FOOD FOR THOUGHT: DATE NIGHT EDITION.

Date night ✨ ft. Zee and my other half ❣️

We always had a rule no phones during our time together. Hence usually having little snips of the evening for our poloroid album of us , on how much we have grown since meeting each other and to more years to being with my favorite human being.

Yet we are invidually attentive with each other. Whine and dine with a relaxed enviroment. For a moment, we sit still enjoying a memory in time, where as we will have stories to tell each other when we get older, on the little adventures we had with each other in our so called “youth” lol .

We realized that we sometimes forget to take a breather.

Do you actually take breath and breathe ? Do we actually become grateful and take a pause in our lives to celebrate the highs and support each other during the lows? Moments like these with your partner should always feel like home whether you are on a date night or doing errands like food shopping which we love to do anyhow (that’s just us).

Be thankful for highs and lows and appreciate the little memories like these forever because it’s time that you will never have back.

Zumba

Pagising ko netong umaga, mga ilang minuto pa ang lumipas at napaisip ako.

Nakakamiss magjogging sa labas.

Magjogging uli tas maki-trip ng zumba.

Naalala ko kasi dati, punta kami ng punta ng iba’t ibang lugar sa manila pero pag binabalikan ko, ni hindi ko maalala kung pano pumunta sa mga napuntahan namin dati. Di ko alam kung anong bus, at ngayon di ko na din maalala kung san kami pumunta nun para magjogging habang nakikisayaw ng zumba.

ngayong nasulat ko na ‘to, masasabi kong hindi zumba o pagjojogging yung namimiss ko.

Yung buhay na simple.

Yung pagpapa kasaya sa mga oras na nasusulit ko kasama ang pamilya na hindi nahahadlangan ng kung ano pa man.

Yung pagpapa kasaya sa mga bagay bagay kasama ang ang pamilya at pagawa ng mga bagay na ikabubuti at ikakasaya ng sarili ng hindi ka nakokonsensya.

Haba na rin pala ng landas na nilakaran ko.

Sa sobrang haba, at ang iba’y nakaligtaan na.

Salamat sa mga alaala.

I had a great day today! I ran some errands for the requirements I need for my new job and had a little time with myself at Starbucks. I enjoy going out by myself and I enjoy driving it's kind of therapeutic for me. 😊

Trip to Quiapo

Its been a while since i bought this book for a writing class in college but never opened it. Started to read it again and of course, Ricky Lee has inspired me again to go back to my writing roots.

His analogy to the three writing concepts is still noteworthy, let me share it to you...

"May tatlong manunulat, lahat gustong pumunta sa Quiapo.

Ang unang manunulat, pag-aaralan niya ang daang ginamit ng mga naunang manunulat, at ito ang susundin niya. Makakarating siya sa Quiapo.

Pero ang ikalawang manunulat, may pagkakalog yata, umikot muna sa mga ilog at bundok at gubat, umiwas sa kombensyonal na daan, nakipagtsismisan pa sa kalye. Pinagtawanan natin siya dahil madalas natatawa tayo sa mga nalilihis, tama man sila o hindi.

Hanggang sa makarating siya sa Quiapo.

Mas mahusay siyang manunulat kaysa sa una dahil nakadiskubre siya ng bagong daan papuntang Quiapo. Hindi magtagal marami pang susunod sa kanya. Papatag ang landas na ginawa niya at magiging kasimbilis na rin ng unang daan.

Pero ang ikatlong manunulat, hindi rin siya sumunod sa rules. Aba, hindi lang kalog, baliw pa yata! Umikot-ikot din siya sa mga ilog at bundok at palengke at simbahan. Nagka-wala-wala pa! Muntik pang maholdap!

Pinagtawanan din natin siya. Diniscourage. Hanggang sa makarating siya sa isang lugar. Hindi ito ang Quiapo kanina. Pero mapapaniwala niya tayo na ito ay Quiapo rin.

Siya ang pinakamahusay sa tatlong manunulat. Dahil may magic sa ginawa niya. Dahil ang mundo ng literatura, sining, at pelikula, pati na ang buhay natin, ay nagiging napakayaman at makahulugan dahil marami ang Quiapo. "

Has anyone felt like bullying tends to happen in a workplace, when it shouldn’t be? -Long Post

Today I have finally had it with a lady who has been having me as her target for multiple occasions since I have started at my new job, hence only being there for 3 months and 25 days in short.

