Hidden Charges in Personal Loans You Should Be Aware Of
A personal loan is a convenient financial tool that helps borrowers manage various expenses, from medical emergencies to home renovations. However, while lenders advertise attractive interest rates, there are often hidden charges in personal loans that can increase the overall cost. Being aware of these charges can help you make informed decisions and avoid unnecessary financial burdens.
1. Processing Fees
One of the most common charges in personal loans is the processing fee. Lenders deduct this amount before disbursing the loan, and it typically ranges between 1% and 3% of the loan amount. While some banks and NBFCs offer zero processing fee loans during promotional campaigns, most lenders charge this fee as a standard cost.
How to Avoid It:
Compare lenders to find lower processing fee options.
Check for seasonal offers where processing fees might be waived.
Negotiate with the lender if you have a strong credit score.
2. Prepayment and Foreclosure Charges
Many borrowers aim to repay their personal loan early to reduce interest costs. However, banks and NBFCs often charge prepayment and foreclosure fees, which can be 2% to 5% of the outstanding loan amount.
How to Avoid It:
Opt for lenders that allow zero prepayment or foreclosure charges.
Read the loan agreement carefully before signing.
Choose a shorter tenure to reduce interest costs without prepayment.
3. Late Payment Fees
Missing an EMI due date can lead to late payment penalties, which are typically a fixed amount or a percentage of the EMI. These charges can significantly increase your debt burden.
How to Avoid It:
Set up auto-debit for EMI payments.
Maintain sufficient balance in your account.
Use reminders to pay EMIs on time.
4. Loan Cancellation Charges
If you change your mind after taking a personal loan, you may have to pay cancellation fees. Some lenders allow cancellation within a short window, but they might still charge a percentage of the loan amount.
How to Avoid It:
Evaluate your need before applying for a loan.
Read the lender’s cancellation policy before proceeding.
5. Loan Rescheduling Fees
If you face financial difficulties and request a loan rescheduling or restructuring, lenders might charge a fee ranging from INR 1,000 to INR 5,000. This fee compensates lenders for administrative costs.
How to Avoid It:
Plan your loan tenure wisely to avoid rescheduling.
Improve financial discipline to ensure timely repayments.
6. Stamp Duty and Documentation Charges
Some lenders impose stamp duty and documentation fees for legal formalities. These charges vary based on the loan amount and state regulations.
How to Avoid It:
Ask for a clear breakdown of charges before signing the agreement.
Compare lenders to find those with minimal documentation fees.
7. GST on Loan Charges
Goods and Services Tax (GST) is applicable on processing fees, prepayment charges, and foreclosure fees. This means the actual cost of these charges is higher than what’s initially quoted.
How to Avoid It:
Factor in GST while calculating loan expenses.
Look for lenders offering all-inclusive pricing.
8. Verification and Legal Fees
Banks and NBFCs may charge for verifying documents, performing background checks, or conducting legal assessments. These fees are not always disclosed upfront.
How to Avoid It:
Ask for a detailed fee structure before finalizing the loan.
Compare different lenders to choose the most transparent option.
9. Balance Transfer Charges
Many borrowers transfer their personal loan to another lender for lower interest rates. However, lenders charge a balance transfer fee, which is typically 1% to 3% of the outstanding loan amount.
How to Avoid It:
Ensure that the savings from lower interest outweigh the balance transfer charges.
Look for lenders offering zero balance transfer fees.
10. Insurance Premiums
Some lenders bundle loan protection insurance with personal loans, which increases the overall loan cost. While insurance is beneficial, it should be optional and not forcefully included.
How to Avoid It:
Ask whether loan insurance is mandatory or optional.
Compare the cost of insurance separately before agreeing to it.
Choosing the Right Personal Loan
Before finalizing a personal loan, it’s essential to compare options from various lenders. Here are some top options you can consider:
IDFC First Bank Personal Loan
Bajaj Finserv Personal Loan
Tata Capital Personal Loan
Axis Finance Personal Loan
Each of these lenders offers different benefits, processing fees, and repayment options. By carefully comparing them, you can avoid hidden charges and choose a loan that suits your financial needs.
Conclusion
Understanding the hidden charges in personal loans can save you from unexpected costs and financial stress. Before applying for a personal loan, always read the fine print, ask for a detailed fee structure, and compare multiple lenders. This will ensure you get the best loan deal without unnecessary expenses.

Accountant of Theed
Read on AO3
After all is said and done, someone needs to balance these books, and nobody actually told the accounting department how they paid for this new hyperdrive. Mimi really hopes it's not a loan from the Hutts.
Disclaimer: I am not an accountant, but I work in an adjacent field (and have been considering getting a certification, but that's neither here nor there). While I did take some courses on it, I asked an Accounting Person to look over the excel sheet before I went forward with the rest of the fic to make sure it's internally consistent. Thank you to @gnomer-denois for confirming my balance on these works!
The reconciliation sheet does NOT follow contemporary guidelines in terms of format etc, but that is because it is:
In space! Standard practice differs from Modern United States or what have you.
Not the primary balance sheet, just the simplified version made to show to Queen Amidala.
If you'd prefer to view the Excel sheet in a more easily navigable form, there is a google drive link available. This is also your best option if using a screen reader.
-----------------------------------------
Theed is safe. They are rebuilding. There is even financial support, aid, from the Republic.
It comes with strings attached. Oversight. Auditors.
Wouldn’t want Naboo to misuse funding after that nasty mistake with the Trade Federation, right? Sure, Naboo wasn’t the one at fault, but one can never be too careful...
Mimi, as an accountant for the government of Naboo, does not in fact want to commit fraud, or enable corruption, but the rolling audits do feel a little like the Republic is punishing them for getting invaded.
“Hey, boss?”
That tone. Mimi does not like that tone. “Please tell me it’s not another unauthorized purchase with a missing receipt. Which account did they pull from this time?”
“Um... we don’t know?”
Mimi gives them a moment. No elaboration is given.
“You don’t know?”
“We don’t know,” the younger employee repeats.
“What do you mean?” Mimi asks. “People charge things to accounts or cards. They forget to submit receipts. We hunt them down for receipts, and make sure nobody is skimming off the top. That’s how it goes. Unless this is a purchase on a personal and we need to reimburse—”
“Um, maybe?”
“In which—what? That’s just... okay. There’s a process for reimbursements. You aren’t following it, which means... what? What do you mean, you don’t know? Did they use cash, or pull from an account?”
The younger employee looks down at their datapad. Looks back up at her. Looks baffled and a little scared. “Um, it’s... we still don’t have a receipt, but we also don’t know where the money for it came from? But nobody’s put in a reimbursement request and I can’t imagine anyone on the mission had those funds on them, not even the Queen herself.”
“The money for what?”
“Um. It sort of just... showed up?”
“So, it’s some kind of gift?” Mimi presses.
“Too big,” the younger mumbles, refusing to meet her eyes. “It would have to be disclosed.”
“I am giving you five seconds—”
“It’s a hyperdrive!” they yelp.
“...Explain.”
“One of the mechanics was looking over the Royal Cruiser, and found that there was unrecorded repair work to the hyperdrive. The ship took enough damage during the escape that he wasn’t surprised, but then he noticed that it was from an earlier run of the part, and when he checked, the serial number was completely wrong. The hyperdrive was completely replaced.”
Mimi closes her eyes and takes a breath. “The mechanic doesn’t know?”
“He said there’s nothing in the records that matches it at all, and it’s a big enough part that there’s no way it would just slip through the cracks, not when it’s that expensive and going on the Royal Cruiser.”
“So,” Mimi says, “we have a part worth almost as much as the rest of the cruiser combined, that just... came out of nowhere, and nobody claiming for reimbursement.”
“Yes, ma’am. That’s what it looks like.”
Mimi has no interest in fraud.
“Find out who was piloting when Queen Amidala escaped, and see if they have any answers,” Mimi tells them. “If we can keep it to just the hangar staff without drawing in the Royal Retinue, it’ll be easier on all of us.”
“Here’s hoping, ma’am.”

