The Last Jedi AU: Ignore whatever’s supposed to happen or where people are in this movie. Paige Tico is foiled in her attempt to release the bombs that would take out the First Order ship. Her ship is boarded and she’s taken onboard the Star Destroyer as a captive intelligence officer, but before she’s captured she’s able to relay a covert message to Rose telling her what happened.
Instead of the diversion to Canto Bight, Rose is the one with the knowledge of splicing into Imperial ships and she and Finn impulsively plan to jet over to the Star Destroyer in an escape pod Rose had been experimenting with a cloaking device on, the two of them breaking in on their own.
Finn finds Poe to tell him of Paige’s capture and his and Rose’s plan. Poe knows that he can’t condone or contribute resources to it and knows for a FACT Leia won’t allow it, despite the fact Paige is a friend and the same rank he is. He’s torn between getting her back but needing to stay and lead, so he he tells them to take BB-8 and does that Mr. Incredible thing where he tells Finn and Rose what “NOT” to do to get into an Imperial flagship, him planning the distraction from the outside and still screwing with Hux over the comms and keeping eyes turned his way as Finn and Rose sneak onboard to find Paige.
Can you imagine if like they manage to get into some labs while they’re doing recon and Finn senses something? Can you imagine him hesitating as they move, telling Rose they have to go back while she’s hissing for him to keep moving? Her either hacking into the tech to redirect First Order troops away from their location, or going off to find her sister herself while Finn stays behind? Finn finding schematics and draftings alongside old codexes and scrolls before eventually coming to the humming, fractured kyber crystal in the next room, hanging suspended in midair above the equipment? Realizing as he’s digging through the odd mix of both scientific and semi-magical texts what it’s for, but that Ren hasn’t been able to force it to conform to his needs, too unstable to be housed even in his own lightsaber? Finn starting to configure and piece things together even as Rose tells him they’re running out of time?
As they’re sneaking around, gathering pertinent information to the plot and finding Ren’s plans for Rey and Skywalker, they’re nearly caught— Surrounded by First Order troops and with seemingly no way out, Rose and Finn prepare for the worst, when all of a sudden one of the troops goes rogue and eliminates all of their fellow officers instead. Paige Tico managed to escape and had disguised herself, just happening to be lucky enough to run into them in the lower levels. Paige tells them of some of the other rebel prisoners aboard the ship she was planning to break out, and the three of them, finally united, start plotting their means off Ren’s flagship when they overhear Hux in the corridor talking about Ren meditating in some inner sanctum with an order to be left alone with his own retinue on pain of death as he searches the Force or whatever for the location of Rey and Skywalker
Back onboard the New Republic ship Poe and Leia confer with the other generals as to what the Sith’s next move is going to be when they receive an incoming transmission from Kylo Ren himself.
As Kylo Ren and Leia Organa face off in what was to be their last confrontation, the tone and gravitas of their conversation somber, something flickers over the feed, and everybody on the New Republic ship’s bridge sees a blinding arc of light as one of the First Order troops behind Ren steps out of line and carves a blade of shimmering green in a downward arc directly behind him.
Outraged and caught off guard, Ren blocks the attack with his own blade, both lightsabers flickering with different energies, and as Finn’s voice shouts over the holo Poe realizes that not only has Finn given them an opening to hit Ren’s flagship, he may have even been able to stop this war in its tracks.

How To Start Writing Fanfiction;
Hi, hello, I’m Jules and earlier today I was asked by a mutual about how to start getting into fanfiction. So, this is me doing my best to explain it as someone who sucks at explaining things.
First, what the fuck is fanfiction? Fanfiction is a type of writing that is based off existing works of fiction. What’s the point of it? Entertainment for both you, the fan and the writer and for the reader, whether you share it or not, that’s your choice. Fanfiction is supposed to be fun, if it’s not fun, put it down and try another project. But it also can be used to tell a different story then the original creator had. Maybe your perspective of that one character is different from other people, so you use YOUR perspective to tell the character’s story differently.
1) You can start by listing things you like; tv shows, movies, books, anime- literally anything you like.
I will use myself as example: the vampire diaries(great series and books), the great gatsby(a fucking classic everyone should read BEFORE seeing the movie which is also beautiful and sad and romantic), blood and chocolate- if you love werewolves and romance- fuck yes! I actually read the book and watched the movie so many fucking times, I could quote it as a teenager. I’m currently getting back into Marvel stuff after rewatching X-Men movies for two weeks. One of my favorite things about marvel is how well it’s done. The storylines co-existing simultaneously! Time travel!
-one fucking thing I’ve learned about time and space is that time itself is both existing and not existing at the same time and because scientists that have degrees and shit on it still haven’t figured it out so if you wanted to write about twilight characters finding a gadget that takes them back in time to change unpleasant outcomes they face in the real story, it would perfectly fine and super entertaining.- (seriously, if someone wanted to write that story, I would love to read it and go along that journey with you as you write it)
My point is; to write fanfiction, you have to start with something that YOU like. YOU- the fan- it’s YOUR story.
