Promotional Products Procurement Intelligence 2024-2030: What You Need to Know
Procurement of promotional products enables a business with enhanced customer loyalty, better exposure, faster brand recognition, and effective and optimized marketing. The global market size was valued at USD 90.5 billion in 2023. A large-scale, multi-media, comprehensive advertising strategy is crucial for businesses, but it can be expensive for small-scale businesses. However, they can still use a low-cost promotional goods campaign to meet their marketing objectives. Start-ups can find numerous inexpensive promotional things available. For large-scale distribution, the majority of promotional product producers maintain extremely economical/low prices. The impact on the receivers is great despite the inexpensive cost of the items. In addition, offering clients promotional goods makes it easier for them to remember and recognize the company. Also, the products can serve as a business card for any enterprise as they typicallly carry the image, logo, and business’s slogan depicting their goal.
Apart from technology and personalization, sustainability plays a major role during the procurement of these products. Customers are becoming more aware of how their purchases affect the environment, and the promotional products sector has been affected by this trend. Sustainable materials like bamboo, organic cotton, and recycled plastics are becoming more and more well-liked. As per a recent report by the U.S.-based promotional products community, business enterprises are substituting traditional industry products with eco-friendly alternatives, aligning their brand with sustainability practices.
Sustainability is no longer just a trend but a fundamental consideration for marketing campaigns; rather, it covers everything from offering biodegradable pens to recyclable bags. Furthermore, the need for promotional goods that work well with virtual and hybrid event formats is rising. Businesses are modifying their tactics to fit the digital environment, from branded items shown in online event platforms to virtual event swag boxes sent to attendees' doorsteps.

Real estate, education, and the financial sectors are among the leading end-users of the products offered in the industry. Professionals in real estate use the procurement of branded merchandise as part of their marketing campaigns. People in the community get to know them by attending events and giving away these entertaining things, and they can be taken into consideration for future real estate needs. In conjunction with social media, it's an ideal approach to building connections.
In the field of education, especially in higher education, promotional products are useful. These things make schools stand out when they attend college fairs, college expos, conferences, seminars, open houses, and other similar activities. Additionally, banks employ branded goods as awards and incentives for events like customer appreciation days and new account openings. Travel mugs, fidget spinners, stress balls, and plastic piggy banks are among the commonly used products.
The global market is dominated by North America, with Asia Pacific and Europe standing in the second and third places, respectively. In the Asia Pacific promotional products procurement arena, it is anticipated that the expenses incurred on marketing and advertising campaigns, such as promotional products, will witness growth of over 5.3% till 2025. Key economies in the region responsible for such growth include India, Japan, South Korea, and China. Notable examples of continuously developing Asian economies are Indonesia and the Philippines (and, to a lesser extent, Burma and Vietnam, where there is a substantial population and great potential for economic advancement). Some products in the Asian promotional product market are more sought after than others, such as personalized tote bags, trucker hats, work-from-home accessories and phone cases. Tote bags have a real hipster vibe because they are simple, practical, and incredibly fashionable. Tote bags are a significantly less expensive way to hold stuff than typical bags, whether a person is traveling to the food market, shopping with friends, or even just going out to a bar.
Promotional Products Sourcing Intelligence Highlights
• The global promotional products market is highly competitive, exhibiting a fragmented landscape with the presence of a large number of regional and global players operating in the industry.
• Suppliers in the industry possess a low capability to negotiate with buyers as the latter have an edge to choose the supplier of their choice due to the availability of a large supply base and low switching cost. Therefore, the suppliers are bound to stay soft in terms of pricing and product range.
• China is the preferred best-cost country for sourcing promotional products. The nation currently produces more manufactured goods than South Korea, Japan, Germany, and the U.S. combined, accounting for one-third of global production.
• Printing and engraving equipment, software tools, cost of the product, labor, marketing, rent and utilities, and others are the key cost components for promotional products. Other costs include storage and transportation, printing ink and toner, maintenance and repair, administrative fees, and tax.

"The Netherlands is pulling even further ahead of its peers in the shift to a recycling-driven circular economy, new data shows.
According to the European Commission’s statistics office, 27.5% of the material resources used in the country come from recycled waste.
For context, Belgium is a distant second, with a “circularity rate” of 22.2%, while the EU average is 11.5% – a mere 0.8 percentage point increase from 2010.
“We are a frontrunner, but we have a very long way to go still, and we’re fully aware of that,” Martijn Tak, a policy advisor in the Dutch ministry of infrastructure and water management, tells The Progress Playbook.
The Netherlands aims to halve the use of primary abiotic raw materials by 2030 and run the economy entirely on recycled materials by 2050. Amsterdam, a pioneer of the “doughnut economics” concept, is behind much of the progress.