"I'll be charging ten dollars to punch him in the face, upon your generous request," murmured a low voice tantalizingly close to your ear.
You scoffed, "The things I want to do to Davies go far beyond a modest punch to the face. Those things could get me in jail."
One arm across your waist and the other's elbow propped upon your hand, you turned to face the owner of the honeyed voice that just offered you an extremely lucrative deal moments. Swirling around the remaining wine in your wine glass, you studied Kim Seungmin as he studied you.
"In that case," Seungmin sighed, "You'll have to pay my legal consultancy fees which, I'm afraid is far higher."
A laugh bubbled from your lips as Seungmin smirked at your rage. Watching one of the many people you were currently pitted against for a promotion kissing up to your boss made anger blossom within you. Then again, you weren't exactly known for being the most level-headed lawyer employed at the Prescott, Park and Daley Legal Firm.
But you, along with Seungmin, were known for being the best.
You offered Seungmin eyes that reflected betrayal. "I thought you would bail me out for free. I thought we were friends," you chastised.
"We most definitely are not friends, darling," said Seungmin smugly.
A smirk was forming on his lips and an eyebrow was ticked up. You felt yourself being stripped bare under his piercing gaze and flirtatious smile. Oh how he loved torturing you.
You caught your lip between your teeth to drink him in, deciding to conveniently ignore the fact that your teeth were currently in the process of being stained by your dark red lipstick. Seungmin's hair was styled to perfection, his skin was glowing and his eyes stayed on you as if you were a person he wished to learn every fold of. His three-piece suit was tailored to perfection and hugged his body perfectly.
You looked away and hoped he attributed your flushed face to the wine you were drinking. He was right though. You and Seungmin were not friends, not in the conventional sense. It was more of a situation where being paired up so much over the seven years that you spent at the firm caused to the two of you to become comfortable in each other's presence.
Both you having graduated top of your class from law school (you went to Harvard Law while Seungmin opted for Princeton), you both joined the law firm at the same time, full of dreams and aspirations. At first, you both considered one another as rivals. Constantly being compared truly made you inhibit a sort of begrudging sense of dislike towards him.
However, working your first together, truly made you realize how he was actually a very caring person. Seungmin constantly knew what to say to you without even saying anything. He brought you food and made you ramen after he found out your extreme affection towards the Korean delicacy.
You and Seungmin, however, came from strikingly different backgrounds. Seungmin lived comfortably and had a wealthy upbringing, which caused people to often underestimate his hard work. You went to school on an eighty percent scholarship but still worked three jobs to pay of your student loan, causing people to often very offensively doubt your etiquette.
You heard the rumors about rich kid Seungmin during your initial weeks at the firm. Allegedly (you are a lawyer, of course you use the word allegedly more than any other word over), he lived in a high rise apartment with so many floors that a helicopter, a fucking helicopter, crashed into the side of it.
You took extreme pride in being the only one to know that this was, in fact, true, as confirmed by the man himself.
Forcing your eyes to go back to Seungmin, your gaze sat on the horrendous lump which he called his 'tie'.
"It's on wrong," you remarked, motioning towards Seungmin's tie. He gave you shrug. "Fix it for me?"
You set down your now empty glass on the sleek granite table and the private restaurant lounge your colleagues and high playing clients were currently in. The low jazz music and soft lighting gave the entire room an ambience of romance. This was only heightened by Seungmin's sudden desire to covertly flirt with you.
Reaching around his neck to undo his tie, you never broke eye contact with him. You could feel his gaze start from your eyes and trail all the way down to your black stilettoes. He had a faint smile on his face. So he likes what he sees?
Finishing with a scoff, you send him away with a pat on his arm in a futile attempt to diffuse the tiny fireworks that were popping all over your body. Seungmin disappeared into the crowd to socialize, leaving you his scent surrounding your very being.
Grabbing another drink (a mojito), you walked over to the table where Seungmin's paralegal, Hyunjin, sat scrolling on his phone. Both of you being ambiverts who leaned more towards the introverted side, you both often found yourself sitting at the quiet people table in silence.
You could see Hyunjin's welcoming eyes move from you to somewhere behind you, morphing into one of distaste. You followed his line of sight to find your paralegal, Yeji, downing shots like her life depended on it. Although Hyunjin loved his cousin, he wouldn't be caught dead doing the things she did.
"You're painfully fond of him," started Hyunjin in mock annoyance, "It's disgusting."
You rolled your eyes at him and gave him a light slip. Hyunjin dramatically feigned pain and pushed a plate of food towards you. Your stomach rumbling as if on cue, you pounced on the food and relished it. That was one good thing about these corporate meetings; they had free food, at least as far as girl logic went.
Finishing up with a satisfied sigh, you looked up only to lock eyes with a notorious Mr. Peterson, a heavily disliked client who loved hitting on women. The bartender, Chan, offered you a sympathetic smile and slid you a shot of tequila.
"You're gonna need it," he said pitifully, patting your hand twice for reassurance.
Suppressing the urge to slap the now emerging Mr. Peterson and plastering on a fake smile, you turned to face the cause of your sorrow. The short, balding man's attempt at making any nonsensical, non-professional conversation was shot down by you quickly. You waved around your hand around, hoping he would take note of the large diamond ring that sat nestled in you finger.
You hoped he would take the hint about your marital status. You were loyal to your husband to a fault. Behind you, a Kim Seungmin watched you in amusement. You felt both sadness and anger seep into you. Sadness because he wasn't near you and anger because you were left alone to deal with a human shaped insolence.
Finally escaping from the clutches of Mr. Peterson grubby hands, you put your head down on the cold marble slab. Your hands held your heels and your head was already pounding from the effects of alcohol. Behind you, you heard a laugh that you knew unmistakable belonged to Seungmin. Turning around, you came face to face with a seemingly put together and knowingly exhausted Seungmin.
"Working hours are over," you said wearily.
"So?" came Seungmin's dry response.
You held your arms up like a child. "So, would you like to carry your extremely drunk yet adorably lovable wife home?"
Seungmin pressed a kiss to your forehead and duly obliged.

Chat Log: A Human Child Arrives in the Devildom
Beelzebub: I don’t remember. Beelzebub: I don't remember that either. Mammon: Oi, Beel, what the hell are you saying? Satan: That isn’t Beel. It’s “the new human exchange student”. Mammon: Why are ya sayin’ that in quotes? Satan: You’ll see. Mammon: The hell does that mean?! Beelzebub: I fell. Beelzebub: I fell out a tree and then I was here. Lucifer: Satan, Asmo, Beel. I thought I said to look after the human child. Why is it sending nonsense in the chat? Asmo: It can’t talk, so we’re asking it questions out loud and having it answer like this! Lucifer: Why did you not create a new chat where you could interrogate it without annoying the rest of us? Satan: Convenience. This chat already existed. Mammon: Whoa whoa whoa, did you say human CHILD? Why the hell did you guys recruit a child? Lucifer: We didn’t. Something appears to have gone wrong in the summoning process. Barbatos is attempting to resolve the issue as we speak. Mammon: Is the kid still in the chat? Asmodeus: Yes, Beel loaned it his phone. Mammon: Hey kid, ya like ice cream? Beelzebub: Yes. Mammon: Well, I got a massive chocolate cone for any human kid who’s willing to come hang out around the central plaza for a few hours. Demons’ll pay good money to get a look at a genuine human child.  Mammon: Hey, Asmo, is it cute? Beelzebub: They want me to tell you I'm not going anywhere with you. Asmodeus: Yeah, leave the poor thing alone! It probably misses its parents! Asmodeus: And yes, it’s adorable! ♡ Mammon: Good, folks’ll pay more for that. Leviathan: Whaaaaaat? Sorry, just backread, but wow! You guys isekai’d a BABY to RAD? LOLOLOLOL Beelzebub: I’m not a baby. Lucifer: I apologize for the delay in sending this message. I was occupied with Diavolo and Barbatos. Lucifer: Mammon, if you take that child out in public and it gets eaten, I will flay you alive. Beelzebub: Do demons eat kids? Mammon: Yep. Mammon: They’re pretty freakin’ delicious too. Way better than old people. Mammon: ‘Cause they’re softer. Lucifer: Shut up and listen. Lucifer: Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem as if this issue is going to be resolved as quickly as I had hoped. Lucifer: Mammon, if I leave you in charge of the human until tomorrow, do you think you can keep it alive? Mammon: What? Why me? Ain’t Asmo and Satan there already? Lucifer: I hesitate to entrust a child to either Asmo or Satan for any extended period of time due to certain personality defects each of them possess. Asmodeus: Rude!!! Mammon: What about Beel? Lucifer: Beel would certainly eat it. Mammon: …Yeah, I guess that’s fair. Lucifer: Satan, Asmo, Beel. Please take the human to the school gates and wait for Mammon to retrieve it. In the meantime, Diavolo has graciously offered to lend it the D.D.D. he had prepared for the original transfer student, so stop by the dean’s office to pick it up. Asmodeus: Fine, we're going. Mammon: I really gotta do this, huh? Lucifer: Yes. Mammon: :( Leviathan: LOLOLOLOL!!! This is hilarious! Lucifer: Don't think I've forgotten about you, Levi. I'd like you to prepare a few dishes Barbatos says are in vogue with human children. Leviathan: Wait, are you making me its personal chef? Mammon: Ha! Serves ya right! Leviathan: Shut up, Mammon. Lucifer: Macaroni and cheese. Lucifer: Chicken tenders/nuggets (in the shape of dinosaurs, if possible) Leviathan: Dinosaurs? Lucifer: Apple juice. Lucifer: Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Lucifer: French fries. Lucifer: Cheese pizza. Leviathan: Do I have to make all of this right now? Lucifer: Chocolate chip cookies. Lucifer: Human-world grapes. Leviathan: Am I being trolled right now? Lucifer: Absolutely not. Prepare one dish immediately using whatever ingredients we already own. Lucifer: Human, if you are still here, I would like to extend my deepest apologies on behalf of the Royal Academy of Diavolo for this unfortunate mistake. Lucifer: I hope we are able to resolve this in a timely manner.

