so a lil bout me if anyone wants to be moots: (i also have a backup in case i lose this acct, it’s the same username but the “e” in lethal is 3)
you 1,000% do not need to read all of this, however i truly think it is super helpful considering i was raised by a dietitian.
im pro-recovery JUST BY CHOICE NOT FORCE. so PLS JUST BLOCK DONT REPORT. we all have backups and backups for our backups. so it’s pointless. you’re breaking up a community where we get support. so fvck u if u report.
my “rexie tips n tricks” losing weight healthily yada yada yada is below the cut if you’re interested!
cw: 180lxs 81kg (i know it got out of hand 🥲)
gw: 130lxs 58kg (doing everything i can to get here by christmas)
ugw: not sure, just wanna see my b0nes. maybe 111lxs (50kg)? (gimme that angel number baybeee)
lw: 145lxs 65kg
so basically, if you do these things i can guarantee you 100% will lose weight. if you’ve plateaued, if you’re just starting out, if you’re trying to take it slow after relapsing, even if you’re petite and need a metab boost to start loosing lxs again, i’m not saying it’s good to be apart of this community but im along this ride w ya so. here u go.
1. keep your e@ting window as small as possible aka eat to live don’t live to eat (the r3xie motto 🤪). i’m f@sting minimum 16:8 and i try to extend that. but major thing is don’t beat yourself up if you can’t make it 16hrs and be happy the days you can make it longer!! esp if your just starting out.
2. stay low c@l. i’m trying my best to stay under 500 c@l/day. and consume that how it works for you. if five 100 c@l snacks over 8 hrs work best some days that’s ok. if OMAD works best, great! my mom is a dietitian and i promise, eating a little of each food group (dairy, carb ik scary, protein, veg & fruit) will help your metab which in the long run will help you l0se more weight. sometimes just having one protein bar mid day works 4 me. others i need a full meal. fuel your body or you will burn muscle which leads to organ damage.
3. don’t do LONG term fasts. i’d say up to a week with heavy liquids is okay. and not just water, incorporate broths, mio, even sugar free jello is good (if it’s clear typically it’s ok) but long term fasts can lower your metabolism, deplete electrolytes, and sodium, which long term is going to bloat you, keep weight on (or make you gain it back quickly), and overall make you feel like shit (which could lead to hospitalization)
4. don’t eat refined sugar or refined foods. do literally AS MUCH AS YOU CAN to eat sugar free and whole foods. i have a major sweet tooth so i turn to sugar free jello/pudding, sf caramels, halo top ice cream if i REALLY need it. otherwise i do sweet fruits and veggie based substitutions for carbs. i use cauliflower rice, zucchini noodles, or there’s these great hearts of palm noodles.
5. eat tons of fiber!! laxatives will help momentarily, consistent fiber will keep your 💩 regular thus keeping your body from holding onto it aka extra lxs. i add unflavored benefiber to a lot of my drinks (the flavored ones have added sugar). i honestly could promise you that fiber will help with shedding !bs.
6. drink as much water as you possibly can. yes you can become over-hydrated so add electrolytes or legit just a lil salt to your water here n there. but your body is going to retain water (!bs), and bloat if you are dehydrated. #1 thing to remember is you are depleting your body of what it wants. finding a way to basically trick it makes it easier and quicker to lose fat.
7. stay distracted! discipline and hunger may hurt now, regret and guilt are going to hurt 50x worse later. a grumbly tummy is not worth it. get some motivational phrases, tactics, distractions, that work for you and RELY ON THEM. water, i use mio in mine when i’m desperate, gum, diet soda, bubbly water, reading, tv, ANYTHING. i have other reblogs with some good motivational tactics. i also look at th!nspø as well as pics of my own body multiple times per day to keep me on track. YOU ARE NOT ALWAYS GOING TO BE MOTIVATED SO YOU MUST BE DISCIPLINED. i repeat that to myself 100000 times a day.
8. incorporate foods/drinks that speed up your metab. coffee, green tea, spicy foods (pepper, cayenne pepper), cinnamon, B12 there’s sooo many. and this goes hand in hand with making sure you’re getting your vitamins. picking up a general multivitamin will help make it so your body doesn’t want to cling onto every last cal it’s fed.
9. exercise if you are mentally & physically able to. i have some other limiting factors which make me unable to go to the gym or get as many steps in as id like. an avg day is 2k-5k steps for me rotting on the couch. i PROMISE like 100% money back guarantee (srry bad joke i swear im not a damn ana coach 🙄) your diet is 1,000,000x more important than any exercise you’re going to get in. exercise will help with toning so i try to get some laying ones done on the couch but dude you burn calories just existing. so if you eat lower than that which is 1k-2k (you can look it up it’s your TDEE) you will lose weight. it may be slightly slower than if you walked 20k steps/day or worked out 5 hrs every day but give it time.
literal str8 up proof of this^^^ is my father. he’s a gym junkie like going every morning at 4am (insanity but not my kind), but was eating a lot, and garbage. high carb and sugar intake. and even though he was working out A TON with a lot of steps/day he was gaining fat. he came to me and i told him str8 up to eat less and stop treating his body like a dumpster. eat healthier. homie is shedding lxs.
so besides all that, if you wanna be moots ill probs just vent and post th!nspø
SORRY IM A CERTIFIED YAPPER

ZOSAN: End Of Pardise Chapter 1
Tumblr media
ZORO'S POV
I must admit, I've been skating on thin ice of luck. My old man, Mihawk, kept me sheltered from the gritty underbelly of the mafia scene for ages. Sure, I knew what pops was up to, but I minded my own business. Getting tangled up with those unsavory types was never my cup of tea.
Or so I told myself. Then along came Sanji. Curse that stupidly handsome Sanji. The day he sauntered into my life was etched in my memory like a tattoo; September 15, a day to remember.
Everyone in the hallway stopped dead in their tracks as Sanji strutted past, paying no mind to the gawking masses. Confidence dripped off him like sweat on a summer day. And why wouldn't it? He was hotter than a furnace. Decked out in rebellious glory—long tees, shredded leggings, boots bedazzled to the nines, and a touch of eyeliner that screamed rockstar.
Silent as the grave, too. Almost eerie. Rumor had it some poor soul ripped his tongue out for getting too cozy with the wrong girl. To add to the mystery, nobody knew a lick about him. He was a lone wolf even during lunchtime.
Intrigued, I decided to play detective. During class, I'd catch him shooting glances my way, a smirk playing on his lips. Was he interested in me, or was I just imagining things?