Why it matters
The world produces some 2 billion tonnes of municipal solid waste each year, and this could rise to 3.4 billion tonnes annually by 2050, according to the World Bank.
Landfills are already a major contributor to planet-heating greenhouse gases, and discarded trash takes a heavy toll on both biodiversity and human health.
“A circular economy is not the goal itself,” Tak says. “It’s a solution for societal issues like climate change, biodiversity loss, environmental pollution, and resource-security for the country.”
A fresh approach
While the Netherlands initially focused primarily on waste management, “we realised years ago that’s not good enough for a circular economy.”
In 2017, the state signed a “raw materials agreement” with municipalities, manufacturers, trade unions and environmental organisations to collaborate more closely on circular economy projects.
It followed that up with a national implementation programme, and in early 2023, published a roadmap to 2030, which includes specific targets for product groups like furniture and textiles. An English version was produced so that policymakers in other markets could learn from the Netherlands’ experiences, Tak says.
The programme is focused on reducing the volume of materials used throughout the economy partly by enhancing efficiencies, substituting raw materials for bio-based and recycled ones, extending the lifetimes of products wherever possible, and recycling.
It also aims to factor environmental damage into product prices, require a certain percentage of second-hand materials in the manufacturing process, and promote design methods that extend the lifetimes of products by making them easier to repair.
There’s also an element of subsidisation, including funding for “circular craft centres and repair cafés”.
This idea is already in play. In Amsterdam, a repair centre run by refugees, and backed by the city and outdoor clothing brand Patagonia, is helping big brands breathe new life into old clothes.
Meanwhile, government ministries aim to aid progress by prioritising the procurement of recycled or recyclable electrical equipment and construction materials, for instance.
State support is critical to levelling the playing field, analysts say...
Long Road Ahead
The government also wants manufacturers – including clothing and beverages companies – to take full responsibility for products discarded by consumers.
“Producer responsibility for textiles is already in place, but it’s work in progress to fully implement it,” Tak says.
And the household waste collection process remains a challenge considering that small city apartments aren’t conducive to having multiple bins, and sparsely populated rural areas are tougher to service.
“Getting the collection system right is a challenge, but again, it’s work in progress.”
...Nevertheless, Tak says wealthy countries should be leading the way towards a fully circular economy as they’re historically the biggest consumers of natural resources."

DAY 22 Prompt: Fallen Angel SPOILERS FOR NB SEASON 3 AND OG SEASON 4
Of all the places within the Devildom’s borders, Raphael believes Meowcao to be the most devilish.
Since the start of his exchange period at RAD, coupled with the previous business excursions on behalf of Michael, Raphael has become rather familiar with the Devildom. He has experienced the blazing moonlight in the scorching sahara of the south, has healed the frostbite from his fingertips in the blizzarding forest of the north. He has participated in festivals and sports games, has immersed himself in Devildom culture just as Michael had suggested. Each time he dips his toes into the cool shallows lurking above Cocytus, the more he adjusts to the shift in temperature. The Devildom as Raphael knows it is, in all honesty, not that different from the human world…or even the Celestial Realm, at that.
But a city that thrives on gambling in such excess that every day decisions are made with a game of chance? Streets filled with demons who were winning big and lost it all, those addicted to the thrill of the game, those enamored with the bright, flashing lights of casinos? It is a paradise designed to nurture greed. It was no wonder Mammon had chosen to visit such a place as his reward for triumphing over the Science Fair Geography finals.
It is almost disorienting, faced with demons who dislike not only him, but the group with whom he chooses to associate purely because of Lord Diavolo’s vision to promote harmony between the three realms.
In the downtown strip, the area between RAD and Purgatory Hall, Raphael is relatively respected, regardless of his angelic status. Shopkeepers maintain a certain level of civility as he trades Grimm for products, and other students at the academy always spare a smile, albeit strained, when he passes in the halls.
Were the residents of Meowcao real demons?
What is it that makes a demon more or less demonic? Is it the shift to a more selfish outlook? The desire to leave chaos in their paths? Or does Diavolo’s seal of approval provide more rain cover than the average umbrella? Were the demons that Raphael has come to understand only polite under Diavolo’s orders?
As Simeon scoops his feijoada from the large bowl before him, the steaming bruised beans procured from local farms slopping onto Raphael’s plate, Raphael peers through the unexpectedly delicious haze of demon cuisine to observe his closest friend.
Simeon wears a soft smile, his celestial teal gaze relaxed and affectionate. The ladle dips into his meal multiple times, returning to Raphael’s plate with more towering atop the spoon than Raphael thought was possible.