Deja Vu
Hello Gigglers!
This is a Hwang brothers fic, as requested by @ryoko-loves-roses and @stay-123
Hope you enjoy!
Summary: An aggressive clash between brothers takes a surprising turn when In-Ho is reminded of his brother's peculiar weakness.
This is a TICKLE FIC! Not your thing? DNI.
Tumblr media
"Why would you do this?!", Jun-Ho cried out, not knowing if his older brother was capable of processing the desperation of his words through that stoic demeanor and blank expression.
"I was desperate", In-Ho responded matter-of-factly, "I needed the money".
"Don't bullshit me!", Jun-Ho yelled back, trying but failing to repress his raging temper, "I mean why did you become the leader?! The one in charge?!"
"The Frontman", the elder brother corrected him simply, saying this expression in English, which made the whole situation feel all the more off-putting to the younger cop.
They were standing right outside the game building, face to face, amongst the trees. Jun-Ho's team of policeman, as well as Gi-Hun's trained army of loan sharks, were currently raiding it, stopping the games and rescuing the remaining contestants. But Jun-Ho felt the need to confront his brother personally - a need that was mutual.
Jun-Ho had always remembered his elder brother as gentle - he'd always admired him for how calm and collected he would be, even when things didn't go his way. He had also seen in In-Ho's genuine care for others and concern with his little brother's wellbeing. And behind all that stoicism, there was a touch of sensitivity that only a brother could pick up on. So how In-Ho could possibly do something so vile was completely beyond him.
"Why?", he repeated, trying to fight back tears, unable to prevent his lip from quivering.
"I did ask you to join me", In -Ho said, as if he hadn't heard his younger brother's pained query, "And you refused".
"And you fucking shot me!", Jun-Ho snapped back. This was when his tears finally began to flow. His own brother had tried to kill him - that kind, loving figure who he'd always looked up to and who thought would never hurt him had attempted to take his life.
With that remark, he noticed In-Ho's eyes flash with what was either a sudden realization of his failure to protect the games from infiltration or a genuine feeling of guilt at what he had done to Jun-Ho. Jun-Ho hoped it was the latter, but feared it was the former.
"I know I shot you, and I apologie", he responded steadily, as if Jun-Ho had simply accused him of stealing his shirt for a job interview, (a crime they had both committed a fair share of times). "Also", he added, "I kept that man who saved you around the island. As soon as I recognized you, I kept him stationed, ready to rescue you if anything went wrong. I also aimed at your shoulder so it wouldn't be lethal".
This made Jun-Ho's heart sink a little. It was a sink of both disturbance and hope. Was this true?
He was taken out of his thoughts by In-Ho's completely unexpected chuckle of amusement, "Of course, with you, having your shoulders targeted has never exactly been a walk in the park either". In-Ho reached out to grab at the right shoulder of the man who was standing in front of him, pinching it gently, causing Jun-Ho to squirm, flinch and let out a weak yelp.
The Frontman smiled genuinely at his younger brothers reaction, as if it gave him fond memories - "Huh, just as bad there as you used to be I see?"
The tone was teasing, and Jun-Ho couldn't help but blush. This was just how In-Ho used to behave when they were younger. Ever cheeky, always striving to mess with his little brother, to playfully exploit his weaknesses.
"Hey", In-Ho continued, "Since you asked me a question, I guess I'll ask you one back. Than we can trade answers. That's only fair, isn't it?"
Jun-Ho didn't know what to say, his grief steadily returning as he remembered again that they weren't just young brothers having a fun skirmish.
"Okay", he responded.
The Frontman smirked, "Okay, so you want to know why I became the Frontman, so I may as well ask you, why did you become the hero?"
Jun-Ho was a bit taken aback by that question.
"You could have left me here", In-Ho continued, "You knew I wasn't in danger. You could have let me keep running the games. But no, you were determined, desperate even, to rescue all of the players. Why? A sense of duty? Your cop instincts kicking in?"
Jun-Ho just sighed, "You know why I had to try and stop these games. Their innocent people In-Ho, just like you were when you played". Realizing that he had addressed his brother by name, his heart skipped a beat. It only reminded him that this wasn't just some criminal, it was his blood relative. They shared a generational name.
"Okay", In-Ho responded, "I'll accept that. Now for my motives. I wanted to lead the games because they had given me a lifechanging opportunity. Heck, they had saved my life. I had nothing, and than I won, and had everything. I wanted to give others like me a second chance. And, if not, I wanted to put them out of their misery - be a mercy killer".
Jun-Ho couldn't believe what he was hearing, "What, so you're a fucking charity worker now?!"
At this In-Ho's expression hardened a bit, "Oh come on, you haven't even tried listening to my side of the story. Why wouldn't you trust me? I'm your brother!"
On the word 'brother', he reached his hand behind Jun-Ho's back and scribbled at the middle of his left shoulder blade, making the younger squeal and jump.
The Frontman chuckled at his brother's flustered attempt to regain his composure. "Wow, I really thought this sensitivity would have faded with age", he mused.
"This is no time for messing around", Jun-Ho responded sternly, a slight shake in his voice.
In-Ho recognized that tone. It was the voice and facial expression that his little brother had always wore as soon as he found out that his mean big brother was about to tickle him to pieces.
"Your'e right, this is no time for messing around, you really need to take this seriously", the elder responded, giving his brothers' side a quick finger taser.
This made Jun-Ho buckle backwards with another squeal. "See!", In-Ho continued with a feigned tone of revelation, "You really need to stop making these funny noises and pay attention to what's at stake here!"
Again, the Frontman lashed out at his little brother, but this time Jun-Ho dodged and ran. In-Ho just grinned evilly, this all bringing him a sense of Deja Vu from his childhood. Despite being smaller and sixteen years younger, Jun-Ho had never gone down without a fight. He was too prideful - and ticklish - to just let his brother win.
"Oh Junnyyyy", In-Ho sung, pacing slowly behind him as he ran.
Meanwhile, Jun-Ho was dashing through the shrubbery. He too was getting a sense of Deja Vu. But he wouldn't be caught, not this time. He needed answers, not bonding time. Such revelries could wait until after his brother had given him an explanation, after Jun-Ho had forgiven him, if he ever could.
That was when he slipped. His leg got caught on a branch and down he went.
In-Ho chuckled - how predictable. This was always how it would go. In-Ho would never waste his energy running, as it was inevitable that Jun-Ho would lose his balance and trip at some point. Than In-Ho would seize the opportunity, sprint toward him, topple on top of him and win the chase.
"Honestly", In-Ho said with a sigh of fake resignation, crouching down on top of the younger cop, "You never learn do you?"
Jun-Ho smiled despite himself, the anticipation driving him mad.
"There's that smile!", In-Ho remarked, "You should have greeted me like that brother, it looks so much better than that scowl of yours-"
Jun-Ho was about to respond, when In-Ho started sliding his fingers up and down his belly. The thin cloth of his shirt provided little protection, and the helpless man just bit his lip and squeezed his fists into balls, refusing to let any laughter escape.
"Awww", In-Ho said in mock disappointment, "You used to be so ticklish here. Shame, I guess you grew out of it because your such a big strong police officer".
Jun-Ho's face went red. Part of it was because of the agonizingly gentle tickles he was receiving from his elder brother - those fingers driving him absolutely mad. It was also out of embarrassment and frustration that their vital conversation had been taken completely off course. But it was also because he felt sheepish about the fact that he may have been enjoying this, just a little. He had never told his older brother, but he'd always secretly loved these moments of playful affection. Of course, In-Ho could figure this fact out easily, and it only motivated him further.
"Hmmm, I remember that you used to react really badly to this back in the day-"
With that, In-Ho squeezed the flesh of Jun-Ho's knee. The younger man cried out at the unexpected change of spot and, when the Frontman just kept squeezing, he couldn't help but dissolve into high pitched, bubbly giggles.
In-Ho beamed - he hadn't heard this sound from his brother in forever. It definitely seemed out of character.
"Oh, so I guess that one still works on you", the Frontman said matter-of-factly.
"Stahahap!", Jun-Ho blurted out, his head shaking a bit, his legs weakly kicking but getting nowhere as In-Ho sat on top of them, pinning him.
"Stop? Already. But little brother, I just started-"
If the deathly ticklish sensations on his knees weren't getting to Jun-Ho, the teases definitely were. He just let his giggles out in disbelief. This is beyond the last thing he would have excepted from this confrontation.
"You know, you sure are helpless in this state. I should have just gotten those guards to tickle you, would have saved me a lot of trouble and ammo".
Jun-Ho screeched as In-Ho reached his right hand to scribble under his little brother's knee, and lifted the left hand to scrape his side, just below his armpit.
"Hehehey!", he cried desperately.
And that was when In-Ho noticed something. Jun-Ho's desperate giggles had seemingly made him forget about what led of to this tickle attack. Or maybe he did remember, but was trying to suppress it. Either way, his younger brother seemed genuinely joyful, which brought a sense of warmth to In-Ho's heart. All he'd seen from Jun-Ho over the past few years had been pain, stress and, more recently, looks of betrayal. But now the man seemed legitimately happy and, although he may have been the ruthless Frontman, In-Ho's big- brotherly instinct remained, making him ecstatic to see his brother cheered up.
"Hey", In-Ho noted absentmindedly, still not slowing his fingers clawing at his victim's knees and sides, "We haven't done this in forever. I really missed tickling the shit out of you".
Jun-Ho went dark red, "Nahahaha!"
In-Ho just chuckled, taking the hand that was scribbling at his brother's side to poke instead, causing Jun Ho's whole upper body to jolt forward before he started contorting his torso in a futile effort to avoid those brutal fingers.
"I used to do this to you all the time when you were little", In-Ho continued, highly amused by Jun-Ho's silly and highly un-cop-like movements. "Remember when you used to come and wake me in the middle of the night, when I was in my second year of cop training and you were in preschool? How you used to complain about nightmares and interrupt my precious sleep schedule?"
In-Ho than squeezed his brother's hip, making him jolt again and let out a piercing shriek.
In-Ho, trying to hide his delight at his ticklish brother's expense, continued his anecdote - "And than I would punish you by scribbling here-" In-Ho crept both of his hands to Jun-Ho's belly - "And poking here" - the Frontman gently prodded the side of Jun-Ho's neck.
All the while, the younger man was collapsing in sweet giggles, even letting out an occasional snort. Why did his brother have to be so mean?
Suddenly, In-Ho withdrew his fingers. Jun-Ho panted a bit, his chest heaving.
"You know, even though I always tickled you whenever you woke me up in the middle of the night, what was always so peculiar to me was that....you kept coming back"
Jun-Ho watched as his older brother flashed him the most evil grin imaginable.
"You kept waking me night after night, even though you knew what was to come. It made me think that you might have....liked it when I tickled you"
Jun-Ho felt his heart leap out of his chest, felt his body sinking into the ground beneath him. Just as he was about to stammer out a response, his older brother went for the kill.
As soon as In-Ho attacked his underarms, there was no going back.
"NOhoHOhoHOHhoho!"
Jun-Ho wasn't one to scream with laughter, but his bubbly cackles kept getting louder and louder, bordering screeches. He shook violently, slamming his fists into the grass below him, his head buzzing with laughter and, as much as he would never admit it, a much missed sense of happiness and comfort.
In-Ho just kept grinning at the sight, trying to make it look like a malicious smirk as to hold back his overwhelming joy at making his brother this carefree.
"Is this how you learned to fight criminals at the academy?", In-Ho teased, "Just thrashing and flailing uselessly?"
Jun-Ho snorted and squealed, "ShuhuhuHUHUhuhut it!"
In-Ho gasped in mock offence, "Why you little-"
This went on for a few more minutes, until the younger cop's giggles went silent. That was when the Frontman let up.
He waited for his little brother to recover - a rather adorable recovery of residual snickers and a lasting grin - before extending his hand to help him up.
Than Jun-Ho remembered what he had been talking with his brother about. And how unnecessary and immature this whole situation was. He shot In-Ho a piercing glare.
Yet, despite how pissed he was, he had to admit that he was feeling a little better. Maybe this was exactly what he'd needed to regulate his terror and rage - it would be best to hear his elder brother's story with the most open mind possible.
Hope you enjoyed!