It went from, a “Hi” to being the biggest two faced person ever.

I made my first report to my manager, hoping it would help and it did at first letting her know the two occasions that it did happen around august 6 and 7, two days back to back. For sakes, her name is Lisa.

This is what i wrote my manager: wrote wrong year by accident.

Then the following email this month:

Boss brought it up to me and talked to me and stated that she shouldn’t be doing any of that. And was to speak with Linda, and if it continues she will have to bring it up to HR.

I made an appointment with HR, because I was so tired of Linda making me feel like I am a minority and to say she thinks she is the boss when no one is around.

HR made a decision that there is nothing to investigate because there isnt anything there and I quote, “ Are you sure its not you that has the problem?”.

This is the first time in my life I have ever felt so discriminated at work because I came and trusted Hr and she kept cutting me off when I was trying to explain to her and defending Lunda saying she isnt doing anything by the policy that is offensive. Words hurt if anyone hasn’t noticed. Actions are even worse. You should always be kind or try to because you don’t know what the other person is going through.

I almost quit that day to be honest because i thought the company that I worked for is better than that, but in reality they are money hungry. I will stay for a couple of months to earn my keep and grow in the industry that I am at right now, but for me to trust anyone even HR-dint even bother-they wont listen to you.

I hope i see better days coming, any advice in what I should do next?

WHEN DOES MONTHSARIES STARTED FEELING LIKE A NORMAL DAY?

It is indeed a normal day for everyone but it is a special day for every couples. It's a monthly celebration of love although not everyone chose to celebrate monthsaries anymore as they prefer celebrating anniversaries instead. But when does monthsaries started feeling like a normal day? After a couple of months? after a year? Is it normal and just a part of maturity of the relationship where you already both know that you have each other even without making a big deal about your monthsary because you have more important things to do. The trust is already there and both of you believed that a one-day will not define your love for each other. On the other side of the coin, other couple makes sure to find time for this special day to celebrate their love, some couple celebrates it just like the first time because for them you shouldnt stop making each other feel loved even if youve been together for many years.

I already forgot when mine started feeling like its just another normal day. We never celebrated monthsaries like going out or exchanging gifts because of our LDR situation but we never fail to greet each other with long cheesy messages. Months passed, years passed, slowly the long messages became redundant and felt scripted, we often forget about it if its not because of the monthly reminder on his phone and memories/archives on my social media that would remind us of this special day. Today is our day, I forgot about it and just realized it after scrolling on my facebook memories, I waited for him to greet me to see if he remembers it and yes.. he also forgot about it. I was upset but guilty because I knew to myself that I also forgot it too.

Is this still healthy? I dont wanna make a fuss about it that much because I tend to forget about it a lot too but I know to myself that I love him and I dont want anybody else anymore.. In fact, I forgot often than him but I get upset for this one time he forgot about it. What a bitch!

To everyone, please dont stop making your partner feel loved everyday, even if its not your monthsary, even if its not your anniversary, even if its just another gloomy day.

Pinipili ko ang aking sarili

Pinipili kita pero pinipili mo sya Masakit oo. Tanga o cge. Pero tandaan mo ito. Sa aking pagbangon at sa aking paglisan, Hinding hindi mo na ako makikitang luhaan O nasasaktan Pagdating nga raw na yun, saka mo mapapagtanto Kung sino ang taong pinili mong isuko Saka mo maiisip na sana pala sya ang pinili mo Saka mo masasabi sa sarili mo na mahalaga ako sayo. Sa oras na mangyare yun, patawad. Patawad dahil hindi na ako yung taong handang masaktan at magsakripisyo  Para sa taong hindi naging sigurado sa akin. Patawad dahil sa araw na yun, mas pinipili ko na ang aking sarili. Mahal kita, hindi yun mababago Pero hindi ko naisip na sa pagmamahal palang ito Makakalimutan ko ang sarili ko. Kaya pinipili ko nang manahimik Mag isa Mag isip Magbago Magmahal Pinipili ko nang Piliin at mahalin ang sarili ko. Kaysa maniwala na baka babalik ka pa at pipiliin ako. Salamat sa lahat.