“Why, thank y…” Raphael frowns, blinks through his pause as he watches Simeon tilt his head towards him, that patient expression Raphael knows too well enveloping him in a wave of nostalgia and warmth. It takes a moment to find his voice again, sometime after Simeon has passed Raphael’s plate onto Thirteen, the reaper looking to share some of her meal with her exchange program buddy as well. “Now wait just a second, Simeon. That’s far too generous a portion. You’re left with hardly any for yourself now…
But Simeon simply waves him off, and returns his plate with heaping piles of roasted vegetables and various proteins. It’s more food than he needs, he knows this, but who is Raphael to spurn the sincere kindness of a former angel? He proceeds to eat in silence, choosing to listen to the conversation and light jabs that bounce about the table in lieu of voicing the questions nudging at his ribs. He absently wishes that Solomon had prepared a dish for the meal, even if it would have been impossible. There’s something about Solomon’s cooking that quiets Raphael’s noisy brain.
It really doesn’t seem as though Simeon has changed at all. He is still gentle, and just, and passionate. He still resembles the kind man who had toured Raphael around the seraphim quarters on his first day in training, all lilting laughter and fluid guidance shaped to a container of hard corners. Raphael had known instantly that he was the seraph to go to when he made a mistake. Simeon would be fair, it was apparent in his smile.
It makes Raphael wonder…What is the point of the exchange program? Is there something that he has yet to understand? Did Michael know that Simeon–clever, wise Simeon who had always bent over backwards for his heart–would fall? Simeon had already been demoted in the aftermath of the Great Celestial War…Was the exchange program a test that Michael knew the former seraph would fail?
If that was the case, then why send Luke, as well? Was Luke to be witness to Simeon’s mistakes, to be molded into Michael’s ideal angel through scare tactics and fear mongering? And then, why him? Why Raphael? Was he to be the bad guy, the voice whispering in Luke’s ears, peeling back Simeon’s flaws?
Or, did Michael wish to be rid of Raphael? Did he see him as a threat? Was he meant to fail the test just as Simeon did before?
He glances around the massive table in the center of Meowcao’s fanciest restaurant. Barbatos is sharing a dessert with Luke, pointing out the chef’s skill as evident in the candied fruit perfectly sandwiched between whipped icing. Thirteen and Asmodeus take turns spoon-feeding the embarrassed human exchange student. Mephistopheles makes a cat out of the rice pilaf on his plate, shows it to Solomon and Satan with a haughty smirk. Lucifer grimaces as Diavolo sends plateful after plateful Beelzebub’s way, the former pleading not to encourage his younger brother’s poor manners.
It’s a wholesome scene, all rounded corners and warped by a rose-colored filter. Teeth glimmer in the candlelight, wide smiles only parting for raucous laughter. Raphael notices the way Simeon’s stare sobers as he watches Luke pepper Barbatos with questions, desperate to become an amazing pastry chef to please Michael.
What is his former brother thinking? Is he wondering the same as Raphael himself? His appetite disappears as he stares down at his full plate, his stomach in knots. For how is he supposed to maintain Luke’s purity if lying is against an angel’s virtues?

Star fragments and power
[Transcript taken from an unreleased promotional video intended to be part of an educational series on the Celestial Waves Project. The viewer is greeted by Dr. Newton]
"We at the Celestial Waves Project hear you! So, what's up with all this star talk? Well, the world around us is filled with dormant, seemingly magical, energy just ready to be released and the densest storage of energy that we've discovered is something you're quite familiar with; the night's stars. The star power, what we like to refer to energy from the stars as, from a singular star is enough to provide electricity to an entire continent for years! Isn't that incredible?"
[An info graphic on star power is presented on screen during Dr. Newton's speech]
"Now you must be wondering; 'if star power is so great, why doesn't anyone use it?.' Well, you see, star power is incredibly difficult to procure. Not only will these giant balls of gas incinerate anything that comes close but star power itself relies on an organic lifeforms to channel it to be able to used star power in any productive way."
[A blueprint of sorts is presented on screen, the ink is smudged and the paper itself shows clear signs of water damage]
"Thats where our lovely stars, the Decidit Astrum, come in. During meteor showers, tiny particles of stars fall to the earth which we collect to create what we call 'star fragments', tightly packed star dust suspended in a trade secret orb shaped construction. These star fragments are used in the creation of our merr and act as a source of energy for them which they can freely wield."
[The video cuts back to Dr. Newton]
"And thats where their name comes from- the Decidit Astrum, the fallen stars- because, well, they're made from fallen stars, simple as that!"