Please Help a Struggling Queer Family
Hi all, I'm not normally one to make any type of post on Tumblr, let alone one asking for help. But my family really needs assistance, and I'm not sure where else to turn to.
I work full time to pay for me, my spouse, and our pets to live. My spouse got hurt at work a few months back and we have been fighting the insurance company they were insured through to cover the injury. The process is taking much longer than we thought it would, and now with only one source of income I can't keep up with the bills and rent anymore. Our landlord is upping our rent (they know the situation we are in) and I can't afford to pay for my car loan, my car insurance, or any housing.
My account was pushed into the negatives as it is just to get through the beginning of June. And now I can't climb out of the debt from the overdraft fees the bank keeps charging me. I can't physically pay for us to live, and we will lose our home before August comes.
Please, I'm begging, if all you could offer is a penny, or words of kindness or a reblog, I would greatly appreciate it.
I can offer services in exchange as well, I'm a college student working towards my bachelors in anthropology, so I have lots of experience in research, writing, communications, etc. If there's even an email you need written or a phone call you need made, I'll do it. No matter how simple or complex the task is, I can absolutely help in whatever way possible. I used to make DnD campaigns, write short stories, and I worked full time as an administrative assistant, keeping track of personal records and appointments, etc. I have an entire resume I can send!
Please, my family needs help, and I've applied to every possible assistance program there is available to me, I'm out of options. Just a reblog would help me greatly. All I have is Cashapp, I don't know how to work Ko-Fi or PayPal. Please message me if you can help. Or donate if your able to. Thank you all so much!

We LOVE dad Noah here!
How about ummm, oh! A quick lil bubble of Noah going with reader and Eden to get her ears pierced? I know my parents took me as a baby maybe like 8-9 months? Ik some people have feelings about it but I personally am happy there did!
Anyway thank you start love you❤️❤️
A/N: omg so cute!! I know my mom had my ears pierced when I was around 6 to 7 months or so. Maybe a little bit younger, but my dad was definitely very upset I was crying when it happened.😭😭
Tumblr media
Noah was holding Eden in his lap and bouncing his knee. The month old, simply just enjoying being held by her father. Noah was internally freaking out about her ears being pierced. Of course you’re both OK with her. Having earrings and logically speaking doing it now will be better for her since she won’t remember the pain. Either way it was a quick pinch and should be over in just 10 minutes.
However, on the way over to the establishment started to freak out a little bit. Knowing that the piercing would make her cry. So no he was giving options about waiting until next week or trying to find a place that numb her ear and pierce it instead.
But you were reassuring him that she would be fine and she wouldn’t even remember it after five minutes. So now you had a pouty husband to try and comfort while he was waiting in the chair as the employee was readying the needle and earrings. Of course Noah being who he was for his princess got her only the nicest and highest quality earing and piercer. Making sure to look into reviews on how they are with kids.
"Alright are we ready?" the young girl asked. Her bright smile such a contrast to her piercings and tattoos. She was just lovely to speak with as she explained the process "Alright dad, we're going to try and pierce her ears nice and quick. So I'll need to you to hold her head and make sure she doesn't move,"
Noah take the deep breath while he faces his large hand on Eden small head. Her face still not knowing what is to come and knows how was jumping out of his chest. The piercer mark a single dot on each of her loans sure that they both look even before she grabbed the needle gun. Aligning the tip of the needle on her earlobe, she says,
“ oh right, we’re gonna try to make this really fast really quick so once I’m done with this year, I’m moving right to the second one,” she reiterates she had said before “ ready? 1…..2…..3,”
And in the blink of an eye, the gun clicks as appears through her ear. It takes a second for Eden to react actually, trying to understand what had just happened as her lips starts to pout. Her little nose sniffling as a wine, and a cry starts to escape her lips. Noah’s heart broke hearing her starts to cry.
On top of that he was the one holding her head in place so that she wouldn’t move and all he wanted to do was to comfort her. And at the same time he’s never felt more rage towards someone who essentially he was paying to do this
The piercer quickly moves to the other side and pierces her ear quickly. “ Okay she’s all done, no more. I’m sorry princess” she gives an apologetic look to Noah and Eden we all know it does is turn Eden into him and comfort her. He had his signature mug shot face very upset. His baby was uncomfortable and hurting.
No one stand up from the sea, and he walks around the room, bouncing her to try and calm her down. His large hand no longer holding your head in place, but caressing the soft hair on her head as his lips kiss her forehead.
“I’m so sorry baby. I know Mommy so mean for letting the lady do that” he whispers to her and all you could do was go at him as he blamed you partially for it. Luckily you both know was Eden’s main source of calm and comfort. Now you moved to the front desk to pay for the service, eden has calmed down and her crush were reduced to small sniffles as she sucked on her finger to also calm her down.
While your card was being charged, you take a look at her earring and you were very happy with the service. She did great in Eden seem to be dealing with him much better than you had anticipated. On the other hand was still very upset.
“Babe why are you still pouting? She’s just fine”
“ Because look at her face, her nose is all red and look at her cheeks. Her eyes are red and watery still” no it was very emotional when it came to his precious little princess. He couldn’t blame him since he felt the same way. But you knew that the pain for this was temporary and she wouldn’t remember it at all by the next day. Just like when you had taken her to the doctor to get her shot after she was born.
While you walk to the car hand-in-hand, no scene to forgive you a bit more as Eden returns to her normal self. As he put her into the car seat, he takes a look at her earrings and tilts his head a bit.
“Look at my princess. Did daddy get you was pretty earrings?” he uses his baby voice with her. “Looking so beautiful, just like Mama”
He then turned to you planted a kiss on your nose. As he closes the door, he opens the passenger door for you to get into
“Oh? I thought it was my fault for letting the mean, lady pierce her ears,” you pouted at him as he crossed your arms, reiterating his own words back to him
“ maybe it wasn’t completely your fault you were right she did calm down after a while. And I guess…. You’re right she won’t remember it later on in life.”
You take a hold of his jaw gently and shake his head slightly “AWWHH look at my man admitting that he’s wrong,”
“Wrong? No, I did not say I was wrong. I still think that piercer was a bitch for making her cry,”
“Noah that’s her job, Eden was going to cry either way!” You giggle as you climb into the car
“Yeah yeah, I won’t leave a bad review” he chuckled closing the door
“Noah don’t you dare!” your muffled voice, comes from inside the car as he rounds the front and gets into the driver seat. He completely ignores what you say turns to Eden and put his hand into her car seat and tickles her little belly
“Now who wants ice cream?!” Wanting to reward her for being such a brave girl
“ oh yeah, that’s right just change the subject,” crossing your arms
“ keep that attitude up and I’ll make sure to use my ice cream for something else” he smirks at you as he turns on the car and scans your body from top to bottom
“…..fine I want my usual order and you better know it or you won’t be using your ice cream for anything” she knew what you were talking about you hear Eden giggle in the back of the car