The mystery deepened during lunch one day. My buddies and I had just polished off our meals when I spotted Sanji slipping out the door.
"Where's he always sneaking off to?" Luffy wondered aloud, his gaze following Sanji's disappearing act.
"Maybe he's a loner," Robin mused.
"Yeah, noticed how he shies away from girls," Nami chimed in.
"Maybe that tale about some dude punishing him over a girl is true," Usopp shrugged.
"Alright, let's play detective," I declared, rising to my feet, Luffy and Usopp trailing behind me.
Call me nosy, but I had to uncover the mystery behind that blonde bombshell who'd been renting space in my head for weeks. Why'd it always have to be blondes, anyway?
But as I followed him, I stumbled upon something I hadn't expected. An older man, stepping out of a sleek red sports car, escorting Sanji away without a word. The sight left a bitter taste in my mouth. Was this guy Sanji’s sugar daddy?
Sanji's POV
Leaving school midday was always a gamble, especially when my dad summoned me with a text during lunch. Being the Consigliere of the Mafia, though, it was par for the course. While others in the gang had their roles, there were certain tasks only I could handle. Maybe it was because I was the youngest member, or maybe it was my knack for blending into the shadows and slipping through the cracks.
“So, what's my mission, Pedro?” I asked as our car sped away from the school.
Pedro, my silent companion and fellow spy, glanced at me from the driver's seat. “Your mission this time is to infiltrate the Charlotte's party.”
Years ago, Pudding had played me for a fool, her deceit staining our once-promising connection. Now, Dad spoke of arranged marriages and alliances as if my heart were just another piece on his chessboard.
But this party—just the mention of Blackbeard sent a chill down my spine. His name carried weight, a dark cloud looming over even the toughest of us.
“Blackbeard,” I repeated, feeling the gravity of his influence.
Pedro nodded gravely. “It’s risky, Sanji. But your father insists.”
“This is going to be one risky assignment. But we have no choice here. I don't know what Father's intentions are, but there's only one way to find out.”
As we returned home to prepare for the mission ahead, I braced myself for the storm brewing on the horizon.
Father greeted me with his usual stern demeanor, and I steeled myself for the conversation to come.
“Did Pedro brief you?” he asked, his eyes piercing through me.
“Yes, but I'm still unclear. Why him, Father? Going after Blackbeard will only stir up more trouble for us.”
“Indeed, but I've made a shocking discovery, son,” Father began, his voice low and intense. “Remember your accident years ago? Turns out that bastard was keeping tabs on you.”
He handed me a document, and as I scanned its contents, my blood ran cold. “Your mother was informed by her sister, Isolde—part of the Italian Mafia, by the way—that Blackbeard wanted to kill her as punishment for a bad trade.”
The revelation ignited a fire within me. “What's the plan, Father?”
Normal POV
Sanji arrived at the party venue dressed in a sleek black tuxedo, his disguise of choice for blending into the shadows. It was situations like these that made his job as an assassin all the more convenient. After all, who would suspect a blonde teenager of harboring such deadly secrets?
That's why they called him the Angel of Death—his presence unnoticed until it was too late. It was his double life, navigating the treacherous waters of high school by day and the dangerous underworld of espionage by night.
Being homeschooled had shielded him from prying eyes, but now, as he mingled with the crowd, he couldn't help but feel exposed. His father's decision to send him to high school had seemed odd at first, but then he met a certain Marimo—a certain Zoro—who added a new dimension to his life. But thoughts of Zoro had to wait; now wasn't the time.
To protect his family's secrets, Sanji had adopted a facade of silence, distancing himself from his peers. So imagine his surprise when he spotted Zoro standing next to who he suspected to be Mihawk Dracule—his own father. Mafia ties, it seemed, ran deeper than he'd realized. His mission to observe Blackbeard suddenly became more complicated.
As Zoro's gaze met his own, Sanji felt a flutter in his chest. What was he doing here? Before he could contemplate further, Mihawk approached him with boisterous greetings.
"Ah, Sanji! Look at you, all grown since the last time I saw ya!"
Zoro's glare didn't go unnoticed as he questioned their connection. Sanji, deciding it was time to drop the act, revealed his true self.
"Our fathers know each other. No big deal," he said with a nonchalant shrug.
Zoro's surprise at hearing Sanji speak was evident. "Why the silence in school, then?"
"Some secrets are best left hidden."
Zoro's attempt at lightening the mood with a joke about "sugar daddies" earned a chuckle from Sanji, though he quickly corrected the misunderstanding.
"Dad's driver, Pedro, is hardly a sugar daddy," Sanji retorted, the tension easing slightly.
Their moment was interrupted by the arrival of Helmeppo and Pudding, casting a shadow over the conversation. Zoro's protective gesture didn't go unnoticed by Sanji, who appreciated the support.
"The only losers I see here are you and your companion. Seriously, that suede suit? It's so outdated, it hurts my eyes. And don't even get me started on that princess outfit—it looks like something a child would wear to a tea party. Do yourselves a favor and upgrade your wardrobe, pronto."
With a well-timed insult, Zoro deflected the awkwardness, leaving Pudding and Helmeppo fuming as they retreated.
"Thanks," Sanji murmured, a hint of gratitude in his voice.
"Don't mention it," Zoro replied, the tension between them momentarily forgotten in the heat of the moment.
"You know, you clean up nicely in a tux," Sanji observes. Zoro chuckles. "Funny, considering I despise formal wear. But since Papa Hawk insisted on dragging me here tonight, I had no choice."
Sanji nods, suspecting that Zoro's father wants to gradually introduce him to the Mafia world. "You look stunning tonight, Curlybrows. Quite the departure from your usual rocker look at school."
Sanji laughs, knowing Zoro would bring that up. "Oh, this? I enjoy dressing up. I don't attend many events like this, but when Dad needs a representative, I'm the go-to person. So I make sure to look my best."
"Your beauty truly shines when you're all polished, with minimal makeup," Sanji smirks. "Is it just me, or do you have a soft spot for blondes?"
"Maybe," Zoro replies.
Pedro watches their interaction with a grin. Compared to the other potential matches Judge had suggested for his son, this one feels different. The fact that Sanji chose Mihawk’s son over the others is significant.
He always knew Sanji had a type, but he never imagined it would be Mihawk’s handsome son. He immediately informs his boss.
"Boss, I think we might need to reconsider marrying Sanji off to that girl."
