One of the main reasons I believe that at least the top 4 ranking is a genuinely accurate reflection of overall strength (leaving all other potential arguments aside for a moment) is that imo SIU really tipped his hand with the in-universe rather flimsy reasons for making Phantaminum number one over Enryu if you compare their respective achievements and that the ranking administration office is not aware about the potential Axis thing. Enryu violated one of the highest principles of the Tower and helped devastate an entire floor, Phantaminum broke into Zahard's palace and killed some of his High Rankers (not that I don't gladly accept the indirect Zahard hype this is though....).

I don’t think any of us realize just how fucking funny what Phantaminum did is. Imagine you’re the king of some land and some crackhead breaks into your castle, kills all your soldiers, maybe does a Fortnite dance over their corpses and then peaces out never to be seen again.

So I've been thinking a lot about Phantaminum being an Axis... since they can rewrite the laws of the world do you think Phantaminum is the reason that Bam / Jyu Viole Grace is alive?

A summary of all the floors we have climbed so far

The First Floor is where irregulars are tested by Headon. There are no Test Administrators or Rulers and the only resident is Headon. Under normal circunstances no one can get to this floor, since regulars start their climb on the Second Floor.

After the arrival of irregulars like Phantaminum and Urek Mazino, Zahard’s Empire felt insecure and places a system on the Second Floor to sort out dangerous individuals. Evankhell killed the previous ruler and tool ownership of the floor. This is where regulars start climbing.

The 20th Floor, also known as “the needle hole to heaven” is where regulars are given permission to reside within the middle area, while before they slept in dormitories in the Inner Tower. It is also noted a high increase in the difficulty of the tests. Many Regulars go bankrupt paying testing fees needed to retake the test.

The 21st Floor, aka “White Cichlid” is owned by the Yeon Family, there is a vast ocean located near the borderline of Inner Tower and its inhabitants reside in large a floating structure. Cichlid is the sobriquet of Yeon Hana, it is the name of a fish that is known for being aggressive if messed with.

In the 25th Floor all of the buildings float in the sky above the clouds forming a sea-like environment where marine Shinheuhs such as the Flying Whale live.

why the tower was doomed from the start

To start with basic information: ToG is part of the Talse User Story universe, an universe SIU build under the premise that "the world comprises of several tales as its centre, and these tales persist as unchangeable records”

Hence, the TUS universe consists of several stories. ToG is currently the only story that is published, as SIU took his previous webtoons set in the TUS universe from the internet. People said he did so to prevent spoilers for ToG. Inside the TUS universe, the ones controlling their own stories as authors are called Axis Users. They are gods, in charge of their stories as they 'write' them. Phantaminum is an Axis. Apparently, they are not rare outside the tower.

So why do the residents of the tower do not know about Axes, thinking Enryu could defeat Phantaminum while in reality, an Axis User always wins? Because the purpose of the tower /is/ to create a new Axis User. An Axis might have created the tower for the first one to reach the top to become an Axis. It's called Tower of GOD after all. Another fact: Axes can't be born, they have their awakening, for instance after something very crucial/emotional happened to them.

Everything awaits you at the top because the one to reach it gains control over their 'story', can decide the future. It's very likely for Bam to become an Axis User (a literal irregular god). Speaking of Irregulars, they are the key. Because they are the only ones who can climb the tower since only they can take the Guardian's test on each floor and clear the floors that way. Regulars are kinda unnecessary since they can only climb thanks to Jahad.

IF the tower's purpose is to create an Axis User, it'll be useless after that goal is achieved. The story ends. It might dissolve, crumble down, whatever - it just won't exist anymore. Regulars were never meant to exist in the first place.

Jahad f*cked with the Axis User's goal, and guessing the tower is Phantaminum's story, it explains why he went after Jahad. Remember how Phantaminum didn't harm Yuri? Because she's essential to his story. Without her, Bam wouldn't have made it into the tower.

WHY did Jahad f*ck with the tower's purpose? Because he knew what'll happen once his group reaches the top, the 100th floor's Guardian told him. He didn't want that to happen and thus build a kingdom that should have brought piece and immortality. What he didn't take into consideration: Arlene and V. They wanted to continue climbing. Arlene wanted a vaster night sky and greater heights. A war started and ended with the death of Arlene and V's child.

Maybe Jahad even saw Bam reaching the top and awakening as an Axis User and killed him because of that. So it could be possible that Jahad wanted to protect the tower and his friends with his decision to stop climbing.

Headon also plays an interesting part. I assume he's there to make sure that one day, someone reaches the top and fulfills the tower's purpose. Jahad refused to do that. That's why Headon has connections to FUG (their goals are parallel to each other) and made a deal with Rachel leading to Bam ending up in FUG. The tower's purpose NEEDS to be fulfilled - the whole system and everything else is so f*cked up because it was never meant to exist. The tower opened its doors for Bam because of that.

One day, Bam will have to choose between his destiny and everything and everyone he cares about, though I think he won't know until Jahad will tell him that as he dies, leaving Bam with the decision.