👉🏻 I forgot to mention that people do write fanfiction about band members they adore and I read some traumatizing good one direction fics when I was in high school. 👈🏻
2) Things to add to that list would include characters you love or hate🤷♀️ that’s cool too, quotes from characters for inspiration, settings that stand out to you. Maybe there’s a weird mood or idea that stood out to you. Write it down! The more notes you have can greatly benefit you even if that’s not the project you want to start out with.
3) Baby steps. You gotta start somewhere. One of my first fanfictions was written in middle school, I think some folks call it junior high? It was called Harry Potter and the Dragon’s Eggs. It was basically a fic based the goblet of fire where Harry Potter had slowly growing bond with Draco Malfoy’s sister(a nonexistent character that I made up for my fun) who also got her name in the goblet somehow. They (those chosen) were given dragon eggs to hatch. I never got to finish it because my English teacher got mad that I was writing during my “silent lunch”(a form of punishment where they separate you from your classmates to eat lunch alone and silent and that woman was not going to let little me write for fun during her punishment.) not only did she read it, call me over to criticize it, she then threw it away. But yeah, you have to start somewhere and it might not be great at first but it might surprise you. A lot of people write fanfiction better than they write original works🤷♀️. Honestly, if you’re having fun, who cares if it’s bad, again, you don’t have to share it if you don’t want to.
I recently found my Edgar Allan Poe fanfiction that I wrote for my high school senior project (a project that was worth x percentage of your final grade for the school year.) my idea was based off learning that Edgar Allan Poe went missing for a short bit before he passed away by an unknown cause. So, I wrote a story about him chasing strange visions and a letter from a woman he once knew. He had a creepy fucking raven stalking him and hallucinations. The point is; I took what I knew and then wrote a story from it. And you can take the most bare minimum of details about a show you love and still create something with it. The possibilities are literally endless. The only thing stopping you is YOU.
I want to thank my mutual @that-weird-kid-from-your-school for asking me, this was fun. And I’m sure I can add to it later on. I’m also always open to answering questions, whether it be in post form or in my inbox anonymously.
I will also be open to others adding any tips or advice that help them! 💜

Controversial Star Wars opinion: The conflict between Poe Dameron and Admiral Holdo was super weird and I still can't figure it out. What was the inclusion of that conflict supposed to do for either character?
…The Last Jedi is actually my favourite of the Sequel Trilogy… I suppose that’s a controversial opinion of my own 😉
In terms of plot-line, the conflict is fine. It gives Poe’s storyline more drama.
However, I don’t like what it does to Poe’s character. Because that arc made Poe look disrespectful, arrogant, mutinous, and (from a certain point of view) kinda sexist!
Also, as the arc paints Holdo in a somewhat villainous light, it means you don’t really have time to grow fond of Holdo before she sacrifices herself. It makes her sacrifice less poignant.
Compare her death to the deaths of Rogue One, for example.
But anyway, that’s just how I’ve felt about it for a while now. Thank-you for giving me the chance to vent, Anon!

Look, I don't have any strong desire to stand up for Kylo Ren fans -- primarily because I am personally incapable of experiencing strong fan emotions about anything in the Star Wars sequels, on account of them being embarrassingly inept films from an embarrassingly inept filmmaker (not you, Rian, you're doing amazing sweetie) -- but it is low-key annoying how far off base all those posts are that are like, but Finn and Poe are right there, are you stupid or something? Like, what's not clicking here? Obviously Oscar Isaac and John Boyega are traditionally handsome movie star men, and obviously Adam Driver is -- not exactly that. People aren't really disagreeing there.
It shouldn't take some kind of fan studies scholar to understand that Kylo Ren stans are reacting to story elements -- to whatever combo of soul bonds and fall-and-redemption tragedy and just plain villain kink turns their particular crank. It's so weird to see people scornfully be like, why can't you like the hot ones like a normal person? Because the hot ones weren't as interesting, is why! Nothing in the movies is all that deep, but whatever meat there is on the bone at all is entirely about the love-hate relationship Rey and Luke and Han and Leia all have with Kylo Ren, there are not emotional arcs anywhere else that matter very much to the story. The only other character who has anything resembling a personal journey is Finn, and all that's ever going to be said about that is said in the first 20 minutes, really.
Not everyone gets turned on by someone getting an interesting storyline, but if you've been in fandom for more than five seconds, it shouldn't be weird to discover that plenty of fans do pick their faves for story-related reasons, and not just because they're the most handsome actor on the screen. It's why we call half of our faves scraggly wet cats and that kind of thing!
#i wouldn't call myself a fan of any of them#but he is the least boring thing about the trilogy#and i support people who find that hot

could i ask for 6 for the q&a? needing some advice tbh.
What do you think is the best way to improve writing skills?