Amazon argues that national labor board is unconstitutional, joining SpaceX and Trader Joe’s
Amazon is arguing in a legal filing that the 88-year-old National Labor Relations Board is unconstitutional, echoing similar arguments made this year by Elon Musk’s SpaceX and the grocery store chain Trader Joe’s in disputes about workers’ rights and organizing.
The Amazon filing, made Thursday, came in response to a case before an administrative law judge overseeing a complaint from agency prosecutors who allege the company unlawfully retaliated against workers at a New York City warehouse who voted to unionize nearly two years ago.
In its filing, Amazon denies many of the charges and asks for the complaint to be dismissed. The company’s attorneys then go further, arguing that the structure of the agency — particularly limits on the removal of administrative law judges and five board members appointed by the president — violates the separation of powers and infringes on executive powers stipulated in the Constitution.
The attorneys also argue that NLRB proceedings deny the company a trial by a jury and violate its due-process rights under the Fifth Amendment. (source)
ICYMI, this is a case of corporations going, “7th Amendment Protections for me, but not for thee.”
It is strongly worth noting that in 2018 the John Roberts Court ruled 5-4 that companies can use forced arbitration clauses to stop people from joining together to fight workplace abuses - in effect denying individuals their 7th Amendment protections.
Subsequently, binding arbitration clauses used by corporations has proliferated; sneaking into all manner of common legal documents: personal banking applications, ordinary car loan applications, furniture purchases, and more. This is, unsurprisingly, a direct violation of the 7th Amendment that guarantees HUMAN BEINGS AND PEOPLE the right to a jury trial in certain civil cases and inhibits courts from overturning a jury's findings of fact. Republicans and SCOTUS are perfectly okay with corporations having more rights than workers and using forced arbitration to block people from having access to jury trials—but God forbid if corporations don’t have their right to a jury trial.
Tumblr media
This legislative push to bestow corporations with more rights than people, while simultaneously taking away rights from human beings, has been nothing if not thoroughly and methodically done. At this rate, no corporation will ever need to fear a class action lawsuit again.
Amazon, SpaceX and Trader Joe’s are union busting.
But this latest case against the NLRB isn’t just an attack on labor and worker’s rights, it’s a fascistic attack on the very heart of fairness and democracy itself.

WASHINGTON — President Biden issued a pardon Monday for his brother James Biden, effectively burying the final details of a more than five-year probe into the first family’s influence peddling to save them from possible repercussions under the incoming Trump administration.
Congressional Republicans subpoenaed James Biden, 75, along with first son Hunter Biden, 54, in 2023 to investigate their involvement in the family’s domestic and foreign business dealings — after evidence emerged that both men repeatedly involved Joe Biden in their lucrative relationships.
Republicans accused James of lying to Congress and requested criminal charges. They also suggested his dealings may have amounts to unregistered foreign lobbying, another crime.
“My family has been subjected to unrelenting attacks and threats, motivated solely by a desire to hurt me—the worst kind of partisan politics. Unfortunately, I have no reason to believe these attacks will end,” the outgoing president said in a statement minutes before leaving office.   “I believe in the rule of law, and I am optimistic that the strength of our legal institutions will ultimately prevail over politics. But baseless and politically motivated investigations wreak havoc on the lives, safety, and financial security of targeted individuals and their families. Even when individuals have done nothing wrong and will ultimately be exonerated, the mere fact of being investigated or prosecuted can irreparably damage their reputations and finances.”   Biden added: “That is why I am exercising my power under the Constitution to pardon James B. Biden, [his wife] Sara Jones Biden, [first sister] Valerie Biden Owens, [her husband] John T. Owens, and [first brother] Francis W. Biden. The issuance of these pardons should not be mistaken as an acknowledgment that they engaged in any wrongdoing, nor should acceptance be misconstrued as an admission of guilt for any offense.”
It’s unclear why Biden pardoned some of his relatives, though Sara Biden was involved with some of her husband’s business relationships, and Biden’s brother Frank allegedly used his brother’s name in business dealings. The timeframe covered by the clemency grants also was not immediately clear.
Biden previously issued an unprecedented pardon on Dec. 1 spanning 11 years of his son’s conduct — stretching back to 2014 when Hunter Biden joined the board of Ukrainian gas giant Burisma Holdings — heading off sentencing on gun and tax evasion convictions and potential additional charges.
James Biden, unlike his nephew, was not charged with committing any federal crimes, though his conduct was actively investigated by House Republicans and the press.
The pardon of James Biden, who struggled to manage his own finances despite earning large sums, indicates the president likely feared the incoming Trump Justice Department would further investigate his family’s dealings, as James was involved in many key initiatives that included the president and Hunter.
The first brother for decades monetized his proximity to power — dating to Joe Biden’s 36-year Senate tenure — and House Republicans turned up records that he sent $240,000 to Joe Biden in 2017 and 2018 from funds linked to alleged influence peddling, which James said were personal loan repayments.
‘A line of 747s filled with cash’
In one of the earliest known instances of his dealings that garnered scrutiny, James in 2006 allegedly crowed, “don’t worry about investors, we’ve got people all around the world who want to invest in Joe Biden” when he and Hunter Biden were in the process of taking over a New York City hedge fund.
“We’ve got investors lined up in a line of 747s filled with cash,” Politico reporter Ben Schreckinger wrote in a 2021 book.
Joe Biden was the top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee at the time.
Law firm SimmonsCooper — associated with wealthy asbestos lawyer Jeff Cooper — invested $1 million in 2006 to that hedge fund. The same year, Congress considered asbestos reform legislation, in which then-Sen. Biden (D-Del.) played a pivotal role in blocking a change that could have limited funding for payouts after lobbying by Cooper’s firm.
A Biden spokesman claimed in 2008 that the money was unrelated to the bill and that the investment was later returned.
Cooper subsequently partnered with the Biden family on business pursuits in Mexico during the Obama-Biden administration — and posed for a 2015 group photo with Mexican guests and Joe Biden at the official vice president’s residence and riding aboard Air Force Two for an official 2016 trip to Mexico.
James Biden was wiretapped by the FBI in 2007 — when his brother was still a senator — as part of a bribery investigation of Mississippi lawyer Dickie Scruggs, the Washington Post reported in 2023.
Biden, who was not charged in the case, was in talks with Scruggs and conspirator Tim Balducci about setting up a law firm that would have employed himself, his nephew Hunter Biden, and James’ wife.
Scruggs at one point flew Joe Biden to a fundraiser on his private plane, the Washington Post reported.
Then-Sen. Biden went from opposing federal legislation to punish tobacco companies for lying about the addictiveness of cigarettes to a supporter after Scruggs — the architect of a multibillion-dollar litigation plan — paid James Biden’s lobbying firm $100,000 in 1998, the Washington Post also reported.
“I probably wouldn’t have hired him if he wasn’t the senator’s brother,” Scruggs told the paper.
Another disbarred Mississippi attorney, Joey Langston, who was convicted in a different bribery case, told House impeachment inquiry investigators that he loaned James Biden $800,000 in 2016 and 2017 during Joe Biden’s final term in office, but only got $400,000 back.
The troubled attorney, who had hosted fundraisers for Joe Biden, ProPublica reported, was unsuccessfully trying to overturn a bribery conviction in court in 2016 — raising questions about whether he was also seeking a federal pardon from Obama while Biden was his No. 2.
China funds ‘laundered’ to Joe: GOP
James Biden was involved in an arm’s length of controversial foreign ventures.
Corporate bankruptcy documents say that James Biden received $600,000 in loans in 2018 from rural hospital provider Americore, including an initial $400,000 that January and a later $200,000 on March 1, 2018, by pledging to “obtain a large investment from the Middle East based on his political connections.”
Politico reported that “one person on the receiving end of Jim Biden’s health care pitch recalled a phone call in which Jim Biden said he was sitting in a car next to his brother Joe.”
James Biden in 2018 apparently made a pitch to Qatar to invest $30 million into a troubled rural hospital provider and directly mentioned that he was the “brother” of then-former Vice President Biden in 2018 in a presentation, according to documents obtained by Politico.
James told impeachment inquiry investigators that investor Amer Rustom, whose corporate biography describes him as having “strong ties with many of the Middle East and North African leaders and country officials” referred him to another businessman, Michael Lewitt, for a potential $20 million investment in Americore, but that it didn’t materialize in time to save the company financially.
The Securities and Exchange Commission in 2023 charged Lewitt, a Florida resident, with stealing $4.7 million from investors of his own fund.
James Biden wrote his brother a $200,000 check shortly after receiving his final installment from Americore.
The first brother insisted the payment was a legitimate loan reimbursement. Democrats said that bank records showed the Joe Biden had transferred that amount to James previously, Republicans said no loan paperwork existed and questioned whether Joe Biden had actually transferred the initial funds, which flowed from a law firm associated with the family.
James Biden also sent $40,000 to Joe Biden on Sept. 3, 2017, which House Republicans said came from “laundered” funds from CEFC China Energy, a Chinese state-linked firm that paid Hunter and James Biden millions of dollars in a venture that one Biden family associate infamously penciled in a 10% cut for Joe Biden, whom they referred to as the “big guy.”
The source of that $40,000 sent to Joe was trackable due to the near-empty balance of James’ account, investigators pointed out.
James defended his work with CEFC in his impeachment inquiry testimony, though his description of his duties drew questions about his possible liability under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, which requires Americans to register before lobbying for certain foreign clients.
“Relying on the extensive network of contacts I had developed over many decades, I quickly identified a number of promising opportunities. For example, I reached out to a number of investors who were friends and who expressed serious interest in working with us,” James said.
“In addition, I connected with Richard Ieyoub, an old friend and the former long-term Attorney General of Louisiana, who by 2017 was the state Commissioner of Conservation. Mr. Ieyoub directed me to a number of projects, including Monkey Island LNH, a property off the coast of Louisiana with opportunities for the onloading and offloading of liquid natural gas.
“Of all the projects, this was the one that proved most attractive to CEFC, whose representatives presented the opportunity to the Chairman [Ye] and gave an informal go-ahead for the project. We even marked the occasion with a celebratory lunch.”
Joe Biden allegedly met in early 2017 in Washington with CEFC Chairman Ye Jianming shortly before the company opened the spigot of funds flowing to the family, former Biden family associate Rob Walker testified.
James said in his own testimony, said his brother “had no information at all about the source of the funds I used to repay him.”
“I never asked my brother to take any official action on behalf of me, my business associates, or anyone else. In every business venture in which I have been involved, I have relied on my own talent, judgment, skill, and personal relationships — and never my status as Joe Biden’s brother,” he said in the testimony in February.
He insisted that the money he transferred to the president were all short term loans that were for tuition payments for his children, unforeseen medical expenses and storm damage on his house.
“The Committees have asked about those loans from my brother. They were short-term loans that I received from Joe when he was a private citizen, and I repaid them within weeks…. The complete explanation is that Joe lent me money, and I repaid him as soon as I had the funds to do so.”
“What I can say is not that I’m aware of,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Dec. 12 about a James Biden pardon. “But I just don’t have anything else beyond that, and the president certainly is going to as it more broadly speaking, as we move forward to the next couple of weeks, he obviously is going to review with his team about other clemency decisions, and they’re taking additional steps, and so that’s what I can speak to at this time.”

