Yalls takeaway from that post is that attempting to enforce "boundaries" is a fruitless endeavor because you cannot account for every single preference that every single content creator has, and that the people who will get left behind will always be the most marginalized members of the community, right? You aren't reading that post and concluding that if you just police the fandom harder you can avoid societal biases and blindspots that impact marginalized identities, right? You aren't going to start harassing people for drawing Gem as a deer now, RIGHT???

write in the tags your nationality/which country you're from!
for USAmericans: write your state instead of USA to avoid having a way-too-easy yes sweep

#wait what what. i had no idea about thay for gem i #hmm. hmm
Hey, I am not trying to put you on blast here, but your tags are a perfect illustration of what I'm talking about. I would be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't know that Tango doesn't like his character depicted with horns. Even when someone doesn't know about his preference, people are swift to inform them—despite the fact that he has also clearly stated that he doesn't actually care if people depict him with horns or not. The same cannot be said for Gem, clearly, because here you are telling me you didn't know she had ever said anything about it.
Far be it from me to tell people what they are and are not allowed to draw or write, I'm the last person who would advocate for "boundaries" in this way, but the blatant double standard in whose boundaries get enforced bothers me. I'm not going to hunt down the tweet in question because the point I am making here is not that everyone should stop depicting Gem as a deer hybrid, but to point out the inherent biases in fandom when it comes to how male and female content creators are treated.
still absolutely insane to me that you never see tango depicted with horns anymore because of an offhanded comment about not caring much for it (but otherwise saying people can do what they want), but everyone is still climbing over themselves to draw gem as a deer despite her explicitly saying she really doesnt like it and doesnt want to be depicted as a deer lady and even changing her skin to remove the deer like elements to discourage people from giving her deer traits.
theres probably no reason for that double standard.
#callioposte#more broadly speaking I think this is also a perfect illustration of why it's stupid to police boundaries at all

speaking of branzy having power and control in his relationship with clown, i think where people go wrong with clownzy is they dont know what that looks like, and if you take clownzy in a vacuum you aren't ever going to find the answer, because branzy never abuses the power he has in his relationship with clown.
branzy's power in this relationship is the same as it is in any other relationship: he is observant, calculating, and exploitative. perfect example: trapping rekrap. theres a reason parrot came to branzy with this challenge. despite being a friend and teammate of rek's parrot never came anywhere near as close to succeeding as branzy did. branzy is not just close friends with rek, hes someone who knows how to observe others and note down behaviors, habits, strengths, and weaknesses. you cant brute force rekrap into a generic trap, and branzy knows this, so he uses his observations to tailor traps for rek that exploit his paranoia and work with it rather than against it. his entire video about reconciling with rekrap is a showcase of branzy showing this skill off! every one of the traps he made exploited the habits rek had that kept him safe from falling into other peoples traps. it was branzy spending that whole time ith rek saying "see how easily i can hurt you? arent i such a good guy because i dont?"
to take this back to clownzy, the entire reason clown teamed up with branzy is because he needed branzy to cover his weaknesses regarding redstone. their teamup was the result of clown falling into two other people's traps. hes putting a LOT on the line by letting branzy close to him, because hes basically giving branzy the key to destroying him. branzy is close enough to clown to know exactly how to exploit his nature and his weaknesses to kill him. or worse. hes smart enough to figure out a trap that would work on him. if he really wanted to betray clown he could have at any point, and theres a good chance he could have succeeded, too. the reason clown is constantly purposefully intimidating branzy is beacuse he knows branzy has the power to destroy him now, and he has to remind branzy of why that is a very bad idea. he has to assert his control of the situation. its clown saying you could kill me, but i could kill you worse.
and furthermore its not even the intimidation that keeps branzy from betraying him–well, not in the way youd think, anyway. because branzy is not afraid of risk. he got himself down to four hearts in the cleansing assisting his team even though clown explicitly told him to hide and protect himself. hes clearly not afraid of dying! no, the reason it works is because branzys a freak thats into it. he likes it when clown threatens him. and he GOT OUT. he wasnt teamed with clown in season 4 or 5, but he still gravitated to him anyway, because he missed that dynamic. he likes it when clown threatens him! and he likes it because its proof that clown considers him enough of a threat that he needs to keep him in line. because he doesnt make those kinds of threats with other weak players. he just kills them. and that power trip is a helluva drug.

most iconic couple will always be shawn spencer and juliet o'hara to me because he was cracked tf up and asked her to put a baby in him, and she, without question, simply said "not now, shawn."

i'm back with another Psych-Missed-Opportunity-Episode-Idea: Murder on the Orient Express episode. jules and lassie are on the train to get to a police conference or smth. gus is on the same train but going somewhere completely different; prolly a convention. shawn isn't supposed to be there. he snuck on. everyone is Unhappy about this, but before lassie can bring him to the authorities, a dead body is discovered. cue intro.
throughout the investigation, gus keeps suggesting the "everyone did it" conclusion bc he knows the original story and sees the parallels. shawn keeps telling him he's being paranoid. lassie is doing a terrible job hiding how pumped he is ab this pop murder investigation. gus's vast and intricate train knowledge keeps coming in handy. there's only a brief moment where any of them have cell reception, and shawn uses it to call in a henry-specific tip (after almost squandering it calling a restaurant to ask if their enchiladas come with sour cream, then trying to request a delivery to a moving train). there's a classic runaway train segment where juliet is the only one in the conductor's compartment and she's getting instructions from gus via walkie-talkie (which lassie had packed for this trip bc he has Problems) while the other two are elsewhere in a stand-off with the killer.
ripe for a goofy and absurd cast of suspects, like the clue episode. i'm thinking later seasons. there's a celebrity guest star who famously had a role in some train-related media. tell me you guys see the vision.