"Has someone caught his eye?"
"Mihawk’s son Zoro. He's at the party, and he and Sanji seem to have great chemistry."
"Is that so? Perhaps we should invite Mihawk and his son over to solidify the relationship, then."
At that moment, the party's host arrives, and fear grips Sanji as memories flood back, overwhelming him until everything goes blank.
This is the first part of the story. Things are heating up as you can see.

Research different cultures and try new desserts on this day!
History of National Dessert Day
The origin of the word dessert comes from the French “desservir,” a word which here means “to clear the table.” This, of course, referenced the dish that came after the clearing of the main dishes served as part of the meal. The earliest references to the term dessert being used are in the 1600’s and arrived at the same time as the concept of serving a meal in courses, letting each part of the meal be its own experience.
While it may seem like a no-brainer now, the idea of serving a sweet repast following the main meal wasn’t something that was always done. Those masters of decadence, the French, were known to serve a sweet wine as an aperitif, and it didn’t take long before the concept of sweet followings to the main dish became commonplace.
The birth of the sugar and honey trade helped to bolster the idea of dessert as it became easier to obtain sweeteners, though for a long time it was still known as a lush decadence reserved for the wealthy.

How to Celebrate National Dessert Day
National Dessert Day encourages us to celebrate by selecting our favorite delicacies and indulging in them, while also exploring the ever-growing number of options we have to experience in the world of sweets. There are so many to choose from cakes, pies, fried dough, chocolate, tarts, candy, jellied desserts, and pastries; it’s all about choosing how you make them and what to make, and maybe even where to make it?
Dessert can happen at home with family, or you can pick them up from your local store, and there’s always grandma’s house? The only important question on National Dessert Day is “What is your favorite dessert, and how would you like it?” Maybe there’s an old family recipe or something that the bakery down the street made fresh that morning. Whatever you decide, National Dessert Day is your opportunity to indulge in your favorite treats and maybe relive some old memories while doing so.
From rich chocolate to sweet strawberries, there are many desserts you can make on this day. How about Sticky Toffee Pudding? This is a British classic. For those that are unaware, Sticky Toffee Pudding is a delicious moist sponge cake that is made with finely chopped dates. The star of the show is, of course, the toffee sauce that is poured over the top.
If you fancy something a bit more modern, how about Green Tea-Coated Chocolate Mousse? Green tea is a massive hit in desserts at the moment. The Strawberry Cobbler is another dessert worth a mention. For something spectacular, serve it with cream cheese and warm vanilla seed custard. It is warm, comforting, and will melt in your mouth.
Or, what about Sicilian Lemon Tart? The balance between the sweetness and tartness in this dessert is spot on. We could go on, and on, and on, and on… after all, there are so many delicious and mouth-watering desserts out there! All you need to do is a quick search on the Internet and you are going to find plenty of exciting recipes to try on this day.
Another fun way to celebrate National Dessert Day is by watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. When you think of sweet treats and chocolate, this is often the first thing that comes to mind. It is a great film, and it is something that all of the family can watch. So, prepare your dessert, whether it be an ice cream sundae or a comforting apple pie, and get yourself comfortable in front of the television so that you and the family can enjoy a good movie night together. What could be better?
If you are really feeling adventurous, you may want to try making your own dessert invention on National Dessert Day. After all, the best recipes out there usually started as a bit of trial and error. Get plenty of different baking ingredients in and have fun experimenting with different flavors.
You could even turn this into a bit of a bake-off competition with your family or friends. You can all have your own ‘workstation’ and then you can try everyone’s desserts to see who is crowned the winner. It’s always fun to do something a little bit different with your loved ones, isn’t it?

“I have cake in my eyes.” “Yeah, and I have cake down my shirt!” “Then just take off your shirt.” feels very Willex to me
Willie normally loved parties, but this was just not one he wanted to attend. Unfortunately building international relations was important, thus instead of relaxing in his bedroom back in DC, here he was in Buckingham Palace, observing the hoy piloi and wondering how long it would be until they cut the obscenely large cake.
Seriously, who needed a cake bigger than an average human being for a wedding? He bet it would be dry and full of like custard or coconut. Ew.
The other reason he didn't want to be here was standing across the room in a morning coat, complete with frigging tails and enough badges and sashes to make a beauty queen jealous. Prince Alex, second in line to the British Crown, and Willie's sworn enemy.
Was it petty to declare someone your enemy over a stupid disagreement at a youth summit three years ago? Sure. Did Willie care? Not in the least. But he had promised Caleb he'd be nice, thus avoiding Alex like the plague.
That unfortunately meant he was stuck by the sidelines, as it was kind of hard to avoid the brother of the bride even in a space this large. Hearing the whispers about Olivia's choice of groom, feeling the side long glances that shot his way. Trying not to flinch when they called him 'tramp' and Caleb worse.
Look, he knew he wasn't Caleb's biological son, but that man loved him more than anything, taking him from the group home when he was very young. Told WIllie he was done waiting for the right guy to make a family with. He'd asked his friend Clementine to help make a baby, but she wasn't able to donate the eggs thanks to complications, Delilah was trans, and Caleb didn't want to have a baby that some errant mom could try and take. So adoption it was.
The road from owning a dinner theatre in LA to residing in the White House had been an interesting one, but Willie got right out there and supported Caleb, picketing for votes right from the outset. Sure he had no interest in politics himself, preferring art and skateboarding, but he was always willing to help out his dad.
So those disparaging comments always stung, and he was never in a position to clap back. Just clenched his fists and blew out a breath, reminding himself he was not only representing his family, but his country itself.
"Okay there Covington?"
Willie turned and there was Alex, smirking at him and nodding to his fists. He shook out his hands. "Fine."
"It all getting to you?" Alex asked, surveying the room.
"It's not all bad, food is dec," Willie replied. He had been gorging himself on all the passing trays of appetizers, and figured that this was their meal. He'd rather sit down and eat at a table, but hey, if this was how the rich did it... "Waiting on cake." He nodded to the table they had found themselves next to on their turn of the room.
"Only the top and bottom are real," Alex whispered. "Rest is all styrofoam. I think Livvie has some sort of pudding ready to serve."
"Like chocolate or full of fruit and nuts?"
"The latter," Alex confirmed.
"Ew."
Whatever Alex was going to say to that was lost as a drunk duke or lord stumbled into them, pushing them down. Willie tried to catch himself, but he just managed to catch the edge of the tablecloth instead, pulling all seven tiers of buttercream monstrosity down on top of them.