Oh, by the way, while I'm on the topic of cars, let's talk about how dealerships screw you.
At one of my old jobs, I used to work for the Dealer Receivables department of a major auto lender. What's Dealer Receivables? Well, when a car gets repossessed, policies like the warranty, GAP, life insurance, etc. that got signed along with the car sale get cancelled. A percentage of what you paid into the warranty gets refunded to the dealer, based on how far along the policy was in its life. The dealer has to then pay that percentage back to the lender.
Dealer Receivables is a collections department whose job is to recover those funds that the dealership owes. Or to recover the entire portion if the dealership never filed the contract.
Yeah. Uh. That happens more often than you'd think. You give the dealer $800 for a warranty and $200 for GAP coverage for policies that are actually like $300 and $100 but the dealer is upcharging you with secret Dealer Fees so he can pocket the difference. And then, if he's feeling spicy, he never files the contracts anyway and pockets the entire thing.
This is an extremely common way for dealers to defraud their customers, one that customers often only find out about when they go to use those contracts and find out they don't actually have a warranty or GAP insurance.
But that's nothing compared to equipment variance. An entire subset of Dealer Receivables is for recovering money on equipment variance.
What is equipment variance? It's when the dealer upcharges you for equipment that isn't installed on your vehicle. Like. Every car has a sunroof, according to dealers.
If a lender repossesses your car, checks the contract, and finds out that there's stuff on the contract that isn't on the physical car, they go after the dealer for reimbursement. You don't get your car back. But the dealer has to pay the lender back for charging money for things that didn't exist.
Where I worked, we once repossessed a vehicle that had a lien of $25,000, with $15,000 of equipment variance on it. 60% of this person's loan was made up by a shady dealership. You know what? If all of that fraud wasn't in the contract, that person probably could have made their fucking car payments.
Nobody does anything about this. Lenders only care about it on repossession since it affects the car's resale value, and it's so normal that we have terms and processes for it. They just wag their fingers at the dealer and demand a cut of the ill-gotten gains.
We all know dealers are shady, but we only really think about it in terms of how the dealer might lie to you. The real money, however, is in lying to the bank about you, in paperwork they try very hard not to let you see.
Talk to your lender. Talk to the people you think are covering your policies. Demand to see the equipment list before you sign the paperwork. Make sure you're not going to spend the next six years paying for imaginary add-ons the dealer didn't tell you about.

[VIPER] took over her mother’s position as the most powerful boss in Korea at the young age of 17 when [BULLET] passed away. Although the circumstances of [BULLET] death are unknown, it is assumed [VIPER] killed her for power and position. Her alleged first act as boss was the alleged manipulation of the prison break that freed [CHECKMATE]. [VIPER] proved to be just as powerful of a boss as her late mother as she easily defended her and her gang’s position at the top of Korea and then expanded the territory quite quickly. In just under two years she had become one of the most powerful mafia bosses in Asia and remains in that position to this day.
SKILL OVERVIEW: As she was trained from birth, [VIPER] is at the top in all categories of the gang. She is the main leader of everyone, even in specialized positions such as Tech Leader and Stealth Leader. The only team she doesn’t have that control over is the medical team. She has shown to be proficient in everything from offensive/defensive attacks to politics and strategy. Her skill set lies in her proficiency in all areas, making her a deadly enemy and prolific leader. UNDERCOVER DETAIL: As a very wealthy family the Kims had many people who worked in the household. [REDACTED] was sent in during the middle years of [BULLET'S] reign as a worker. [REDACTED] had acted indecorously and fallen in love with [BULLET] during that time. While unethical, the government's desperation had allowed [REDACTED] to continue the flirtation, until it all culminated in [BULLET'S] pregnancy with [VIPER]. At this time, [REDACTED] turned in his final report before disappearing off the grid, away from [BULLET] and the government. He was assumed alive due to a low-priority tail assigned to him to ensure his safety in hiding, until [CHECKMATE] leaked the documents of [REDACTED] name, files, and information. Two days later [VIPER] promptly sent his death notification with his corpse. KILL COUNT: ↳ CONFIRMED: 2,500+ ↳ UNCONFIRMED: 4,000+ CASE FILE: [PARK CHAEYOUNG / ROSÉ]
Tumblr media
NAME: ROSEANNE PARK / PARK CHAEYOUNG
↳ ALIAS: REAPER
POSITION: Consigliere
SPECIALITY: Assasin / Hitmen Leader

KNOWN ORIGIN: [REAPER] was born in Auckland, New Zealand before moving to Melbourne, Australia [AGE: 1] with her father who had met her then-future stepmother. Many reports were filed against the small family over the next ten years, yet due to the negligence of Australian authorities, no action was taken. When [REAPER] was 12 her father was found murdered in the living room of the family home, and the young girl was found locked inside her room with only a single bottle of water with her, her deceased family dog next to her father. An investigation led to a large history of the stepmother abusing not only the young girl but her father as well, using them to earn herself money, which she finally stole and ran away. [REAPER] was sent to live with her biological mother in Korea, and three years later, the mother was found murdered brutally. Further investigation into the death came across a horrifying discovery of her abusing her traumatized child even more. Before an attempt at an arrest could be made of her, [REAPER] disappeared. It's reported that she mastered the art of being a hitman quickly, and from there sent out to kill her stepmother. [REAPER] has killed without mercy, her known kill count just shy of her boss’s. She knows how to defend herself, and has carried out many assassinations in broad daylight, in public places, yet gone completely unnoticed.

