie the Pooh jigsaw puzzle creating the illusion of the pieces being removed. A gif of someone crushing soft clay in the shape of Winnie the Pooh's face with their hands. And a gif of a Winnie the Pooh squishy being squeezed so the bear disappears inside a honey pot.
Second line: A reverse gif of someone piping facial features onto a Winnie the Pooh cookie. A cropped image taken from the 'they took my fucking eyes' comic. And a reverse image of someone piping the eyes and nose of a Winnie the Pooh cupcake.
Third line: A reverse gif of someone drawing facial features onto a Winnie the Pooh cookie with an icing pen. A gif of someone pushing two fingers into a pot of slime, the slime has flower and Winnie the Pooh charms and they are swallowed as the slime folds over into itself. And a reverse gif of a timelapse where someone is painting a Winnie the Pooh mural.
End of image description.]

A tale of puzzles and kitties! Someone dropped this puzzle off at the library while I was there so I got first dibs... And then Cammy decided to try to steal and eat the pieces.
She bit one in half. I glued it back together, and it's a terribly cute puzzle when finished!

Fuck Autism Speaks, I'm taking back the puzzle piece. I like how it looks. I like when it's the pieces together with nothing missing.
I'm gonna poke out the eyes of Autism Speaks.

The Problems Associated With The Puzzle Piece Used to Represent Autism!
The title of this post is also the Title of the article I'm in the process of writing!
In this article, I explain my fondness for puzzles and why I associate my self-diagnosis with a puzzle piece, but different from the Autism Speaks puzzle piece, and I discuss the nitty gritty of Autism Speaks and the harm they've caused to Autistic individuals!
The first image reminds me of the Autism Speaks organization and its workers gathering around to have a conversation, on how to gain more donations by spreading more lies about Autistic individuals,
Do you agree??
What are your thoughts on this??

Okay so I tried to figure out what Frida (Big Mama's assistant) would act like.... and she may just be my favorite character ever.
Tumblr media
(there is literally no videos/gifs of her, so take these screenshots)
The "cannon" description of her is that she's so adamant for the rules, that it's kind of silly. Given that and the factoid that she's probably been raised by Big Mama, I tried doing some characterization.
NOTE - I have only seen rise and read a lot of rise fan-fictions, so I can't use anything from other versions, but if anyone who has seen the other versions has some suggestions, let me know!
Frida, daughter of Big Mama, gained a few of her traits. The main one being that she is a master negotiator. Her favorite past time is making deals with people and getting rewards from it, not because she changes the terms like Big Mama does, but because she finds loopholes and has people agree to her original terms. She never breaks a rule, just exploits them.
(My sibling watched a masterclass on negotiating and it had a bunch of morally questionable tidbits that I think would be SO FUN in a character. Things like: "Empathy doesn't mean you have to be nice to them, you just have to know what makes them tick." "A no is worth five yes's" "When someone is lying, try to use a warm, slow voice" "Let people know what they will lose if they don't do the deal"....)
She has half the battle nexus loyal and/or in debt to her.
Tumblr media
Despite her stoic exterior, she genuinely enjoys figuring out what makes people tick. She sees emotions as logical consequences of their personality and experiences, and they are quite fun to play with. Not maliciously... it's just fun. She is hyper-observant and can read someone pretty well, but it's her simple questions that slowly evolve into deal making that make all the hidden city lawyers afraid of her.
As far as illegal activities go - since most of what Big Mam does is illegal, much to her annoyance - she's actually one of the main reasons the Hidden City council cannot bring up a single point against Big Mama. Frida wouldn't dream of breaking rules, no. Rather, she has so much more intellectual enjoyment of discovering loopholes to the rules, using every one of their laws to her favor, making her and her mother's activities 100% legal.
As far as mystic powers go, she can understand it - they are based on emotions after all. But she can't make it work for herself. If Frida herself cannot control (read: suppress) her emotions, then the others (read: Big Mama) can control me, and no no no. She needs to be the one in control.

i realized that in my head I’ve been unconsciously headcanoning Jin-Chul as half Russian descent.
gimme a second to explain okay wheeze
the more i look at Jin-Chul (especially his manhwa counterpart portrayal) i remember that one boy who lived in next apartment to mine when I was little.
/side note I was born and lived near Baikal lake so there were many Yakut and Buryat people as well as Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Mongolian people/
and so that boy was actually of russian-korean descent and surprisingly enough had almost blond hair and was really nice (like yeah whole idea is based on fact Jin-Chul has non classy natural hair color for Korea so—)
anyway just think about jin-chul being half russian descent and then he pretty much doesn’t even know it because he was taken to Korea back when he was really young and then ended up in orphanage for one reason or another and was an outcast because he looked differently from others—
