i adamantly refuse to accept that i can't be “productive”. i don't know exactly why. partly because of this stupid ass capitalist society that screams at me to spend every waking hour job searching? partly because i want to create i want to create i want to create but most of the time i can't? yeah bit of both. heavy on the lack of personal creativity. sometimes all i can do is wake up, eat, work on some playlists, talk about my favourite shows and characters on here and maybe just maybe have a walk if i'm up to it. some weeks are really good and i can be super productive. whatever that means. and it's so fulfilling. but then i can't get myself to do anything for a week. i don't mean it and i hate it. but i can't change it, at least not right this second. maybe i will always be this way. i will hate it always but maybe just maybe if i start to accept it, the more i will have to give

#srsly i was watching this video and wtf#anyway my current personal hypothesis is that i do have adhd (or “[family name]-verstrooidheid” which is def also adhd but -#- i am not able to convince my grandpa of that)#but that my adhd and autism play off of eachother in a very weird way#bc I'm definitely some of these#and also definitely some symptoms that aren't explained by the autism#but also for adhd inattentive type I'm remarkably well organised and can focus better than some adhd peers#personally i think the organised is just bc i was raised in a very organised way so i just have a lot of systems to deal with forgetfulness#and the better focus might be me leveraging my autism to better steer the hyperfocus#but also idk#taking the time to get an assessment of some sort would probably be worth it#long term goals tho#adhd

me: well the science of personality is kind of a mess. especially for tests and typing systems. profiles often work because of the barnum or forer effect, which causes nearly everyone to feel acurrately represented by the same generic descriptions
the personality test: you favor an analyzing style! you are probably logical, thorough, and data-driven! when taken too far, you may find yourself nitpicking and overly critical

Finally watched Kung Fu Panda 4, tell me why it unironically changed my life
#I've never seen four movies work so well together#po's DADS#subliminal messaging about generational trauma but it's okay because it's a positive message#yes so interesting how po actually does have a lot in common with his enemies but he always chooses peace and understanding#crazy how some empathy goes a long way#the chameleon fr built her own empire so she could have stairs that were a good proportion for her size like#notice how the rabbits are treated in the movie and it will all make sense#except for those creepy ass happy tree friends bunnies what was up with that#they were hilarious though don't get me wrong#TAI LUNG'S CHARACTER ARC#i luv tai lung sm#i thought they were only going to have the shapeshifted version of him in the movie and it would be a cop out but omg i was mistaken#he actually came back and took accountability and actually complimented po and understood what it actually means to be a dragon warrior#then when he took the chameleon into the spirit realm he was doing what was done to him because he understood the chameleon but also po#also all of zhen's parallels to po it was so cool to see how someone who was not as soft and open minded could also be the dragon warrior#WTF MR BEAST WAS IN THIS MOVIE#But he played the panda pig that was being assessed on being a potential dragon warrior#aka blantantly impersonating someone who's seen as a good person for clout#also idk if the character being a pig has anything to do with it maybe a subtle gesture but obviously there are lots of pig villagers#i dont like mr beast and idk i just feel like there's a deeper reason why he's listed in the cast when he maybe had one line#did he pay to be in this movie...did he like know what the character would be#am i looking too much into it help#also also since you've read this far okay hear me out bryan cranston was in this movie right#hes also walter white#so he has huge range as an actor in that sense#you know who else has range#joaquin phoenix#he played joker and kenai in brother bear#YEAH BROTHER BEAR IKR#but like...brother bear. breaking bad! idk i just feel like there's a connection there why so many b's and why am i obsessing over this help

I've had that realisation with other kids, tbf. back then, I was very taken with these 2 boys who seemed very old-headed to me and wanted to be their friend. and I did hang out with them for a bit but we then had a falling out over something dumb.
they were the only other kids at school who liked video games, and were kinda shy outcasts who spoke in an oddly formal manner for 9-year-olds, and now I'm like ohhhh lol. I see why we flocked together now.
#one of them I remember had a personal tutor at school that would sit in on classes sometimes#it used to make me a little bitter (not over him personally) years afterwards that no one had bothered to look into or accomodate me#but hey what can you do#altho I think I've mentioned before that a literal Child Psychologist was there to screen him discreetly one day#and it turns out that. completely against my parents' knowledge#the teachers had also asked him to screen me while he was there LMAO#like. getting a freebie I guess. while you're here this one's a bit weird can you watch that one as well#his assessment of me was apparently ''emotionally immature''#and I guess no one in my life ever bothered to follow this up. oh well.

i got like 10 people to take the RAADS-R test today
the topic of autism and self diagnosis came up again, and i always go "the first place i went to told me to pay $3000 for the assessment + with a diagnosis there comes a ton of legal barriers such as immigration, so until all of that stops being a thing, self diagnosis is totally okay as long as you're looking at reputable sources for that information"
which became people comparing RAADS-R scores, and then more people started the test as well.
Out of everyone there, one person got below an 80— with a 20. (The threshold for autism is 60+/240, I got a score of 190)
#and i got to talk to a bunch of people about synesthesia and hyper/a-phantasia as well#i sent so many people links to websites today#and i find it funny that i spend most autism conversations deterring people from getting a formal diagnosis despite having one myself#i think if you can get supports through a different diagnosis with less weird legal issues then absolutely do that instead#i was extremely lucky to get in with a psychiatrist that did assessments for free eventually#but the first place was like “our ASD assessment service is a total cost of around $3000”#also referring all the autistic people to autism supports (there's so many good ones in my city and i know them all)#i am also love learning more about the overlap between queer identities and autism (and just neurodivergency in general)#i personally know some of the people doing research in that area and I've participated in like 8 different projects#anyways yeah i thought it was funny that out of 15 people there was 1 allistic person#autism#actually autistic#autistic#actuallyautistic

Some people are not meant to succeed at things and if i think back to all my scientific grant application responses, I think I remember some PI out there very bluntly and confidently telling me I was one of them
#actually the problem I'm having now was very similar to my scientific problems#which was that nobody cared enough about peripheral nerves to fund research about them#AND they didn't know enough about peripheral nerves to accurately assess my grant#'why not just study this agonist this is a waste of time'#well sir motoneurons don't have receptors for that particular agonist so the study would be quite boring#still lolling at the person who marked Northwestern as a subpar research institute#like honestly I should have been allowed to DQ their score ONLY based on that#someone should have seen that and gone oh this person is a nutcase let's strip them of their position#but no#my future was determined by these goons

I have rewatched the three major ted/rebecca scenes of the finale and it was an excellent experience. If you’re feeling up to it, I highly recommend.
#to be honest my experience was pretty positive the first time#but now I feel confident in that assessment#and if I read one more complaint about ted being a shut down pod person who gave no reaction to rebecca's emotional goodbyes?#well nothing will happen but please god try rewatching the episode#Jason is so lovely in that airport scene#also the way Rebecca says the thing about staying with her family and the ‘matriarch’ line? that fulfills Tish’s predictions *for me*#I get the read of it as a red herring of everything being fulfilled and then *bam* boatman#but to me it’s finished at that point and boatman is just icing on some people’s cake#(not mine)#(but some people)#ted x rebecca#ted lasso spoilers