#I'm new to this idk how to really format it haha#This is so cringe but I'm having fun anyways#Celestial Waves Project#Celestial Waves au#Tsams au#sams au

What the Trump Nominees Have Not Done—And Will Not Do
5 Comments / December 5, 2024
Victor Davis Hanson
American Greatness
Deflated by the resounding November defeat, the left now believes it can magically rebound by destroying Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees.
Many of Trump’s picks are well outside the usual Washington, DC/New York political, media, and corporate nexus.
But that is precisely the point—to insert reformers into a bloated, incompetent, and weaponized government who are not part of it.
Trump’s nominee for FBI director, Kash Patel, is already drawing severe criticism.
His furious enemies cannot go after his resume, since he has spent a lifetime in private, congressional, and executive billets, both in investigations and intelligence.
Instead, they claim he is too vindictive and does not reflect the ethos of the FBI.
But what will Patel not do as the new director?
He will not serially lie under oath to federal investigators as did interim FBI Director Andrew McCabe, a current Patel critic.
He will not forge an FBI court affidavit, as did convicted felon and agency lawyer Kevin Clinesmith.
He will not claim amnesia 245 times under congressional oath to evade embarrassing admissions as did former Director James Comey.
He will not partner with a foreign national to collect dirt and subvert a presidential campaign as the FBI did with Christopher Steele in 2016
He will not use the FBI to draft social media to suppress news unfavorable to a presidential candidate on the eve of an election.
He would not have suppressed FBI knowledge that Hunter Biden’s laptop was genuine—to allow the lie to spread that it was “Russian disinformation” on the eve of the 2020 election.
He will not raid the home of an ex-president with SWAT teams, surveil Catholics, monitor parents at school board meetings, or go after pro-life peaceful protestors.
Decorated combat veteran Pete Hegseth is another controversial nominee for secretary of defense.
What will Hegseth likely not do?
Go AWOL without notifying the president of a serious medical procedure as did current Secretary Lloyd Austin?
Install race and gender criteria for promotion and mandate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training?
Insinuate falsely that cabals of white supremacists had infiltrated the military—only to alienate that entire demographic and thus ensure the Pentagon came up 40,000 recruits short?
Oversee the scramble from Kabul that saw $50 billion in U.S. military equipment abandoned to Taliban terrorists?
Watch passively as a Chinese spy balloon traversed the continental United States for a week?
Allow the chairman of the Joint Chiefs to promise his Chinese communist counterpart that the People’s Liberation Army would first be informed if the President of the United States was felt to issue a dangerous order?
Rotate into the Pentagon from a defense contractor boardship and then leave office to rotate back there to leverage procurement decisions?
Oversee the Pentagon’s serial flunking of fiscal audits?
Health and Human Services nominee Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is certainly a maverick. He may earn the most Democratic hits, given his former liberal credentials.
But what will RFK also not do as HHS secretary?
Oversee his agencies circumventing U.S. law by transferring money to communist China to help it produce lethal gain-of-function viruses of the COVID-19 sort—in the manner of Dr. Fauci?
Organize scientists to go after critics of mandatory masking and defame them?
Give pharmaceutical companies near-lifetime exemptions from legal jeopardy for rushing into production mRNA vaccines not traditionally vetted and tested?
Leave office to monetize his HHS expertise and thus make millions from the pharmaceutical companies?
Trump’s nominee for Director of National Intelligence, former congressional representative and military veteran Tulsi Gabbard, will soon be defamed in congressional hearings.
But what has Gabbard not done?
Joined “51 former intelligence authorities” to lie on the eve of the 2020 election that the Hunter Biden laptop “had all the hallmarks” of a Russian information/disinformation operation”—in an effort to swing the election to incumbent Joe Biden?
Lied under congressional oath like former DNI James Clapper, who claimed he only gave the “least untruthful answer” in congressional testimony?
Encourage the FBI to monitor a presidential campaign in efforts to discredit it—in the manner of former CIA Director John Brennan, who lied not once but twice under oath?
Fail to foresee the American meltdown in Kabul, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel, or the Houthis takeover of the Red Sea?
We are going to hear some outrageous things in the upcoming congressional confirmation hearings.
But one thing we will not hear about are the crimes, deceptions, and utter incompetence of prior and current government grandees.
The current crew, not their proposed Trump replacements, prompted the sick and tired American people to demand different people.
Voters want novel approaches to reform a government that they not only no longer trust but also now deeply fear.

The Holodomor
Marxists do not deny that a famine occurred in the Soviet Union in 1932-1933. Soviet archives, along with various Western historians, confirm this. What remains contested is the narrative that this famine was a deliberate, man-made genocide aimed specifically at the Ukrainian people. This portrayal, pushed by nationalist factions and later Cold War propaganda, finds its roots in the disinformation campaigns initiated by Nazi Germany to showcase the “terror” of the so-called “Jewish communists” to the world.