When [REAPER] set out to assassinate her former stepmother, [REDACTED] joined her. Though [REDACTED] took no part in the killing, she was quickly removed from the operation for worries of her psychological profile, and the way she seemed to be leaning into the life. [REDACTED'S] final report was after her disposal, and she explained how [REAPER] demanded her disappearance as her final act of mercy. [REDACTED] burned her real identity and is currently unknown in her whereabouts.

CASE FILE: [LALISA MANOBAL / LISA]
Tumblr media
NAME: LALISA MANOBAL / LISA ↳ ALIAS: SAVIOR
POSITION: Consigliere / Associate
Specialty: Doctor / Medical Leader
OVERVIEW: [SAVIOR], is, officially speaking, not truly a member of the [BP] crime family. She is officially classified as an associate, someone who works for the crime family but is not a member. Yet, she is higher ranking than any other crew or crew leader, her position in the family being an odd one as she actually holds the same authority and power as the other leaders, specifically [REAPER]. For this reason, in the family between the members, she holds the position of consigliere.
KNOWN ORIGIN: [SAVIOR] is the only member of the [BP] Korean Crime Family who is not Korean or of Korean ethnicity. [SAVIOR] was born and raised in Buri Ram, Thailand, with a loving mother and stepfather. [SAVIOR] is a certifiable genius with an IQ of 184. She graduated high school [AGE: 13] before going into pre-med at SNU, thus moving to Korea alone. She graduated in just a few years, before being transferred to medical school. It is unclear exactly how it happened, but after graduating med school [AGE: 20] she went off the grid for over three months. When [SAVIOR] finally resurfaced everything was fine until certain events led to her connection with [BP] coming to light.
SKILL OVERVIEW: [SAVIOR] has the most straightforward skill set of all the members. As [SAVIOR] is a licensed doctor, she is the medical leader for the [BP] crime family. She is the leader of all medical teams of the family, and the only one trusted enough to take care of the other inner members, herself included. She is a skilled fighter as well but not as much as the other girls, so she prefers not fighting. If [SAVIOR] is on a mission on the field, it is said she remains away from the action.
UNDERCOVER DETAILS: [REDACTED] went undercover a few months after [SAVIOR] joined, before she was discovered. [REDACTED] stated that very few, if any knew of [SAVIOR], and he didn't even know of her until a mission gone bad. Due to a lack of reports, not much is known of her activity in the gang, only her position and skill. [REDACTED] passed away on a mission gone wrong against [CHA LEE-YEON].

What Are the Consequences of Missing a Personal Loan EMI?
Introduction
A personal loan is a convenient financial tool that helps individuals cover expenses such as medical emergencies, home renovations, education, or debt consolidation. However, missing an Equated Monthly Installment (EMI) can have serious financial consequences. A missed payment can affect your credit score, increase financial penalties, and even lead to legal action if not managed properly.
Understanding the consequences of missing a personal loan EMI and learning how to prevent it can help borrowers maintain financial stability. In this guide, we’ll discuss the impacts of missing EMIs, how to recover from a missed payment, and preventive measures to avoid future defaults.
Immediate Consequences of Missing a Personal Loan EMI
1. Late Payment Fees and Penalties
Lenders charge late payment fees when an EMI is not paid by the due date. The penalty amount varies from lender to lender and typically ranges from 2% to 5% of the overdue EMI. This additional charge increases your repayment burden.
2. Negative Impact on Credit Score
Missing an EMI negatively affects your CIBIL score and overall creditworthiness. A lower score can reduce your chances of obtaining future loans and credit cards at favorable interest rates.
3. Increase in Interest Accumulation
If you miss an EMI, the unpaid amount continues to accrue interest, increasing the total loan cost. Over time, repeated missed payments can make repayment significantly more expensive.
4. Loan Default Risk
If multiple EMIs are missed, the lender may classify the loan as a Non-Performing Asset (NPA), leading to legal action or loan recall.
Long-Term Consequences of Repeated EMI Defaults
1. Legal Action from Lenders
Banks and NBFCs can initiate legal proceedings against borrowers who repeatedly default on payments. This can lead to severe financial and legal troubles.
2. Difficulty in Getting Future Loans
A poor repayment history makes it challenging to secure future personal loans, home loans, or car loans. Lenders view defaulters as high-risk borrowers and may reject new loan applications.
3. Asset Seizure (For Secured Loans)
If your personal loan is secured by collateral, such as a fixed deposit or property, the lender has the legal right to seize the asset if EMIs are consistently missed.
4. Higher Interest Rates on Future Loans
Even if you qualify for a loan after defaulting, lenders may charge higher interest rates due to your damaged credit history.
What to Do If You Miss a Personal Loan EMI?
If you’ve missed an EMI, follow these steps to minimize the impact:
1. Make the Payment Immediately
If possible, pay the overdue EMI at the earliest to avoid additional penalties and interest accumulation.
2. Contact Your Lender for an EMI Extension
Many lenders offer grace periods or flexible repayment plans for borrowers facing temporary financial difficulties.
3. Opt for a Loan Restructuring
If you’re struggling with multiple debts, request a loan restructuring to extend the repayment tenure and lower EMI amounts.
4. Use an Emergency Fund
If available, use your savings or emergency fund to cover missed EMIs and avoid financial penalties.
5. Consider a Balance Transfer
If the current EMI is too high, transferring your loan to another lender with a lower interest rate can help reduce the financial burden.
How to Avoid Missing a Personal Loan EMI?
1. Set Up Automatic Payments
Enroll in auto-debit or standing instructions to ensure EMIs are paid on time without manual intervention.
2. Maintain an EMI Emergency Fund
Keep at least three to six months’ worth of EMI payments in a separate savings account to cover unexpected financial difficulties.
3. Choose an EMI Date That Matches Your Salary Cycle
Selecting an EMI date right after your salary is credited reduces the chances of missed payments.
4. Opt for a Loan with Flexible Repayment Options
Some lenders offer personal loans with flexible EMI options, allowing borrowers to increase or decrease EMIs based on financial conditions.
5. Reduce Unnecessary Expenses
If your financial situation is tight, cut back on non-essential spending to ensure EMIs are always paid on time.
Top Lenders Offering Flexible EMI Repayment Plans
For borrowers seeking low-interest rates and flexible EMI options, the following lenders provide some of the best personal loan offers:
IDFC First Bank Personal Loan
Bajaj Finserv Personal Loan
Tata Capital Personal Loan
Axis Finance Personal Loan
Axis Bank Personal Loan
InCred Personal Loan
Conclusion
Missing a personal loan EMI can lead to serious consequences, including late fees, credit score damage, increased interest costs, and legal troubles. However, timely action, such as contacting the lender, making partial payments, and opting for restructuring, can help minimize the impact.
To prevent EMI defaults, borrowers should use automatic payments, maintain an emergency fund, and choose flexible repayment plans.

2024-10-12: Area 12 (Wasco Merchants & Farmers Bank)
Those in need of money in Bowman turn to Wasco Merchants & Farmers Bank. It’s a single-story building with a blue façade and a pitched roof to keep the snow from piling up too much. The front door and windows are barred for security, and the bank tellers operate through a small window cut into a wooden barrier to keep unscrupulous individuals from jumping over the teller counter. A locked door in the lobby leads to the main area of the bank where customers seeking a loan meet with the proprietors of the bank. The bank is not owned and operated by a corporation, instead being wholly-owned by two brothers from St. Louis who relocated to the area six years ago.
Eustace Stockton is the older of the two, approaching the age of 50 and never without a spotless suit. He is the generally seen as the face of the bank, as most people seeking loans interact with him. Hiram Stockton is just two years behind, considerably slimmer and quieter than his brother. Hiram is the one who is over the bookkeeping and helps set the interest rate. Only rarely does Eustace actually disagree with Hiram’s decisions, but the pair often argue about rates in front of the customer. This is almost entirely for show, a performance designed to trick customers into thinking the rates are flexible and that Eustace is looking out for the customer.
Like most banks of the era, loan rates varied considerably and the most favorable rates were given to the already wealthy (or at least those who were presumed to be wealthy and of good character). Rates for the poor (in money, character, or both) could see interests rates as high as 60%, take it or leave it. Most of the time, the brothers work in the same room behind the teller counter alongside two other employees: Edna Downing and Maud Henderson. Both women are capable in their role as tellers, though they were hired because they were relatively young women who could be paid much less. Edna close familiarity with the accounting ledgers has uncovered a series of fraudulent charges and administrative fees that are actually hush money payments to Eustace’s mistress, but Edna has not acted on this information yet. Maud, on the other hand, is only sticking around long enough to scrape together the money needed to move south and start a new life somewhere warmer.
The bank also has a small office where loans involving sensitive or secret details for wealthy customers can be processed discreetly. Behind that office is the vault, which is a walk-in safe secured by a sturdy combination lock. The vault contains about $22,000, though it is spread among several different stores of value: paper bank notes, gold and silver coins, gold bullion and non-negotiable securities. A small ladder runs between the vault and the far wall, which leads to a cramped attic where several boxes of files and personal effects belonging to the Stockton brothers are stored. Though the ground floor of the bank is well-secured, the roof is considerably less robust and makes for an enticing entry point for would-be thieves.