He and Alex sat there for a moment, stunned, and Alex winced. "I have cake in my eyes."
“Yeah, and I have cake down my shirt!” Willie retorted, scooping a glob of frosting from his face. Eugh, it tasted rancid and overly fake. Probably a good thing he didn't eat any of it.
“Then just take off your shirt," Alex replied. "Seen you do it often enough."
Willie grumbled. "You do one topless photoshoot for Rolling Stone and it's all people see."
"I didn't say it wasn't a good shoot," Alex replied, blushing. Then swore as he saw guards and one very irate looking bride thundering towards them. "Shit, we gotta go before we end up in the Tower, or worse."
Willie found himself pulled up (wow, Alex was IstrongI, must be all the polo) and pulled through the palace, giggling as he saw the dumbfounded faces they passed by. Collapsing in a simple looking bedroom covered in posters of rock stars and pictures of friends. Plus a very happy looking beagle who came and tried to lick them clean.
"Shoo David!" Alex said, stripping off his coat. He then looked at Willie. "I'll get you some clean clothes, you can take the first shower."
"David, really?" Willie asked, scratching behind the dog's ears.
"After Bowie," Alex replied, handing him some comfy sweats and a pale pink shirt.
Later that day, still hiding out in Alex's bedroom, Willie couldn't say they were still sworn enemies. What they were was to be determined, but his kiss swollen lips and new contact info on his phone made him think the future of inter country relations looked pretty promising.

Get ready for Monday in corporate hell
It's Sunday night and I'm already getting the creeps. I can't enjoy my peaceful time at home, because I can't stop thinking about what awaits me tomorrow in corporate hell 👹. Here I'll try to share a few tips and tricks on how to survive the dreadful Monday with some upfront preparation.
Plan some meals/snacks for the week
I do not pack lunch for every day, but on Sundays I try to prepare something extra to take with me on Monday morning. Some fancy overnight oats or chia pudding with fruity toppings waiting in the fridge surely makes it easier to get up at the crack of dawn.
Lay out a favorite outfit / plan a weekly rotation
Usually I like to plan my outfits for the workweek at one go. Instead of frantically searching for an acceptable shirt in the morning , I lay out everything at night while blasting music or listening to an interesting podcast.Looking good at work instantly helps with my confidence. You can also use a fave outfit to form a protective shield around yourself, to express your individuality under the corpo mask or to power dress in the hope of career advancement.
Get up a little big earlier
I know, it sounds controversial. I can't bring myself to do this everyday, but I found that if I add in a little bit of extra time first thing in the morning just for myself it can really make a difference. I percieve the day as longer, and work as less significant in it. I usually do some studying or just pleasure reading at this time, but I highly recommend stretching, meditation or working out too.
Schedule something fun for the weekdays
For the humble droid in corporate hell time is of the essence. I try to schedule something to look forward to during the week to avoid feeling like I only live on the weekend. Be it a spa night at home or a quick catch up with a friend over lunch I try to romanticise my life as much as possible.
Get distracted
If the anxiety really starts to kick in,the best thing you can do is to distract yourself to the best of your abilities. Put on music, do a quick workout, call up a friend. The key is to immerse yourself in an activity of your choice, that will not leave you any room to think about anything else. Don't even try to relax, that won't work. Play a videogame, crochet, bake, do whatever you like doing that requires your full attention. If you lack the energy or motivation, put on an immersive comfort TV show and wrap yourself in a blanket. This might do the trick too.
I hope this little list will help somebody the way it helped me. Now it's time for me to go and scream into my 🚿.
Kind regards,
awkwardwitch

Christmas Dinner Near Me: The Perfect Festive Feast
Tumblr media
The holiday season is here, and with it comes one of the best parts of Christmas—dinner. Whether you're in charge of organizing a family gathering, a small get-together with friends, or simply want to treat yourself to a night out, finding the perfect spot for Christmas dinner near me can be tricky. There are countless options out there, from traditional roasts to more adventurous menus. Let’s explore how you can make your Christmas dinner one to remember, all while staying close to home.
Why Christmas Dinner Matters
Christmas dinner is more than just a meal. It’s a tradition, a time to gather with loved ones and celebrate the joy of the season. The right Christmas dinner can bring everyone together, create lasting memories, and fill your heart and stomach with warmth.
But what makes the perfect Christmas dinner? Is it the food? The ambiance? Or maybe it’s simply finding the best Christmas dinner near me that fits your taste and style. The good news is that there are many places offering festive feasts, from cozy pubs serving classic British roasts to high-end restaurants with unique twists on holiday favorites.
Choosing the Best Christmas Dinner Near Me
When searching for a place to enjoy your Christmas dinner near me, it’s important to think about what you want from the experience. Are you looking for a traditional roast, complete with turkey, stuffing, and all the trimmings? Or are you more interested in trying something different this year, like a seafood spread or a vegetarian Christmas dinner?
Some people prefer the familiar comfort of a traditional Christmas dinner with all the staples: turkey, roast potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and Christmas pudding. Others might want to shake things up with modern, inventive dishes that take the spirit of Christmas and turn it into something fresh.
Traditional Christmas Dinner
For many, Christmas simply wouldn’t be the same without a traditional meal. Roasted turkey is the centerpiece of a traditional Christmas dinner. Surrounding it are all the usual suspects: rich gravy, roasted vegetables, crispy potatoes, and perhaps even a Yorkshire pudding. Then, there’s the stuffing—spicy, herby, and hearty—complemented by sauces like cranberry or bread sauce.
At the end of the meal, Christmas pudding takes pride of place. This dense, fruity dessert is often served with custard or brandy butter, offering a rich, sweet conclusion to a festive meal.
Alternative Christmas Dinners
While a traditional Christmas dinner has its charm, some may want to try something different. Maybe you’ve had the same meal every year for decades, or perhaps you’re ready to explore other flavors and cuisines.
Many restaurants are now offering alternative Christmas menus to cater to this adventurous spirit. In recent years, there has been a growing interest in plant-based diets, with more and more individuals choosing to embrace a diet that is primarily composed of fruits, vegetables, grains, and legumes. While this may be seen as a trend by some, the truth is that a plant-based diet has been around for centuries, and with good reason. Not only does it provide numerous health benefits for our bodies, but it also has a positive impact on the planet. In a world where climate change and environmental sustainability are becoming increasingly pressing issues, choosing to nourish our bodies with plant-based foods can not only improve our own well-being, but also contribute to the greater good of the planet. In this article, we will explore the advantages of a plant-based diet, from its impact on our health and the environment, to its accessibility and affordability, and why it is becoming a popular choice for many individuals looking to make positive changes in their lives.
