Completely out of context but just by seeing the word "blunder," I am reminded of Peter Lorre's line at the end of this most excellent scene here:

(The watchfulness, the quiet menace, the movements, the little raising up on his heels, the way he turns, the way you know he'll strike as the scene fades out--)

The way the light is on his face, his eyes - ! The touch of gray they put in his hair - the quirk of his eyebrows matching the quirk of his bowtie.