Practice and research. I know it's been preached probably a thousand times but practice will literally help you so much more than just thinking how bad of a writer you might be. Firstly, you're not. There's no such thing as a bad writer, just bad editing.
Am I harping on editors? Absolutely not, but if you look me in the eye and say "His eyebrows widened" and not think there's something awry, then you're not good at editing or lack brain cells or you're insanely exhausted and just want to get this thing submitted before the deadline. This is an actual quote for a VERY POPULAR story about the many hues of monochromatic color. I will never forgive this.
Second: Research. What do I mean by that? Well, what do you want to write? My primary writing style leans more towards erotic-romance because that's the type of research I do regularly. What do i mean by this? I mean, i read nonstop horny shit on the reg. Probably Warrior Cats was the first thing I read that wasn't horny in months, maybe a year.
A couple of the books I read are stories like the Ice Planet Barbian Series or my recent fixation, a vampire erotica series called "Unchained." These? They're both VERY corny mind you. these books in particular are written to be consumed by a horny audience.
Now, if you wanna do something with a more developed storyline, lean into that. Find books like that. For more intense stories, I have read "A Touch of Darkness," a modern retelling of the Hades and Persephone story, highly popularized by the Lore Olympus comics. This book had I think...three scenes that were erotic, but even then, it was more emotional eroticism rather than horny.
Find the niche that you thrive in. For me? That's erotic novels. For my friend? That's what we call "Emo Poetry," by which we mean Edgar Allen Poe inspired poems. For Stephen King? Weird horror.
The tldr: Write what you want to read.

Reylo confession time (permission to skin me alive) but don't keep reading if you love TLJ: I actually find TLJ not an overall particularly... great? amazing? completely watchable film?, and whilst I think its guiding ethos was actually pretty sound (death which brings new life) and its online reaction overblown - to my own personal tastes, I don't like a lot of it. I enjoy when the Force and Resistance plotlines intersect but I find the latter extremely tedious. (I enjoy Rose, and Paige's last stand at the beginning of the film). I get that it goes back to the OT and its original dogfighting, war film influences, but I really do not overall enjoy the plot of 'rebelling against the evil empire' blah blah, and it's particularly bad in the ST since TLJ is saddled with rehashing the exact same conflict as the OT which the first Sequel Trilogy film sets up and forces us to sit through.
There's a foundational issue with it as a consequence of TFA and I don't buy into it and I find it very hard to care about because Bowser will come back in the Sequel Sequel Trilogy, presumably, and it's less mythic more than it is like, the same shit all over again.
I think there's also the issue in that Kylo Ren can't replicate the connective tissue between the Force and Resistance plotlines the way Darth Vader does, because he's not in the same position of authority (Hux wields a lot of that) and because he's so obviously the Prodigial Son/Cursed Prince. The only bit that really works for me is the scene with Luke at the end, and that's really where I think the two plotlines work together for something actually greater than its parts.
In this sense, Kylo Ren having less authority and more evident narrative sympathy from Day 1 with Driver's performance makes the story overall suffer (in terms of a retread of the OT), because it's trying to retread the OT and moving around parts which can't be moved around. This isn't a TLJ problem per se, this is a ST problem, and I think that's why TLJ takes such a specific and personal focus on Kylo Ren with the Force Bond storyline. It adds something new, it justifies why the ST exists, because it's not just Vader redone - and one can dispute the Anidala redemption of the relationship all one likes, but I think that Reylo is justified on the grounds that it's new and it works with the role Kylo Ren has been given (and Rey, as the outsider).
But that's why I don't find it interesting once Rey turns to the Resistance plotline at the very end because I don't have very much emotional investment in it, and I get it - it's often justified on the grounds that well, now she has a taste of true emotional awakening, the Resistance and Force stories can properly cohere in the third film (which never happened) - but all of this is feeding into each other in that where the ST has a unique identity, it's weakened by the saddle of the OT retreading. Which is ironic, because the online furore was so soundly grounded in it not being the latter enough, and where it does retread it, who actually remembers what the OT was about anyway? Lol. Fundamental aspects of the OT identity are discarded where personal power fantasy has been inserted.
It makes me feel a bit weird because I know Reylos generally love TLJ and I kept this to myself for a long time, and no, I don't think criticisms of TLJ generally come from the same place as me. What I'm basically saying is that the Reylo plotline works so well for what the ST uniquely is, and what it uniquely has to say - and I enjoy the Rey-Luke dynamic as well, especially because I love realistic characterisation, do none of you remember Luke with Yoda lol, why does everybody want Rey to be universally perfect and loved by everybody ever it's so weird - and the film is just really dragged down with baggage and the Resistance plotline. I wish that it were interwoven better, and part of that is clearly production changes (Poe was meant to die in the first film) and part of that is the most interesting parts being left for the third film which were never reprised (Stormtrooper rebellion with Finn), and I also recognise that this comes down to personal taste. I'm much more interested in the heart of SW than I am in the overall aesthetics, and this is why EU material doesn't interest me at all.

