examining a seemingly normal image only to slowly realize the clear signs of AI generated art.... i know what you are... you cannot hide your true nature from me... go back where you came from... out of my sight with haste, wretched and vile husk

#BEGONE!!! *wizard beam blast leaving a black smoking crater in the middle of the tumblr dashboard*#I think another downside to everyone doing everything on phone apps on shitty tiny screens nowadays is the inability to really see details #of an image and thus its easier to share BLATANTLY fake things like.. even 'good' ai art has pretty obvious tells at this point #but especially MOST of it is not even 'good' and will have details that are clearly off or lines that dont make sense/uneven (like the imag #of a house interior and in the corner there's a cabinet and it has handles as if it has doors that open but there #are no actual doors visible. or both handles are slightly different shapes. So much stuff that looks 'normal' at first glance #but then you can clearly tell it's just added details with no intention or thought behind it. a pattern that starts and then just abruptly #doesn't go anywhere. etc. etc. )#the same thing with how YEARS ago when I followed more fashion type blogs on tumblr and 'colored hair' was a cool ''''New Thing''' instead #of being the norm now basically. and people would share photos of like ombre hair designs and stuff that were CLEARLY photoshop like #you could LITERally see the coloring outside of the lines. blurs of color that extend past the hair line to the rest of the image #or etc. But people would just share them regardless and comment like 'omg i wish I could do this to my hair!' or 'hair goallzzzz!! i #wonder what salon they went to !!' which would make me want to scream and correct them everytime ( i did not lol)#hhhhhhggh... literally view the image on anything close to a full sized screen and You Will SEe #I don't know why it's such a pet peeve of mine. I think just as always I'm obsessed with the reality and truth of things. most of the thing #that annoy me most about people are situations in which people are misinterpreting/misunderstanding how something works or having a misconc #eption about somehting thats easily provable as false or etc. etc. Even if it's harmless for some random woman on facebook to believe that #this AI generated image of a cat shaped coffee machine is actually a real product she could buy somewhere ... I still urgently #wish I could be like 'IT IS ALL AN ILLUSION. YOU SEE???? ITS NOT REALL!!!!! AAAAA' hjhjnj #Like those AI shoes that went around for a while with 1000000s of comments like 'omg LOVE these where can i get them!?' and it's like YOU #CANT!!! YOU CANT GET THEM!!! THEY DONT EXIST!!! THE EYELETS DONT EVEN LINE UP THE SHOES DONT EVEN #MATCH THE PATTERNS ARE GIBBERISH!! HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE THEY ARE NOT REAL!??!!' *sobbing in the rain like in some drama movie*#Sorry I'm a pedantic hater who loves truth and accuracy of interpretation and collecting information lol #I think moreso the lacking of context? Like for example I find the enneagram interesting but I nearly ALWAYS preface any talking about it #with ''and I know this is not scientifically accurate it's just an interesting system humans invented to classify ourselve and our traits #and I find it sociologically fascinating the same way I find religion fascinating'. If someone presented personality typing information wit #out that sort of context or was purporting that enneagram types are like 100% solid scientific truth and people should be classified by the #unquestionaingly in daily life or something then.. yeah fuck that. If these images had like disclaimers BIG in the image description somewh #re like 'this is not a real thing it's just an AI generated image I made up' then fine. I still largely disagree with the ethics behind AI #art but at least it's informed. It's the fact that people just post images w/o context or beleive a falsehood about it.. then its aAAAAAA

me, stupidly and weirdly resistant to listening to audio books vs reading a physical book for no real reason: man i wish there was a way to like, read a book while i crochet like i do with tv shows and movies and podcasts

Feels Bad #even listening to a more. uh. Story type podcast or fiction like nightvale was a bit difficult to start for me. i like nightvale now i #listened. but i worry that is clocking in my brain as an Exception 😔 maybe it would be easier if i tried some nonfiction books? scary #i also struggle with single host podcasts apparently even tho im also ehhhh on the kind where the structure is the host Interviewing a #different person everytime? maybe it would be okay with a nonfiction audiobook tho cos it would be getting read by a narrator and not sound #so much like a guy ranting into a mic which makes me feel a little insane. altho propaganda doesnt necessarily always sound like a guy #ranting into a mic so idk. i could probably make it through if i can find a nice book about like. parasitic worms. i could tolerate #feeling like im falling into sigma male affirmations videos for worms i think. wormffirmations are allowed #*to clarify i dont listen to those but listening to better offline makes me feel like im morphing into the kinda guy who does and i hate it #which feels unfair cos he is RIGHT and the podcast is good but i need there to be like a cohost there to break the tension of the Ranting #sometimes he has guests on? but its not quite the same #i think the format i like best is either like 2 or 3 regular cohosts discussing things within a specific topic #OR. 1 host whos like infodumping to the other host who knows nothing about the subject. OR. 2 hosts info dumping to each other about #different aspects of the subject. OR. 1 host who brings on fun guests to infodump to them about a subject. and then obviously the subject #needs to intrigue me. ex. sawbones well theres your problem (I HATE THAT THIS ONE IS BEST EXPERIENCED ON YOUTUBE😭 I WANT THEM TO JUST DUMP #ALL THE SLIDES INTO A BIG BLOG POST SOMEWHERE AND I CAN CHECK IN AND FOLLOW ALONG THAT WAY WITHOUT HAVING TO HAVE MY PHONE SCREEN ON THE #WHOLE TIME!!!!!!!!! but. im listening for free so its unreasonable to demand more of them BUT ALSO I FEEL LIKE JUST COPYPASTING ALL OF THE #SLIDES INTO A BIG BLOG POST ISNT THAT MUCH MORE EFFORT THAN EDITING A WHOLE YOUTUBE VIDEO? For a show that's supposedly about female empowerment, it's odd how every major female character is heavily influenced by men

