Plot: A bullet-ridden crime drama centered around a jewel heist.

Peter Lorre played Klotz, a trigger-happy thug.

Klotz was a small and underwritten role, and Peter wasn't happy with it. So, naturally, he made his character a frustrated sex maniac. :D

“Und du bist dir sicher, dass du das kannst? Dass es wirklich funktioniert, jemandem gesittet auf die Fresse zu hauen?”  Skinnys eine Augenbraue wandert nach oben und da ist dieses Funkeln in seinen blassen Augen. Und da liegt so viel mehr in diesem Blick.  Cotta meint, ein gespieltes Misstrauen zu erkennen, das Skinny -vielleicht sogar unwillkürlich- aufgelegt hat, um sich vor einer etwaigen Enttäuschung zu wappnen.  Da ist auch diese implizierte Frage, die er nicht gestellt hat, aber Cotta hat sie trotzdem herausgehört: Denkst du, dass es bei mir funktioniert? Aber da ist auch dieser beißende Unterton der Provokation in seiner Stimme, die die Neugier, vielleicht schon Begierde, in Skinny widerspiegelt, mit der er dann doch um jeden Preis herausfinden will, ob Cotta es kann. Ihm gesittet auf die Fresse zu hauen. Oder ihn außerdem ein bisschen hinzuhalten, ihn betteln zu lassen und so zu verwöhnen, wie es noch nie jemand mit ihm getan hat, wie Cotta sich schmunzelnd erlaubt, in seinen Gedanken hinzuzufügen.

Justus dressing slutty for Skinny

Als Justus ankam, stand Skinny am Fenster und rauchte. Blondierte Strähnen hingen ihm ins Gesicht. Sofort wollte Justus sie ihm aus der Stirn streichen, die grauen Pfützen darunter betrachten. Aber da blickte Skinny auch schon auf, fuhr sich mit einer beiläufigen Bewegung in die Haare und brachte die Strähnen zurück an ihren Platz. Fast hätte Justus einen Schmollmund gemacht. "Na, sieh mal einer an..." Skinny drückte die selbstgedrehte Kippe in dem Aschenbecher auf dem Fensterbrett aus.  "Da hat wohl jemand wieder Sehnsucht nach mir gehabt, hm?" Augenscheinlich amüsiert von dieser Tatsache, hob er eine Augenbraue und kam in gemächlichen Schritten auf Justus zu. Er beäugte ihn lächelnd und Justus wurde ganz warm davon. "Hübsch siehst du aus.", kommentierte er und Justus wurde noch wärmer. In dem Outfit, in dem er hier gerade vor Skinny stand, würde er sich normalerweise nicht mal vors Haus trauen. Er steckte nämlich in einem viel zu  kurzen Röckchen, das Skinny ihm besorgt hatte und obenrum trug er nichts als ein fadenscheiniges kurzes, weißes Top. Aber netterweise hatte ihn Peter in seinem MG gefahren, der wie Bob über sie beide Bescheid wusste, seit das zwischen ihm und Skinny wohl sowas wie eine Beziehung war. 

needy desperate Just x Cotta

dazu gibt es bisher nur die grobe Idee, dass Justus eines schönen Nachmittags in Cottas Büro kommt und augenblicklich vergisst, was er dort überhaupt wollte, als er den Inspector sieht. Cotta steht nämlich nicht in einem seiner normalen Arbeitsanzüge, sondern einem richtig schicken, eleganten am Fenster (hab da die Vorstellung, dass er gerade von einem Begräbnis kommt). aber seine grau melierten Harre sehen ein wenig wirr aus. und dann ist da noch die Brille in seiner großen, starken Hand, die er immer dann abnimmt, um nachzudenken. Cotta steht also gerade ein bisschen unter Strom und Justus ist schon seit einer Weile ein bisschen desperate für ihn und dann kommt eines zum anderen...

Buster Keaton (The General, The Navigator, Sherlock Jr.)—For me Buster’s hotness comes not just from his physical beauty but in the constant surprise and contradictions of the man, he’s simultaneously delicate/rough, feminine/masculine, confident/vulnerable, 5foot5 pretty face with an unexpectedly deep voice, at first glance you think oh he’s a cute little thing and then he takes his top off and it’s Superman abs underneath. He was intensely shy in social situations but had no hesitation in jumping off the top of a building. He famously never smiled on screen* but he exudes warmth and joy and laughter. He created some of the most beautiful, intelligent movies ever made but refused to acknowledge his own genius and talent as an artist, instead maintaining that all he wanted to do was make people laugh. If he was here in reality competing in this poll he would give it 100% but he would not be at all bothered if he didn’t win. And that’s why he’s the hottest vintage man. A vote for Buster is a vote for all that is good and decent in the world 💕 (*he did smile on camera occasionally despite his own assertions to the contrary 😄)