Reviewing Some of Edgar Allan Poe’s Short Stories
DISCLAIMER: I am not an English major or anything like that so don’t expect an actual detailed review, I just picked up a collection of his short stories one day because BSD has me in a chokehold. Also, my recollection of the stories may be inaccurate as I’m going mostly off of memory.
Manuscript Found in a Bottle - 4/10
- Basically the story is written as if the reader found a bottle in the ocean full of, you guessed it, manuscripts (letters)
- The letters themselves are meant to be written by a guy who decided to journey out to sea and writes about all the strange events that happen while he’s out sailing
- Now this would probably be an interesting story, but Poe stuffed so many technical ship terms like ‘beam-ends’ and ‘ballast’ that I spent more time trying to figure out what he was describing rather than understanding the plot itself
- Because of this, all I really managed to grasp of the story is that there was a strange storm and then all the crew members started acting weird before some weird phenomenon happened in the ocean that killed everyone
- It wasn’t a bad story but I really couldn’t keep up with all the technical lingo (did people back then just casually know these terms?) which reduced my enjoyment a lot, but I liked the concept of the story being a series of letters left behind by someone at sea
Ligeia - 8/10
- Now I actually really liked this one, the story is told through the words of a man who is reminiscing about his deceased wife, Ligeia
- About 1/3 of this story is the narrator describing how absolutely infatuated he was with his wife and how pretty and smart she was, which introduced me to some of my favourite quotes of all time, such as:
‘They became to me twin stars of Leda, and I to them devoutest of astrologers.’ (in relation to describing Ligeia’s eyes)
‘In beauty of face no maiden ever equalled her. It was the radiance of an opium-dream - an airy and spirit-lifting vision more wildly divine than the phantasies which hovered about the slumbering souls of the daughters of Delos.’
- Yeah I wasn’t kidding when I said this guy was INFATUATED with her. After he finishes gushing about her, he starts to talk about her falling ill and that she recited some cryptic poem about God and death shortly before she died
- After Ligeia’s death, the narrator falls into a form of depression, moves out into a mansion in England and marries a woman named Rowena, who he doesn’t like nearly as much as Ligeia
- He then continues to describe his entire mansion in painful detail (like he describes EVERYTHING about this mansion, good god) and talks about how his new wife, Rowena, also eventually fell ill
- THIS IS WHERE IT GETS INTERESTING, Rowena becomes so severely ill that she eventually dies and gets wrapped up in bandages or something of the sort to preserve her body before her body can be collected to be buried
- At night, the narrator goes into Rowena’s room and sits by her corpse while smoking opium (poor guy is really going through it at this point). As he sits there, he notices that Rowena’s body starts to breathe and move as if its alive, with some occasional sounds coming from her mouth. When this happens, the narrator is reminded of Ligeia and this whole fiasco continues for a while until eventually, the corpse gains enough life(?) to stand up by itself, at which point the bandages fall from its face and reveals the face of Ligeia *audience gasps*
- Yeah so this story had all the good stuff, beautiful descriptions (if not a bit excessive at times), an engaging storyline, and a nice creepy ending. Genuinely, I read this one very late at night and that whole part with the corpse coming back to life actually left me a bit antsy, in my opinion it was written quite well.
The Man that was Used Up - 6/10
- So uh, this entire story felt like a fever dream. So many sections of this story repeat over and over again that it makes you feel like you’re going mad. I think this was intended to be a mystery but it kind of read a bit more like a comedy because of that. Also Poe uses so many random French words and phrases in this one. I think it was like ‘fashionable’ to use random French in your conversation back then, and this one is written through the point of view of a guy who lives among upper class society (I think).
- Basically, the narrator is talking to his friend who mentions a guy called ‘Brevet Brigadier-General John A. B. C. Smith’ (he was referred using his full title like this throughout the entire story and it drove me up the wall). This John Smith guy apparently was very ‘heroic’ and killed some Native Americans in something called the ‘Bugaboo and Kickapoo Campaign’. Yeah nowadays I think he would be considered scum of the Earth, but seemingly back then this was a thing that people were praised for.
- In any case, the narrator hears of this ‘heroic’ act and thinks nothing too much of it until his friend mentions that there was something very strange about Smith’s appearance. The narrator then grows obsessed with finding out what this secret is and it becomes the entire plot of the story. He goes round to multiple people asking them to describe Smith but they somehow get interrupted every. single. time.
- Eventually, the narrator ends up going directly to Smith’s house to see for himself what the big secret is. He is greeted by Smith’s valet, who takes him to Smith’s room. The narrator hears Smith’s voice coming from a clump of clothes(?) on the floor, and slowly the valet starts to assemble Smith using various prosthetics. The narrator begins to realise what Smith’s secret is: he is the man that was used up.