Women whose fighting styles are based on men: Ruby (Qrow), Yang (Tai), Cinder (Rhodes)

Women whose ideologies are based on men: Weiss (opposition to Jacques), Blake (same as Ghira)

Women whose stories are almost completely intertwined with men: Nora (personal arc was figuring out who she was without Ren), Pyrrha (almost every scene with her prior to V3 was with Jaune), Emerald (almost every scene prior to v8 was shared with Mercury), Salem (motivated by Ozma's death, cursed by idiot brothers)

If the writing cast reflected the character cast, we probably wouldn't have this problem

#rwde #dont give me any drivel abt qrow basing his style on maria. she didnt exist until v6 and it shows #meanwhile in the v first episode ruby states qrow as the one who trained her #if maria had existed prior ruby wouldve gushed abt having a similar style as THE GRIMM REAPER #this problem tends to escalate w side characters. most groups outside our main protags/antags have a 1:3 woman to man ratio #and ofc every major person in power is a man bc why not #real tired of shows that have a majority x cast being handled by majority y people #this goes for race. sexuality. religion. any demographics w a clear hierarchy #if you wanna have a diverse show it has to be behind the screen too or else you are going to fuck up immeasurably #like writing that you should roll over for your oppressors and hope that theyll just give you your basic rights #ugh #also clarifying major characters as ones that span most the show not ones that center in specific seasons #but p sure even those stories wouldnt function wo men taking some center stage

its wild just realizing how much people have done and experienced and how prepared they are for what's to come when i am . very much not . lmao

really wish people would read blog rules more, it makes running blogs like this very low reward and you feel like a machine if people aren't commenting and aren't even abiding by one of the, honestly, very few and politely phrased rules i even have

I don't want to turn off my anonymous function or accidentally block an anon if they are asking for personal testimonials / purely out of curiosity / not in bad faith, but please, do not ask me why I don't interact with certain individuals who may be in the same RPC as me, this includes if I have certain individuals hard-blocked indefinitely. This is already outlined in my rules.

At the end of the day, I have my own personal reasonings, & it's not other people's PUBLIC business, & it's certainly not appropriate of me to blast random URL's on my dashboard for other people to see, who may not even be in the same RPC.

Just because I share the same RPC as someone, doesn't mean I'm obligated to write with them or share all of their mutuals. I'm not obligated to be part of someone's friend group / discord group either, & I'm currently not in any at this time. If I ever break mutuals with anyone, that is no one else's business besides my own unless I choose to tell you.

It could be as something simple as portrayals being incompatible, one of my zero-tolerance / 3-strike rules being broken, or I write content that is specifically on a person's DNI / trigger list ( which is very common & usually the reason in my experience, I avoid as a courtesy unless they express otherwise that it's okay to interact ). I'm not mad at all, I just want to emphasize that I won't answer inquiries about matters like this that include URL's.

I feel like some of y’all are young and new to large fandom spaces, so I need you to understand what Canon means.

If something is not stated in the canon material, it is not canon information.

If it’s popular fan theory, it is not canon information.

If it is stated by a creator or member of the crew, but did not make it to the final cut, it is considered Non-Canonical until published under the title. It is not canon information.

If you can’t produce a screenshot from the final cut, it’s is not canon information.

If the information is debatable, it’s not canon.

If Every Single Viewer Does Not Have Access to A Direct and Explicit Reference to The Information Within the Media Being Consumed, it is not canon information.

If something is canon in your heart, that’s cool. Power to you. But that does not make it universally canon, and it’s not cool to to demonize other people in the community based on your personal ideas.

You did not create these characters. You don’t get to tell other people what to think about them. Just block what you don’t like and move on.

I’m not saying don’t be passionate about your blorbos, I’m saying don’t use the idea of canon as an excuse to be a jerk. Especially if you can’t show proof.
