1 When I call, answer me, O God of my integrity! Deliver me from my distress! Have mercy on me and hear my prayer. 2 O men, how long will you try to destroy my dignity? How long will you assault me with lust and continue to live a lie? 3 Know that God protects Her daughters! She hears when I call out for help! 4 Stop sinning, and repent with fear and trembling. Consult the depths of your own hearts in sacred silence. 5 Offer to God the sacrifices of integrity and respect for all. 6 Many women say, "Who can do us any good?" Let the light of Your face shine upon us, O God. 7 You fill my heart with a joy that is greater than the pleasure of those stuffed with the best food and drink. 8 In peace I will lie down and sleep. Queenly Goddess, hear my humble prayer. My pet is in distress - my best friend and family. You know well the loving bonds forged between animal and human, having your Sacred Hounds yourself. From one owner to another, I call upon your Divine aid in ensuring the health of my pet. Their pain is my pain, and their distress is my distress. I ask that you ease the pain they feel, Peace Bringer, and that you lift away all of their worries, Soft-handed Artemis. Take their heart in your healing hands, and mend it with all the love and kindness you can. Hold them in your capable arms, and gift them with safety in these difficult times. Please, Warm-hearted Goddess, I ask that you keep my pet under your watchful eye and unmatched care.

As I wish only good on my own pets, I wish only good on yours. May you spend your days running alongside your Sacred Hounds through fields of vibrant flowers. May you and them both delight in the triumph of a successful hunt together, each and every night. Is it just me or does the way Hera is portrayed in the PJO/HOO series feel out of touch? By that I mean, while it plays into the idea of Hera's relationship with her husband's children and ideals of family, it seems like Rick just took that and ran with it without actually wanting to dive into those aspects and develop them more (ngl, his writing for his female characters, especially the goddesses, could use some work even if I do enjoy them). The reason Hera is the way she is with her husband's children is because she can't punish him [Zeus] directly due to him being more powerful (and the last time she turned against didn't he literally hang her from the sky)? And even while I'm not justifying her actions, there's a method to them, so why would she go after other random demigods like Percy and Annabeth? Or at least in a way that was written better than her falling into a trope (I enjoy this series with my heart, but the criticism about how the gods are written holds some value that shouldn't just be ignored either). Like, I don't know, it just feels like there was more that could've been done with her character instead of just immediately writing her off as the cruel, cold-hearted, evil stepmother (a trope that's overplayed, especially when not even bothering to give them any depth). I could write ideas, but then we'd be here all day.

Have a peaceful, safe, and rewarding day (repeat each morning, saying before and after "God, grant me a sympathetic heart, gentle words, and ready hands that I might help my neighbor in need. Amen.")

Relief from severe headache or back pain (don't use in place of conventional medical care)

Prayer for those who suffer: Victims of Genocide

Lord Have Mercy Lord Have Mercy Lord Have Mercy

Lord Come to their assistance, make haste to help them. Those who mourn. Those who cry. Those whose pain is far too much to bare. For those who live with no families left to hold. No mothers. No fathers. No children. Lord we pray to you that you shelter them from the evils of the world that seeks to harm them. That you bless their hearts. We ask you grant protection to those who live. Those who fight. and those imprisoned. We ask that you show mercy to us who watch. That you grant us opportunities to help and shelter: to protect and support.

Lord we ask that you hear our prayer. Grant these people in peace as there are many who suffer throughout the world. Sudan. Palestine. Democratic Republic of Congo. Papua New Guinea. and so so so many more places.

We pray for those who remain malnourished of their land and culture, and systematically occupied. We pray for their freedoms as well such as Puerto Rico, Hawaii and many many more places.

I pray for them and their safety. They are our brothers and sisters in humanity and I pray that you lend them your strength and protection. I pray for the Children, The orphans, The women, The widows, The grandparents who have out lived their offspring and their generations built, The men who lost their wives, The men who lost their children, The students robbed of education, The children robbed of their childhood, the people of this earth robbed of their lives.

I pray for Yemen, Lord, Lebanon, Lord, Ethiopia, Lord, Rwanda, Lord. as we know they too are in times of trial. Come to their Aid. And to the Aid of those all around the world who seek you, and need you.