- Now while the ending is quite cool and the general idea behind the plot is interesting, the entire build-up to this ending was a headache. Having to read the narrator go on a wild goose chase to figure out this secret while every other paragraph was repeated word for word made me feel like I was reading something straight out of Alice in Wonderland. Kind of interesting but a painful process to get to the good part, which only lasts for a paragraph or so once you get to it.
The Tell-Tale Heart - 9/10
- This is personally my favourite short story from Poe’s collection. I first read it in secondary school and have loved it ever since. It’s written in a way that is easier to understand than a lot of Poe’s other stories, and it’s not too descriptive either.
- This story essentially follows the narrator’s descent into madness as he grows obsessed with the idea of killing an elderly man who lives with him. He eventually manages to kill the man and hides the body under the floorboards. However, due to the noise he made, the police are alerted and come over to his house to see what’s going on.
- The narrator, satisfied with the murder he just carried out successfully, gets cocky and invites the policemen into his home. However, as the policemen sit and chat amongst themselves, the narrator grows increasingly more and more paranoid that the policemen actually know that he murdered the man, and that they are just toying with him. Throughout this whole ordeal, the narrator becomes more and more convinced that he can hear the dead man’s heart beating from under the floorboards, and he becomes convinced that the police can hear this too, despite them not showing any signs of doing so.
- Eventually, in a fit of panic and desperation, the narrator flings open the floorboards and reveals to the policemen the corpse of the elderly man, as well as his ‘hideous heart’.
- The way Poe has written the narrator’s descent into madness is so believable. When the narrator grows paranoid believing he can hear the corpse’s beating heart, it felt so convincing that I felt as if I could relate to the narrator’s emotions myself. At one point, I was on the edge of my seat, wanting the narrator to be able to carry out the murder undetected just as much as the narrator wanted to. This will always remain my favourite work of Poe’s, unless I find a better one.

EXACTLY THUS GIVING REASONS FOR MORI TO BETRAY EVERYONE.
tbh Dazai was a really confusing character to begin with. Just like Fyodor, he is unpredictable. What really is questioning is that if Ranpo is like a Mastermind himself, How is he unable to figure other's motive? Even if he didn't have an ability, in dead apple we could see Ranpo sitting on the table after the fight, Unless he was the first one to be revived in that world.
And frankly speaking, i think the plot might as well as get little weird if Oda is alive, considering we saw Dazai visit his grave. But I agree to the fact Oda's dreams and ambitions may be used next to continue the story. Infact to think, There are the guild people who we still don't know much about??? Like the guy who created Moby dick?
I haven't read storm bringer fully BUT EVERY BSD BOOK IS WORTH TO BE ANIMATED.
BUT TO THINK OF IT,
WHAT IF RANPO ACTUALLY MASTERMIND ALL?
What if the jail they resist in is nothing but a storyline created inside Poe's book? Because if that's true then Dazai really did survive the elevator fall.
Questioning
So its really sus how things work ft @im-feeling-hiraeth Part-1
AM SORRY THE POST WAS GOING TO LONG FOR MY DEVICE TO SCOLL DOWN-
@im-feeling-hiraeth
LMAO IMAGINE Fukazawa taking care of that cat to find its his mentor smthg or the cat is a normal cat and we are overreacting-
I am pretty sure the plot isnt even about the book. Its because fukuzawa denied Fukuchi's offer to army. LIKE COME ON HE JUST WANTS THE BOOK TO ERASE STUFFF
I feel like even if they revive someone, there is a chance someone else dies, most bet on Dazai :\
As much i appriciate Nikolai's character, he is more messier then fyodor himself. And i feel like Sigma may as well as vanish because whenever there is a story, backstab and angst is a must-
What i find funny is that in all this situation, ADA is more of a terrorist then PM itself, and Mori as well be partnering with Fyodor, because well Rats over the city.
The fact that Kenji and Tecchou just fought and there is a little possibility that Tecchou is on ADA's side now (?)
Its indeed heartwarming to find Tachihara's motive to help, but do we realize that he just whoops died? i lowkey feel he is still alive- and Tachihara is such an underrated character.
But i really want to find out what truly is inside the minds of Nikolai and Bram, because like getting a backstory of how Fukuchi half killed?? Bram will be interesting.