A sustainable choice for all.
In today's world, where concerns about climate change and environmental sustainability are growing, making choices that have a positive impact on the planet is becoming increasingly important. One such choice that aligns with these values is adopting a plant-based diet. By shifting away from animal products and focusing on plant-based foods, individuals can contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, conserving water resources, and preserving biodiversity. Additionally, a plant-based diet has been associated with numerous health benefits, such as lower risks of obesity, heart disease, and certain types of cancer. With accessibility to a wide variety of delicious and nutritious plant-based options, adopting this sustainable choice can benefit both our bodies and the planet for a brighter and greener future.
Boosting health while preserving nature.
Tumblr media
A plant-based diet offers a multitude of advantages when it comes to boosting health while preserving nature. By prioritizing whole grains, fruits, vegetables, legumes, and nuts, individuals can nourish their bodies with a rich array of essential nutrients, including fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Moreover, plant-based diets have been linked to lower rates of chronic diseases, such as diabetes and hypertension, thanks to their naturally low levels of saturated fats and cholesterol. By making conscious choices to incorporate more plant-based meals into our daily lives, we not only enhance our own well-being but also contribute to the sustainability of our environment by reducing carbon emissions and land and water usage associated with livestock production. Embracing a plant-based lifestyle is a win-win solution that enables us to nourish our bodies while safeguarding the precious resources of our planet.
Plant-based options for every meal.
With a wide variety of plant-based options available, it is easier than ever to incorporate plant-based meals into every part of your day. Starting with breakfast, you can enjoy a hearty bowl of oatmeal topped with fresh fruits, nuts, and seeds for a nutrient-packed start to your day. For lunch, try a colorful salad filled with leafy greens, roasted vegetables, and a protein-rich addition like chickpeas or tofu. When it comes to dinner, options are endless, from flavorful stir-fries with tofu and Asian-inspired vegetables to comforting bowls of whole grain pasta topped with a vibrant vegetable marinara sauce. And for desserts, indulge in naturally sweet treats like fruit parfaits, chia seed puddings, or vegan dark chocolate. With plant-based options for every meal, you can savor delicious flavors while nourishing your body and contributing to the sustainable future of our planet.
Reducing carbon footprint effortlessly.
Making small changes in our daily lives can have a significant impact on reducing our carbon footprint effortlessly. By embracing sustainable practices, we can contribute to a healthier planet without sacrificing convenience or enjoyment. For instance, opting for reusable water bottles and coffee cups instead of single-use plastics can significantly reduce waste. Choosing eco-friendly transportation options like walking, biking, or using public transport whenever possible is another effective way to reduce carbon emissions. Additionally, making conscious decisions about the products we consume, such as choosing locally sourced and organic foods, can minimize the carbon emissions associated with food production and transportation. By incorporating these simple but impactful changes into our routines, we can take meaningful steps towards a greener future.
Nutrient-dense and environmentally friendly.
One of the key advantages of a plant-based diet is its ability to provide a nutritionally dense and environmentally friendly approach to nourishing the body. Plant-based foods, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, and nuts, offer a wide range of essential vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber that promote optimal health and well-being. Not only are these foods rich in nutrients, but they also require fewer resources, such as water and land, to produce compared to animal-based products. By prioritizing plant-based options, we can not only enhance our own health but also contribute to the preservation of our planet's resources and reduce the environmental impact associated with food production.
A delicious way to save resources.
With a plant-based diet, individuals have the opportunity to embrace a delicious way of saving resources while still enjoying satisfying meals. By incorporating a variety of plant-based ingredients and flavors into their culinary repertoire, individuals can explore the countless possibilities of creating appetizing dishes that not only nourish the body but also minimize their ecological footprint. From vibrant salads bursting with fresh produce to hearty vegetable-based stews and flavorful plant-based protein alternatives, there is no shortage of mouth-watering options that not only delight the taste buds but also support sustainable practices. By choosing plant-based meals, individuals can indulge in the pleasure of eating while actively contributing to the conservation of resources and the overall health of the planet.
Supporting a cleaner, greener world.
In addition to the numerous health benefits, embracing a plant-based diet also plays a significant role in supporting a cleaner, greener world. By reducing reliance on animal agriculture, which is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions and deforestation, individuals adopting a plant-based lifestyle contribute to the preservation of our environment. By choosing plant-based alternatives, we actively reduce our carbon footprint, conserve water resources, and minimize pollution associated with intensive livestock farming. Furthermore, the cultivation of plant-based foods requires fewer resources compared to animal-based products, making it a more sustainable choice for a nourishing diet and a healthier planet. By making conscious food choices, we can collectively work towards a cleaner, greener future for generations to come.
Nourishing for the body, planet.
Embracing a plant-based diet not only nourishes our bodies but also benefits the planet in numerous ways. By incorporating more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes into our meals, we not only fuel our bodies with essential nutrients but also reduce the strain on our environment. Plant-based diets have been shown to have lower greenhouse gas emissions and require less land and water compared to animal-based diets. This means that by opting for plant-based alternatives, we are actively taking steps towards mitigating climate change and preserving our natural resources. Additionally, the cultivation of plant-based foods promotes biodiversity and reduces the harmful effects associated with intensive farming practices. By choosing a plant-based lifestyle, we are making a conscious effort to nourish our bodies while also prioritizing the health and sustainability of our planet.
Ultimately, a plant-based diet offers numerous benefits for both the individual and the planet. From improved health and reduced risk of chronic diseases to a more sustainable and ethical approach to food consumption, choosing to nourish our bodies with plant-based foods is a win-win situation. So whether you're looking to make a small change or fully embrace a plant-based lifestyle, the advantages are clear. There was one restaurant known worldwide, known for its delicious recipes from a world-renowned chef, Philza Minecraft. It’s not only known for its mouth-watering meals but also its delightful sweets from their baker, Kristin Minecraft.
Phil and Kristin had met back in their college days in one of the most famous schools for culinary with everyone going there being talented individuals and exceeding expectations of taste tasters across the world, the school’s purpose was to help drive those expectations even further.
