Do any of you ever wonder if Camp Half-Blood accidentally brought in a demigod of a different pantheon before?

This would be especially hilarious if it happens sometime after The Last Olympian/Heroes of Olympus, where the gods are required to claim their kids quickly.

A whole day passes, and the new demigod needs to sleep in the Hermes Cabin and Percy is furious. Meanwhile, the Greek Gods are pointing at each other and shouting, contacting the most obscure of mini gods. Chaos erupts on Olympus as every deity in Greek Mythology is called upon and interrogated. Hermes hasn't run around so much in centuries.

Hecate sits in silence, fully aware of what's happening, but enjoying the show too much to intervene.

fun fact if a group of friends all jokingly bully one friend, to the point two other friends r Known For Doing That, and the only person u think in the friend group that makes that bullied friend uncomfortable is the gay guy or u even hc for funsies that that gay guy is the bullied friend's abuser in fics but would Never interpret the other 2 straight friends that way despite way more egregious examples of being mean there is in fact something insidious to ur hc even if u think its silly ^v^b if two ppl in a series were both mutually toxic and u excuse one for being the victim and make the other the Worst Person Ever bc they hurt the other person even tho they were both mutually abusive/hurt eachother and were not even the only toxic/abusive relationship in the series but u only villianize the gay guy for how he treated the straight female partner but say nothing about ur fav being a cheater there is in fact something insidious to ur hc even if u think its silly ^v^b unpack why its easy and fun for u to make the gay gay abusive to his straight friends and make him uncomfortable or creepy but the other friends r fine for the same behavior! if one character is constly characterized as cold or calculating villianized and scrutinized for actions other characters have done and did way worse u r feeding into something by only seeing this one character this way and u r NOT immune to the homophobic stereotype of the creepy and abusive gay man, get ur shit together bye ^v^b

three weeks before jason grace died, he promised percy that after this quest he’d take a break from the camps and come stay with him in manhattan at the jackson-blofis household. percy was ecstatic he finally convinced jason to prioritize himself over the gods and he and annabeth couldn’t wait for jason to arrive in new york. he told sally all about jason, all his heroics and went on and on about how much admiration he had for the son of jupiter, along with how much effort jason put into anything and everything he was passionate about. sally hears it all. sally also hears percys sobs as will calls him to tell him jason died on that quest. that he was never going to make it to manhattan. that yet another of percys friends was ripped away from him by the fates. sally hears his sobs and her heart breaks for the kind hearted boy she never got to meet.

she still sets a plate on the table for jason the night he was supposed to arrive at the jackson-blofis household. percy tears up and excuses himself early. annabeth stares at it all dinner long before retreating after percy. sally finds them both curled up in percys bed a hour later, dried tears on their faces with an open photo album in annabeths lap. its open to a photo of percy, annabeth, nico, hazel and jason in the centre, with about 20 random necklaces on him. jasons smile is beaming as he looks at the camera. sally hopes jasons last moments weren’t spent in pain, but she knows they probably were.

(this might be dream drop distance erasure but) i still think kingdom hearts II was the gayest kingdom hearts game. no exaggeration whatsoever it's basically soriku: the game.

sora literally woke up from a fucking cosmic coma and was like "where's riku" and just went around to a dozen fucking worlds screaming "RIKU WHERE ARE YOU" at the top of his lungs and bothering everyone in the vicinity about riku's whereabouts (when they had no ever-loving clue who tf riku was) and then he kept getting bummed when he was roped into helping these people but it didn't help him find riku and then he was mad as hell shouting at donald and goofy in front of mulan and li shang's salads "SEE!!! i should've been with riku" because he felt guilty about being separated from riku and then eventually he reunites with the girl he's in love with (citation needed) and was like "oh cool! nice to see you! glad you made it! *gentle hug*" but then finds out riku has been physically turned into some scary-looking old guy but it's still riku and so he falls to his knees sobbing and holding riku's hand and crying about he looked everywhere for riku and how he's gonna find a way to save him and turn him back into himself and that riku's heart is still riku's so it's all good with him and then him and riku fight the big bad guy together and end up on some dark ass lonely ass beach apparently for eternity but they're both like "yeah this is fine because we're together :)" and they just keep fucking smiling and chilling but then kairi saves them and sora's like "we'll go together ♥︎" and pulls riku up out of the darkness that plagued him (!!!) and into the light (!!!!!!!) and they go home together. also that's just the obvious as hell surface level basic gameplay stuff. i didn't even talk nuance.

all this and you're like wow it really can't get gayer!! but then in kingdom hearts III they combine keyblades for a special edition pride month collab complete with rainbows and the paopu aka soulmate fruit. but sora is in love with kairi allegedly so what gives

youve grown up on a farm, ik billy is western but im actually thinking something more midwest; iowa/missouri/kansas

for the express purpose of the vibes of a once-great steel or railroad town, now resigned to notice by road trippers and academics researching the fall of industrial america

with this you've been kind of isolated; you had friends in high school but they've all either run as far as they could from their childhoods after graduation or languished in the remorse of not being able to escape

you. you didn't really want to escape; you're happy with your quiet ghostly life of taking care of your animals and avoiding talking politics with your parents

you grew up religious in a way that taught a god who was fear, you have made peace with a god who is your friend. knelt by your bed he has heard your deepest secrets told as girlish, gossipy whispers; your most outlandish, complicated questions asked like you are up too late at a sleepover

you are quiet for the most part, happy to twist your thoughts around into your head until they either make a pretty shape or break in two, and when you're not working the farm, you're wandering aimlessly through creeks and cemeteries and abandoned buildings

billy is, like everyone not born in a place like this, just stopping through - you meet him through your wanderlust, traipsing down a dead and dying main street as he pulls his equally moribund truck up to the curb, asking you for directions to the nearest mechanic

mechanic is the only one for miles and thus extortionate, but your father is handy and ready to help a stranger, so you tell billy that if his truck can make it a few miles up the road, he'll have a fixed engine for a reasonable price

he, of course, accepts and leans over to push open the door to give you a ride. you get to talking, learn that he was born in new york and has been living in new mexico, he's just travelling for a new job atm. he learns that you have lived here your whole life and have no real desire to move, have never had a reason to have that desire, and he smiles and tells you that he respects comfort in consistency, that he wishes he had a place he felt that settled

when you get back to your house your father helps billy fix his truck and your mother has you take iced tea out to the men, which you also drink a glass of while sitting on the cluttered porch and watching billy bent over the open hood

he's pretty, sure, but you cannot decide whether he is worth loving. if he is as transient as everything else that blows through this town like tumbleweeds, if - and a big if - you fell in love, would it flit away just as quickly as businesses seem to be closing down?

you pray those questions that night, as cricket song and sticky, heavy heat presses through your open window and gets circulated by a white box fan that stays on more for the comforting noise than any kind of cooling

god doesn't respond in words, because that's not how god works, but the next morning when you're in the grocery store squeezing plums to find one that is a little bit further from overripe than the others, billy finds you and tells you that he'll be staying in the motel in town for a few weeks (you make a face, he laughs) because his job has been delayed and maybe if you'd like to go out with him sometime, you could go to the one nice chain restaurant in town and if you decide you trust him (and his truck, which is still...questionably functional, even after repairs) enough, maybe you could drive out a little ways, just towards some of the corn fields? he would show you the stars?

and oh, you realize, this is god's answer and love and guiding hand. maybe it is time to move on.