Lets not forget the kid-

The real stuff about bsd
1)Bungou Stray Dogs: Why is it always the ships??? Soukoku, Shin soukoku, Ranpoe etc? Always it is a ship! Always it is a gay ship, which overpowers the anime. The anime is called bungo stray dogs, not romance or anything. Why so focused on the ships? Why so many gay this character gay that character ? Why hypothetical ships like kouyosano and higugin? Why is it always ships??? Bsd has such a great plot, interesting storyline, with a lot of creative bittersweet elements. The plot is beautiful and unpredictable, and yet people are like, "Damn, where's Dazai X Chuuya. Lol Atsushi so gay, what a pussy" Next- Nakajima Atsushi, this guy is seriously such a great character. He sees through pain, is understanding, strong and in the animanga as a whole, has shown immense development in his trauma, and lack of self confidence and has tried to move forward, forgetting the past. Such a great character. But of course, in the end accordind to the fandom, its like, "Lol Atsushi such a kitty, what a bottom lmao, he needs Akutagawa to protect his lil cat" What a load of shit. Then Akutagawa, one of the most interesting side characters, which is rather unique, considering he always has a the desire to prove himself to Dazai in an unhealthy way, which shows how human he is with flaws, but got development after Kyouka left the mafia. But in the fandom, "Akutagawa!! Protect your kitten. Lmao he totally loves Atsushi. Top energy, gay lovehaha." Like seriously what the fuck? Ships, ships and more ships. Sigh, I hope this changes after s4 drops, but I dont have any hopes. The Author needn't put so much efforts to make the story likable to audience, he can just make some hypothetical gay ships canon and poof! There! A best seller manga! Nakahara Chuuya- Don't even get me started on this guy. He is great. A god sealed inside, a struggle to accept himself, trying to be true to himself, that is a simple genius character, as he is not just weirdly hot tempered for no reason. But in the end, "Look at my shortie tsundere hiding his feeling for Dazai, how cuteee, bottom ahahah." This is abseloutly ridiculous and weird! Treat him like an independent character not a bottom in fucking to Dazai lmao. Seriously. Dazai Osamu- He.is.overrated.period. But he isnt bad. But he isnt a rapist to Chuuya lmao. Neither he is interested. He is a complex character, with a rather interesting mindset. Seriously. Come on. Ranpo Edogawa- "Wait he was hunting dogs and has an interesting backstory and a great peronality? Nah fuck it, lets just ship him with Poe for no fking reason!" Poe- "He has a friendship sort rivalry with Ranpo which makes him interesting? Nah, he's just a weak bottom." The Guild cast "Who?" Soukoku, Shin Soukoku, Fukumori- This are, well hierarchial order of partnership, as some would say. Now these are not just gay ships, there is so much interesting elements to them. (go read the fucking manga or watch the anime if you wanna know what the elements are.) Diamond polishing another, the hatred bit still soft side of caring, this is interesting, highly. Fukuzawa and Mori's past, Dazai and Chuuya's secret care for each other. Atsushi and Akutagawa's difference of opinion, these factors make a relationship likable. But just stop romanticizing them so fucking much. Yes they are good team. End! Why go so deep just for the sake of a gay romantic relationship? Jeez fuck it. Female Cast- (Note: this will not include Yuan and Naomi) Every single female is so great, with such interesting backstories, espcially Koyo. BUT NO! IT'S JUST GAY SHIPS!!!!!!! Always! Yosano, Kyouka, Mizuki, Gin such interesting personalities, such great sophisticated backstories, but fuck no. SHIPSHIPSHIP. Female cast has played such well role, (I like that about the bsd female cast, they aren't sexual objects, they have there own perosnalites and own backstories to support the story) in the bsd arcs as a whole. Oh but Fuck no. SHIP! Damnit. Get real people, Bsd ain't all about gay ships, a lot goes into it. (btw, i ain't homophobic, if i gave that view, i like lgbt+ ships when they are centralised, also i feel like the biggest YmiKuri and Unemoya x Mafuyu stan sometimes, so that is cool.) Please understand guys. Bsd is much larger than weird ships. It used to be a joke, it aint fucking no more feels like one.

HEACANON MEME ABNER DUCK ANSWER
@hezurkubo
Abner Whitewater Duck
Headcanon A: realistic
Living out in the woods livin’ off the fat of the land. Cranky guy but likes his cousins well enough. Probably as a kid was a bully type but when his cousins got bullied he’d bully those bullies back. Ha. This goes for old style and 2017 ducktales/verse.
Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious
So in an 87/comics storyline I hope to put out some for SOMEDAY, long story short Gladstone finds out something supernaturalish is happening tied to the Coot bloodline. Gladstone has to vaguely/awkwardly ask his cousins like HEY this weird stuff happening to you too. But being vague because if it's not happening to them he doesn’t want to draw attention to it??? But he needs to warn him if it's a thing they’re having issues with too??? While all the cousins are like nah nothing strange going on.
Abner is the last cousin he goes to because he’s a recluse in the woods and never seemed the type to believe on spooky magic supernatural stuff. As a kid Abner probably told his younger cousins that the Easter Bunny wasn’t real. Ha. ANYWAYS. Gladstone goes to him with his vague, ‘hey notice this thing going on…’ and instead of Abner laughing him out of his shack he’s all serious face like, “OH I been knew about that buddy.”
Anyways I see him as being a little knowing of magic. Like some light basics ‘kitchen witch’ type. (Which I have Grandma Duck be a tiny bit like too…) It would just be a detail so the opposite of the rest of how I see him as stereotypical recluse mountain man. Tough silent tired tough boy with some dry sarcasm. Pours a beer in a protection potion he’s making because one of the ingredients is mead. Close enough. You know what the world needs, a redneck Dr. Strange.
Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends
God I had this one AU for 2017 that Abner is living away from the family in the woods because he’s a werewolf (wereduck?) NOT THE ONE LAUNCHPAD DATED. He’s living in seclusion because he doesn’t wanna accidently hurt family. Weh. He’s very angst and alone about it. However Fethry is also a werewolf but more chill about it. Stays with his brother during full moons but still out socializing when NOT FULL MOON. (Though during time in the under water station since he was under water away from the moon did he not change? Or did he change and explain some of the mess down there. Ha…)
The whole AU isn’t fleshed out much though even though Abner is going through some things. The AU was just made for me to ship Poe with Fethry and Poe be like “I’m a warlock and am dating this innocent cinnamon roll that will never understand the darkness of my world” but then Fethry takes him to visit his brother and Fethry tells Poe about being a werewolf and Poe is like “OH THANK GOD Please rail me behind the barn.” And Abner just has to be like:

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.
Man I would love to see a Fethry and Abner adventure comic. One of my fav comics is Fethry and Gladstone working together on an adventure and Fethry seems oblivious that Gladstone’s luck is helping them succeed. I would like to see something like that with Fethry and Abner but Abner’s being a tough aggressive guy is what is helping them. Like a wild bear is behind Fethry that he doesn’t see and about to attack him but Abner just gives the bear a death glare and the bear backs off and runs off before Fethry can see. LOL. THAT kinda hijinks.

Okay so I watched the raven (2012) movie.
I’m spiralling down a weird lovecraftian, Edgar Allan Poe, Sandman obsession🥰😩🫠 I really enjoy this movie though. I adored the storyline, the way they had to figured out the clues left at every place they were lead to through the clues in search of Poe’s beloved. The acting was incredible, the way the serial killer actually took Poe’s stories and brought them to life, horrifically twisted. Also John Cusack, Luke Evans & Oliver Jackson-Cohen fantastic actors. I adored watching them on screen and the scene were they were all in the same room had me like;

No Lego Star Wars Lego kiss apparently I’ll take this win
Also jj abrams is a flawed man but I still blame most of tros’s problems on rj. Lando’s super weird small role? Why didn’t rj bring back Lando in tlj? Finn only getting confirmed force sensitivity as opposed to a lightsaber/Jedi arc? Rj didn’t develop Finn’s storyline at all so jj had to do all the heavy lifting. Rose ended up getting sidelined because tlj didn’t move the plot forward at all so she ended up getting shafted when tros had to fill the role of two movies in one. There even was less archive footage of leia bc of rj’s idea of knocking her out for most of a movie so the much younger Laura dern (whose character is still somehow Leia’s age?) could command the ship instead for seemingly no reason
The only truly awful thing was the updated Poe backstory and I wouldn’t be surprised if that came from CT’s weird script
I hate Star Wars so much it’s unreal though
it’s sad how much tlj and a impacts of it really killed my love for star wars. like i still love the originals but i just can’t bring myself to care anymore about anything new.

☕ + the last jedi
it's sucks.
ok but really TLJ is just. so weird to me. the thing that really gets me. like REALLY gets me. is that RJ was given the second movie of a trilogy, the eight part of a nine part series, and decided that he was -- just going to go FUCK IT to all of the themes and genre expectations and tone of the star wars.
like i'm not even saying that's BAD. Rogue One does a great job with adding more dimension to the events of the original trilogy by basically doing that. Solo wasn't GREAT but it was fun and went in for the heist film element. Most of the subsequent live action star wars shows have had their own twists and tonal differences and unique storytelling viewpoints. And all of that is great!
but MAYBE doing it IN THE MIDDLE OF A TRILOGY that you're not even making any more movies for is uh.........just very self centered of you. like there is a time for subversion! there is a time for thoughtful critiques of the heroes of our childhood!! but is that time REALLY two movies from the end of a nine part series????
it's also SCREAMINGLY annoying to me that everyone associated w star wars/disney corp keep trying to gaslight us into thinking Finn's storyline in that movie was good. like EVEN IF you like the reylo shit and whatever else is going on in TLJ, can you HONESTLY explain how Finn's character arc in that film is ANY DIFFERENT from his character arc in TFA.
In TFA: Finn deserts from the First Order and puts his safety and that of Rey over helping the Resistance bc he's already been through TOO MUCH with the FO and just wants the chance to be free of them & protect his friend, but then comes around to helping the Resistance after all because he realizes the FO needs to be stopped and he's got the ability to help do so.
In TLJ: Finn wakes up and immediately tries to leave the Resistance, putting his safety and that of Rey over helping the Resistance bc he's already been through TOO MUCH with the FO and just wants the chance to be free of them & protect his friend, but then comes around to helping the Resistance after all because he realizes the FO needs to be stopped and he's got the ability to help do so.
RJ gave SO FEW FUCKS about Finn that he didn't even give him a new storyline!!