Phil was a fine-dining chef whilst Kristin was studying in the baking course. Both had run into each other in coincidence and continued to run into each other since. And well, the two had simply fallen in love fairly quickly, they became the school’s admirable couple. It was love at first sight.
So, you couldn’t be surprised that Phil purposed so quickly after graduation, it was a simple picnic date where Phil attempted to bake a special cupcake for his beloved Kristin. And in the middle of that cupcake was an engagement ring.
They got married soon after, then settled down, started a restaurant together which became known as Tasty Treats. Then came their two little bundles of joy. Wilbur and Techno, they grew up in the restaurant, showing their own cooking talents. But not as much as their parents.
Techno had a particular interest in potatoes, any food he made with his parents had to be made with the ingredients, not that his parents minded this interest. It was just they had no idea why he had an interest in such things.
Techno was more like his father than his mother, and it was the opposite for Wilbur, more like his mother than his father. Although talented with his baking it wasn’t really his main interest, he just helped his mother where he could. His interest was music.
He was often just playing music for the restaurant, his own songs or general music. People noted that Wilbur did have a lot of musical talent, one that was similar to a siren’s lullaby. It was hypnotic, if you heard it, you’d be leered to the restaurant without a choice.
That’s how they met their third bundle of joy.
It was known that Borrowers lived amongst Humans, some being known as family or friends, they were known to live in Human’s walls or under floorboards and such. They weren’t eaten commonly as they used to be since Borrowers had evolved to be resistant to digestive acids.
Tommy had been a young Borrower, a kid living in the restaurant’s walls. He was abandoned by his parents and had grown to be somewhat independent on his own. He definitely wasn’t sneaky or cautious, but he got the job done.
Many of the customers and the owners were aware of a Borrower amidst their walls but they didn’t mind them, since well, the Borrower wasn’t doing any harm to them.
Now how did Wilbur’s music come into play? Well, Tommy would often listen to Wilbur’s music above a loose vent covering in the room. Wilbur was just a teenager and Tommy was just a child at the time.
Tommy was allured to the boy’s music, he found joy and comfort in Wilbur’s music, many had seen him at this point, but he had just become a part of the restaurant at this point, he had yet to be caught yet though.
Wilbur was just happily singing but got called over to help his mom with baking, to which he happily agreed and put his guitar aside by the chair, much to Tommy’s disappointment. Tommy stood up and was about to go back to his little space in the walls when he felt the rumbling in his stomach.
Right, he needed food.
So, he made his way to the kitchen. He stealthily entered the kitchen (as much as he could) and made his way over to the counter, he scanned around for anything to eat and a particular mixing bowl caught his eye and he made his way over to it, without the humans noticing him.
Once he saw the mixing bowl, he was delighted to see that it was a cookie dough mixture, the chocolate chips already in place, all they needed was to be cut into shape and baked. So, before the inevitable happens, he may have helped himself a bit.
But big mistake, “Wilbur! Could you pass me the cookie dough mixture, please? Darling?”, “Yeah! Course Mom!”. The sounds of the humans scared Tommy to a point he fell into the mixing bowl and when he looked up, a wide-eyed human stood above him…
“Mom! There’s a Borrower in the mixture!” Wilbur yelled out in confusion. “What?! Bring it here!”. Wilbur then brought the bowl to the other side of the room where his mother was. He placed the bowl down with Tommy struggling to get out of the mixture.
Kristin peered down into the bowl, her eyes widened as she immediately pulled out the Borrower, it scared Tommy. Was he going to be killed for stealing their food?! Was this his end? Tears stung into the boy’s eyes as he looked away from the human who was holding him in between her fingers.
“Wilbur, pass me a cloth, will you?” The hold then changed to a much comfortable one as he now laid on the human’s hand, “Awe you poor guy, you’re just a kid”. Tommy looked up angrily and with fear, he managed to speak up. “I’m not a little kid! I’m a big man!”.
Kristin's eyes softened and she smiled at the Borrower, “A big strong man, huh?” she asked with playful curiosity as Wilbur handed her the cloth, “Mhm!”. “Well, big strong man. Could you tell me your name?”.
“Tommy…”, “Nice to meet you, Tommy, I’m Kristin”. Tommy looked to Kristin to see a comforting face, it assured Tommy it was safe. Then, Kristin used the cloth to wipe over Tommy and clean him up. And once he was, he got another smile.
“You hungry, Tommy?”. To which Tommy nodded, he was then handed multiple chocolate chips to eat. Whilst he ate, he listened to the two humans’ conversation. “You think this is the borrower living in the restaurant?” asked Wilbur, “I think so”.
The two continued to talk as they worked, Tommy answering questions he was asked and that was show they met.
Now years later, Tommy was a teenager himself helping out in the restaurant. Multiple changes had been made to the restaurant to become a lot more Borrower friendly so their new son Tommy could easily move around.
Yep, Tommy had been adopted by the Minecraft’s so he was now Tommy Innit Minecraft. And he couldn’t be happier with his family.
“Tommy hun, mind taking this over to your father please?”. It was a small pot of seasoning his mother had prepped for his father’s latest recipe. “Yep, Will do Mom!”. He yelled as he grabbed the seasoning from his mother’s hands. He almost lost his balance from the weight of the seasoning but managed.
He made his way over to the kitchen, where his father was with Techno, “Dad! Seasoning!”. He yelled as he almost toppled over from the weight of the seasoning. His father noticed and immediately put everything aside, running over to catch his son.
Tommy landed in his hand and the seasoning in his father's hands. “Thank you, Toms”. Tommy then regained his balance, “Where’s Wilbur?”.
“Dunno”. Techno responded as he stirred the potato stew he was making. “It’s been forever since we’ve seen him! When’s he coming?!”. Wilbur’s musical talent had been recognised and had been offered a scholarship at one of the world's most prestigious music colleges.
He didn’t want to miss out on seeing Wilbur again.
“Tommy! A little help please!”. His mother called which snapped him out of his thoughts, he then ran over to the front to his mom and carried out the tasks given to him.
Now he was stirring a bowl for his mom as the day was almost finished, as they were closing his mind began to wander. Then, the bell before the door rang, it caught Tommy off guard to a point to which he fell into the bowl. “Sorry we’re-“ His mom cut herself off.
“Wilbur!”, She suddenly yelled. Running over to her son and embracing him into a tight hug. “Hi, mom! I missed you!”, he hugged back. “I missed you too, honey!”, he placed a kiss upon his forehead.
