I don't get why people hate the timeline so much, its not like you can't pretty much completely ignore it when you play the games. The only time it even approaches mattering to the story is when there is an explicit sequel like botw and totk or zelda and zelda 2

Hey sorry your ask got lost in the sauce of my broken tumblr, but: yeah!

I mean, I get why in some sense. It's been a heated point of debate and I think some people understandably resent the space it has taken not only in fandom discourse, but in how people began to understand the game and its narrative aesthetic choices. There is such a thing as over-rationalizing everything to hard logic, and sometimes it's just not the fandom for that --especially when you begin to forget it's all just fan theory and start to forget what the games are supposed to be like and evoke beyond just strict facts displayed in a linear way.

What I think bugs me with TotK in particular is that it both evokes and relies on continuity and the idea of a timeline, of archeology, of history itself, while being so loose and vacant with it that it both is doing Timeline Shit while also completely failing to understand why some parts of the fandom were invested in Timeline Shit to begin with.

But that's just my two cents of course!

I think a very unique feature about webcomics that can be a lot harder to see in official publications is the fact that you can actively watch years of hardwork and improvement just slowly build up over time.

Interview with Audio Dramatist, Pete Lutz

Pete Lutz has spent years exploring different paths, still uncertain of a final direction for his life. Along the way, he’s had a rich and varied journey: married three times (the third time being the charm), served 20 years in the U.S. Navy, traveled the world several times, raised three children, and held a variety of jobs—including paperboy, farmhand, reporter, photographer, typist, firefighter, welder, instructor, recruiter, and customer service representative.

While these roles provided steady income, they didn’t bring him much fulfillment. For that, Pete turned to audio dramas. Since 2013, he has written over a hundred scripts and produced nearly as many audio dramas. Additionally, he has contributed his voice to hundreds of other productions. Despite starting later in podcasting, Pete is determined to catch up, joking that the one with the most completed episodes by the end wins!

I've been using this blog since I started college, and now, I'm less than 3 weeks from finishing my Environmental Geoscience degree (with a Minor in Soil Science)! ☺︎ I cannot tell y'all how much I've learned these past few years. About myself and about what I want to do in the world. About how much I've grown, not just as an artist, but as a storyteller.

I like to think this is much more than just an art blog, because if you've followed me long enough, you know I love to go on long tangents about the most random things and post about my many other interests. And I love doing it! I love being myself on this blog and I love the freedom of it all.

And the people on Tumblr! Ha. Never did I think I would be online friends or acquaintances with so many talented artists and creatives. I'm not always able to spur the same energy I could in the past, struggling with depression does that and becoming an adult is it's own can of worms, but you guys make me feel like a hundred bucks despite it all. And I cannot thank you enough.

Art has always been a way for me to express myself. Whether i'm feeling like a soggy sad puddle or feeling I'm at the top of the world. And being able to so freely draw whatever I want without judgment is something so very very special. It's a passion that I am very lucky to have kept with me in life. I wouldn't be the same person without it.

To all those who've followed me for the Chara Timeline, my heart goes out to you all in gratefulness. I know having a comic on such a long hiatus may be disappointing, but it's given me so much time to live my life and I appreciate every comment i've ever gotten on it.

And for the crazy amount of people just joining in from my Hollow Knight Comic, GOLLY. There's so many of you!! And all of you are so sweet and supportive too! It's so amazing.

What Love Says… Believe

When we all remember love, unconditional love becomes our inner magic, is a bountiful supply found everywhere and in every soul having a human experience. As we choose to believe in our hearts guidance we remember we are love, we are unconditional love, through which we shift change and collectively we become our true authentic selves.

As we recognize love is in everything this recognition and remembering makes unconditional love shine in every heart. We are not separate from one another and as one heart shares unconditional love, all hearts feel the energy. Love energy is in everything.

All you require is to remember YOU are love, you are loving and lovable. In this remembrance every cell of your being knows unconditional love and your beautiful soul whispers that sweet love in you and through you moment by moment. Believe in love that you are.

Believe in yourself while you explore life through the eyes of unconditional love as you do embrace your childlike curiosity, wonder and spontaneity! Moment by moment delight in who you are as you are, believe in unconditional love on your way to creating.

Believing in yourself and unlimited potential that you are, become a powerful creator. When you believe in yourself you create a love so great, so full of joy, passion and excitement the love energy from within spreads like wildfire to all hearts. You choose to either believe or not in yourself. If you wish to create a life you prefer begin believing you are unconditional love expressed from your soul dancing with the human experience.

Moving into heart-centred being ness you begin to feel, imagine and create the love you desire to see in the world.