Managing Debt Effectively: Your Guide to Financial Freedom
Tumblr media
Debt is a common part of life, but managing it effectively is crucial for achieving long-term financial stability. Whether it’s student loans, credit card debt, mortgages, or personal loans, high levels of debt can quickly become overwhelming. The good news is that with the right strategies, you can take control of your debt and work toward a debt-free future.
Here’s how to manage debt effectively and regain financial freedom.
Step 1: Understand Your Debt
The first step in managing debt is knowing exactly what you owe. This means making a comprehensive list of all your debts, including:
Credit cards
Student loans
Car loans
Personal loans
Mortgage or rent
For each debt, write down:
The total balance
The interest rate
The minimum payment
By understanding your debt, you can prioritize which loans to pay off first and develop a strategy that works best for your financial situation.
Step 2: Create a Budget
A budget is essential when it comes to managing debt. It helps you track where your money is going and allows you to allocate funds toward paying off debt.
To create a budget:
List all sources of income (salary, side gigs, etc.).
Track all monthly expenses, including essential costs (e.g., utilities, groceries, housing) and non-essential costs (e.g., entertainment, dining out).
Determine how much you can afford to put toward debt each month, after covering your necessary expenses.
Tip: If you find that your income is lower than your expenses, consider cutting back on discretionary spending or finding ways to increase your income through side jobs or freelancing.
Step 3: Prioritize Debt Repayment
Not all debts are created equal, and prioritizing which debts to pay off first can save you money in interest over time. There are two common methods for prioritizing debt repayment:
The Debt Avalanche Method: In this approach, you focus on paying off the debt with the highest interest rate first, while making minimum payments on the others. This method saves the most money in interest over the long term.
The Debt Snowball Method: This method focuses on paying off the smallest debt first, regardless of the interest rate. Once the smallest debt is paid off, you move to the next smallest, and so on. While this method may not save as much in interest, it provides psychological wins as you pay off each debt, which can keep you motivated.
Step 4: Negotiate Lower Interest Rates
High interest rates can make it harder to pay off debt, so consider reaching out to creditors to negotiate lower rates. Many credit card companies, banks, or lenders are willing to work with you, especially if you have a good payment history. A lower interest rate means more of your payment goes toward the principal balance, which helps you pay off debt faster.
Additionally, if you have multiple credit cards, consider transferring balances to a card with a 0% introductory APR. Just be sure to pay off the balance within the introductory period to avoid interest charges.
Step 5: Consider Debt Consolidation
If managing multiple debts becomes overwhelming, you might consider debt consolidation. Debt consolidation involves combining several debts into one loan with a single monthly payment. This can simplify your repayment process and often result in a lower interest rate.
Options for consolidation include:
Personal loans from a bank or credit union
Balance transfer credit cards
Home equity loans or lines of credit (if you own a home)
Be cautious with debt consolidation, though, as it’s important not to accumulate new debt while paying off the consolidated loan.
Step 6: Avoid Accumulating More Debt
One of the most important steps in managing debt is avoiding the temptation to take on more debt while you’re trying to pay off existing balances. To do this:
Stop using credit cards (unless they offer significant rewards you can pay off each month).
Avoid taking out new loans unless absolutely necessary.
Build an emergency fund so you don’t rely on credit for unexpected expenses.
Step 7: Build Good Credit Habits
As you work to pay down debt, it’s essential to build healthy credit habits that will help you maintain financial stability in the future. Here are a few tips:
Pay bills on time: Late payments can result in fees and damage your credit score.
Keep credit card balances low: Ideally, keep your credit utilization ratio (the percentage of your credit limit that you’re using) below 30%.
Monitor your credit score: Regularly checking your credit score helps you track your progress and spot potential issues before they become major problems.
Step 8: Seek Professional Help If Needed
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by your debt, it may be helpful to seek guidance from a financial advisor or a credit counseling service. These professionals can help you:
Create a debt management plan
Negotiate with creditors
Provide budgeting and financial education
Many nonprofit credit counseling agencies offer free or low-cost services to help people manage their debt and improve their financial situation. KVR?
Conclusion:
Managing debt effectively is about creating a clear plan, sticking to your goals, and making consistent progress. While it may take time, the effort you put into paying down debt will pay off in the form of greater financial freedom and peace of mind.
Start by understanding your debt, creating a realistic budget, and using a repayment strategy that works for you. Remember, the road to financial freedom is a marathon, not a sprint, but every payment you make brings you one step closer to a debt-free life. Stay disciplined, avoid taking on more debt, and soon you’ll find yourself in a much stronger financial position.

Cash Advance in Quebec: Fast Financial Relief for Short-Term Needs
For Quebec residents needing quick cash to cover unexpected expenses, a cash advance can offer fast access to funds. This short-term financial solution is designed to help manage urgent costs like medical bills, car repairs, or utility bills, providing you with immediate cash when you need it most.
Here’s what you need to know about cash advances in Quebec, including how they work, requirements, benefits, and some important considerations before you apply.
What Is a Cash Advance?
A cash advance is a short-term loan that provides immediate funds, usually repaid on your next payday or within a few weeks. In Quebec, cash advances are often offered by payday lenders and online loan providers, making them accessible and convenient for those facing temporary cash flow issues.
How Does a Cash Advance Work?
Application: You can apply online or at a cash advance location in Quebec. The application typically requires basic information like your ID, proof of income, and bank details.
Approval Process: Cash advances don’t usually require a credit check, so approvals are quick, often within minutes.
Funding: Once approved, the funds are sent to your bank account, sometimes within hours through e-Transfer or direct deposit.
Repayment: The loan amount plus any fees is usually due on your next payday. Some lenders may offer flexible repayment options for a slightly longer term.
Benefits of Cash Advances in Quebec
Quick Access to Funds: Cash advances are ideal for emergencies, as they provide immediate funds without lengthy approval times.
No Credit Check Needed: Most cash advance providers don’t perform a credit check, making them accessible to people with low credit scores.
Flexible Usage: You can use a cash advance for a wide range of expenses, from car repairs to last-minute travel.
Easy Online Applications: Many Quebec lenders offer online applications, allowing you to apply from the comfort of your home.
Requirements for Getting a Cash Advance in Quebec
To qualify for a cash advance, lenders generally require:
Proof of Income: Regular income, such as employment income, government benefits, or pension funds.
Canadian Bank Account: A bank account for direct deposit and repayments.
Government-Issued ID: Proof of identity and Quebec residency.
Contact Information: A valid phone number and email address.
Things to Consider Before Taking a Cash Advance
While cash advances provide immediate financial relief, there are a few important considerations:
High Fees and Interest: Cash advances often come with high fees. In Quebec, payday lenders can charge up to $15 per $100 borrowed, which can add up quickly.
Short Repayment Period: Repayment is typically due on your next payday, which can be challenging if you don’t have enough cash flow to cover the loan.
Risk of a Debt Cycle: Repeatedly relying on cash advances may lead to a cycle of debt. Borrow only what you need and plan to repay on time.
Tips for Using a Cash Advance Responsibly
Borrow Only When Necessary: Use a cash advance only for urgent expenses that can’t be postponed.
Budget for Repayment: Make sure you’ll have sufficient funds to repay the loan on time to avoid additional fees.
Explore Other Options First: If possible, consider alternatives like personal loans, borrowing from family or friends, or using a credit card cash advance if it’s more affordable.
Understand the Terms: Be clear on the fees, interest rate, and repayment schedule before agreeing to the loan.
Alternatives to Cash Advances in Quebec
Credit Union Loans: Many credit unions in Quebec offer short-term loans at lower interest rates than payday lenders.
Installment Loans: These loans allow for longer repayment periods and may offer better terms than cash advances for those who qualify.
Credit Card Cash Advance: While credit card cash advances have high interest, they might still be cheaper than payday loans if paid off quickly.
Community Assistance Programs: For essential expenses, check if any local resources or assistance programs in Quebec can help.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. Can I get a cash advance with no credit check in Quebec?Yes, most cash advance lenders don’t require a credit check, focusing instead on your income and ability to repay.
2. How much can I borrow with a cash advance?Cash advance amounts typically range from $100 to $1,500, depending on your income and the lender’s policies.
3. How quickly can I receive the funds? Many lenders offer same-day or next-day funding, particularly if you apply online.
4. Are cash advances expensive?Yes, cash advances come with high fees due to their short-term nature. In Quebec, the maximum fee allowed is $15 per $100 borrowed.
5. What happens if I can’t repay my cash advance on time?If you’re unable to repay on time, contact your lender. Many lenders offer extensions, but they usually come with additional fees. Avoid defaulting, as it could negatively impact your financial situation.
Cash advances in Quebec provide a quick financial solution for short-term needs, but they come at a cost. While they can help in emergencies, it’s essential to borrow responsibly, considering both the repayment terms and potential alternatives. By planning carefully, a cash advance can provide the immediate relief you need without compromising your financial stability.