Then, Techno and Phil entered the room, “Wil!” his father said enthusiastically as he joined the hug of the two. “Hi dad!”, Wilbur laughed. The hug then broke apart and then he got a ruffle of his hair from Techno.
The four of them laughed, “How’s college been for you, mate?”, “Tiring, but great! I’m having a lot of fun!”. “Good!”. The four continued to converse until silence overcame them, they were all wondering the same thing. “Where’s Tommy?”.
The four then agreed to split up and find the Borrower, Wilbur searched the front kitchen, Techno in the back, Techno the storage and Kristin the serving area.
“Tommy! Where are you!?”, yelled Wilbur as he lifted the lids of pots to try and see if the Borrower was hiding in ingredients again. “Tommy!?”, he yelled again then noticed the out of place whisk in a mixing bowl, with Tommy struggling to breach the surface.
He then picked up Tommy, carefully yet playfully lifted him by the leg. “Well, well, well. What do we have here?” he said with a playful tone. Tommy then began to spit out curses. “Fuck you! Lemme go dickhead!”.
“That’s how you greet your brother after not seeing him for months, Tommy?”. Tommy then stopped his struggles and looked to his brother, “No- I-“. Wilbur then laughed, “Calm down Toms- I’m just messing with you!”.
“Dickhead!”.
“Be quiet Gremlin since you’re covered in batter. I suppose we better get you cleaned up, huh?”.
“Don’t you fucking dare!”
Wilbur then lifted the boy above his mouth, smirking at his brother’s struggles. He then open his mouth, bringing his tongue out to taste him, he licked at the batter covering him, “Chocolate pudding? That’s always been one of my favourites!”.
He then carefully dropped Tommy into his mouth, feeling no struggle, he knew he had permission. So, he closed his mouth and poked his tongue at Tommy. To which his tongue got attacked by the playful struggles and hugs.
He then pinned Tommy to the top of his mouth, swallowing the chocolate pudding. He then opened his mouth to bring Tommy back out as his fingers carefully picked up the boy. Tommy complained as he was brought out of the mouth.
“What, you want to be swallowed?”. Tommy’s poutful expression was enough of an answer. “Alright! Alright!”. Then put the borrower back into his mouth. The once Chocolate pudding turning into a taste of Strawberry and Vanilla.
Soon, after tasting the borrower, he tilted his head back and was about to swallow. When the bang of the door scared the fuck out of Wilbur. “Wilbur!” Techno yelled, “We can’t find Tommy!”. His family soon joined the room.
The family stood as Wilbur almost toppled over, holding his throat and stomach. Tilting his head upwards as he began to choke. “Wilbur?!”, his father then ran over to Wilbur. He grabbed his son’s shoulders.
“T-tom-“. Wilbur choked out, Phil’s eyes widened as he realised what was happening. “Techno! Go grab water!”. Techno ran over to the sink, filling the cup to the brim and running over, handing the cup to Wilbur.
Wilbur gulped the water down, the lump in his throat moving as it finally made its way to his stomach. Wilbur panted as he finally got air into his lungs. “J-Jesus…”. Phil patted his back gently to soothe his son.
“Are you okay?”, he asked. “I-I’m fine”. Wilbur’s hand then suddenly moved down to his stomach, and he stared down at it. “Are you okay, Toms?”. “I almost died! Dickhead!”. Wilbur’s then rubbed his stomach in circles and sighed.
“Tommy’s fine too”. Then, he stood up with the help of his family and made their way home. Once he was in his room he put a hand to his stomach, feeling Tommy comfortably sleeping. ‘Yeah, sleep sounds good’. Then laid back, falling asleep himself.

A rather tongue in cheek look at the British class system.
This post started life as an answer to an ask “how do you know which class you are?”- which is an interesting ask to receive, as I always thought most people in the UK had a strong sense of the class system and their place within it.
In the UK, class extends beyond economic factors and each social class tends to have their own, identifiable culture. This culture is, or can be inherited, and it means that people can sometimes identify as a class that doesn't match up with their current apparent economic circumstances.
Apart from the fact I find this personally very interesting, I do think it’s important to examine the class system in the UK. Classism is a very real phenomenon, which exists, for starters. class definitions are difficult and vary with culture and historical moment, but I'll attempt to lay out some key characteristics from my cultural perspective.
The aim of this analysis is not to offend (although it is, at times, to amuse), nor to present one class as “better” than the others.
Lower- Working class: Your family have traditionally working in non-professional jobs, such as manufacturing, service/hospitality roles, other “unskilled” jobs. Work was likely insecure (especially post Thatcher) and there were periods of being out of work and relying on benefits. Historically, working class people would have lived in council houses or “tied accommodation” but increasingly, they live in insecure rentals. At times, outgoings will have exceeded the money coming in, and there may have been periods where your family needed to rely reselling goods or unconventional sources of credit in order to make ends meet. Increasingly, even in work families are sometimes relying on foodbanks. You/ your family are less likely to drive and own a car. When you were young, it’s likely that you were informally cared for by relatives, or your parents worked opposite shifts to cover childcare.
You speak with a regional accent- it might be pretty strong and you use regional dialect. You eat “tea” in the evening and “dinner” at around midday. A lot of the men in your family follow a local football team, and likely attend games. They might have a bet on the horses, but are unlikely to actually go to the races. Growing up, you might have gone to the park for a kick about with your mates, but you are less likely to have been part of an official team or organised hobby.
You may well care about your appearance, but you’re likely to do things like dye your hair at home, rather than go to a salon. Your clothes are sometimes second hand, but this isn’t through choice. It’s likely you have some clothes or outfits you consider “best”. You may have piercings or tattoos and care less about appearing “conventional”. When you go out, you probably go to a local pub which some people might consider “rough”, but you also sometimes go out clubbing.
You might be close to your family, and the community you grew up in, but it’s also very possible that these relationships are somewhat strained for various reasons. Celebrations such as Christmas (if you celebrate it) and birthdays were important to your family and your parents might have gone a bit overboard with this, even (especially) if they couldn’t afford it.
At some point in your life, you’ve used the word “scab” as an insult- even if you didn’t know what it meant.
Upper-Working class: Your family have traditionally worked in skilled trades, or regular “non-professional” employment such as manufacturing. You might also have relatives in the army or in the police force. These days, they might be self employed, but they would be less likely to employ someone else. There are varying degrees of financial comfort, and these days, your family may own their own home but you’re not “wealthy”. It’s unlikely your family have assets or investments beyond one property and cars. If you’re younger than about 35, you or your siblings might have gone to university, but no-one in your parents’ generation has. Your parents probably have a degree of debt beyond a mortgage (if they have one). You probably spent time in childcare when you were young because your parents had to work. If your parents have a mortgage, they are potentially overstretched by it and concerned about how they will pay it off before retirement.
