@heropartnerweek 2025 day 3 - recovery

dialga revived neptune using the last minutes before he disappears. because of this, he's sustaining the injuries from the fight when he reunites with marmalade.

#FUCK IT IM POSTING IT EARLY. I WAS EXCITED TO WORK ON THIS ONE #this is using my personal headcanon of how hero is revived by piecing together moments in time since dialga controls time #this is partly inspired by the time rewinding spell in witch hat atelier (iykyk). the fact its never really explained makes it #fun to think of theories. and its a little poetic i think? using someones last moments from your memory to bring them back #i also want to draw this but moments after neptune and marmalade reunite he passes out in her arms from exhaustion #he has no awareness of that blip in time when he was gone. since he simply wasnt existent for that span of time #marmalade refuses to leave his side and sleeps next to him. when shes sent out of the room to eat or do chores another guild member #always volunteers to keep an eye on him and let her know when he wakes up <- hes unconscious for like a week #when he does wake up its when shes buying supplies at the market and runs all the way back and its very sweet #my art #myart #my ocs #oc #pokemon mystery dungeon #pmd #pmd team #team satellite #heropartnerweek #heropartnerweek2025

so on the subject of the "Crowley is secretly Revaan/Laverne/Levin/please Twst give us his name" theory, I think my feelings are best summed up as "I don't really buy it, but it's funny". like, in all seriousness, I'm not opposed to it; I have enjoyed the writing in Twst so far and I'm willing to trust that whatever happens will, you know, make sense and not be terrible. but I'm just not really convinced by the current evidence! maybe that'll change once we learn more, we'll see!

with that said, may I propose a few alternate theories about the possible Crowley/Revaan connection:

in the flesh was such a unique show that delivered every single emotional punch it threw AND with the most complex beautiful characters and a canon gay main character who finds love and a willingness to live after so much pain. holding on to little bits of joy amongst poignant inherently tragic circumstances. and yes it's about zombies reintegrating into society. which sounds wacky but. but it was deeply profound. it was about learning to love being alive, despite it all. recognizing the love that exists around you in all its forms, in unexpected places. making the choice to try, to care, to understand, to reach out your hand, despite every odd against you. my god i miss it so much. we moved on too fast and it deserved so many more seasons

An email. A brief text. Have Foggy excitedly brag to Matt and Karen that he has #something to show them tomorrow morning that is going to blow their minds #But no. They just expected that people would hang in there waiting for a point.#I have always loved the mystery solving aspect of this show and so I personally felt very disconnected with everything #for most of this season. So to just bring this up in the last 2 episodes feels a bit late.#But I do love them getting their sleuth on together. And I guess it makes sense if things changed now because Karen's back.#Like her departure paused everything and her arrival back is just as everything hits a new gear.#Matt wasn't meant to work this all out on his own.#I still think it wasn't worth Foggy's life but it's an interesting plot piece.#And I like Matt hyping Karen up at the beginning. Like no duh she's good at finding things - she was a reporter.#Matt should really invest in a coat so he isn't wandering around dressed like Daredevil in places that likely have cameras.#I'd say he could have borrowed one from Frank but... now I'm picturing that conversation and that seems a little farfetched.#Frank has like two outfits I doubt he has a coat he can lend out.#(The new gif limits are crazy FYI. I haven't done much giffing in years so it's so weird not trying to keep everything to less than 3MBs.)

So I think I might’ve actually posted those first two comic pieces already but actually who cares I’ve got newish Willy/Marlon (lovingly ship named SwordFish by my friend Sunny everyone say THANK YOU SUNNY!) content to share with my people and so the two pages are getting lumped in!

there is something so so important to me about the fact that throughout the games, mordecai is presented clearly as someone who cares deeply about the people around him. btw.

like obvs there's his birds, but it's the people that gets me. he's the only bl1 vh who remains close with his group throughout the games. when lil and brick were taken and in hiding, he was roland's right hand for years. after roland's death, he was there to comfort lilith and grieve him with her. hes the one that gives you the mission in bl2 to find the tapes of jack abusing angel, and he's fucking pissed about it. he takes an active role in raising tina, and from the dialogue in fight for sanctuary, it seems like he is the only thing by that point keeping lil and brick in contact with each other. he's also the one encouraging brick to branch out, to get him interests and hobbies outside of fighting as we see in fight for sanctuary (even if brick's gardening still involved violence, lol).

and while we don't get to see their dynamics really play out in the games, from the way moxxi talks about mordecai its very obvious that he loved her deeply even though they were only together for a short time and their relationship ended messily. nevermind the fact that in bl3 mordecai takes up training grace and raising her up to be a vault hunter, and her death hits him hard. we get an entire funeral mission for grace, a character we've never been introduced to, just for mordecai.

idk!!! it's just really interesting to me that as the character who is usually seen as the solitary sort of loner/scout, he actually has such deep connections to the people around him. such a guy

Favourite pre-timeskip Sanji moments

These are a few of my favourite pre ts sanji moments

(1) Baratie arc when sanji served fresh food for don krieg despite everyone telling him that krieg was notorious for betraying people. Sanji still served the food because of his value of "feeding the hungry no matter what"

(2) Sweet sanji preparing bentos for Luffy vivi and a special drink for Vivi's duck karoo so they can go explore the little garden island. Also packing and tying the lunches for the kids (luffy and karoo) by himself

(3) water 7 Sanji following his principle of "never waste food" while fighting CP7's ramen guy wanze (who had a full ramen armour and sanji cut his armour up and served the ramens all in different plates around the kitchen)

(4) thriller bark Sanji holding an unconscious nami up so she won't get injured while he takes all the hits from Absalom He's not just a simp, he genuinely cares for nami

(5) water 7 Sanji smoking a cigarette while spying and finding out sensitive government information

(6) Post enies lobby filler sanji crying throwing up stressing over finding out the right spices of a fried rice. He is a true chef at heart and has so much love for his craft

(7) post skypiea filler G-8 arc sanji when someone says he is better than all of the navy chefs and sanji cutely offers to give his recipes to them. He is so cute kind and humble

(8) sabaody sanji kicking the Celestial dragon knowing what'll happen and not giving a fuck anyway

(9) skypiea sanji being all big smiles and happy while showing conis the bento he has arranged for her and telling them how arranging food is an art (look at the little winged angel he put there as a representation for conis who has wings)

(10) Sanji leaving a message for nami in water 7, even in the dire situation they were in (usopp left, robin was abducted, they were all accused of murder) sanji being his usual cute loser self