25th Baam: First time at a party, everyone expected him to be a lightweight but this boy can drink, all the girls lowkey (or highkey) want him, clueless, gets along with pretty much everyone except the one person he really wants

Anaak Zahard: Looks a lot younger than she actually is, very competitive at party games and easily better at them than everyone except Androssi

Androssi Zahard: Sober arguments with Anaak, drunk arguments with Anaak, gets a ton of male attention but is only interested in Baam

Evan Edrok: Carries Yuri home

Ha Yuri Zahard: Expected to be a heavy weight, but passes out after one sip

Hatz: Trains at the party, gets a lot of female attention but also completely oblivious, competitive beer pong with Anaak 

Hwa Ryun: The quiet bartender everyone spills their secrets to, has enough information to ruin lives by the time the night ends

Khun Aguero Agnis: Really isn’t that interested in the party but showed up for Baam, spends the whole night subtly steering Baam away from Rachel

Laure: Got dragged along to the party and immediately finds a quiet place to sleep, couples looking for an isolated place to hook up are very disappointed to find him asleep in the seemingly deserted parent’s bedroom 

Lero-ro: Damage control, either trying to subtly fix Hansung’s drinks before they get served or pulling Quant out of fights depending on whether he’s working on the night, actually bonds with a few people at the party

Parakewl: Talks to everyone, gets ignored, breaks a table and gets thrown out, was he even invited?

Quant: Drinks too much too fast, picks fights, passes out within the first 30 minutes

Rachel: Wasn’t actually invited but found a way in, spends the whole night avoiding Baam

Rak: COMPETITIVE, initiates all the arm wrestling contests, accepts every challenge for every party game, regrets talking down to Hansung when he gets served with the most disgusting drink but can’t back out of drinking it

Serena Rinnen: Actual life of the party, teaches everyone party games, this girl can drink, has a heart-to-heart with Shibisu, possibly leaves the party with Shibisu

Shibisu: Spends half his time teaching party games and the other half looking out for Anaak and Hatz, steps in to try to stop a fight and accidentally gets punched in the face

Yu Hansung: The other bartender, can make incredible drinks but prefers to troll people by serving terrible to mediocre concoctions, espresso martinis are the best you’ve ever tasted though

Elpathion: Brings the party lights

Enryu: Two people swear they caught a glimpse of Enryu, but everyone else is like ‘Enryu who?’, second biggest mystery after Phantaminum

Kallavan: Drinks for almost the entire night with zero change in facial expression or demeanour, people almost start to wonder if he’s simply immune to alcohol but then he drops sideways and passes out, wakes up with one hell of a hangover

Khun Eduan: Drinks wine all night, has slept with every girl at the party, everyone expects him to be slapped by at least 5 women but he somehow smoothes everything over, gets all the action Urek cries even more

Phantaminum: No response, not even a ‘read’, does this guy even exist? 

Po Bidau Gustang: Leaves your party invite on read, somehow still knows all the drama that happened and judges everyone silently

Prince: Brags the whole way to the party, has one drink, passes out

Urek Mazino: Tries to impress Garam with party games (he’s actually really good), the guys love him, hits on every girl but gets rejected every time, gets drunk and cries

White: Drinking contest with Kallavan, brags the entire time but passes out seconds before Kallavan, “two years ago there would have been zero competition”

Yeon Yihwa: Lowkey following Baam around but trying to be subtle about it, one of the first to throw up, accidentally(?) starts a fire later in the night that signals the end of the party

Zahard: Doesn’t get invited, acts like he couldn’t care less, actually cares a lot

AINT NO FUCKING WAY THE GAME JUST DROPS THIS LORE BOMB

So utter shock aside, let’s actually analyze this. There’s a brother and sister god (or at least ones with god like power) and each make a species of humans. The son created smaller but more tenacious humans while the sister made bigger, stronger, but pacifistic humans. When the smaller ones complained, the son gave them gods’ powers and then they built a structure for themselves to live in. The daughter became mad and gave her humans a book of prophecies and told them to punish the smaller humans who thought they could act like gods.

So obviously, the smaller humans are the Tower Residents and the powers given to them is the ability to control Shinsu. The people outside are the Irregulars, who occasionally come into the tower and wreak havoc.

The female god may be the God on the Outside and the book of prophecies may hold the tale of Bam (and possibly Icarus.) Enryu may be one of her loyal followers and entered the Tower to enforce the prophecy she wrote.

As for the son, I think it might be Phantaminum. We know from SIU’s blogposts that Axis’s are basically gods, having the power of storytelling, and that Phantaminum is the Axis in control of the Tower’s world. Maybe his storming of Jahad’s palace was to strike back against his sister’s creations who looked to punish his own.

To be honest, my head is spinning because of this sudden out of nowhere lore drop, and since this game was made with SIU’s involvement, it might be 100% true. I’d love to hear what you guys have to say cause this is absolutely crazy to me
