Something I miss from earlier eras of the creative side of the internet was things just being unabashedly low-budget. i’ll never understand people who want louis to go back to his 1d manufactured image. i fell in love with the louis of now, the one who is as authentic as he can be. he’s not 18 anymore, he’s 32, he’s grown, he’s changed in some ways but still the core of who he is has remained, it’s just that some people refuse to see it

like literally even the appeal of 1D was that they weren't that!!! Let alone now or anything that has happened in the last nearly a decade, it is truly baffling to me that anyone would voluntarily say, I don't like this version of things where we get to connect to our fave as a PERSON and he even acknowledges and talks about how we (the fans) and he (the person) have this special fucking bond of us understanding him and loving the actual person he is and how it's better than any other fan/ artist relationship and allows for vulnerability and how he has heard us saying for years that we would give him anything all we want is for him to be happy and been like I hear you and I appreciate that so much you have given me everything and I love you so much in return, and see him again and again and yet again lurking and listening and finding fun little ways to give us the things we've said we wanted and showing his huge and sincere and beautiful love and affection for us, including the gift of acting casual and human in front of us and letting us see him that way, letting us in, how someone would look at the absolute PRIVILEDGE of getting to be a part of all this of this beautiful relationship... and be like ugh but I just want him to act more professional actually.

i never wrote anything from reigen's pov during the last few chapters bc 1) i wanted to focus on the kids, and 2) i'm not totally confident in my ability to write something compelling from that pov w those circumstances. so here's a comic instead <3

You know I love these different Waffle Cookies that the creators made that one time, and how they each interpreted the waffle differently

The first one makes the waffle more like a shield or something? This one isn’t entirely clear, but it led to summoner/cleric

The second one seems to interpret the waffle as like a straw hat, and thus a bug catcher

The third one I’m told they made the connection between the waffle and chainmail, which led to them being some sort of monster tamer? I don’t know

And then this fourth one, the waffle got interpreted like a knit pattern, and so the Cookie’s a knitter

I love how each of these make a connection between the ingredient and something else, and then from there they can make a whole character from it

God I wish that were me. And also that I didn’t overthink things so much

I saw a TikTok that said they would be friends if they were in the same universe, and I wholeheartedly agree. They both have colder personalities in the books and have experienced many similar hardships. Both have faced the death of a younger sibling figure, betrayal by a best friend, and the loss of a lover—Peeta in a metaphorical sense, and Teresa/Newt (take your pick) in a literal sense. They’ve both gone through trauma-inducing trials, believed they were safe, and then been thrown into similar situations again.

Despite their similarities, they also have stark differences, mainly in terms of trust. While Katniss is almost constantly wary of the people around her, always believing that any act not based on fair trade or debt repayment has some hidden motive, Thomas can be too trusting. He was sent into the Maze because he revealed his escape plan to Teresa, someone loyal to WCKD. This led to Ava Paige discovering the plan, drugging the drink she offered Thomas (who had no qualms about accepting it), and sending him into the Maze. Even when Thomas knows people have betrayed him, like Teresa, he tends to forgive them.

So, I think this friendship could help them learn from each other and provide them with someone who understands what it’s like to endure such horrors.