– Socialist Musings. (2017). Stop Spreading Nazi Propaganda: on Holodomor
Anti-Communists and Ukrainian nationalists have framed the Soviet famine of 1932-1933 as “The Holodomor” (which means “to kill by starvation” in Ukrainian). This framing serves two purposes:
It implies that the famine specifically targeted Ukraine.
It suggests that the famine was intentional.
The argument posits that because it was intentional and mainly affected Ukraine, it was, therefore, an act of genocide. This interpretation was first promoted by Nazi Germany during World War II, seeking to fracture the relationship between the Ukrainian SSR (UKSSR)and the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic(RSFSR). Since the 2004 Orange Revolution, the Holodomor narrative has regained momentum, serving nationalist goals by reinforcing Ukrainian identity and fostering the country’s independence from Russia.
The Geographical Reality: Famine Across the USSR
A central problem with the Holodomor narrative is its assertion that Ukraine was the primary target. The reality is that famine spread across large swathes of the Soviet Union. Regions like Kazakhstan were, in fact, more devastated on a per capita basis than Ukraine, while Soviet Russia also suffered severe losses. This broader Soviet famine refutes the genocide argument, showing the effects of poor agricultural policies and environmental disaster across multiple Soviet regions, not just Ukraine (Tauger, 1992).
The rise of the Holodomor narrative in the 1980s coincided with Ukrainian post-Soviet nation-building. Some scholars, like Peter Novick, argue that this narrative reflects a form of “Holocaust Envy,” where nationalists attempt to downplay other atrocities (such as the Holocaust) to elevate their own experience as uniquely tragic. The Ukrainian scholar Lubomyr Luciuk has controversially claimed that the Holodomor was “a crime against humanity arguably without parallel in European history,” reflecting the extreme lengths taken to establish this narrative.
Second Issue
Labeling the famine “man-made” implies that it was deliberate, which was not the case. Although human factors contributed, the main causes of the famine were bad weather and crop disease, which resulted in poor harvests and pushed the USSR into crisis.
Furthermore, kulaks (wealthy peasants owning land, livestock, and tools) who resisted collectivization policies played a significant role in worsening the situation. In the early 1930s In response to the state-enforced requisitioning of grain, some kulaks engaged in active sabotage, burning crops, killing livestock and damaging equipment to resist the Soviet government’s efforts. Poor communication and delayed action across various levels of government also compounded the crisis, leading to greater devastation.
Quota Reduction
What undermines the genocide argument most significantly is the Soviet government’s response once the famine began. Contrary to the narrative that the USSR deliberately starved its citizens, evidence shows that the Central Committee reduced grain procurement quotas after realizing the gravity of the 1932 harvest failure. In May 1932, the planned procurement quota was reduced by 30%, and subsequent decrees further reduced the quotas for various agricultural products. Despite the challenges, Soviet authorities made active efforts to address the crisis, although their actions were far from sufficient (Mark Tauger. (1992). The 1932 Harvest and the Famine of 1933).
Notably, revisionist scholars like James Mace and Robert Conquest have downplayed or entirely ignored these quota reductions, instead focusing on the famine as proof of Soviet intent to starve Ukrainians. Conquest’s work, for example, avoids any discussion of the lower grain procurement targets, despite Soviet records showing that the government tried to mitigate the famine’s effects (Davies & Wheatcroft, 2004 Link).
Rapid Industrialization
Soviet policies of rapid industrialization and collectivization contributed directly to the famine. However, had these efforts not been pursued, the Soviet Union would have faced far greater difficulties later. Stalin’s famous statement in 1931—”We must make good this distance in ten years. Either we do it, or we shall go under”—proved eerily prophetic when Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union just a decade later.
By 1941, the USSR had built a robust industrial base, which was essential in its defeat of Nazi Germany. The rapid industrialization of the early 1930s allowed the Soviet Union to produce the weapons, tanks, and planes that would eventually win the war. In Hitler’s own words from 1942,
“All in all, one has to say: They built factories here where two years ago there were unknown farming villages, factories the size of the Hermann-Göring-Werke. They have railroads that aren’t even marked on the map.”
– Werner Jochmann. (1980). Adolf Hitler. Monologe im Führerhauptquartier 1941-1944.
Thus, while the cost was heavy, including the famine, this industrial base saved the USSR from destruction during World War II.
Collectivization also built resilience among the civilian population:
The experts were especially surprised by the Red Army’s up-to-date equipment… Russians met the German blitzkrieg tactic by two methods, both requiring superb morale. When the German tanks broke through, Russian infantry would form again between the tanks and their supporting German infantry… The Germans found no “soft civilian rear.” They encountered collective farmers, organized as guerrillas and coordinated with the regular Russian army.