Like obviously I also find the Poe stuff bad for personal reasons -- Poe's INITIAL, right from the start characterization in TFA is, Leia sends on crucial mission that requires him to gain the trust of a reclusive old man, which he does. The second part of his characterization is, he opts to defend innocent villagers from a FO attack DESPITE that mission, but still thinking ahead to give the map to BB-8 in case he DID get captured. He's kind to Finn and makes a POINT to both object to how he was dehumanized by the FO AND immediately recognize Finn's humanity, despite Finn being a storm trooper LITERALLY five minutes ago. Poe is also shown to be a good leader that his squad mates trust and listen to, and is calm and competent in that planning meeting for the attack on Starkiller. Like he's a normal, competent, fundamentally decent guy. And then TLJ rolls around and it's like, "if I can't blow it up from my x-wing I don't give a fuck about it," with a helping of "The Galaxy's Greatest Misogynist, Poe Dameron, Doesn't Like Feminine Women". To see the cultural conversation change from, Poe Dameron Is The Internet's New Boyfriend after TFA to, Poe Dameron Is The Real Villain of TLJ was certainly uhhhhh something.
Like in general it's just so fucking convenient that the heroes of Star Wars get deconstructed and torn down and demoted compared to the main character White Girl only once those other heroes are cast as non-white. Non-white male characters just can't be competent and good people in a Space Fairy Tale, OBVIOUSLY.
Like in the OT, neither Han nor Leia (nor later, Lando) are not treated with the level of disrespect Finn and Poe are, because no matter what they CANNOT be as good as Rey at ANYTHING. They CANNOT understand her, and they CANNOT be her equal, which is all a function of, isolating Rey so the Reylo shit could happen.
Also I know this is actually more of a TROS complaint but honestly: the co-generals thing bugs me. I know everyone thinks it's cute, I know it was probably meant well but. Leia, Han, and Lando are all generals by the end of the OT. They're never called co-generals. It's never implied that they need to be co-generals because they're not capable of whatever it is their duties are ON THEIR OWN, which is the vibe I get from Finn and Poe in TROS. Like, Finn and Poe both being generals, together, in the same military group makes a lot of sense and would be great. And obviously I love teamwork and I love the idea of them working together. The "I can't do this without you" though is like -- both Poe and Finn are experienced military commanders??? Poe more than Finn TBH but Finn probably makes up for it given the intensity of his FO training. I think they very literally could do the job on their own. BUT THEY'RE NOT WHITE SO NO THEY COULDN'T, I suppose.
#tea meme#SORRY FOR THE RAMBLE#it's been a while since i got some star wars stuff off my chest#it started out so well 😭#TFA was imo a lovely film#good charismatic characters#in a familiar setting and plot line but it's like#sometimes that's okay#fairytales are also very predictable#the rhyming is the point in star wars yknow

From the beginning of the movie, they sit so close with each other, like, literally there is no space between them despite them being in space lmao
The lingering touch, they want to touch each other whenever they can and as long as possible that it doesn't look weird to other or even to themselves
The jealousy that they are not even aware that it's there, the way Poe just abruptly cutting the moment Rey have with Finn because he doesn't want to hear that bitter truth that the man he loves want to tell someone else that he is in love with her (though Finn was actually want to tell something else, lmao Poe was so paranoid, he was both scared and damn curious about what Finn want to tell Rey)
Poe is so in love with Finn and he can't hide it anymore, I feel so sorry for my boy because he doesn't has courage to tell finn yet about what he feel for him or thinks that his love will not return since he seems to think that Finn is in love with Rey but despite all of it, he is so glad to see Finn and wants him in his embrace.
Especially when Poe hugged finn the second time with Rey, Poe kissed his shoulder/neck and probably though that Finn won't realize about it and just let himself consume the moment that he has, doesn't matter for Poe who Finn loves at this point, all he knows is, that he loves finn with all his heart and he is glad that Finn is alive and it's enough for him. His love for finn is pure and he is ready to just love him without even hoping for Finn to love him back, as long as the man he love is happy, then he is more than happy himself too.
(Also can I point out about Rey's eyes everytime Poe and Finn are having their moments, it seems like she knew and amuse of it.)
Despite not getting the canon Finnpoe I think their storyline has an open ending where possibilities can still happen where they can make this relationship work, clear up a few misunderstandings, Finn come to the realization about what he feels for Poe and Rey is different kind of love. And for this all finnpoe content that we get, I think we have oscar to thank for, he keeps giving his all about his character and how it links with Finn's story.
(Also even after this post I still have finnpoe moment to share
the co-general one (Finn was the one in this scene who touch Poe's chest when he called him general, proofing more point that they just like to touch each other), the way they rush toward each other and meet in the middle. So damn adorable.
The binoculars scene (the way finn just gave the binoculars to poe it's cute, okay?)
Arguing even in the face of death with Hux scene,
The perfect team work when they fight the stormtroopers with Finn throwing the rope and Poe just understand what to do next to blow them up.
