Pure Global was founded during a critical moment in the pandemic. What were the key challenges and opportunities you identified at that time that led to its creation?

During the pandemic, we began by volunteering to help hospitals and schools source PPE. As we worked with global suppliers, we gained insight into the complexities of international trade and regulations. While assisting manufacturers with changing pandemic rules, we also improved our internal processes for efficiency.

Initially, we only supported a few organizations. However, as requests from manufacturers seeking assistance across various countries grew, we identified a clear need – and a market opportunity – for technology to modernize traditional, often inefficient workflows. We saw an opportunity to make a significant impact by developing solutions to address these challenges

Your Resource Center leverages AI to provide real-time regulatory updates and compliance insights. Can you walk us through how the AI algorithms identify and prioritize regulatory changes across 30+ global markets? What challenges did you face in training these models?

Our Global Markets Resource Center serves as a centralized hub for the latest regulatory updates and insights across all major global medical device markets. We’ve built a robust system to gather regulatory data from diverse sources, such as official agency websites, legal databases, and public announcements. This includes web scraping with intelligent parsing to extract data from unstructured formats like PDFs and HTML, as well as using APIs where available.

When clients register their devices in our Pure Certification module, we leverage AI to suggest the most relevant changes and prioritize them for review. AI text embeddings and similarity calculations rank these updates. For example, if you have a ‘portable dialysis machine’ and three related news articles:

Article #1: New guidelines for the disposal PPEs (cosine similarity to product: 0.2)

Article #2: FDA approves a new portable dialysis machine with improved safety features (cosine similarity: 0.8)

Article #3: Cybersecurity vulnerabilities discovered in connected medical devices (cosine similarity: 0.5)

Text embeddings convert all text into numerical representations in a multi-dimensional vector space. Cosine similarity then calculates the distance between these vectors. The higher the cosine similarity, the greater the relevance of the article to the product.

AI is truly breaking barriers in this regard. From our internal testing with localized regulatory experts, the accuracy of these AI translations exceeds 80%. Combined with our proprietary MedTech-specific multilingual glossaries, we can push this to over 90%, significantly reducing the time required compared to traditional translation methods.

With AI-driven tools like the Translation Manager and Certification Manager, what kind of feedback have you received from clients about their efficiency gains?

Additionally, AI can accelerate the design and prototyping of medical devices by generating design options, simulating performance, and optimizing for specific requirements, allowing companies to iterate quickly and bring new products to market faster.

Cybersecurity is becoming increasingly emphasized in the MedTech space. Aside from the ones that were chosen as starting companions, there were only a few lucky ones that got the chance to receive said calling as it seemed that Her Grace was someone really picky when it came to choosing those that were going to be called to her side. Among all the Liyue vision holders, it seemed that the favorite of Her Grace was none other than the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor Consultant; Mr. Zhongli.

Most believed that it was because of his extensive knowledge of Liyue's history, perhaps Her Grace liked knowledgeable people the most. Almost at the same time news from Fontaine said that the Chief of Justice, Mr. Neuvillette also answered Her Grace's call and even from Mondstadt an astrologist named Mona Megistus also answered said calling. Of course there was more than just them who had already the privilege of answering her call, including the Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing Miss Ningguang and the famous opera performer Miss Yun Jin.

As member of the adepti Cloud Retainer also had the secret wish that maybe some day her creator would call for her, after moving to live among humans and making a new identity she awaited every day. Heads up folks, NicoNicoDouga is currently down due to a large scale cyberattack

The attack happened on the 8th and the site is still down in terms of video streaming. Apparently there were reports of Ransomware being used during the attack.

The site is still “down” but the blog part is back up but from the report, videos and content posted are ok so do not fret. The site is still down as of this post (save for the blog) and it seems they are working their hardest to fix it and do damage control.

As announced in Niconico Info dated June 8th, 2024, Dwango Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takeshi Natsuno) has been unable to use the entire Niconico service operated by our company since the early morning of June 8th. Around 3:30 a.m. on June 8, a malfunction occurred that prevented all of our web services, including our "Nico Nico" and "N Preparatory School" services, from working properly. After an investigation, it was confirmed that the malfunction was caused by a cyber attack, including ransomware, at around 8 a.m. on the same day. A task force was set up on the same day, and in order to prevent the damage from spreading, we immediately cut off communication between servers in the data center provided by our group companies and shut down the servers, temporarily suspending the provision of our web services. In addition, since it was discovered that the attack had also extended to our internal network, we suspended the use of some of our internal business systems and prohibited access to the internal network.

As of June 14, we are currently investigating the extent of the damage and formulating recovery procedures, aiming for a gradual recovery.