– Anna Louise Strong. (1956). The Stalin Era
Conclusion: A Tragedy, Not Genocide
While there is no doubt that the Soviet government mishandled the famine, leading to tragic and widespread suffering, evidence does not support the conclusion that the famine was an act of genocide. The conditions leading to the famine were driven by a mix of environmental crises, poor policies, and sabotage—not by a deliberate attempt to wipe out the Ukrainian population. The Holodomor narrative has been shaped over decades by external propaganda efforts and nationalist revisionism, but a balanced view reveals a broader Soviet tragedy, not an ethnic genocide.

The Inauguration Ceremony
Fontaine Airport buzzed with its usual crowd, hundreds of people hustling and bustling within its confines. Some rushed towards security, fearing they might miss their flights, while others savored moments in cafes before departure. A few strolled leisurely towards the exit, reuniting with families and friends.
In the midst of the Parisian-clad individuals, a 6ft tall gentleman moved gracefully. He wore a blue vest over a white dress shirt and blue slacks, complemented by a long dark blue trench coat with gold lining. Onlookers couldn't help but be captivated by his handsomeness as they watched him move through the airport. A distracted young lady, engrossed in her phone call and clutching a coffee cup, accidentally collided with the stranger, spilling hot coffee all over herself.
“WHAT THE HELL!” Startled, the young lady looked up, only to find herself charmed by the stranger's appearance.
The man briefly glanced at her before redirecting his attention elsewhere.
“U-uh, sorry. I didn't see you there. I hope I didn't hurt you. I was on the phone, and…” the young lady apologized bashfully.
“You gotta be kidding me,” the man retorted.
“WHAT?!” The lady looked at him incredulously.
Before she could say anything else, the man left.
“The heck was your problem? I was just—” the lady started, attempting to address him.
“Hey, relax. He wasn't talking to you,” another person intervened.
“Excuse me?” The lady turned around to face another 6ft tall individual, this one with gay and green streeked hair, donning a black suit and a green tie. Speechless at his appearance, the lady bowed as the gray-haired man left to follow after his boss.
“Be careful of what you were thinking out loud. That woman was about to-” Alhaitham said "They can't be serious!" Neuvillette exclaimed, fuming with anger as he looked at a commercial his company produced.
"Can you even tell what product they're promoting? They just slapped a nobody on it and called it an ad."
"Yeah, you're right. I don't recognize him at all," Alhaitham said, agreeing while watching the ad.
"Find out whoever handled this. I want a name today," Neuvillette demanded, tearing his eyes from the ad to look at his secretary, Alhaitham, before leaving.
"Clear," Alhaitham sighed, feeling the weight of returning to Fontaine only to dive straight into work.
In the Fonatasia Research Lab, a food developer named (Y/N) was diligently working on different recipes for various products in their projects. Currently focused on finding innovative ways to make fish and chips, she experimented with different marinades for the fish.
While engrossed in her work, her phone rang. She swiftly removed her gloves and mask to answer the call.
"Hello, Monsieur Lyney? Oh! Already? I'm on my way! Got it!" she said hurriedly, grabbing her company ID and leaving the lab to head to the conference hall. As she made her way through the crowd, the distinct aroma of fish trailed behind her causing people to cover their nose as she made her way to her cowokers.
"Monsieur Lyney! Madame Lynette! Monsieur Friement! I'm here."
"Why are you so late?" Lyney said.
"I was busy working on the cod marinade for the fish and chips," Y/n replied, fixing her appearance.
"Take it easy, you..." Lyney was about to scold Y/n when he saw Friement sniffing, making him and Lynette do the same.
"My Celestia, you smell fishy!" Lyney exclaimed.
"Is it really that bad? I can't really tell," Y/n said, trying to smell herself.
"Woah, how could you not? Come here," Lyney said as he procured Lynette's perfume from thin air and sprayed Y/n with it.
"It's okay. It shows how hard you have been working on your research," Lynette said with a small smile.
Y/n leaned to hug Lynette, but Lynette gently pushed Y/n softly so that she didn't catch the fishy smell.
"Please take your seats, everyone," the PA announced as they were called inside the conference for President Neuvilette's inauguration ceremony.
As Y/n was about to sit next to Lynette, Lyney, and Friement, Lynette motioned for her to sit in a seat apart from them.
Lyney sighed and said, "I guess they were right about President Neuvilette; he really is a workaholic, straight from an office overseas. Not a single day of a break."
"You know what I heard? I heard he was actually really hot," Friement deadpanned, remembering what his friend Aerie from Research Department 1 had mentioned.