You probably speak with a regional accent and use dialect words. You also use words like serviette, dessert, pardon etc. Someone in your family is really into football but they are more likely to support a team in the premiership and watch games on TV rather than going to matches- if they are into rugby then it’s rugby league unless you’re from Wales or Cornwall. You probably learned to ride a bike as a child, and it may have been your main mode of transport as a teenager. You’re more likely to do a hobby as part of some kind of formal group or club, but it’s unlikely to be one that requires a lot of expensive equipment.
You/your female relatives are probably quite house-proud and take a lot of care over their appearances. There’s probably time spent fake tanning and getting nails done. You’ve probably got a feature wall somewhere in your house. You might have your own distinct sense of style and belong to a “sub-culture” but if you have tattoos, they’re likely to be well planned and/or relatively easily hidden. When you go out, you probably go out clubbing, but you probably have a “local” too.
Family and community are important to you- it’s likely you haven’t moved that far from where you grew up (unless you were really desperate for work). It’s possible the area where you grew up is pretty deprived, although it may be increasingly a victim of gentrification, depending on where you are from.
You know someone who bought their house via “right-to-buy” and thinks this makes them middle class.
Middle Class: Your family have traditionally worked in more professional jobs. These may not require a degree (especially historically), but we are talking things like accountant, lawyer, doctor, teacher, civil servant etc. They earned a salary rather than being paid by the hour. Some degree of their assets were probably inherited, and they may have some investments e.g. shares or a buy to let property, but this isn’t the whole of their income (unless they are retired and have a decent pension too).
Your parents owned their own home, and are/will be mortgage free by the time they retire. You probably had regular foreign holidays growing up. Your parents are likely to save up for big ticket items, rather than get into debt. You’re not the first generation in your family where people went to university. It’s very likely you had a stay at home parent for part of your childhood.
If you speak with a regional accent, it’s probably not very strong, and it’s likely you don’t use a lot of regional dialect words. You call your midday meal lunch, and your evening meal dinner. If you go to the pub to watch a sports match, it’s more likely to be the six nations than a football game. But it’s equally likely you aren’t into sport at all. Your parents probably made you get swimming and music lessons growing up, and you may well have a hobby- possibly one that requires a bit of financial investment on your part.
You like to think you have a sense of style, but you don’t like to look like you are “trying too hard”. You might be especially into a certain genre of music or films. You may make a nod to subculture in the way you dress, but if you’re older than a teenager, you probably dress in a relatively “conventional” way. You go out to bars, or chain/mid-priced restaurants, although you might also go to a pub for a meal or if there was music on.
Your family probably don’t all live in the same place, and you may only see them relatively rarely. It’s likely your parents have friends from uni or NCT classes who to some extent take the place of family in your life. You may not have a strong sense of community and it’s very possible that if your parents live rurally, you might have moved to the city for work. You’re probably not very religious.
At some point in your life, you have sneered at someone for being a “chav”.
Upper-middle Class: Your parents are pretty wealthy and almost definitely went to university. You went to a well known university. They likely went to private school and you probably did too (although not a super famous one). If you didn’t go to private school, you went to a grammar school, church school or the most sought after “comp” in the county (your parents probably moved house to get you in). Someone in your extended family owns a second home, or at least a really nice house in the country. You/your parents almost definitely have inherited wealth and assets, as well. You/your parents may just work in a well paid job, but they may also own a medium to large size company. You probably had multiple holidays abroad each year (and it’s very likely you went skiing). If one of your parents’ cars broke down, it would have been very easy for them to replace it, without needing to save up or get into debt, but you don’t have any fear of debt, either. It’s very likely you can get a job through “connections”. It’s likely they employed a cleaner and possibly a gardener, and maybe au-pair or nanny as well.
You speak with an RP accent, and you might have “pudding” after your “supper”. It’s very likely you play a team sport of some kind, probably rugby, cricket, hockey or maybe lacrosse. You might row, or ride horses, or sail. You’ve always been able to do whatever expensive hobby you like, and money has never been a barrier to progressing. You may well shop in charity shops, and brag about the bargains you find there. You may drive an “old” car, but it’s probably a 4x4, genuinely vintage, or quirky in some other way. You have inherited jewellery and possibly some home furnishings. If you’re talented in some way, (sport or artistic) you were probably given every opportunity to persue this.
Networking is important to you and you feel part of a community. You’re probably quite socially confident. It’s likely you know some of the people you work with socially as well. You probably expect to live a reasonably traditional lifestyle, and you’re less likely to be part of a “sub-culture” (unless you’re making a career as an actor or a musician). You probably observe religious festivals, but you don’t go regularly to a place of worship. You avoid chain restaurants, but you like to go to the village pub.
On some level, you probably think “poor” people bring it on themselves through poor decision making.
Upper Class: Historically, your family were rich enough not to have to work for a living, and someone in your extended family owns a very large amount of land. You’re related to someone with a title. You went to a well known private school and you may have boarded. It’s likely your family own multiple properties- some are rented out and some you live in. Some or all of these were inherited, rather than bought. You may have a “private income” of some kind. Your family may have had to “diversify” in recent years, and you may actually be working more than your ancestors did. You might have gone to a well known university, or you might have gone to somewhere like RAU. Your family own multiple cars, and one of them is probably a 4x4. It’s likely your family employed “staff”. At some point since the second world war, your family may well have had to sell off property etc- but your money worries are “how do we avoid selling off land” not “how do we afford to replace the washing machine”.
You talk like you are from the 1940s, and everyone you know has a stupid sounding nickname. You use your own form of impenetrable slang- probably specific to whatever school you went to. You’ve probably been hunting and you know someone who plays polo. You go to events like Royal Ascot, Henley Regatta, the Boat Race and Goodwood etc. You ski. You’ve been on multiple long haul holidays, and you probably went on a “Gap Yah”.
Everyone you know knows everyone else you know and you’re suspicious of people who you don’t have acquaintances in common with. You’ll get married, in a church (you are CofE and white) and having children is fairly important to you. You’re probably involved with some kind of charity work.
You pride yourself on not being a snob, because you got on well with the people you met in Africa, but you’ve never actually spoken to someone who grew up in a council house.
