idk if this is an unpopular opinion among Psychos but i think i like the original Cloudy With A Chance Of Murder better than the remake they do in season 8 bc of whatever the hell shawn and lassie have going on in the original

Henry’s hat game in the first episode. Kid Shawn is already bored of it but jumps through Henry’s hoops because he really wants a piece of cake. Adult Shawn has no patience for the hat game but Henry won’t talk to him unless he does it and says he’ll assume Shawn’s cheating if he keeps his eyes open too long. Shawn plays the game so well that, while he’s making a joke, he hears someone leaving the room. He knows from the sound of the boots that it’s the person with the cowboy hat and takes them out of the final count. Then Henry accuses him of changing the rules just because Shawn noticed something he didn’t.

If Shawn had real psychic powers and used them, Henry would’ve definitely considered that cheating. Shawn could’ve spent years learning how to astral project and Henry would still have called him lazy because he was ‘looking’ at the hats instead of memorising them.

We all know the "Simon Cowell" episode of psych, yeah? You know that scene where Shawn and Gus are singing really badly but they have to win despite it? Yeah, I am fully convinced Shawn was singing horribly on purpose to fuck with Nigel, since he knew he'd have to win. Purely fucking shit up on purpose for the hilarity of it. And Shawn singing bad just messed Gus up, so obviously he ended up sounding bad too. This is what happened, you can't convince me otherwise

what's absolutely wild is that you can show me a screenshot of lassie from any episode and i can reasonably estimate which season it's from solely based on how his hair looks

Psych 15th Anniversary Celebration

Day 1: favorite season -> i don’t really have one but let’s go with 1

some of my favorite moments from the season:

S1E1: Pilot - Shawn demonstrating his “powers” for the first time, dramatic legend

S1E2: Spellingg Bee - Shawn being the spellmaster was amazing and i also love how this episode showed us more of Shawn and Gus’ friendly arguing dynamic and how Gus is the reasonable one out of the two of them

Shawn: Onion.

Everyone else: Onion???

S1E3: Speak Now Or Forever Hold Your Piece - i love how the Chief and Juliet and Lassiter just all look so done with Shawn lmao

S1E4: Woman Seeking Dead Husband: Smokers Okay, No Pets - love the Shawn & Juliet & Lassiter interaction here

S1E5: 9 Lives aka the cat episode, everyone’s just fed up with Shawn as usual lol

S1E6: Weekend Warriors -

Sally: (to Lassiter) There’s no need to get nasty.

Shawn: I agree. It’s totally out of line. Sorry, don’t think you could hear that!

S1E11: He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, He Loves Me, Oops He's Dead! - ok i love the shules scene but can we talk about this bc it was hilarious. i love how utterly disinterested they are in each other

S1E14: Poker? I Barely Know Her - of course Shawn would would want to play poker; i also really like seeing flashbacks of him using his ability even when he was young

S1E15: Scary Sherry: Bianca’s Toast - Gus and Shawn being scared of absolutely everything and screaming like children will never not be funny