"I'm not really sure. He wasn't even there when I first started at the main branch, but you know, he can't be that handsome if that is his mother," Y/n said, jokingly.
Furina sat in the front row with the other executives, excited for her son to make his speech at the inauguration. The executives beside her congratulated her, now that her son would be the new president of the company.
From the back, Friement and Lyney took a look at Furina.
"Oh, maybe it's not true," Friement said as he leaned back, hugging his stuffed penguin.
"I also heard he's good looking and looks like a celebrity," Lynette added.
"Oh, the apple can't fall too far from the tree. He'll look okay at best."
"President Neuvilette will now make his inauguration address," the MC said, making everyone silent and straighten up, excited to see the president.
Everyone clapped as they saw a gray and green streaked-haired person making his way on stage, taking his place at the podium.
"Oh my god, he's so gorgeous," the girls in front of Y/n whispered.
"Wait, isn't that..." Lynette said.
Instead of Neuvilette on the podium, it was Alhaitham on stage. Furina looked at Alhaitham, glaring at him, expecting Neuvilette to be on stage.
"Thank you and welcome. My name is Alhaitham; I'm the company's chief secretary, and I'm here on behalf of President Neuvilette."
Everyone started whispering, confused as they thought he was the president.
"Chief secretary?" Y/n said questioningly.
"And I'm now going to deliver his inauguration address. To everyone who worked for today's inauguration ceremony, despite my former insistence on not having one, thank you very much. Going forward, I hope we prioritize business matters as opposed to meaningless events such as this one. I look forward to meeting you all in the near future. Thank you very much."
"Is that it?" Lyney said to Friement while Y/n giggled at how the president was such a character.
"This is amazing," Y/n thought.
"That would be all. Yours truly, President Neuvilette."
"I can't believe these arrogant little pricks! Oh, what are they thinking?" Furina said angrily, standing up and leaving the conference hall.
Everyone bowed as she left with her executives, and Alhaitham sneaked away, bowing to everyone first before leaving the stage.
"That's weird, so where is the president then?" Lynette said.
"I don't know, but all I can say is he sure is a character," Y/n said, giggling while shaking her head.

The State Department on Friday accused RT of having transformed from a state-backed propaganda outlet into a sophisticated arm of Russian intelligence, secretly operating a vast military procurement network to supply Russian forces in Ukraine.
RT, formerly Russia Today, has been pulling this off by using a large online crowdfunding platform, promoted through social media, to buy military equipment and then channel it to Russian units in Ukraine, according to the State Department. The administration said the operations were administered by RT deputy editor-in-chief and head of international broadcasting for Sputnik Anton Anisimov and had avoided detection by importing small orders of weaponry and supplies.
That shopping list, according to State, includes sniper rifles and suppressors, personal weapon sights, body armor and tactical clothing, night vision equipment, drones, radio equipment and diesel generators.
New evidence from the State Department also linked some of the equipment — particularly recon drones — directly to China-based entities. The department also alleges that RT is facilitating production in coordination with the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“I’ve instructed U.S. diplomats around the world to share the evidence that we’ve gathered on RT’s expanded capabilities and the ways it’s being used to target individual countries and the information ecosystem that we share,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a Friday briefing.
To camouflage and obscure its evolved mission, State said, RT has even developed previously unknown cyber capabilities while deploying a network of fake news websites, social media accounts and online personas on a global scale. Since spring 2023, the department said, RT has harbored a cyber unit with direct ties to Russian intelligence that it uses to funnel information to spies, mercenaries and Kremlin proxies worldwide. The network has also expanded influence operations globally, with a particular focus on Europe, Africa and the Americas, including an ongoing effort to destabilize the government of Argentina.
Some covert influence fronts secretly run by RT include online platform “African Stream,” which boasts 460,000 YouTube subscribers, and “Red,” a Berlin-based English language platform with over 80,000 followers on X, the State Department said. A Paris-based journalist was also hired to run influence projects targeting French speakers, according to the State Department.
But one of the most notable influence campaigns the department said was run by RT involves Moldova’s October election, with State accusing RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan of being in direct coordination with the Kremlin to sway the results toward a pro-Russian candidate.
When reached for comment, RT shared a Russian-language post on Telegram on Friday from Simonyan with a brash admission. “American intelligence services have found out that we are helping the front,” a translated version of Simonyan’s post reads. “We are doing it openly, idiots.”
The news comes weeks after the Justice Department unsealed an indictment against senior employees of RT accusing them of using shell companies and fake identities to pay millions of dollars to a Tennessee-based media outlet to create pro-Russia content.
Simonyan had already been a target of Treasury sanctions earlier in September, and went on Russian state TV over the weekend to brag that RT runs covert operations in the United States.

Scalability: Your ERP system should be able to grow with your business. As your company expands, the system should be able to handle additional users, processes, and data without compromising performance.
Integration: ERP software should integrate seamlessly with other systems and tools that your business uses, such as CAD software, financial systems, and supply chain management tools.

Natural history as the basis for trade and commercial agriculture mediated the link between overseas expansion and the development of European scientific thought. By virtue of its strategic location in the moist tropics, Peninsular Malaysia made a significant contribution to natural history and, thus, to colonial science. [...] Botanical and zoological collections from insular Southeast Asia were of seminal importance, for example, to the pioneer studies of Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace. [...]
The search for economic produce was actively promoted by both the English and Dutch East India Companies [...]. Modern European plant science had its roots in [...] the creation of physick and, later, botanic gardens, established [...] in Pisa, Padua, Florence, [...] Leiden, Oxford, Cambridge, [...] and Edinburgh. Among other functions, these gardens served, as institutions for training physicians for service in the colonies. The lead role they played in discovering and inventorying plants [...] forged a crucial link between botanic gardens and the quest for products, territory and empire.
Garcia D’Orta (c. 1501/2-68), a Spanish physician who served several viceroys in Goa, established the botanic garden near Bombay [...]. His Aromatum Historia (1563) [...] has been described as ‘a landmark in the history of civilization’. [...]
Hendrik van Rheede’s ground-breaking 12-volume Hortus Malabaricus (1678-1703) [was] based on [...] Ayurvadic knowledge and the services of Ezhava collectors and tree climbers in the Malabar. [...]
---
[T]he connection [Linnaeus] established between natural history and national wealth was widely influential. It struck a cord with Adam Smith (1723-90) and other political economists [...] who placed their faith in agricultural improvement [...]. These developments put a premium on naturalists and [...] Sir Comte de Buffon [...] and Joseph Banks [...] served as agricultural and medical consultants to sovereigns. [...] [T]he concept of environmental determinism informed Adam Smith’s philosophy of the superiority of Western nations, endowed with temperate climes, over the people of the tropics. [...] The person who brokered the link between desire for material wealth and the search for its location and procurement overseas was the indomitable and widely influential [Joseph] Banks, President of the Royal Society (1778-1820) and, from 1773, de facto director of the Royal Botanical Gardens. Also a member of the Privy Council Committee for trade – the organization most directly concerned with augmenting wealth and self-sufficiency -- he used his influence with the Royal Institution and the Board of Agriculture to forge a successful link between science and empire. [...]
Carolus Clusius who held the Chair of Botany in Leiden (1592-9) reputedly obtained ‘Malaysian’ specimens from Sir Francis Drake.
Again, following the death in 1695 of the VOC [Dutch East India Company] botanist, Paulus Hermann, his notes and manuscript [...] were acquired and used by William Sherard (Sherwood), founder of the Chair of Botany in Oxford.
---
In 1778, the English East India Company (EIC) appointed J.G. Koenig, a pupil of Linnaeus, as ‘Professor of Botany and Natural History’ in Madras. [...]
His appointment, believed to have been initiated by Banks, firmly established colonial science within the purview of imperial economic policy. [...]
Koenig worked in the private gardens [...] in Melaka and conducted the earliest and largest botanical survey of the west coast of the Peninsula (1778-9). Bengkulen (Bangkulu), [...] where pepper cultivation was extensively researched, was declared a Presidency [...] with the express aim of developing its full economic potential. To help fulfill this objective, Philip and Charles Miller, sons of the well-respected gardener at the Chelsea Physick Garden, were engaged as botanists [...] Charles Miller was entrusted in ‘the greatest secrecy’ with the experimental planting of nutmeg and cloves, using seedlings that visiting Bugis traders were encouraged to smuggle from Maluku. [...] [T]he EIC envisaged expanding the range of Benkulen’s exports by the introduction of tea, ginger, turmeric and mulberries. [...] These efforts prefigured experiments in spice cultivation at the Calcutta Botanic Gardens [...].
Newbold took his knowledge of the tropical environment in the [Malayan] Straits Settlements to Madras, where he earned a reputation as a naturalist and an Orientalist [...]. His lecture to the Bengal Asiatic Society in 1846 [...] was hugely influential and put the Peninsula at the heart of the emerging discourse on tropical ecology. [...] [T]hose [tropical botanic gardens] established by the EIC in Penang (1794) and Singapore (1822) were integral to its commercial aims for extending the chain of ‘tropical Edens’. As centres for the [...] assemblage of exotic crops [...], botanic gardens were perceived as symbols of scientific progress and imperial might.

Why Market analysis is important in the modern day business setting?
The importance of market analysis is similar to the importance of research in prior to any huge investment.
